Manicura en gel 'Nude' - Gel mani

Ya os enseñé en un post de compras este esmalte en el tono 'Nude' de *Primaprix*.
Apliqué una capa de base en gel, también del Primaprix. Después una capa de este esmalte, en todas las uñas, menos en una, en la que usé un esmalte normal de Essence. Aunque suelen recomendar dar más de una capa (finitas), la cobertura me pareció suficiente.
Me sorprendió gratamente que el esmalte tiene pequeños brillos.
Para rematar, apliqué una capa del esmalte de acabado de Revlon, que compré también allí.
Sequé todas las capas en la lámpara. Al principio el topcoat parecía que perdía brillo, pero al rato ya se veía igual. El topcoat me costó muy barato también, 1.99€, creo recordar.


Me las pinté el 2 de octubre y me las quité el 14. Las uñas de la mano derecha estaban peor que las de la izquierda y no la quise apurar más. Obviamente, las uñas que peor estaban eran las dos del esmalte de Essence. Las de la mano izquierda todavía se veían bien.
Las retiré con un algodón con acetona pura y papel albal tapándola un minuto. Tuve que frotar y raspar un poco. Nada grave.
Lo hice mientras veía la tele, ante la atenta mirada de Molly, que está pasando unos días conmigo.

I did show this 'Nude' gel polish I got at Primaprix, a local discount supermarket in a recent Haul.
I applied a coat of gel basecoat, also from Primaprix and then one of this shade. The instructions recommend using two thin coats, but I was satisfied with the opacity one gave me. On the accent nails I applied one coat of a regular Essence polish.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the glass flecks this gel had.
I finally gave my nails a coat of this Revlon topcoat, also from that store. I cured all coats in a UV LED lamp. At first the topcoat seemed a bit murky, but later turned out just fine. I believe the topcoat was very affordable too, €1.99.

I painted my nails on October 2nd and removed it on 14th. The nails on my right hand were in a much worse state than those on the left, but I didn't want to stretch the mani any longer. Needless to say, the nails that looked more chipped were those with the regular Essence polish.
I removed this with a cotton pad soaked in pure acetone and using the foil method for about a minute or two. I had to rub and scrape off what was left on my nails a bit. Nothing serious.
I did this while watching TV and under Molly the Cat's watchful eye. She's spending a few days with her auntie.

 
Have you ever tried gel polishes? They're great if you want to forget about your nails for a few days. 
And if they're as affordable as these, so much the better.

¿Habéis usado alguna vez este tipo de esmaltes permanentes? La verdad es que para despreocuparnos de nuestras uñas durante unos cuantos días, están muy bien.
Y si tienen un precio económico, pues mucho mejor.

Productos terminados #48 - 'Finito' products #48.

Aquí estamos de nuevo para enseñaros los productos que hemos terminado últimamente.

1 - Contorno de ojos de Scinic (marox): Compré este contorno de ojos en Ebay, tras haber usado otro de la misma marca. Éste tiene más propiedades antiarrugas, por lo que se adaptaba mejor a mis necesidades. Contiene 30 ml, el doble de los occidental y el ingrediente principal es la baba de caracol. Aparte de para los ojos, lo he usado en algunas ocasiones para hidratar la piel irritada de alrededor de la nariz durante un catarro y ha funcionado estupendamente.
Aunque hay un montón de marcas y productos que quizá merecería la pena probar, no tenía ganas de arriesgarme -ni tiempo de leer reseñas para no ir a ciegas-, así que he repetido con él.
Por unos 10€, va estupendo.
Veo que han sacado uno de ginseng rojo también.

2 - Bandas depilatorias faciales Lidl (Marian):
Tanto Marox como yo las hemos probado, y la verdad es que funcionan muy bien.
Siempre solemos usar tanto éstas, de Lidl, como las de Dia o Mercadona, y cualquiera de las tres da buen resultado.

3 - Mascarilla facial "Un millón de años" de Bubbly (Marian).
Está especialmente indicada para piel grasa. Deja la piel sin brillos, pero no la reseca ni la irrita. La verdad es que está muy bien.
Aunque me gusta mucho, le voy a dar un descanso. Ahora estoy utilizando otra, que ya os enseñaré.

4 - Reproductor mp3 tipo Ipod shuffle (marox): Compré esta imitación para sustituir al iPod shuffle que me regaló una alumna y por desgracia un buen día dejó de funcionar. -Descanse en Paz- Como véis, a diferencia del que he comprado para sustituirlo, éste tenía memoria interna. No tiene función shuffle y las canciones se van reproduciendo en el orden que las hemos metido, si mal no recuerdo. Con unos buenos cascos, es ideal para escuchar música mientras hacemos deporte -o las tareas domésticas, como es mi caso-.

5- Activador de rizos de Revlon (marox): Compré este producto hace una eternidad en una tienda de productos de peluquería, en una época en la que me resultó imposible hacerme con el de la marca salmantina Alcántara, que mi madre especialmente idolatra.
No me ha parecido nada del otro jueves, la verdad. No recuerdo lo que costó, y sinceramente ni sé si lo siguen fabricando.

Here we are, ready to share with you our latest Empties.

1 - Matrix Snail Eye Cream from Scinic (marox): I bought this eye cream from Ebay, after having used another from this brand. This range has more antiaging properties and was therefore better suited for my needs and age. It contains 30ml, twice the amount usually found in its western counterparts. The key ingredient is snail secretion filtrate or snail mucus. Besides in the eye area, I've occasionally used this around my peeling nose during a cold and it worked beautifully as well.
Although there are countless Korean brands and products out there worth checking out, I played it safe and repurchased this. I honestly didn't have the energy -or time- to do the research and read reviews and didn't want to go blind either.
For a mere €10, this does the job and it does it well.
I see they now have a Red ginseng snail eye cream too.

2 - Wax Face Strips from Lidl (Marian):
Both Marox and I have used them, and they work really well.
We always use either these ones or those from Dia or Mercadona, and you can get good results from all of them.



3 - 'A million years' face mask from Bubbly/Bodyline (Marian).
It's specially indicated for oily skin.
It reduces shiny skin, but it doesn't makes the skin feel too dry or irritated. It's really good.
Although I like it very much, I'm not replacing it by now. Now I'm using another one instead, which I'll show you soon.

4 - iPod Shuffle knock-off (marox): I'd bought this player back in the day to replace my original iPod Shuffle that I'd got from a student. Unfortunately one day it refused to work. RIP.
As you can see, unlike the one I recently bought to replace it, this had an in-built memory.
It doesn't really have shuffle capabilities, as songs are played in the order you added them in the first place, if I remember correctly.
With a decent pair of headphones, these are great to listen to music on the go while doing sport or -as was my case- housework.



5 - Curl enhancer from Revlon (Marox).
I bought this one a lifetime ago in a hairdresser supply store, in a time I couldn't find the one from Alcantara (which my mother specially loves) anywhere.
It's neither good nor bad. I don't remember how much I paid for it, and I don't know if it's still on the market.

Compras varias acumuladas / Sundry Haul

Aqui estamos una vez más para enseñaros los productos que hemos comprado últimamente.

1 - Perfume equivalencia Saphir 'New Romantica ' (marox): Compré esta imitación de 'Anaïs Anaïs' en una cadena de perfumerías local, Perfumerías Avenida. La he gastado ya bastantes veces, así que digamos que es una apuesta segura.

2 - Máscara de pestañas con fibras "Maximum Length", de Essence (marox): Suelo aprovechar las discontinuaciones de la marca para hacerme con algún repuesto. Me llamó la atención que ésta tuviera fibra, igual que la máscara base de Missha que os enseñé hace poco. Tardaré un tiempo aún en probarla, puesto que tengo otra pendiente de estrenar.

3 - Desmaquillante para ojos bifásico de Garnier Skin Naturals (marox):  Aunque ya sabéis que hacemos nuestro propio desmaquillante casero, a veces apetece probar los nuevos productos que salen al mercado. Además, del casero conviene no hacer demasiada cantidad por aquello de que no contiene conservantes.
No llevo mucho tiempo utilizando, pero lo suficiente para entender porqué hablan tan bien de él: está bien de precio, es efectivo, no escuecen los ojos... Precio: 3,04€ en Alcampo.

4- Agua micelar de Garnier "Skin Naturals" (Marian):
Animada por las buenas críticas que por lo que me ha dicho Marox tiene este producto, me decidí a comprarlo. Aún me queda de la que estoy usando de Ziaja, pero no quiero quedarme sin nada, así que tengo ésta para repuesto.
Todavía no la he probado, así que ya os contaré.
Compré el bote de 400 ml a un precio de 6,99€.

5- Body spray "Nectar of Nature" de cerezas rojas (Marian).
Como sabéis, me encantan este tipo de productos para perfumar suavemente la piel después de la ducha.
Este aroma no lo había probado, y la verdad es que huele muy bien, entre dulce y afrutado.
Creo que no conservo el ticket de compra, así que no puedo deciros cuánto me costó, pero fue poco.



6- Champú fortificante con keratina, de Revlon (Marian).
Me gusta tener este tipo de champús, en bote grande, para usar como primer champú. No sé vosotras, pero yo necesito 2 lavados para tener el pelo limpio. El primero de ellos lo suelo hacer con un champú de este tipo.
El segundo, con mi adorado "Gran Suave" de Bubbly, del que ya os he hablado en muchas ocasiones.
Compré el bote de 650 ml y me costó 3,75€.

7- Top coat "Special Effect" de Essence (Marian).
Era uno de los que liquidaban, y no me pude resistir.
Me parece precioso para usar encima de un esmalte de color claro. Todavía no lo he usado. Ni que decir tiene que os lo enseñaré en acción.
Su precio era de 2,49€, pero lo compré por 1,29€.



8- Esmalte "Lilactric" de Catrice (Marian).
Era uno de los que liquidaban, y tampoco me pude resistir.
Ahora que pienso, quizá podría utilizarlo como base para el anterior.
Es un esmalte en color lila claro, con pequeños reflejos dorados.
Me costó 1,99€.

Nada más por el momento.

Here we are again, to show you what we've bought recently.

1 - Saphir imitation fragrance 'New Romantica' (marox): I bought this Anaïs Anaïs knock-off  at a local drugstore chain. I've tried this fragrance several times over the years, so this was a safe bet for me.

2 - 'Maximum length' Fiber mascara from Essence, (marox): I generally jump at the chance to get backups of basic products during the Essence clearance sales. I noticed this had fibers in it, just like the Missha mascara base I bought recently. It'll take me a while to use this one though, as I still have another one awaiting its turn to be opened.



3 -  Garnier Skin Naturals 2-in-1 Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover (marox): You know that we make our own remover, but every now and then you feel like trying brand-new products out there. Besides, when making your own remover you should try to make a small amount each time as it contains no preserving agents. I've been using this one for a short time, but it was enough to understand why people rave about it: it's affordable, does the job well and your eyes don't sting when using it. Price: €3.04 at Alcampo.

4- 'Skin Naturals' micellar water from Garnier (Marian):
I decided to buy this product, because Marox told me about its favorable reviews. 
I'm still using the Ziaja one, but I don't want to be run out of it, so I have this one for backup.
I haven't used it yet, so I'll tell you when I do.
I bought the 400 ml size, for €6.99.



5- Red cherries 'Nectar of Nature' body spray (Marian):
You already know that I love this kind of products to leave a nice and soft scent on my skin after shower.
I haven't tried this scent yet, and I must say that it has a nice scent, between sweet and fruity.
I think I don't keep the ticket, so I can't tell you the price, but it was cheap.

6- Fortifying shampoo with keratin, from Revlon (Marian).
I like having this kind of shampoo, in a big bottle, to use it in a first hair wash.
I don't know about you, but I do need to wash my hair twice to leave it clean.
I use this for the first wash and then for the second one, I use my beloved 'Big softy' from Bubbly, which I've told you about so many times.
I bought the 650 ml bottle for €3.75.



7- 'Special Effect' top coat from Essence (Marian).
It was one of those clearance items and I couldn't help buying it.
I think it's beautiful to use over a light nailpolish. I haven't used it yet. Needless to say, I will show it to you 'in action'.
Its price was €2.49, but I paid €1.29 for it.

8- 'Lilactric' nailpolish from Catrice (Marian).
It was also on clearance, and one more time I couldn't help buying it.
I'm thinking that maybe I could use it as a base for the one I told you about on the previous paragraph.
It's a polish in a light lilac shade, with tiny golden reflections.
It was €1.99.
