Productos terminados #60 - 'Finito' products #60.

Hola, chicas:

Hi girls,

Here we are again to make a review of the stuff we've used up recently.

1. Face cream from Abuelita Ceiba (Marian).
It's not completely finished really, as you can see in the pic, but it had gone bad (it smelled rancid), so I threw it away.
It contained 106 ml, which I think it's too much for a face cream, considering the fact that it's made with natural products, so its expiry date is shorter than others you can buy.
I won't be repurchasing it for that reason.
Despite that fact, it's the best face cream I've ever tried.

2. Marine algae enzyme peeling from Ziaja (Marian).
This is completely finished.
It's so creamy that I'm not sure the peeling effect is that noticeable.
However, after rinsing with water, my skin felt a bit greasy at the beginning.
I didn't care for it much.

3. Automatic eye pencil from Flormar, in black (Marian).
Needless to say, it has been a very good replacement for my beloved automatic eye pencil from P2.
It's very creamy and its pigmentation is great. It's perfect for the waterline.
I could buy it again in the future, though now I'm using one from another brand, which I  also like very much.

4. Coconut body scrub, from The Body Shop (Marian).
The exfoliation it provides is not as effective as others I've tried.
What I did notice when using it was a warming effect on my skin. Will it be maybe due to any of the ingredients?
I don't like it much, really. The truth is none of us have been terribly impressed by TBS body scrubs.

5. Fructis Hair mask from Garnier (Marox).
Marian has also tried it and she likes it. These products take some time to use up as a little goes a long way. It leaves hair soft and shiny.

Well, this is all by now.
See you in another post.

UDLS/NOTW: Flormar #423+Isadora #862 'Shantung'.

Hola, chicas:

Hi girls,

Here I am with a new mani.

Springtime began some days ago. So I decided to make a mani with a vibrant base color.
You had already seen this polish from Flormar 'in action', but as I don't have any new polishes to show you, I decided to make combinations with the polishes I already have.

Meet the main stars of this mani.

I applied a layer of the base coat from P2.
After that, two thin layers of the polish from Flormar, and I let it dry.
Then I applied a coat of the polish from Isadora, which gives the mani a festive touch.
Finally, I applied my Poshé topcoat.

I must say that this mani was a hit.
And it lasted quite long as well.

How do you give a different touch to your manis?
Tell us on the comments section below.

Productos terminados #51 - 'Finito' products #51.

Hola, chicas:

Hi, ladies,

Here we are again, ready to share with you our thoughts on the products we've used up lately.

1 - Quick-absorbing face sunscreen 50+ SPF, Solcare (Mercadona supermarkets - Marian):
I used it this summer, either on its own or underneath my makeup. I bought it the year before -or so I believe- and although there was still some left, the texture had changed and wasn't safe to use.

2 - Flormar BB Mousse (Marian): I purchased this a little over a year ago and I'd been using it daily as my everyday makeup. At first, the colour looked right but over time, it turned dark with an orange tint to it (oxidizing?).
Anyway, I used it up all the same. In order to tone the color down a bit, I used Art Deco's primer, which is completely white. I wouldn't repurchase.

3 - Holika Holika Honey Sleeping pack (Marox)
I'm on a secret mission to try and use the many samples that come either in magazines or with Korean skincare orders. It would be a pity to throw them away unused, wouldn't it?
I liked this sleeping pack, as it didn't seem too oily or sticky. But I have another one on my wishlist, once I've finished the one I'm using at the moment.
Anyway, you know it's hard to decide whether you like a product enough to make a purchase with a single sachet. My mum is of the opinion that the quality of samples is far better than the product you get when you buy a full-sized version. And in my experience, it turned out to be true a couple of times.

4- Eyelashes serum from Etude House (Marox). A quick look at the photo will be enough to discover why I'm throwing this away. I'm afraid I'm not consistent using certain products: use them a lot at first and then forget about them.

5- Deodorant from Tom's (Marian).
I used it up during our stay in London.
In fact, the pic was taken in our hotel room.
I like it very much, as it provides suitable protection.
Other deodorants without aluminium chlorhydrate 'leave me in the lurch', specially during those days of the month, you see.
I wouldn't mind repurchasing it.

Well, this is all for now.
Have you tried any of these products?
If so, tell us on the comments section below
(and if not, tell us too).
See you!

UDLS/NOTW: Flormar #423.

Hola, chicas:

Hi girls,

Here I am again to show you my latest mani so far.

I've used the polish #423 from Flormar, in a light blue shade, very beautiful. I bought it last summer and I wanted to use it for the first time, but I've been a bit lazy about manis.

As usual, here you can see the three main stars of this mani.

First I used the calcium gel from Basic, then two thin coats of this polish, and the top coat coat from Poshé to finish.

It's been in perfect conditions for 8 days. After small chippings in two fingers of my right hand, I decided to remove it.

Now it's time to think of what polish I'll be using for my next mani. I still have some unused.

Well, this is all for now.
See you soon!

Compras varias acumuladas - Sundry haul.

Hola, chicas:

Me costó 8,95€.

Me costó 2,95€.

Hi, ladies,

So it's time to share with you a few goodies we bought recently. Hope you like them.

1 - Essence 3in1 nail magnets. (Marox) Though it's been a while since I last played around with magnetic polishes in my manis -lack of time, basically-, it was in the clearance basket, thus making me less guilty for buying it.

2- Pillbox and pill-cutter combo (Marian).
We found it at Bodybell in the clearance basket.
I don't remember what I paid for it, but it was super cheap.
As it's very lightweight and slim, it's perfect for travelling.
We bought two: one for me, and the other one for our mother, who will find it very useful for sure.

3- 'Flamingo Rose' nail polish from Essence's Show Your Feet range (Marox).
She also bought it at Bodybell. As with everything we bought there that day, it was in the clearance basket.
Although it's from the Show Your Feet range, she doesn't rule out using it for a mani, because it's a gorgeous shade all the same.

Together with our purchase, we were given this small plastic bag with zipper as a freebie. It's perfect to carry it to the beach or the swimming-pool, for example.

And now it's time to show you what we bought on our first visit to Flormar.
I think we have beaten our purchases-in-one-day record, as our Bodybell purchases were made on the same day as well.

Marox had walked into that store once, but she didn't buy anything. This was the first visit for Marian.

4- Triple action mascara.
We bought one for each.
We liked the fact that the brush can be set into three different positions, but it's quite hard to explain, so we can take some pics if you want.
The problem is that as we still have other mascaras in use, we don't want to open it and let it expire. But we promise to show it to you when we do use it.
We paid €6.50 for each one.

5- 'Style matic' automatic eye pencil in black (Marian).
I tried the tester at the store, and I liked it so much that I decided to get one, as it's very creamy, is very pigmented and seems to be a perfect replacement when I use up the one from P2 - which I love, as you know - mainly for its pigmentation in the waterline.
I paid €7.95 for it.

6- BB spray mousse foundation, in the shade 'Light Beige' (Marian).
The thing that caught my attention the most was its texture, obviously.
The salesperson tried it on me, and it had a very natural finish. It gives a tan effect, perfect for summer, but with no mask effect, or at least that was the impression while in the store.
I've been using it since I bought it and I love it.
It was €8.95.

7- Nail polish in the shade 423 (Marian).
I didn't have any light blue polish shades, so I decided to get one.
I intend to use it for my next mani. Yes, one of those 'I have to, I have to's'... of mine, lol.
It was €2.95.

8- 'Invisible pores' pore minimizer (Marian).
The packaging strongly reminds me of those from Benefit. What do you think?
As you can see, one of the first ingredients are silicones and you can notice that effect on your face, so I guess it's not a product suitable for everyday use, but more like for a special occasion instead.
However, I liked it so much when I tried the tester, that my beloved sister wanted to give it to me. Isn't she cute?
It was €7.95.

This is what we bought in our morning shopping spree.
Do you like our purchases?
Tell us on the comments section below.
Lots of kisses and see you around soon!
