Compras varias acumuladas: Sephora, Yves Rocher - Sundry haul: Sephora, Yves Rocher.

Aquí os traemos una nueva entrega de nuestras últimas compras potinguiles.



Definitivamente esta vez nos hemos vuelto locas con los precios ídem de Sephora.

Lo primero con lo que cayó Marian fue con este kit de Dr. Brandt.
Como sabéis, su exfoliante facial favorita hasta la fecha es precisamente la de esta marca. Lástima que sea tan cara (80€ el tarro de 50g).
Este kit incluye un tubo de 20g de esta misma crema. Así que ya sólo por eso, merece la pena hacerse con él. Además, incluye un extractor de puntos negros (7.5g), una loción matificante (7.5g), un refinador de poros (30ml) y un sobrecito de "Pore thing" (1g), que no sé lo que es, pero seguro que estará bien.



Compramos también este limpiador suave, de la línea "Yes to blueberries".
Está pensado para el cuidado antiarrugas.
Tiene una textura cremosa, y no hace nada de espuma. Deja una sensación en la piel como si te hubieras aplicado una crema hidratante. Además tiene un olor muy agradable.
Nos gusta usarlo por las noches, antes de irnos a dormir. A Marox no le hace mucha gracia este producto.

Y seguimos con "Yes to...", pero esta vez en lugar de arándanos azules son zanahorias.
Marox compró este bálsamo labial de "Yes to carrots" para nuestra madre. Tiene otro igual y le encanta. Deja los labios hidratados y sin esa sensación pegajosa que dejan otros bálsamos.

 

Para terminar con nuestras compras en Sephora, os enseñamos este esmalte que Marox compró al irrisorio precio de 1€.
Es el tono "Not that shy", un tono nude perfecto para una manicura francesa, por ejemplo.

Con nuestra compra, nos regalaron una muestra del perfume "Lolita Lempicka".
Han acertado de pleno, porque nos encanta a las dos.



Ahora vamos con nuestras compras en Yves Rocher.
En primer lugar, os enseñamos esta crema que ha comprado Marox, el gel crema de hidratación intensa 24 horas, de la línea "Hydra Vegetal".
Lo está usando como hidratante de noche, y la verdad es que no le está gustando demasiado. Es más crema que gel, así que tiene una textura más untuosa de lo esperado y la supuesta textura 'gel-crema' de la que presume no es tal.
Se supone que esta línea sustituye a la Hydra Specific (creo que se llamaba así). Marox compró alguna vez la crema de noche y quedó encantada con ella.
Por lo que parece, no han acertado con el cambio de formulación y Marox está deseando acabarla.

Y ahora vamos con lo que compró Marian.
Es este lápiz khol automático en color negro.
Marian había oído maravillas del khol negro de Yves Rocher, que antes tenían en otro formato (como si fuera una barra de labios, pero acabada en punta).
No es como su adorado lápiz automático negro de P2 que acabó hace tiempo, pero la verdad es que pigmenta bastante bien en la línea de agua, así que no se arrepiente de la compra.

Además, con nuestra compra, recibimos todo esto: muestras de colonia, muestras de la crema hidratante de la línea "Sebo Specific" para pieles grasas, y una muestra de una mascarilla capilar enriquecida con aceite de jojoba y libre de siliconas, que nos dijeron que iban a lanzar próximamente.

Bueno, pues esto ha sido todo por el momento.

Here we are again to show you our latest make-up related purchases.

Definitely, this time we've gone crazy with the crazy prices from Sephora.

The first thing Marian bought was this kit from Dr. Brandt.
As you know, her favourite facial exfoliating cream is just the one from this brand.
What a shame that it is so expensive (€80 the jar containing 50g).
This kit includes a 20g tube of this cream. So this kit is well worth the money just for this.
Besides, it also includes a blackhead extractor (7.5g), a mattifying lotion (7.5g), a pore refiner (30ml), and a 1g sample of "Pore thing", which I still don't know what it is, but surely it'll be good.

We also bought this smoothing facial cleanser from 'Yes to blueberries'. It's suitable for antiwrinkle care.
It has a creamy texture, and makes no foam when using it.
It leaves a feeling on the skin nearly the same as if you had applied a moisturizer.
Besides, it has a nice scent.
We both like using it at night, before going to sleep. Marox doesn't like the product very much, though.



Keeping on talking about 'Yes to...', but now carrots instead of blueberries.
Marox bought this lipbalm from 'Yes to carrots' for our mum.
She has another one of these and loves it. It leaves her lips moisturized, and without that sticky feeling other lipbalms leave.

To finish with our purchases at Sephora, we're showing you now this polish Marox bought at the ridiculous price of €1.
It's the shade 'Not that shy', a nude colour, perfect for a french mani, for example.



Together with our purchase, we were given a sample of Lolita Lempicka perfume.
They got it right, because we both love it.

Now let's move on to our purchases at Yves Rocher.

First of all, we're going to show you this cream Marox bought, the intense moisturizing cream, from the range 'Hydra Vegetal'.
She's using it as a night cream, but the truth is that she doesn't like it much.
It's more cream than gel, so its texture is greasier than expected despite its name. Don't get fooled by the 'gel-cream texture' the label boasts.
This range is supposed to be replacing the 'Hydra Specific' one (I think that was the name) that got discontinued. Marox used to occasionally buy the night cream, which she loved.
It seems they've failed changing the formula and is now looking forward to using this jar up.



Now we're going with Marian's purchase.
It's this automatic khol pencil in black.
Marian heard wonders about the black khol from Yves Rocher, which had a different format before (like a lipstick, but with pointed tip).
Well, it's not like her beloved automatic khol pencil from P2, which she used up a while ago, but it has quite a good pigmentation on the waterline, so she doesn't regret getting it.



Besides, we were given all these samples: two of perfume, four of the mattifying cream from the range 'Sebo Specific', and a sample of their forthcoming hair mask, enriched with jojoba oil, and silicone free.

Tercer pedido a Buyincoins / Third order to Buyincoins

Después de las fiestas navideñas, decidimos hacer un nuevo pedido a esta web. En esta ocasión, me llevó un par de días procesar el pedido, ya que la web fallaba continuamente. Aviso que a veces, váis a tener que armaros de paciencia, especialmente los domingos.

After the Christmas holidays, we decided to place a new order at this webshop. This time, it took me a couple of days to complete and process my order, as the site was repeatedly down. A word of warning: you may need lots of patience when ordering there, especially on Sundays from what I've observed.

El pedido original lo hicimos el día 9/1/2012, pero los problemas de la página que comentaba resultó que impidieron que lo procesaran y el mismo día que reclamé, me hicieron un reintegro. Así que ese mismo día, el 18 de febrero, añadí una cosa más a la cesta y llegó el 21 de marzo. El importe total de este segundo pedido fue de 22,32$, ya que gracias a *este foro*, me pude beneficiar del código de descuento '8%off063', con lo que nos ahorramos 2,01 $. Me parece que sólo se puede utilizar una vez.





The order was originally made on 9/Jan/2012, but to the above mentioned problems with the page, the order was not processed and I got a refund the same day I informed them about the problem. The very same day, Feb. 18th, I added another item to my order, which finally arrived on March 21st. The total amount of this second order was 22.32$, because thanks to *this forum*, I could benefit from the coupon code '8%off063', and got a discount of 2.01 USD. I think this coupon code can be used only once.

Al igual que en los pedidos anteriores que hemos hecho a esta tienda, hemos pedido artículos de belleza y también de otro tipo, de los que también os hablaremos a continuación. El conjunto del pedido, viene envuelto en varias capas de plástico de burbujas. El valor declarado -diez dólares- del pedido es inferior al real.

As with previous orders to this store, we've included both beauty items and other stuff to our shopping basket and will talk a bit about everything next. My order came wrapped in several layers of bubble plastic. The declared value -10 USD- is lower than the real one.

1- Tarjeta micro SD de 4GB: Para usarla en el Reader (si es que soy capaz de sacarlo de la funda oficial para acceder a la ranura). Viene con un adaptador SD, así que digamos que es un producto 2 en 1. Viene en una fundita protectora de plástico, como podéis ver.

1- Micro SD 4GB memory card: To be used on my Reader (as long as I am able to manage to get it out of the official lit case to access the memory slot). It comes with an SD adapter, so you could say this is a 2in1 product. Comes in a small protective case made of thick plastic, as pictured.

2- Paleta 36mm con espacio para 15 godets: Para prensar pigmentos, como ya hiciera Marian. Vino entre dos planchas de corcho blanco.
2- Empty 36 mm palette with 15 pans: For pressing pigments, just like Marian did. It came protected by two planks of polystyrene.




3- Placa de estampación imitación M70: No es para mí, pero imagino que funcionará igual de bien que las de Konad y las de Essence, o la de esta misma tienda que pedí hace unos meses.
3- Image plate fake M70: It's not for me, but I supppose it will work just as well as those from Konad or Essence plates, or the one I ordered from this store some months ago for that matter.

4- 100 bolsas para té de 6x8 cm: Vienen en una bolsita zip transparente. Llevan un cordoncito para cerrar la bolsita.
4- 100 tea bags 6x8 cm: They come in a small ziplock bag and have a string to close the tea bag.

5- Limas de cristal: Como seguro ya sabréis, este tipo de limas son las más adecuadas para dar forma a las uñas, en lugar de las tradicionales de cartón o metal. Vienen con una pequeña fundita de plástico blando.
5- Glass nail files: As you probably know already, these are the best suited to shape your nails, instead of your average cardboard or metal ones. These come in a soft plastic protective cover.



6- Cartera de aluminio: Pedimos una de estas carteras por Navidad -como las que anuncian en la tele, sólo que una décima parte más baratas- para un regalo, así que ésta es para marox.
6- Aluminium wallet: We ordered one of these for Christmas -they're the same as those seen on TV, for only a tenth of the price - for a present and this one is for marox.

7- sello + raspador para estampación: Al igual que la placa, no es para mí, así que no las he probado pero son similares a los del kit de Essence -aunque el raspador es de plástico, no metálico, así que incluso mejor.
7- stamper+scraper for nail art stamping: Just like the plate, it's not for me so I haven't tried them but these are similar to the one that comes with the Essence stamping kit for instance -though the scraper is made of plastic and not metal, which is even better.

8- 4 pilas recargables AAA: Para la luz de la funda oficial del Sony PRS-T1, que tras una pequeña prueba, descubrí que puede funcionar perfectamente con este tipo de pilas. Muuucho más baratas que en las tiendas de por aquí. Lamentablemente, es el único "pero" del pedido: yo pedí pilas AAA (las pequeñitas) y me han mandado AA (las normales). He reclamado, pero me las quedaré, ya que me valdrán para otras cosas, como la cámara digital. Tanto mi Olympus SP-500 UZ como mi Samsung ES-10 llevan este tipo de pilas. BIC me ofreció un reembolso de 0,50 $ como compensación.

8- 4 AAA-sized rechargeable batteries: For the light in the Sony PRS-T1 official lit case, which after a short test I discovered can work with these type of batteries. Waay cheaper than those available at the local stores. Unfortunately, this is the only 'but' regarding my order: I ordered AAA batteries (the smallest ones) and got AA instead (the standard ones). I notified BIC about this, but will keep them anyway as I can use these for other things, like my digital camera. Both my Olympus SP-500 UZ and my Samsung ES-10 carry these AA batteries. BIC offered to refund 0.50 USD as compensation.

Compras en Yves Rocher - Haul at Yves Rocher.

Creo que es la primera entrada que hago sobre compras que he hecho en Yves Rocher, pero no es la primera vez que compro allí. De hecho, si no me equivoco, hace más de 2 años desde mi primera compra, antes de mi afición potinguera desmedida, jeje.

Desde entonces, he probado varios de sus productos: con muchos de ellos he repetido; otros, ni frío ni calor, y otros, definitivamente no los he vuelto a comprar.

I think this is the first post on purchases at Yves Rocher, but it's not the first time I buy there. In fact, if I'm not wrong, it's been more than two years since my first purchase, before my make-up addiction, lol.

Since then, I've tried some of their products: I've repurchased many of them; others left me cold, and there have been other products which I haven't.

Los productos que os voy a enseñar a continuación no los había comprado nunca antes, así que no sé todavía si me van a gustar o no. Bueno, de la colonia he olido el probador en la tienda, así que no fui a ciegas con la compra. Probé todas las de esta gama de "Plaisirs Nature", y ésta fue la que más me gustó. Otra que me gustó mucho fue la de melocotón, pero la veo más para el verano.

Y el otro producto que veis es la manteca de karité 100%, que según reza su publicidad, repara intensamente la piel seca. No la hemos probado todavía, así que ya os contaremos cuando lo hagamos. Cuando probamos el tester, dejaba en la piel un aspecto brillante (lo que parece obvio, siendo 100% manteca). Haremos la prueba de fuego en nuestras zonas difíciles: codos, nudillos...

I've never bought any of the products you're about to see now, so I still don't know if I'll like them or not. Well, I smelt the tester of the perfume, so I wasn't buying completely blind when I got it. I smelt all the perfumes of the 'Plaisirs Nature' range, and this was the one I liked the most. I also liked the peach-scented one, but I think it's more suitable for summertime.

And the other product you see is the 100% shea butter, which, as advertised, repairs dry skin intensively. We haven't tried it yet, so we'll tell you when we do. When we tried the tester, we realized that it gave a shiny look to our skin (which seems obvious, as it's 100% butter). We'll make the acid test on our 'problem areas', such as our elbows, knuckles...

Ya que estábamos allí, se nos ocurrió probar los jumbos de ojos que han puesto en la colección permanente de maquillaje (los ha habido antes, pero como parte de ediciones limitadas).

Estos eran todos los que había.

While we were still there, we thought we could try the new eyeshadow jumbo pencils that are now on the permanent make-up collection (some of them were part of limited editions some time ago).

All of these are now on sale.

Nos fuimos a casa con los "chuaches" puestos, y nos costó quitárnoslos, así que podemos decir que son resistentes al agua de verdad.

We went home with our 'swatched hands', and it was quite hard to remove them, so we can say that these are really waterproof.

De repente me pareció que algunos colores se parecían a algunos de los jumbos de Deliplus, así que se me ocurrió hacer una comparativa justo al lado. Y yo creo que sí se parecen, pero juzgad vosotras mismas.

Suddenly I thought that some of them were similar to a few ones that I have from Deliplus, so why not make a comparison right next to them. I think they're almost dupes, but you can judge for yourselves.

Para terminar con las comparaciones, estuvimos buscando entre nuestros jumbos alguno que se pareciese al de arriba, el "Violet éléctrique", y lo comparamos con los que veis en la foto.

Como veréis, no se parece a ninguno.

To end up with comparisons, we were looking for a dupe for the 'Violet éléctrique' among all our jumbo pencils, and we compared it to the ones you see in the pic. As you can see, it doesn't look like any of them.


Si os gustaron los jumbos de Deliplus tanto como a mí, éstos de Yves Rocher son una buena alternativa. Ambos me aguantan en el párpado igual de bien. Son algo más caros -cuestan 4.90€-, pero si tenéis la tarjeta de fidelidad, podéis aprovechar algún descuento de los muchos que hace la marca.

If you liked the jumbo pencils from Deliplus the same as I like them, these ones from Yves Rocher are a good alternative. Both of them last on the lid pretty well. They're a bit more expensive, but if you have the store's loyalty card, you can grab some of all the discounts the brand regularly offers.

Si os interesa, en sucesivas entradas, os hablaré de los productos que más me han gustado de la marca. Tampoco es que haya probado toda la tienda, pero quizá os sea útil si tenéis intención de comprar algún producto.

Pecando en Bustillo - Giving in at Bustillo

Ayer a última hora nos pasamos por una de las tiendas que vende Essence y de las que os hablamos *aquí*, en concreto por la del centro que no es a la que vamos habitualmente y para nuestra sorpresa, no sólo tenían la discontinuación, sino que además ... (redoble de tambor): ¡han traído el mueble de tratamiento!.

Yesterday evening we popped into one of the beauty supply stores that sell Essence here we already blogged about *here*, i. e. the one downtown which is not the one we usually go to and to our surprise, not only did they have the items to be discontinued on clearance, but they also... *drumroll* have brought the second Essence display, the nail art one!

Así que como ya habréis deducido por el título de la entrada, nos hemos saltado la potidieta autoimpuesta y hemos cogido unas cosillas. Marian se compró el topper de purpurina 'Circus Confetti' y una de las sombras 'Taupe of the Pops' que véis en la foto. Para marox son los guantes, el pincel para delinear y la otra sombra topo.





And as you may have guessed from the title, we cheated on our self-imposed make-up diet and grabbed a few things. Marian got the glitter topcoat in 'Circus Confetti' and one of the 'Taupe of the Pops' eyeshadows. Marox got the nail & hand care gloves, the eyeliner brush and the other taupe eyeshadow.

Y al regresar, en otra tienda de productos de peluquería llamada 'La boutique del peluquero' nos llevamos otra sorpresa en el escaparate: la colección de esmates de craquelado de China Glaze. Ni idea de los precios o de si tienen más colecciones. Por lo visto, también tienen cosas de Peggy Sage, que estaban justo al lado en otro estante del escaparate y del que ya no hice foto con el móvil.

And on the way home, we passed by another beauty supply store called 'La boutique del Peluquero' and got another surprise when we stole a glance at the shop window: the China Glaze crackle collection. No idea of prices or availability of the brand beyond that LE. Apparently, they also have some Peggy Sage stuff, though I didn't snap any pic of that other shelf with my cellphone.

Compras en los "Precios Locos" de Sephora - Haul at the Sephora 'Crazy Prices' sales

Al igual que muchas de vosotras, también hemos aprovechado las ofertas de los "Precios Locos".

Esta vez eran locos, locos de verdad, precios de ganga.

Como una imagen vale más que mil palabras, aquí tenéis todo lo que compramos con sus respectivos precios.

Just like many of you, we've also made the most of the offers Sephora had at the 'Crazy Prices' sales. And this time, the discounts were crazy indeed, real bargains.
We'll do the pictures do the talking, so here is what we got and the prices.

Compramos el kit "Natural Eyes" de Make Up Forever, al escandaloso precio de 20€.

Contiene dos aqua cream, en tamaño normal (en los tonos 13 y 15), y dos lápices de ojos en tamaño mini.

Teniendo en cuenta que sólo cada aqua cream cuesta más de 20€, creo que la compra merece la pena. La nº15 es especialmente bonita.

We bought the 'Natural Eyes' kit from Make Up Forever, for a mere 20€. It contains two full size aqua creams (shades 13 and 15) and two mini eye pencils.
Considering aqua creams retail for more than 20€ each, this one was definitely a keeper. Shade 15 is particularly pretty.

Compramos además dos sombras dúo de Too Faced, al precio que veis, que es algo menos de la tercera parte de lo que cuestan normalmente, así que esta compra también ha sido una ganga. Por lo visto las han retirado, ya que en el mueble actual de la marca no hay ningún dúo de sombras, así que si le tenías echado el ojo a alguno, espero que hayáis aprovechado.


We bought two eyeshadow duos from Too Faced as well, 5 EUR each, which is like a third of their usual price, so another bargain here. Apparently these are discontinued, because the current counter had no eyeshadow duos, so if you had any of these in your WL, I hope you got it.

Ahora toca repartir estas compritas como buenas hermanas. De los dúos de sombras, Marian ha elegido el "Lucky Charms" y marox el "Lovey Dovey". El problema viene en cómo repartiremos el kit de MUFE. ¿Un aqua cream y un lápiz para cada una?

Habrá que meditarlo con la almohada.

Now it's time to share these purchases as good siblings. From the two duo eyeshadows, Marian has chosen 'Lucky Charms' and marox 'Lovey Dovey'. The only problem is how to share the kit from MUFE. An aqua cream and an eye pencil each?

Surely we'll have to sleep on it.

Compras acumuladas Mercadona - Overdue Mercadona Haul

Hoy os traemos un haul conjunto y acumulado, de las últimas compras que hemos hecho en Mercadona, con una pequeña opinión de cada uno de los productos.

Hi again,

Today we have a joint overdue haul for you, with the purchases we've done at the Spanish Mercadona supermarkets lately with a short opinion on each of the products.

-Serum reparador para puntas abiertas de Mercadona (para Marox): Es el segundo que gasto. Aplico una pequeña cantidad -una pulsación- mezclada con unas gotitas de aceite de almendras (también de Mercadona) en las puntas del pelo, y lo noto más hidratado y menos reseco. No hace milagros con las puntas abiertas, pero sí que las mantiene más suaves y con buen aspecto durante más tiempo. Como lleva silicona, procuro aplicar muy poquito. A veces también lo he usado como tratamiento reparador, al menos media hora antes de lavarme el pelo, sólo o mezclado con un poco de mascarilla. Cuesta 3,95 €.

- Split ends Repair Treatment Serum from Mercadona (for Marox): This is my second tube. I apply the tiniest amount -one pump- with a few drops of sweet almond oil (also available at Mercadona supermarkets) to my ends and they feel more moisturized and less dry. It doesn't do miracles to split ends, though it does make them softer and keeps them looking decent longer. As it contains silicones, I try to use the smallest amount possible. I have also sometimes used this as a leave-in repair treatment, applied at least half an hour before washing my hair, all on its own or mixed with some hair mask. Costs € 3.95.

- Alicates uñas (para marox): Para cortar las uñas de los pies, especialmente ahora con el tratamiento de Dr. Scholl *aquí*. En casa tenemos varias mucho más caras de ortopedia y éstas no les tienen nada que envidiar. Eso sí, acordaros de mover el accesorio que lo bloquea, no hagáis como marox y digáis que no funciona tan bien como las caras. Están hechas en Alemania y cuestan 4,90 €.

- Nail clippers (for marox): For toenails, especially now throughout the Dr. Scholl treatment *here*. At home we have several tools like these, though a lot more expensive and purchased at the surgical aids shop and these cheaper ones are every bit as good. Made in Germany and cost € 4.90.

-Crema/Manteca corporal de aceite de argán, porque nos ha encantado, para nosotras es un básico entre los productos de cuidado corporal.

-Argan oil body cream/butter, simply because we love it, it's a must-have among all the body care products.

-Crema antiarrugas (para marox): bueno, aunque Marian seguro que se la pedirá prestada alguna vez. Así no caduca, jeje. Marox pidió una *muestra en Mercadona de esta misma crema y de la crema de aloe vera, con idea de comprarla en un futuro si le convencía. La usamos como crema de noche y de momento, nos va bien. *Llevé un antiguo tarrito para lentillas y cogí un poquito, con permiso de la perfumera.

Por si os interesa, aquí os dejo una foto con los ingredientes de la crema.

-Antiwrinkle cream (for marox): well, surely Marian will borrow it from her from time to time. This way it doesn't expire, lol. Marox asked for a *sample of this cream at Mercadona, and also got a sample of the aloe vera face cream, thinking of buying it in the future if she likes it. We're using this as a night cream and so far, we like it. *Mercadona does not usually have samples, except for a limited supply of their newest releases, so we brought an oil container for contacts and put a small amount of them with the salesgirl's permission.

If you're interested in the ingredients of this cream, here is a pic.

-Espuma fijadora de efecto mojado para cabellos rizados (para marox): le encanta esta espuma, porque le deja los rizos definidos, suaves y brillantes. Sin embargo, a Marian esta espuma no le gusta nada, porque le deja el pelo muy grasiento, y prefiere la crema definidora de rizos (a la derecha de la foto "de grupo"), que le deja el pelo suave y los rizos definidos, como promete el producto.

-Hair styling mousse with wet effect for curly hair (for marox): she loves this mousse, because it leaves her curls defined, soft and shiny. However, Marian hates this product, as it makes her hair get very greasy, and prefers the curl definer cream (on the right of the group pic), which leaves her hair soft and defines her curls, as the product claims.

-Cápsulas de aceite de salmón (para marox) : porque si al pelo de Molly le ha funcionado bien el aceite de pescado (bien no, lo siguiente), ¿por qué no va a funcionar en el pelo de su amita tía?

-Salmon oil capsules (for marox): because if fish oil works great for Molly's hair (not just great, but the next thing), why should it not do wonders on her (Molly's) human auntie?

Hablando de Molly, ya sabéis que ella procura no perderse ninguna sesión de fotos. Aquí la veis probando la caja de luz de su mami.

El día 23 aprovechando que íbamos al centro comercial a comprar, hicimos una visitilla rápida al Douglas a ver si tenían algo interesante y resultó que sí.

On the 23rd, we paid a quick visit to the local Douglas drugstore/perfumerie, which happens to be inside the mall where we went to for some groceries. Not really knowing if there'd be anything interesting, it turned out they did have some interesting stuff.

Hace poco descubrí un nuevo blog alemán, Candy Glaze, donde mencionaban que las droguerías Douglas habían sacado su propia línea de esmaltes de uñas: Absolute Nails. En otras visitas a Douglas ya había visto que tenían unos miniesmaltes (similares a los de Deliplus de 1€ que os enseñé en su día), así como algún brillo de labios. No tenía demasiadas esperanzas de que los esmaltes de los que hablaban en aquel blog hubieran llegado a España y pensaba que de ser así, tardarían aún unos cuantos meses. Pero como podéis ver en las siguientes fotos, ¡estaba equivocada!.




I recently discovered a German blog, Candy Glaze, and in one of their latest posts they mentioned Douglas drugstores/perfumeries had just released their own line of nail polishes, Absolute Nails. In previous visits to our local Douglas, I noticed they did have some mini polishes (similar to the ones released last summer by Deliplus for just 1 EUR), as well as a few lipglosses. My expectations were not too high when we walked into the store, as I wasn't very hopeful these goodies had made it into Spain yet and thought that would take at least a couple of months. But as you can tell from the following undercover pics, I was wrong!!



La colección de esmaltes (hay testers) de la primera foto, incluye clones de varios esmaltes de Chanel, entre ellos el famoso Paradoxal, Black Pearl, Pearl Drop y Péridot *ver lista*. Traen 11 ml y cuestan 4,95 € cada uno. Como ya habréis deducido por la entrada de este post, no me pude ir con las manos vacías.
Douglas le había mandado a Marian un par de días antes un descuento vía SMS que se olvidó de presentar. ¿Será porque pagaba yo? ;)




The nail polish collection -there are testers- in the first pic includes dupes for several Chanel polishes, among them the famous Paradoxal, Black Pearl, Pearl Drop and Péridot *see list*. They contain 11 ml and cost 4.95 EUR each. As you've probably gathered from the title, I couldn't just leave the store empty-handed.
Marian had received an SMS from Douglas a couple of days earlier with a promotional discount she forgot to show. Was it because I was paying? ;)

Y esto fue lo que me autorregalé, con más detalle. En primer lugar, el esmalte 'Fireworks 15', clon del famosísimo 'Péridot' de Chanel. Puesto que no tengo el de Chanel no os podré ofrecer una comparativa en toda regla ni sé qué porcentaje de parecido tiene con el original, pero sí os puedo decir que mi anhelo por el Péridot se ve perfectamente satisfecho con esta compra.

And this is what I bought myself, in detail. First meet 'Fireworks 15 ' dupe of the überfamous Péridot from Chanel. As I don't have the Chanel one, I'm afraid I won't be able to offer you a proper comparison between the two and ignore how good a dupe (i.e. % of likeness they have) this is, but I am in a position to tell you that my lemming for Péridot is perfectly fulfilled with this purchase.



Por último, el esmalte 'Sara 07', clon del 'Pearl Drop' también de Chanel. Aún no los he estrenado, pero prometo presentároslos debidamente en cuanto me sea posible.

Definitely we can't get out of home. If we go out, we buy; and what do we buy? Make-up. Even on Sunday.

Seguramente estaréis pensando que los domingos las tiendas están cerradas (bueno, las de los chinos yo creo que no, pero ese es otro tema); pero para eso está el mercadillo: para salir de compras también en domingo.

You'll surely think that stores are closed on Sunday (I think it's not the same with Chinese euro stores, but that's another issue); but that's why street markets do exist: to go shopping also on Sunday.

Así que sin más dilación, voy a enseñaros lo que compramos.

So without further ado, this is what we bought.

Como veis, esta entrada bien podría ser un "haul" de L'Oreal HIP, porque todo lo que compramos es de esa marca.
Buscando y revolviendo entre las cestitas donde la vendedora tenía los productos, se me fueron los ojos a estos que veis.
Lo primero que ví fueron los dúos de sombras. Si no recuerdo mal, sólo tenían estos dos, así que no se iban a quedar en la cesta. Son el 318 "Flashy" y el 208 "Sassy". Vienen perfectamente precintados, pero supongo que los abriré para haceros los "chuaches". Además, tengo ganas de probar en persona cómo pigmentan. Todavía no hemos decidido cuál elegiremos cada una.

As you can see, this post could be a L'Oreal HIP haul, because all the things we purchased are from that brand.
Rummaging through all the beauty products the seller had in the baskets, then I had my eye on these you can see.
The first thing I saw were these eyeshadow duos. If I'm not wrong, these were the only ones in the basket, so they couldn't stay there anymore. They are 318 'Flashy' and 208 'Sassy'. Both are perfectly sealed, but I guess I'll open them to do the swatches. Besides, I'm very eager to try them on to check the pigmentation. We haven't decided yet which one we will choose.

Además, compramos estos labiales líquidos. De izquierda a derecha, 760 "Tainted", 780 "Indestructible", 660 "Euphoric", y de nuevo 760 "Tainted" (porque nos quedaremos uno cada una). De los otros dos, yo me quedaré con el "Indestructible" y marox con el "Euphoric".
No los hemos abierto todavía, pero prometemos "chuaches" (quizá los haga de todo antes de subir esta entrada).

Besides, we bought these liquid lipsticks. From left to right, 760 'Tainted', 780 'Indestructible', 660 'Euphoric', and 760 'Tainted' again (one for each one of us). From the other two, I'll choose 'Indestructible' and 'Euphoric' will be for marox. We haven't opened them yet, but we promise to do the swatches (maybe I'll do them all before uploading this post).

Mi nuevo mp3 - My new mp3 player

El mes pasado, os contaba *aquí* que mi fiel Ipod, había pasado a mejor vida. No sin cierta pena, me puse manos a la obra para buscarle un digno sucesor, así que aunque era domingo, me fui de compras por Ebay, que abre 24/7/365. Tras mucho mirar y comparar, además de pensar en las características que quería que tuviera, me decidí por *éste*.




Last month, I told you *here* that my trusty Ipod had passed away. With some sorrow, I set out to find a befitting replacement and even though it was Sunday, I went shopping on Ebay which opens 24/7/365. After much looking and comparing, as well as giving some thought to the features I wanted my new player to have, *this* was the one I chose.

Como podéis ver, he escogido uno muy similar a mi difunto Ipod Shuffle. El nuevo reproductor es una copia clara del mismo, tal y como podéis ver en estas fotos comparativas.
Aunque de momento no lo he usado mucho, os indico brevemente los pros y los contras que le he visto.



As you can tell from the comparison pics, I chose a player very similar to my late Ipod Shuffle. The new device is certainly a copy of it. Although I haven't used it very much, I'll tell you very briefly the pros and cons that I've found.

PROS:

- Muy pequeño y ligero. Es ideal para llevarlo con nosotros en todo momento.
- A diferencia de otros modelos baratos similares, incluye memoria interna. En concreto, 4 GB.
- Disponible en varios colores (se puede escoger, por defecto es rojo).
- Clavija de auriculares (incluidos) de 3.5mm. Para esta medida, se encuentran auriculares muy fácilmente.
- Cable de datos miniUSB incluído - de una longitud decente, no como el de mi Nokia XPress Music. ;)
- Es muuuy barato. Según el extracto de mi banco, pagué 14,54 $ por él - 12,99$ del reproductor + 1,55$ del envío (al cambio del día, en total 10,79 €). Mi Ipod Shuffle fue un regalo, pero por aquel entonces, el precio era de unos 50€.

PROS:

- Very small and lightweight; it's great for carrying it with you everywhere.
- Unlike other similar cheap models, this has in-built memory. Mine has 4 GB.
- Available in several colours (you can choose, default colour is red).
- Earphones included, 3.5mm jack. 3.5mm jack earphones are readily available.
- USB (mini type) data cable included - decent length, unlike my Nokia XPress Music, ;)
- Veeery cheap device. According to my bank statement, I paid $14,54 for it - 12,99 USD for the player itself + 1,55 USD in shipping (with the exchange rate that day, I paid a total of 10,79 EUR). My Ipod Shuffle was a gift, but price at the time here was around €50.




CONTRAS:

- La reproducción comienza nada más cambiar el selector a 'ON', lo que a lo mejor nos pega un pequeño susto.
- No vienen instrucciones de ningún tipo, por lo que el manejo es un poco 'ensayo/error'
- Los dibujos de 'avance/retroceso' están invertidos. El botón que lógicamente asociaríamos con una función, corresponde a la otra.
- Aunque los auriculares retráctiles incluidos no están mal, me pareció que se oía un poco mejor con los del Ipod, así que los aprovecharé mientras me sigan funcionando.

CONS:

- Music will begin to play right after changing the switch to 'ON', so you may get a small shock.
- No instructions for use whatsoever, so you'll have to practise some 'trial/error'.
- The 'forward/back' drawings/buttons are inverted, and therefore the button you'd expect to do one function performs the other.
- Although the retractable earphones are not bad, I thought the sound quality was better with my old Ipod ones, so I'll use those until they stop working.



Con todo, estoy muy contenta con mi nueva adquisición. Lo pagué el día 20 de noviembre y me llegó el 9 de diciembre, si mal no recuerdo.

All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I made the payment on November 20th and it got here on December 9th, if I'm not mistaken.

Recién llegado desde Tailandia - Just arrived from Thailand.

Hace pocos días, bajamos al buzón para ver si teníamos algo en el correo, cuando nos encontramos a nuestro queridísimo cartero, que traía algo para nosotras (en este caso para marox), así que ya no le hicimos subir. Por una vez...
Hasta la fecha, es el último paquete que hemos recibido, pero en los últimos días hemos pedido un par de cosillas más (lo que quiere decir que le daremos más trabajo a nuestro cartero).

A few days ago, we went down to check our mailbox, when we met our beloved postman, who brought something for us (for marox, to be exact), so we didn't make him go upstairs for a change. So far, this is the latest package we have received, but we've ordered a couple of things more on the last few days (which means that our postman will have more work).

Pues bien, como veis es un desodorante de piedra alumbre. El que hemos estado usando empezaba a moverse peligrosamente dentro del envase, lo que quiere decir que podría caerse y romperse en mil pedazos. Así que antes de que ocurriera esto, decidimos sustituirlo por uno nuevo. Pero el antiguo no lo vamos a tirar. Ya sabéis que nosotras aprovechamos todo.

OK, as you can see it's an alum stone deodorant. The one we've been using started to break loose from its base, which means that it could fall down and break into a thousand pieces. So before this happens, we decided to buy a new one. But we're not throwing the old one away. As you already know, we make use of everything.

Una de las cosas que más nos ha gustado de este desodorante es que tiene una fragancia muy suave; huele como a crema (cosmética). Otra de las cosas que más nos ha gustado es la parte posterior del envase. La "empuñadura", por así decirlo, tiene tacto como de goma, lo que quiere decir que no se va a resbalar de las manos. Además, no es hueca por la parte de atrás, como en el otro, que permitía que entrara el agua o el vapor de la ducha y fuera deshaciendo la piedra, que creo que es lo que ha ocurrido.




One of the things we like the most about this deodorant is its soft fragrance; it smells like cosmetic cream. Another thing we like is the back part of the container. The grip has a rubbery feeling, which means that it won't slid down the hands easily. Besides, the back part is not hollow, like in the other one, so it won't let the water or steam in and melt the stone, as I think it happened.

¡Ahí va! Casi se me olvida lo más importante: dónde lo consiguió marox. Lo compró en eBay a *este* vendedor y le costó 6,26$, con gastos de envío gratis (a día de hoy, serían 4,63€)

Oops! I almost forgot the most important thing: where did marox get it? She ordered it from *this seller* on eBay and cost $6.26 with free shipping (that's €4.63 as of today).

Lector electrónico Sony PRS-T1 / E-book reader Sony PRS-T1

Os presento mi flamante primer lector de libros electrónicos, que espero me dure muchos años. Como ya comenté en las últimas entradas sobre libros, llevaba tiempo dándole vueltas a la idea de hacerme con uno, por aquello de ahorrar espacio en nuestras ya atestadas estanterías.
Tras un par de semanas leyendo opiniones, críticas en páginas especializadas, recorriendo tiendas físicas y demás, el elegido fue el nuevo lector de Sony, el PRS-T1, que salió a la venta en octubre de este año, si no me equivoco.




Meet my brand-new and first e-book reader, which I hope to get many years of service from. As I let slip in previous book reviews, I'd been thinking about getting one of these for a while, namely to save some precious space in our already overflowing shelves. After a couple of weeks of some serious searching, reading online reviews in specialized websites and checking out several of our local stores, the winner was the Sony Reader PRS-T1, which if I'm not mistaken appeared on the market in October this year -that is, last month.

El mío lo compré en Hipercor (grupo El Corte Inglés) y costó -aunque fue un regalo, evidentemente no ha sido una sorpresa- 179€. Tienen en oferta la funda con luz, por lo que finalmente el total fue de 218€. Sin embargo, no disponían de la funda en stock y aunque tuvimos que pagarla por adelantado, todavía no ha llegado.
Por otra parte, Hipercor tenía en el catálogo una oferta por la que acumulas un 10% de las compras para gastar en la primera quincena de diciembre en cualquier sección. Así que disponemos de un vale que nos hará un poco más llevaderas las compras navideñas (a nuestro bolsillo, principalmente).

I'll leave the following link with all the technical details of the reader from the Sony website. We bought mine from Hipercor (part of the El Corte Inglés group) and price was 179 EUR. It was a present but definitely not a surprise and I therefore know how much she had to fork out for it. They had a special deal on the reader + case (the lit one), so the final price was 218 EUR, but they didn't have it in stock, so we had to pay for it in advance and hopefully get it soon. I know this device is probably cheaper online, but I didn't want to risk it and have problems at customs, getting a faulty device and the lot so I decided buying local would be best. Hipercor also had an offer and they gave us a 10% voucher to be spent on any section of the store in the first fortnight of December, so our Christmas shopping list will be a bit easier to manage -our wallets will surely appreciate it.

Ahora mismo me encuentro leyendo mi segundo libro. Quizá le habría dado más caña de tener la funda, pero no me atrevo a usarla apenas en la cama por si me quedo dormida y me cargo la pantalla o algo. Marian de momento ha hecho un pequeño "proyecto costuril" para el "bicho" hasta tenerla.

I'm currently reading my second e-book on it. I'd probably have used this a lot more had I got the case in my possession already, but as it is I'm a bit afraid of getting into bed for a nightime read without it being properly protected. I don't want to fall asleep and wake up to a broken touchscreen or something. Marian has done a small sewing DIY project to store the device until the case comes.





Este lector está disponible en tres colores: negro, frambuesa y blanco. Yo opté por el blanco, ya que las primeras críticas mencionaban que en el negro podía molestar un poco el reflejo de la pantalla en el marco, ya que éste no es mate sino brillante. De momento, no le he quitado el plástico que protege los laterales. Como véis, lo "mimo" mucho, jeje.

The reader is available in three different colours: black, raspberry red and white. I chose it in white, as apparently the first reviewers complained of some disturbing reflection from the screen onto the frame which is not made of a matte material but has a glossy finish to it. I haven't even removed the protective film on the sides yet. You see, I'm taking good care of my baby, lol.

Os dejo con un video "electoral" muy gracioso. No entiendo el gasto inútil en campaña electoral cuando total, en la tele ya te sacarán alguna coplilla - y porque la mayoría de la gente ya tiene claro a quien votar sin campaña de por medio.
