Adios, mi dulce Luna / Goodbye, my sweet Luna

Hola chicas:   La de hoy es una entrada que ni en mis peores pesadillas me habría imaginado escribiendo, especialmente tan pronto. Hoy, 29 de noviembre, por la mañana ha muerto Luna, mi niña peluda, con sólo 4 añitos.   Llevaba un tiempo más tranquila de lo normal, pero empezamos a sospechar que algo no iba bien hace unos 10 días. No hacía más que dormir, sin moverse del mismo sitio en todo el día y un par de días después ya no quería comer ni beber.   Yo soy de esas personas que no piensa siempre en algo malo como primera opción y al principio achacamos esa mayor tranquilidad a que iba siendo 'una niña mayor', a la última visita de Marian con Molly ya que hacía mucho que no se veían... pero la segunda visita al veterinario reveló una anemia bestial -no tenía apenas glóbulos rojos 'sanos'- , que debía llevar gestándose meses. Por si no lo sabéis, los gatos son demasiado sufridos y no dan señales de estar malitos hasta que están muy malitos.    Ha estado con medicación de varios tipos, que no toleraba nada bien. La última en una dosis que era demasiado para ella. Estos dos últimos días han sido horribles. Pero a pesar de todo, a ratos sacaba esa fuerza que ella tenía y que me hacía albergar una pizca de esperanza.   Ha muerto prácticamente en mis brazos. Le había puesto en el móvil un video de música relajante. Ayer mismo le habíamos puesto uno en la tele y se había tumbado en el sofá pidiendo mimos como siempre que le decías algo y pensé que hoy le ayudaría a estar más tranquila.    Tanto mis padres como Marian la vamos a echar de menos horrores. Era - ¡Dios, cómo duele hablar de ella en pasado! - lista como ella sola: era capaz de abrir las puertas de la casa, nos seguía como un perrito: con mi madre en la cocina, encima de la encimera o de la inducción mientras cocinaba. A mí se me subía en el portátil si le parecía que llevaba demasiado tiempo delante de él, trabajando o navegando por la red. La cuarentena ha sido más llevadera con ella. Molly es un amor, pero es diferente. Se tumba en una cama y si quieres, pues ya vas tú a verla.    Abrir una lata de atún al natural en esta casa y no guardarle el caldito va a ser horrible a partir de ahora. Le encantaban los mejillones y langostinos y no callaba hasta que no comía un trocito. Hacía una compañía tremenda a mis padres mientras yo estaba trabajando. Somos bastante caseros y decir: 'Luna, tengo mantita' y subirse en tu regazo era todo uno.    Mañana tengo que ir a trabajar y no sé cómo hacer para aparentar que estoy bien durante 5 horas.     Nuestro único consuelo ahora mismo ha sido que ha tenido 4 años en los que ha vivido como una reina. La tenemos desde que tenía unos 3 meses: vivía en una especie de caseta, en la huerta de unos primos en un pueblo cercano, con el resto de su camada y un perro guardián, todos llenos de pulgas.        Os dejo con la que creo que es su última foto -tenemos miles de ella en los móviles-. Hace unos días estrené cama y aún malita, no pudo evitar subirse para darle su aprobación.     Sé que muchas de vosotras tenéis mascota y que sabéis qué duro es perderlas.

Hi girls,   Today is a post I'd never imagined myself writing, especially so early. This morning, today, November 29th, my beloved Luna, my furry daughter, has passed away.   She'd been more subdued than usual for some time, but we were convinced there was something really wrong with her about ten days ago. All she did was sleep in the same spot and got to the point that she refused food and water.    I'm the kind of person who never thinks about the worst case scenario when something happens, so we assumed she was just 'a mature girl' now, put it down to Marian and Molly's latest visit -it had been a while since that -... but the second visit to the vet revealed her red blood cell count was appallingly low and that must have been plaguing her for months. In case you don't know cats are rather uncomplaining and when it's evident they're sick, they're truly sick.   She's been on different forms of meds for a few days, that she didn't take too well. The last one was a dose so high that she took a turn for the worse sooner than we imagined. These last two days have been hell. And yet, she could still gather enough strength to give us -or me- a glimmer of hope.   She's practically died in my arms. I'd played a relaxing video on Youtube for her, because we watched one yesterday and she even curled up in the sofa the way she used to do, begging for some cuddles. I thought and sincerely hope it would help her be more calm.    Both my parents and Marian are gonna miss her terribly too. She was -God, how it pains me to talk about her in the past tense!- smart beyond belief: she would open doors at home, would follow us around the house, while my mum was cooking she'd lie on the counter or the induction.  With me, she would plant herself on my laptop when she considered I'd been there long enough working or surfing the web.  She certainly made lockdown much more bearable.  Don't get me wrong, Molly is a sweetie, but she's different. She lies in bed pretty much all day and you have to go and pay her a visit if you want to see her.    Opening a can of tuna in its own juice won't ever be the same: no more saving the 'soup' for her. She loved mussels and prawns like you wouldn't believe and wouldn't stop meowing until she could try some. She kept my parents company big time while I was at work. We're all very homely and saying: 'Luna, I got a blanket on' and her jumping onto your lap pronto was a sight to behold.    I got to go to work tomorrow afternoon and don't know if I'll be able to keep a straight face for 5 hours.   Our only comfort at the moment is that she's lived a happy, pampered life these 4 years. We had her since she was a 3-month-old kitten: living in a shed-like home in a nearby village owned by some distant cousins, she and the rest of her cat family and a dog, all flea-infested...   The picture in this post is the last I took of her myself.    I got a new bed some days ago and sick as she was, she climbed up to give it her paws-up. I know some of you have pets and will know how bad it hurts to lose them.

Compras varias / Sundry Haul 2020 (VI)

Hola chicas   Hoy os traemos una entrada con compritas variadas que hemos hecho recientemente. Como ya habréis notado, Blogger ha cambiado la interfaz, así que veréis distintas probatinas -dentro de lo poco que sabemos hacer-.    1 - Revista Woman octubre (marox): Ya sabéis que cuando las revistas traen algo interesante, suelo picar.  En esta ocasión, la colaboración era con Benefit y venían 2 máscaras de pestañas diferentes. En otras ocasiones me he hecho con la Roller Lash y creo que nunca había probado la They're Real. Precio: 4,99€      2 - Revista Elle + Elle Decoración octubre (marox): Traía una minitalla del aceite de Nuxe, que nunca he tenido ocasión de probar. En mi caso, me ha tocado la versión floral -que es la que quería. Lo poco que lo he probado -en la piel-  me ha gustado, el olor es genial y no es nada... aceitoso. Sé que en algunos sitios han venido 3 revistas en el pack en total (con Esquire) Precio: 4,95€   3 - Base para uñas 9 en 1 de Revuele: Echando un vistazo al cajón donde tengo los esmaltes de uñas, recordé una base que usé en verano que estaba para tirar, así que he comprado ésta para sustituirla. Precio: 1.75€ en Primaprix. Por cierto, que no tenían muchas donde elegir esta vez.  4 - Desodorante Dove sin fragancia: También de Primaprix, por 1.60€. Aunque no contiene fragancia, sí que tiene aluminio, del que normalmente solemos huir. Pero hay días en los que nos queremos asegurar de oler bien, así que lo reservamos exclusivamente para ocasiones muy puntuales.       5 - Revista Glamour pocket, noviembre 2020 (marox): Por 2,50€ me pareció bien hacerme con el regalo que traía, un gel de TBS que ya he probado.  De lo que salía este mes, de momento es lo único que he encontrado. Sé que en otras ciudades ha venido con otros regalos (cremas de manos o mantecas de TBS, por ejemplo). 6 - Revista Instyle, noviembre 2020 (marox): Venía con 2 productos de Essence por 4,50€, en mi caso la máscara de pestañas y un labial. La otra opción era un brillo de labios mate que me habría encantado probar. Para el mes que viene anuncian espuma de Rituals (nueva) de regalo, así que quizá caiga. En diciembre nos bombardearán a agendas, que a mí no me hacen gracia.        7 - Ampollas anticaída de Revuele: Las compré en Primaprix, pero por lo que he visto en Internet las tienen a muy bien precio en tiendas como Primor.  Las tenían en una promoción de 2x1 a 4,95€. De momento, sólo he probado una.  Me quedan ampollas de L'Oreal aún -que por cierto, me encanta el aplicador con roll-on y lo uso con otras-, pero me ha parecido buena idea intercalarlas. Así aportamos distintos beneficios a nuestro cuero cabelludo. No sé el vuestro, pero el mío está muy necesitado. Esto ha sido todo por ahora.  Hasta pronto.

Hi ladies,    Today we have an assorted post, with different stuff we got recently. As you may have noticed, Blogger has recently implemented some changes to the interface, so you'll see us testing out different stuff. Not that we are too blog-savvy, mind you. 1 - Woman magazine, October issue (marox): You know me, if magazines have nice freebies, I'll try to get them. This month they teamed up with Benefit and came out with 2 different mascaras. Since other times I got the Roller Lash one, I was happy to find They're Real instead for a change. Price: €4.99 2 - Elle + Elle Decor, October issue (marox): The freebie was a mini of the famous Nuxe dry oil that I'd never had the chance to try. I got the Floral version, which is the one I wanted anyway. I've only tested it briefly on my skin and so far, so good. The scent is really lovely and the product doesn't feel... oily. Some areas got 3 different magazines in the bundle (including Esquire). Price: €4.95 3 - 9in1 Revuele Basecoat: Digging through my polish stash here I noticed I used a base in summer that wasn't good to use anymore, as it was all gooey and dry. This will replace it. Price: €1.75 at Primaprix. By the way, this time they didn't have a lot of basecoats to choose from.      4 - Dove fragrance-free deodorant: Also from Primaprix, for €1.60. It does have aluminium, an ingredient we normally stay away from. We'll save this for special occasions, those times you need to make sure you don't stink.   5 - Glamour pocket edition, November 2020 issue (marox): For €2.50 it was a decent deal and a chance to get my hands on this TBS shower gel again.  From all the issues that looked worth it, this is the only one I saw so far. I know other cities got entirely different freebies, such as TBS hand creams or body butters and stuff from other brands altogether. 6 - Instyle magazine, November 2020 issue (marox): This month's freebie was 2 Essence products for €4.50. I got the bundle with the mascara and the lipstick. The third option was a matte lipgloss that I'd love to try. Next month they've announced a new Rituals shower foam as a freebie. I may get it, rather than the endless list of planners December issues usually bring and that I find rather meh.       7 - Revuele Hair-loss ampoules: I bought them from Primaprix, but I've seen them around on the Internet at Primor -even better priced, I believe-. In my store they had a BOGO for €4.95.  I've only tried one so far.  I still have some from L'Oreal left -by the way, I love their roll-on applicator and use it with other brands-, but I thought it'd be a good thing to alternate. That way our scalp can get the most of these products and don't know about you, but my scalp is in need of some TLC. This is all for now. See you around.

Productos Terminados / Finito Products 2020 (VI)

Hola, chicas:   Parece que poco a poco se va instalando el frío entre nosotros, al menos por Castilla. Así que coged una mantita y pasad con nosotras unas minutos, leyendo sobre nuestros últimos terminados.   1 - Gel argán TBS: Me hice con este gel gracias a una revista, probablemente Glamour, hace unos meses. Con muy poca cantidad cunde. Nos ha gustado mucho a las 2. De esta linea únicamente había probado un bálsamo labial en formato latita. Me gustaría probar la manteca corporal correspondiente, así que ojalá vuelvan las revistas a hacer colaboraciones de este tipo para hacernos con más productos. Gracias a estas colaboraciones, suelo tener solucionadas las 'potiduchas'. Tengo otros 2 por gastar, de otros números de la revista, el último vino con la edición mini, así que salió todavía más a cuenta que éste, que vino con el tamaño grande de la revista. 2 - Desodorante Sanex 0%: Lo compramos en Primaprix, donde solemos comprar este tipo de cosas últimamente. Nos ha gustado mucho y aunque no lo hemos vuelto a ver, lo tendremos en cuenta para el futuro. 3 - Mascarilla tissú Sephora de té verde (marox): Compré esta mascarilla en rebajas, como podéis ver y he tardado algo en usarla. Es de las que tenéis que retirar una capa antes de ponerla.  Con estas mascarillas suele sobrar esencia: yo suelo guardar el sobrante en la nevera y me suele dar para un par de usos. Hacedlo con precaución, eso sí.     4 - Exfoliante 'Fortune Scrub' de Rituals: Vino con una revista hace una eternidad. Llevaba tiempo en mmi ducha pero lo usé mucho al principio y luego rarara vez me acordaba de él. Eso sí, es muy agradable de usar, no está suspendido en aceite como otro que tengo a medias en formato tarro. Aunque suelo ser partidaria de los tarros por aquello de que se aprovechan más los productos, en este caso prefiero este tipo de exfoliante, pero por la fórmula en sí.      5 - Mousse rizos Deliplus: Ya no está a la venta desde hace tiempo. Me gustaba mucho en su momento, pero desde que empezamos a usar el Potion 9 la usábamos esporádicamente. La última vez que intenté usarla la textura había cambiado, así que a la basura sin dudarlo.    6 - Base para uñas 'Better than Gel Nails' de Essence: Siempre ha sido una de mis favoritas, especialmente teniendo en cuenta su precio. Ésta estaba en nuestra segunda casa y la pobre está toda pastosa, así que se va a la basura. Esto ha sido todo por el momento. Hasta pronto.

Hi girls,   It's slowly getting colder, at least here in Castille. So cozy up and spend a few minutes reading about  our latest 'empties'.   1 - TBS Argan Oil shower gel: I got my hands on this shower gel as a magazine freebie, most likely with Glamour, a few months ago. A little really goes a long way with this. We liked it very much. The only product I'd tried from their argan line was a lip balm in a tin jar. I'd love to try the body butter, so fingers crossed that they'll partner again with the brand so I can test other stuff too. Thanks to these collabs, my 'pleasure showers' are taken care of. I still have another 2 left, from different lines. They came with other issues, the last one with the pocket edition which is an even better deal than this was. 2 - Sanex 0% Deodorant: We bought this at Primaprix outlet supermarket, where we tend to get all this stuff lately. We liked it a lot and although we haven't seen it again there, we'll keep an eye on it for a future visit.     3 - Sephora Green Tea Sheet Mask (marox): I bought this at a sale, as you can see, but it's taken me a while to use it. It does have a protective layer you need to peel off before you put it on. As with most sheet masks, there is leftover essence, so I keep them in the fridge and the remaining product is enough for a couple uses. Do this at your own risk, though. 4 - Rituals 'Fortune Scrub': This was a magazine freebie, a lifetime ago. It's been in my shower for a really long time. Long story short: used it often at first but then sort of forgot about it. It is really nice to use, though, it isn't an oil-based scrub like another I have in use that comes in a tub. Although I normally go for products that come in a tub, I'd rather get this, but not because of the format but the formula itself.    5 - Styling mousse for curly hair from Deliplus (Mercadona supermarkets): It's no longer available and hasn't been in a while. I loved it back then, but ever since we switched to Potion9 I used it once in a blue moon. Last time I tried to do so, the texture was really funky, so it goes straight into our dustbin.      6 -  Essence 'Better than Gel Nails' base sealer: It's always been one of my favourites, especially considering how affordable it is. This was in our second home and it was all gooey, so I had to throw it away.   This is all for now. See you around.

Another year, here I am ready to share with you my birthday (about two weeks ago) gifts and gifts to self.
Let me start with the presents I got from marox.

1- Perfume "Fantasy" de Britney Spears.

No sé cómo se las apaña mi hermana para acertar siempre con los perfumes, teniendo en cuenta que los compra a partir de las reseñas que ve en Internet, en la página de Fragantica. Lo compró en *PerfumesClub*, que ofrece buenos precios y además devuelve más dinero con las compras que *Notino*.

I don't know how my sister does it to always nail the fragrances she gets me, considering she buys them online based on reviews from Fragantica. She got this from PerfumesClub *UK / US*, which offers great deals and more cashback than Notino *UK*.

Sabe que los que me gustan son los florales/frutales, y busca a partir de ahí. Lo he probado y me ha gustado mucho. Es un poco dulzón, pero sin empalagar.

She knows the ones I like the most are floral / fruity scents and bases her search on that. I've briefly tested it and I really like it. It's on the gourmand side, but without being cloying.

2- Manteca de Soap&Glory, "A cream come true" Body Butter.

Con este regalo jugaba sobre seguro, porque sabe que me encanta el olor a coco, y que las mantecas de Soap&Glory me encantan. Será mi próxima manteca cuando acabe la que estoy usando.

She was playing it safe with the next item, because she knows how much I love coconut-scented stuff and that I loved Soap&Glory body butters. It will be next on my vanity once I've used up my current one.


3- Gel de ducha de Soap&Glory "Clean A Colada" Shower Gel.

 

Estos de Soap&Glory se lo curran un montón a la hora de elegir nombres para sus productos. Este gel tiene olor a coco también, como la manteca. Ya lo he probado y hace una espuma muy cremosa.

The folks at Soap & Glory really go the extra mile when it comes to picking names for their products. This shower gel is coconut-scented, just like the body butter. I've tried it and I can tell you it does give you a very creamy lather.

Ahora vienen dos regalos no cosméticos.
And here come two non-beauty gifts.

4- DVD de The Corrs, Amsterdam 2001.

 

5- DVD de The Corrs, Baden Baden y Commonwealth Games.

 

Obviamente, no son DVDs oficiales. Pero siempre hay por Internet alguna grabación de algún concierto, así que preparó estos DVDs para mí.
Luego buscó imágenes para las carátulas, para presentarlo lo más bonito posible. Todavía no los he visto, pero me ha hecho mucha ilusión.

These are obviously non-official DVDs. But there's always some recording online of some show, so she made those DVDs for me.
She then searched for some pictures for the covers, so she could present those as nice as possible. I haven't watched them yet, but I was really excited to get them.

Ahora vamos con los autorregalos. And now onto the gifts to self.

6- Aceite de coco, de Sephora / Coconut oil from Sephora:

 

Lo compré en nuestra última visita a Sephora. Me encanta el formato en el que viene, muy práctico, y en que se aprovecha muy bien hasta la última gota de producto (o casi). Todavía no lo he usado.

I bought this on our latest visit to Sephora. I love the packaging it comes from, how convenient it is and how well you can really make the most of it and use it up to the very end (or almost). I haven't tried it yet.

7- Luz de emergencia "Help Flash" / 'Help Flash' emergency light.

Le regalamos hace tiempo una a mi padre, y me quedé con las ganas de comprarme una para mí. Así que decidí que mi cumpleaños sería un buen momento para regalármela.

 We gave one of these to my father some time ago, and I wanted to buy another one for me, so I decided my birthday would be a good time for a gift-to-self.

La compré por eBay. Me costó unos 28€ aproximadamente, incluyendo el envío. Para que me saliera un poquito más barata, aproveché uno de los cupones que eBay me hace llegar por mis ventas.

 I bought it on eBay. I paid about €28, shipping included. In order to pay a little bit less for it, I used one of those coupons eBay gives me for my sales.

Espero no tener que utilizarla nunca, pero es una de esas cosas que siempre viene bien tener en el coche.

I hope I never have to use it, but it's a good idea to have one of these in your car.

PDLS / POTW: 17 'Pink Grapefruit'

Hoy traigo una manicura con un esmalte muy alegre que recibí en un intercambio, creo recordar, hace ya bastante tiempo. Ha sido la última manicura que he lucido este verano.

Como véis en el título, utilicé un esmalte de la marca inglesa 17, a la venta en la cadena Boots. Contiene 8ml y la fórmula es tirando a líquida, lo que hace que sea fácil de aplicar. Con esmaltes así, os recomiendo dar un par de capas finitas. Si mal no recuerdo, no apliqué topcoat, aunque sí usé una base de Essence debajo. 

Today I have a very colourful mani with a shade that I got from a nail swap, if memory serves, quite a long time ago. It's been my last mani this summer.

 As you can see from the title, I used a polish from the brand 17, available from Boots. It contains 8ml and the formula is on the thin side making application very easy. However, I'd suggest using two thinnish coats of laquers like these. If I'm not mistaken, I didn't use any topcoat, but I did apply this over an Essence base.

No objections as far as weartime goes, since pedis really last a long time on me.

Nada que objetar en cuanto a la duración, las pedicuras siempre me suelen aguantar sin mayor problema. 

PDLS / POTW: Yes Love

¡Hola chicas! Ya estamos en septiembre. Hay que ver cómo pasa el tiempo. Creo que este verano ha pasado sin darme cuenta apenas.

Hoy os traigo una pedicura con un esmalte que hace mucho que no usaba, puesto que lo tengo en nuestra otra casa. La marca Yes Love se puede encontrar en tiendas multiprecio desde hace muchos años. Os dejo un *enlace* que he encontrado, por si os apetece echar un vistazo a sus productos si no se venden donde vivís.

Apliqué una capa de la base de Essence BTGN (que está ya algo seca, dicho sea de paso) y 2 finitas de este esmalte. No apliqué topcoat, puesto que en los pies me suelen durar bien los esmaltes.
Al ser un tono tornasolado con algo de glitter, hay que tener un poco más de paciencia a la hora de retirarlo.

It's September already. Time does fly. Summer will be over before I realize.

Today I have a pedi for you, with a nail polish I hadn't used in a really long time since it's in our second home. The Yes Love brand can be found in many Spanish 'pound' shops for many years now. Here is a *link* in case you want to check out the type of products they offer if it's not available in your area.



I applied a coat of the Essence BTGN base -which is rather dry, to be honest- and 2 thin coats of this. I didn't use any topcoat since pedis last quite long on their own.

Since it's a duochrome shade with fine glitter, you need to be a bit more patient when the time comes to take it off.

And let me wrap this post up with a picture of Luna, who's now all thrilled playing ball with me. She really appreciates any toys you get her, bless her heart.

Compras varias acumuladas / Sundry Haul 2020 (V)

Hola, chicas:
Empezamos mes, poco a poco volvemos a la rutina, si bien de forma diferente a otros años. 
Hoy nos gustaría enseñaros nuestras últimas compras.

1 - Revista Marie Claire, agosto (marox): El mes pasado también piqué con ella, aunque no os la enseñé. En esta ocasión viene con otro libro y un brillo de labios en un tono bastante natural de Avon.

2 - Mascarillas tissú Mildeen (Aldi): Como en nuestra tierra sí que hay un supermercado Aldi, me animé a comprar estas mascarillas fabricadas en Corea, que tan buenas opiniones tienen. Había otra variedad más -té verde, creo-. Vienen en un pack de 2 mascarillas: una variedad es de granada y la otra de té negro. Tienen buena caducidad, así que gastaré otras primero.

 Aprovechando que tenía un cupón de 3€ de un email por suscribirme a su boletín de noticias, compré lo siguiente -entre otras cosas - en... *Primaprix*.

3 - Mascarillas tissú 'The Oozoo' (marox): Las conseguí por 3,95€ cada una. Esta marca coreana la tienen en *Sephora* y cuestan casi 9€ (también las tienen más baratas en PlanetSkin). Lo único malo es que caducan en unos meses, así que tendré que usarlas pronto. Cogí las 2 variedades que tenían, una de ácido hialurónico y otra con extractos de perla, trufa, etc. No las he probado aún.

3 - Desodorante roll-on Dove sin aluminio: Otro más para la colección, aunque de momento no lo usaré porque tengo más. Ya no me merece la pena comprar desodorantes por Internet. Éstos no están mal y los puedo comprar en tienda física. Además, así apoyamos un poco al comercio local, que falta hace en estos tiempos.
Precio: 1,60€

4 - Gel higienizante de Sephora, de almendra (marox): Me queda todavía un poco del que tengo, que compré poco antes de la declaración del estado de alarma y como me ha gustado mucho para llevar en el bolso, aprovechando que tuvimos que bajar al centro y allí hay un Sephora, aproveché.
Lo único que no me gusta, es el precio para la cantidad que trae, 30 ml. Está a la *venta* por 2,95€
La dependienta nos obsequió un par de muestras de la hidratante facial de Belief, que ya conocía gracias al set de minitallas.

Un detalle que me gustó mucho fue ver que en el centro la gente sí que iba toda con su mascarilla y bien puesta. Me temo que por nuestra zona se escaquea más la gente.

5 - Revista Glamour Septiembre 2020: Ya sabéis que cuando trae un regalo decente suelo picar. Antes de pasar por el kiosko suelo leer un par de blogs y ver algún video en Youtube sobre las revistas del mes para hacerme una idea de lo que traerán, aunque no siempre todo llegue a mi ciudad. De los regalos que traía Glamour gracias a la colaboración con la marca israelí *Sabon*, lo que más merecía la pena eran estos aceites de ducha. Yo me hice con el de jazmín, aunque tenían otros aromas en el kiosko. Trae algo más de 300ml. En su web cuestan unos 15 euros, así que hacerse con él por 3.95€ no está mal.

6 - Pack Hola + Hola Living: No esperaba encontrarla, pero hace poco Marian y yo tuvimos que ir al centro, por una zona por la que no solemos ir y por casualidad dimos con un macroestanco / macrokiosko, con revistas que no se encuentran en los kioskos de barrio. Por 3,95€ me hice con este pack, que traía como regalo una crema hidratante facial de *Naobay*, que tiene muy buena pinta.
Me va a pasar como con las cremas de manos, que tengo para 2 vidas entre alguna que he comprado y las que he conseguido con las revistas.

A new month begins and little by little we go back to our usual routine, albeit a bit differently this year.
Today we'd like to show you our latest purchases.

1 -  Marie Claire magazine, August issue (marox): I got last month's issue as well, though I didn't share that here. This time it had two freebies: a novel and a lip gloss from Avon in a very natural shade.

2 - Mildeen (Aldi) Sheet Masks: Since there is an Aldi supermarket in our hometown, we paid it a visit when we were there and I got my hands on these masks everyone raves about to try them out. They're made in Korea and there was a third type I didn't grab which I believe had green tea as the main ingredient. They come in a 2-pack. I got the pomegranate and the black tea ones. The expiration date is really good, so I'll use others first.

I happened to have a €3 coupon on an e-mail from... *Primaprix* for subscribing to their newsletter, so I paid this discount supermarket a visit and got the following, among other stuff.

3 - The Oozoo Sheet Masks (marox): These retailed at €3.95 each. The brand is sold at *Sephora* and they're sold at almost €9 there, so not a bad deal at all. The only catch is the expiration date is a couple of months away, so I'll have to use them sooner than later. I bought the two lines they had, one with hyaluronic acid and the other containing black pearl and truffle extracts.

3 - Aluminium-free Dove roll-on deodorant: Another one for my stash, but I won't be using it any time soon since I have at least another one. It's no longer worth it for me to order these online. These are OK and I can get them from a brick&mortar shop. Furthermore, I'm supporting a local business while doing so, something desperately needed in times like these.

4 - Sephora pocket hand cleansing gel, almond (marox): I still have some left, which I bought shortly before the lockdown. It is very pleasant to use and is convenient, so I bought a new one. We had to go downtown recently and there's a Sephora nearby, so I used the opportunity.
The only thing I don't like about this is the price, given that this is a pocket sanitizer with only 30ml in it. This *retails* at €2.95.
The salesgirl gave us each a sample of Belief's face cream that I'd tried thanks to the travel-size kit I got a while ago.

Something worth mentioning regarding our errands downtown was the fact that everyone there was wearing a mask and doing so properly. I'm afraid that's a responsibility people in our neighbourhood tend to shirk off more often than not.

5 - Glamour magazine, September 2020: You know that I always give in when it includes a nice freebie. Before heading to the nearest kiosk, I like to take a look at some blogs and Youtube channels that focus on monthly magazines and their freebies or lack of. That way I can get  an idea of what to expect, even if not everything they post makes it nationwide. From the freebies that came out thanks to this collab with Israeli brand *Sabon*, the ones that got more praise were their shower oils. I got the jasmine one, although I could find other scents too. It does contain a little over 300ml and they retail at about €15 on their website, so getting it for €3.95 was not a bad deal.

6 - Hola + Hola Living magazine bundle: I wasn't expecting to find this, but Marian and I had to go downtown recently, to an area we rarely go to and by chance, we saw a giant newsagents'. They sold magazines that don't make it to your neighbourhood kiosk. For just €3.95 I got this bundle, which included a *Naobay* face cream as a freebie that looks really nice. 
This is starting to resemble my hand cream situation. I have enough face cream for this life and the next between the ones I bought myself and the ones I get with magazines.
