UDLS/NOTW: L'Oréal 'Boudoir Rosé' #204.

Aquí os traigo mi última manicura.
A ver si ahora que llega el verano, me animo a hacerme más, que este invierno he estado muy vaga.

He utilizado el esmalte de L'Oréal "Boudoir Rosé", que compré el verano pasado en Estocolmo, y que todavía tenía pendiente de estrenar.



Estos son los productos que he utilizado.
He rescatado la base de P2, que tenía olvidada, y la verdad es que se conserva muy bien. Después he aplicado una capa de esmalte. Sí, habéis leído bien: una capa (este esmalte cubre de maravilla). Como siempre, he utilizado el top coat de Poshé para terminar.



Esta manicura ha gustado mucho entre mis compañeras de trabajo, que se fijaron lo suficiente para preguntar por él y decirme lo mucho que les gustaba.
Además de tener buena cobertura, la duración también fue muy buena, ya que me duró 5 días.

Today I'm back with a mani. Hopefully now that summertime's come I'll be more in the mood for painting my nails, as I've been incredibly lazy during the winter when it came to that.

I used the L'Oréal polish in 'Boudoir Rosé' that I purchased last summer in Stockholm and that I had yet to share with you properly.



These are the products I used. I unearthed so to speak the P2 base and was thankfully still in good condition. I then applied a coat of this polish. Yes, you read that right: just one, as this polish is incredibly well pigmented. As usual, I used my trusted Poshé on top.

This mani was a hit at work. My colleagues noticed it enough to take the time to ask me about it and compliment it.
Besides the excellent coverage, the wear was great too, as I could sport this mani for 5 days.

UDLS / NOTW: L'Oreal #854 ' Golden Coquillage'

¡Cuánto tiempo sin traeros una manicura!, ¿verdad? Lo cierto es que este curso estoy trabajando por primera vez a jornada completa, así que si de normal ya me costaba sentarme a escribir un rato, pues ahora lo llevo peor.

En fin, que me gustaría enseñaros uno de los esmaltes que me traje de nuestra segunda visita a Estocolmo. Lo compramos rebajado en Åhlens, uno de los más importantes grandes almacenes de la ciudad.

Día 1: Tras aplicar una capa de mi base de confianza, apliqué dos capas finitas de este esmalte. El pincel es anchito, como los de Catrice y reparte el color muy bien. Dejé que secara un par de minutos antes de dar el topcoat, el de la gama BTGN -igual que la base-.

Día 5: Me lo quitaré mañana, porque las uñas de la mano derecha están ya bastante perjudicadas. Eso sí, lo bueno de un tono como éste es que pasan desapercibidas. Creo que a nadie le gusta esa sensación de esmalte descuidado y que encima sea evidente.

Encantada con la duración del esmalte, que aguantó como un campeón que me lavara el pelo, cosa que normalmente suele causar estragos en mis manicuras.

¿Habéis probado alguno de estos nuevos esmaltes de L'Oreal? Si los pilláis a buen precio, no lo dudéis.

It's been a long while since I last shared a mani with you, hasn't it? Here's the thing: this year I'm working full time for the first time and if I struggled before to find the time to write something for the blog, it's even harder now.

Anyway, I'd like to show you one of the polishes I brought home from our second visit to Stockholm. We found it on a clearance plexiglas drawer at Åhlens, one of Stockholm's top department stores.

Day 1: After applying a coat of my trusted basecoat, I did two thin ones of this polish. The brush is wide and reminded me of those from Catrice and does a really good job at evenly spreading the colour. I let the polish dry for a few minutes before adding my topcoat - the Essence BTGN one - from the same line as my base.

Day 5: I'll take it off tomorrow, because the lacquer is quite chipped on my right hand. However, since this is one of those barely-there shades, it's hardly noticeable from a distance. Nobody likes people to notice how badly chipped your nail polish is, right?

I'm overly pleased with this lacquer's staying power, as it came out a winner in my struggle to have manis surviving hairwashes.

Have you tried any of these revamped L'Oreal polishes? If you come across them in a clearance basket like we did, I would certainly get them.

Aquí venimos con una nueva reseña de los productos que hemos terminado últimamente.

Hi girls,
Here we are with a new review of the stuff we've used up lately.

1 - Recambios Oral B: Aprovechamos el final / comienzo de año para cambiar los cabezales de nuestros cepillos, que renovamos cada tres meses.
Como sabéis, compramos estos recambios en el mercadillo local, porque los encontramos a muy buen precio.

2 - Manteca corporal de almendras de TBS: (marox) Es la primera que termino, aunque sí que he probado varias de las que compramos. La verdad es que si digo que me ha encantado es poco. La recomiendo si tenéis la piel seca (atópica incluso) y ponéis por delante la hidratación a los olores golosos. Me huele como a turrón, más o menos. Es muy untuosa, así que yo la aplico con la piel mojada para que cunda más.
Si recordáis, la compré en oferta al 50% en nuestro primer pedido y suele estar agotada, así que si tenéis la suerte de encontrarla (a buen precio) no dudéis en añadirla al carrito.

3 - Ampollas anticaída L'Oreal Professionnel: (marox) Compré estas ampollas junto con el champú para combatir la caída estacional del cabello. El aplicador resulta súper cómodo, a diferencia de otras ampollas que hay que romper para utilizar. Creo que me guardaré un par de ellas y el aplicador para algún invento. A modo de curiosidad, os diré que son del mismo tamaño que las de *Kérastase* Specifique que le regalamos a nuestra madre, así que el aplicador es perfectamente intercambiable.
No sé si repetiré con ellas o pruebe las de Kerastase la próxima vez.
Las compré en una tienda de productos de peluquería y me costaron casi 30 euros, pero las podéis encontrar mucho más baratas por internet.
 

4- Manteca corporal de TBS de arándano azul (Marian).
En cuanto a hidratación, me ha encantado, como todas las que voy probando hasta ahora de TBS.
La textura es más "mantecosa" que la de almendras, por ejemplo, que os ha enseñado Marox más arriba.
Si la aplicáis con la piel algo húmeda, os cundirá más el producto, y os resultará más fácil de extender. De lo contrario, tendrías que coger mucho producto.

5- Exfoliante corporal de arándano azul (Marian).
Lo he estado utilizando una vez por semana.
La exfoliación que realiza es adecuada, pero me gustan más los exfoliantes con el gránulo un poco más grande, así que probablemente no repita con ella.
Cuidado con el aspecto de este exfoliante, porque ¡parece mermelada!. No os vayan a dar ganas de coméroslo.
El olor es genial, y ya combinado con la manteca del mismo aroma, ni os cuento.



6- Crema de manos "Hands Care System" de Stanhome (Marian).
La he estado utilizando en épocas de mucho frío, porque me hidrata mucho las manos, que se me resecan mucho en esta época del año.
Me recuerda mucho a la crema de manos de Neutrogena, que también he probado (hace muchos años).
Aunque todavía le queda producto, hace tantos años que la tengo, que ya huele a rancio, así que creo que llegó el momento de tirarla.

7- Contorno de ojos de Biocura, de venta en supermercados Aldi (Marox). Compré este contorno de ojos hace años para mi madre y no lo ha usado demasiado, así que lo he ido usando yo los fines de semana y en algún viaje.
Ya no se vende éste en concreto, pero sí que recuerdo ver algunos y no son caros. Ya sabéis que somos fans de la cosmética coreana, pero si no os animáis a comprar por Internet, la composición de las cremas de Aldi es bastante natural.

Bueno, esto ha sido todo por el momento, pero ya tenemos "en el horno" nuevos productos terminados.

1 - Oral B Replacement brush heads: New year, new brush heads for our electric brushes. We usually discard the heads every three months.
As you already know, we get these at the local street market, because we always find them at a very good price.

2 - Almond Body Butter from The Body Shop: (marox) It's the first one that I've used up, though I've tried some of the others we bought at the time too. Saying I love this would be kind of an understatement. I strongly recommend it if you have dry skin (or even atopic skin) and moisture is a higher priority for you than gourmand scents. I'd say the scent is reminiscent of nougat to me, kind of. It's quite buttery and goes on like a dream, though I apply it on wet skin to make the most of it.
If you remember, we got this during the TBS sales last year as part of our very first order. We got it 50% off and it is usually sold out, so if you're lucky enough to find it at a reasonable price, don't hesitate and add it to your basket.



3 - L'Oreal Professionnel Anti-Hairloss Ampoules: (marox) I bought these ampoules together with their shampoo to bring my lacklustre hair back to life, as I was struggling with seasonal hairloss. I cannot help but praise the applicator, as it is the most convenient I have tried so far. Much better than those ampoules you have to break off to use. And now it may be interesting to point out that the ampoules are exactly the same size as the *Kérastase* Specifique ones we gave my mum recently. Therefore, their applicators are fully interchangeable.
Don't know if I'll repurchase this or try the Kerastase ones instead next time.
I bought these at a local beauty supplies store and I paid nearly €30, but you can find them cheaper online.

4- TBS Blueberry Body Butter (Marian). As far as moisture goes, I loved this, just like all the other TBS butters I've been trying lately.
The texture feels more 'buttery' than say, the almond one Marox showed above.
If you apply it on damp skin, it will be easier to spread and the tub will last you longer. Otherwise, you'll have to be more heavyhanded with the application.



5- TBS Blueberry Body Scrub (Marian): I've been using this once a week. The exfoliation you get with it is average, as I tend to favour scrubs with bigger beads, so I don't think I'll be buying this again.
On the plus side, this scrub seriously looks like jam! Bear in mind it is not suitable for consumption.
The scent is heavenly and even more so when combined with the body butter in this range.

6- 'Hands Care System' hand cream from Stanhome (Marian).
I've been using it in the cold weather, because it moisturizes my hands very well. My hands get very dry at this time.
It reminds me of the Neutrogena hand cream that I tried (many years ago).
Though there's some product left, I've had this cream for so many years that now it smells funky, so I think it's time to throw it away.



7- Eye contour cream from Biocura, sold at Aldi supermarkets (Marox). I bought this eye cream for my mum several years ago and she didn't use it much, so I've used it at weekends and the odd trip.
It was discontinued long ago, but they do have other eye creams and they're very reasonably priced. You know how much we love Asian skincare, but if you still haven't jumped on the online shopping bandwagon, you may take a look at Aldi for cheap, mostly organic skincare.

Compras varias acumuladas - Sundry haul.

Aquí estamos de nuevo para enseñaros las cositas que hemos comprado últimamente.

En esta ocasión, las compras se pueden separar en dos categorías: cuidado capilar y maquillaje.
No estaba planificado. Simplemente ha surgido así.

Empecemos por los productos de maquillaje.

1 - Máscara de pestañas "I love Extreme" de Essence (Marian).
Podría decir que esta fue una compra de urgencia, casi de última hora, porque se me terminó la máscara de pestañas y me pilló sin repuesto.
Ya la he probado. Separa muy bien las pestañas, y las deja muy negras.
Además, se desmaquilla muy bien, mucho mejor que otras máscaras que he probado.



La compré en Beauty Gloss, y creo recordar que me costó 3,59€ (no sé dónde he puesto el ticket de compra para comprobarlo).

2 - Corrector líquido de Catrice, en el tono "Ivory" (Marian).
Para comprar este producto me dejé aconsejar por la dependienta de Beauty Gloss.
Buscaba un corrector líquido (eso de andar frotando con un corrector en barra en la zona de la ojera no me parece muy buena idea), con buena cobertura y que se extendiese con facilidad.
Pues bien, este corrector de Catrice cumple todo esto. La verdad es que estoy encantada.
Creo que me costó 4,59€.

Ahora vamos con la segunda parte: los productos de peluquería.

3 - Gel activador de rizos "Millennium Touch" de Alcántara (Marox).
No lo ha comprado para ella, sino para nuestra madre, ya que le encanta este producto, y el que tiene ya se está acabando.
Queríamos regalárselo para Navidad, si no se acaba antes el que está usando ahora.
No es fácil encontrar este producto, pues lo tienen en muy pocas peluquerías, así que como Internet es muy bueno para buscar ciertas cosas, decidimos buscarlo ahí.
Lo compró en *stockdepeluqueria* y le costó 13,45 € más gastos de envío (cinco euros).
El formato ha cambiado respecto al bote que conocíamos, esperemos que no lo haya hecho la fórmula. Como véis, compramos dos para aprovechar el envío.



4 - Tratamiento de estilizado para el cabello "Potion 9" de Sebastian (Marian).
Marox lo probó en su momento, y le encantó.
Me dejó probar un poco, y me encantó.
Así que decidí pedirme uno para mí.
Gracias a un video de Vanity Lola ví que en Primor online vendían esta marca. Busqué a ver si tenían este producto y... ¡bingo!
Además lo tenían a muy buen precio.
Me costó 39,95€ el envase de 500 ml.
Aquí, en tiendas de productos de peluquería lo he encontrado por 62€. Como para no aprovechar la oportunidad.
Esta ha sido la primera compra que he hecho a Primor online, y la verdad es que he quedado muy satisfecha.
No sólo porque he encontrado el producto que buscaba a muy buen precio, sino porque el envío ha sido rapidísimo, y además, incluyeron en el paquete un regalito (todo un detalle): un esmalte craquelador en tono rosa precioso.
Desde luego me acordaré de esta tienda para futuras compras potinguiles.

5 - Tratamiento anticaída con aminexil, de L'Oréal (Marox): Para darle un poco de vidilla al pelo en este otoño, me pasé por la tienda de productos de peluquería y por la farmacia a ver qué encontraba. Tras mucho mirar, me decidí por este kit de ampollas con un cómodo aplicador en roll-on y por este champú fortificante. Compré el tamaño grande del champú, ya que salía más a cuenta. En total me costó 45€, aunque en Internet se puede encontrar más barato. Lo tendré en cuenta si repito con él.
Las ampollas vienen en un tarrito de cristal con tapa de plástico, que quitamos para colocar el aplicador. Si no gastamos toda la ampolla de una vez, la volvemos a tapar. El champú tiene un olor como a medicamento. Tras varios usos de los dos productos, noto el pelo más fuerte y parece que se cae menos, así que de momento, contenta.

Estas han sido todas nuestras compritas hasta el momento.

Here we are again to show you our latest cosmetic purchases.

This time we could have sorted what we got into two different categories: hair care and make-up.
Not that we planned it or anything. It just happened like that, we swear.

Let's begin with make-up related items.

1 - 'I love Extreme' mascara from Essence (Marian).
I could say that this was a 'last minute' purchase, because believe it or not I had run out of mascara and I had none for backup.
I've already tried it. It separates lashes very well, and it leaves them really black.
Besides, it can be easily removed, much better than other mascaras that I've tried.

I bought it at Beauty Gloss (a local store), and I think I paid €3.59 for it (I can't find the receipt to check the price).

2 - Liquid concealer from Catrice, in the shade 'Ivory' (Marian).
I followed the advice from the shop assistant when I bought this product.
I was looking for a liquid concealer (I think rubbing the under eye area with a concealer in a stick is not a very good idea), with good coverage and that was easy to apply.
Well, this concealer from Catrice definitely ticks all those boxes. I'm truly delighted.
I think it was €4.59.



Let's move on to the second part: the hair care products.

3 - 'Millennium Touch' curl activating gel from Alcántara (Marox).
She didn't buy these for herself, but for our mother. She snatched the one Marox had bought and loves it so much she's running out of the one she's using now.
We would like to give it to her for Christmas, if she doesn't use hers up before.
It's not easy to find this product, because it is sold in few salons, so since Internet is a good place to find certain stuff, we decided to search for it there.
She bought it at a Spanish online beauty supplies stores and paid € 13,45 for each plus shipping.
It comes in a different bottle than the ones we've always used. As you can see we ordered two, to make the most of the shipping costs.

4 - Styling treatment for hair 'Potion 9' from Sebastian (Marian).
Marox tried it once and loved it.
She let me try it, and I loved it.
So, I decided to order one for myself.
Thanks to a You Tube video from Vanity Lola, I saw that I could find this brand at Primor online store. I searched for this product and... Jackpot!
Besides, it was very reasonably priced there, as I paid €39.95 for the 500 ml bottle.
I had seen it at the local beauty supplies store at a whopping €62. I'd be crazy if I didn't jump at the opportunity.

This was my first purchase at Primor online store and I'm very pleased with it, not just because I found what I was looking for at a really good price, but because the shipping was really fast.
Besides, I got a gift from the store (how kind!): a crackling nail polish in a beautiful pink shade.

I'll keep this store in mind for future make-up purchases.



5 - Hair loss treatment with aminexil, from L'Oréal (Marox): In order to bring some life back to my mane this autumn, I went to a local beauty supply store and a chemist's to check out the different products they had. After some debate I ended up getting these ampoules that come with a very convenient roll-on applicator and the fortifying shampoo from the same range. I got the largest shampoo size, as it was a better deal. I think I paid a total of 45€, though I know I could have bought this cheaper had I searched online. I'll keep this in mind if I buy it again.
The ampoules come in a glass bottle with a plastic cap that we open in order to use the applicator. If we don't use the whole ampoule, we can close it again with the plastic cap. The shampoo smells somewhat medicinal to me. After several uses, I'd say my hair looks stronger and hair fall seems to have reduced. So far, I'm pleased with these.


Well, this have been all our purchases so far.

UDLS / NOTW: LÓréal 'Luxembourg Garden'.

Aquí estoy de nuevo para enseñaros la última manicura que me he hecho hasta el momento.

Se trata del esmalte "Luxembourg Garden" de L'Oréal, que compré en nuestro reciente viaje a Estocolmo.

Aquí tenéis a los tres protagonistas de esta manicura.
En primer lugar, apliqué la base de calcio de Basic. Una vez seca, apliqué dos capas finas de este esmalte, en tonos verdes y azulados, y de acabado metalizado.
Para terminar, el top coat de Poshé, que sabéis que me encanta.

La duración de esta manicura no ha podido ser mejor: ha durado una semana en perfecto estado. Me la he quitado por aburrimiento, jeje.
Entre mi amplia colección de esmaltes, no tenía ninguno de L'Oréal, y la verdad es que estoy muy satisfecha del resultado.

Here I am again to show you my latest mani so far.

I used the polish 'Luxembourg Garden' from L'Oréal, which I bought on our recent trip to Stockholm.

Here you can see the main stars of the show.
First of all, I applied the calcium gel from Basic. Once dry, I applied two thin coats of this polish, in green and blue shades, with a metallic finish.
And finally I applied the Poshé top coat to finish.

Lasting time of this mani couldn't be better: it lasted a whole week in perfect conditions. I removed it out of boredom, lol.



I didn't have any polish from L'Oréal within my huge collection, and I must say that I'm very impressed with the results.
