Compras varias / Sundry Haul

Hola, chicas:

Aquí venimos de nuevo a enseñaros nuestras últimas compras.

1 - Máscara de pestañas 'V for Volume' en tono marrón de Sephora (marox):  La compré a ciegas para jubilar anticipadamente una de Deliplus que queda a pegotones. Lo cierto es que luego en Internet vi que tenía muy buenas opiniones. De momento me va bien. Aunque tiene el pincel grandote, me apaño bien. Deja las pestañas definidas y sin grumos.
Me costó 7.95€ y quizá con alguna promoción o en rebajas se encuentre más barata.

2 - Esmalte rojo Rimmel, tono #045 Flamenco Beach. Otro hallazgo del mercadillo. Se rompió el bote en casa, al sacarlo de la bolsa (nada grave). Creo que costó 3€.

3 - Compras en Sephora (Precios Locos): Picamos con dos de los Christmas Crackers que estaban rebajados. Por un lado, el de Skin Food, que contiene tres productos de cuidado facial. Nos los hemos repartido: Marian se ha quedado co el exfoliante de azúcar moreno y yo con los otros dos.
También se vino con nosotros otro de Too Faced que incluye una minitalla de la famosa prebase 'Shadow Insurance', otra de un labial líquido en el tono 'Fig', una minimáscara de pestañas 'Better than Sex' y un pin. Las minitallas traen aproximadamente la mitad de producto que el tamaño normal. Me ha dado la máscara de pestañas a mí. De momento sólo ha probado el labial.

El cracker de Skinfood costó 10€ y el de Too Faced 15€, así que creo que ha merecido mucho la pena comprarlo en rebajas.

4 - Revista Glamour Abril: Aunque tengo varias máscaras de pestañas pendientes de estrenar, como es un producto que conviene renovar regularmente, no me importa.
Como podéis ver, el regalo era en colaboración con Yves Rocher: o bien una máscara de pestañas (creo que había dos variedades diferentes) o dos esmaltes de uñas.
Elegí la máscara de pestañas.

5 - Revista Elle Abril: Traía un montón de suplementos y unos leggins moldeadores de NIVEA, que dependiendo de la tienda, tienen un precio de unos 20 euros. Es el tipo de producto que te provoca curiosidad, pero por el que no pagaríamos gran cosa. Es la talla L/XL, pero queda bastante apretadita.

La Woman trae espumas de Rituals, pero no había llegado aún. Me temo que caerá también.



Y así ha sido, como podéis ver. A mi kiosko habitual llegaron dos variedades de espuma, la roja y la verde. Compré la roja, que coincide que es la misma que estoy usando ahora, sólo que tiene un nombre diferente.

Here we are again to show you our latest purchases.

1 - 'V for Volume' mascara from Sephora in Brown (marox): This was a blind buy in an attempt to find a decent brown mascara that wouldn't break the bank, namely to replace a crappy Deliplus mascara that leaves my lashes all clumpy. I later googled this and discovered this had people raving. So far, it's working just as well for me. It does have one of those thick wands but I manage just fine. My lashes are well defined and with no clumps, thank God. 
I paid €7.95 for this and I guess you could get it for less during their sales or with some promo.

2 -  Rimmel nail polish in #045 Flamenco Beach: Another street market find. The bottle chipped here at home, when we got it out of the bag (nothing serious). It was €3, I believe.

3 - Sephora sales Haul: We did some damage and brought home two of their Christmas Crackers  that were on clearance. The Skinfood one contains three face products that we've shared like good sisters do: Marian got the black sugar scrub and I kept the other two.
Marian got the Two Faced cracker that comes with a mini size of their renowned Shadow Insurance primer, a liquid lipstick in the shade 'Fig', a mini size of their famous 'Better than Sex' mascara and a pin. The mini sizes are about half the size of the full sized product. She gave me the mascara. So far, she's only tried the lipstick and that was a hit.
The Skinfood cracker was €10 and the Too Faced one was €15, so I think we scored some great deals at their Sales.





4 - April Issue, Glamour magazine:
Even though I still have some mascaras waiting to be used, I don't mind getting another one, as it's that kind of stuff that has to be renewed often.
As you can see, the gift with this issue is a collaboration with Yves Rocher: either a mascara (I think there were two different ones) or two nail polishes.
I chose the mascara.

5- April issue, Elle magazine:
This time it includes a ton of special supplements and a pair of shaping leggings from Nivea, which depending on the store, cost about €20.
It's the kind of stuff one is curious about but not to the point to pay full retail price.
They're a size L/XL, but they are a bit on the tight side.



This month's issue of Woman Magazine is a collab with Rituals and there will be three different foam gels to choose from, but they weren't in yet, so I'll have to go back for those.

By the time I got my hands on them, my go-to kiosk only had two foams to choose from, the green one (Dao) and the cherry-red one (Ayurveda) which is the one I got. I happen to be using the same product right now, although mine has a different name and this is the new version.

Después de ver *este* video me quedé absolutamente fascinada por el look que hizo María, de makeupzone.net, y decidí recrearlo a mi manera, a ver qué salía.
Y la verdad es que quedé contenta con el resultado. ¿Qué os parece?

Y ahora os enseño (y os cuento) todo lo que he utilizado.

ROSTRO:

*BB cream Luminous Silk de Holika Holika en el tono Light Beige.
*Mineralize Satin Finish de MAC en el tono NW25.
*Corrector acción global, de Deliplus, en el tono 02.
*Dúo bronceador/iluminador de Benefit, "Be a perfect 10".
*Colorete de Alverde en el tono "Flamingo".

OJOS:

*Prebase para sombras de RivaldeLoop Young.
*Paleta de Cargo "Tahití". Utilicé los dos tonos de abajo en el párpado móvil.
*Sombra "Label Whore" de Too Faced. La utilicé para la cuenca.
*Sombra en tono piel para iluminar el arco de la ceja, de la paleta Undressed de MUA (no sale en la foto, porque se me olvidó).
*Sombra de ojos en crema de Essence, de la edición limitada "Snow Jam", en color turquesa. La utilicé para delinear la línea de agua inferior.
*Delineador líquido de P2, en color negro.
*Máscara de pestañas "Multi action smokey eyes" de Essence.

LABIOS.

*Labial líquido de P2, en el tono "Romy Schneider".

Y este ha sido el look. Espero que os haya gustado (o por lo menos, que no os haya horrorizado, jeje).

After watching *this* video, I was completely blown away by the makeup lookcreated by María, from makeupzone.net, and I decided to recreate it my own way and see how it turned out.
The truth is that I was quite pleased with the outcome. What do you think?

*Eyeshadow sorbet from the LE 'Snow Jam' from Essence, in a teal shade. I used it to line my lower lashline.
*Liquid eyeliner from P2, in a black shade.
*'Multi action smokey eyes' mascara from Essence.



LIPS:

*Liquid lipstick from P2, in the shade 'Romy Schneider'.

Look en verdes "Lucky Charms" - Look in greens 'Lucky Charms'

Hola, chicas:
En un alarde de atrevimiento os voy a enseñar un look que me hice hace unos días para salir.

Se llama Lucky Charms porque éste es el nombre del dúo de sombras protagonista de este look. Os lo enseñamos *aquí*.

Bueno, sin más, os enseño las fotos y los productos que he utilizado.

Ahora os explico los productos que he utilizado, aunque algunos no podáis verlos "en acción".

Para el rostro:
*BB cream "Luminous Silk" de Holika Holika, en el tono Light Beige.
*Mineralize Satinfinish de MAC, en el tono NW25.
*Corrector Acción global de Deliplus, en el tono 02.
*Colorete de Sleek, en el tono "Sunrise".
*Dúo bronceador/iluminador de Benefit "Be a perfect 10".

Para los ojos:
*Como base para las sombras, el jumbo de Deliplus en el tono verde menta.
*Dúo de sombras "Lucky Charms" de Too Faced, en el párpado móvil.
*Sombra nº12 de Deliplus (las antiguas), para marcar la cuenca.
*Sombra "Blockbuster" de Essence, para iluminar el arco de la ceja.
*Sombra 114 de KIKO, en la uve externa, y en la línea inferior de pestañas.

I've named it 'Lucky Charms', as this is the name of the eyeshadow duo I used for this look. We showed it to you *here*.

Well, without further ado, let's see the pics and the list of stuff that I used.

For the face:

Compras en los "Precios Locos" de Sephora - Haul at the Sephora 'Crazy Prices' sales

Al igual que muchas de vosotras, también hemos aprovechado las ofertas de los "Precios Locos".

Esta vez eran locos, locos de verdad, precios de ganga.

Como una imagen vale más que mil palabras, aquí tenéis todo lo que compramos con sus respectivos precios.

Just like many of you, we've also made the most of the offers Sephora had at the 'Crazy Prices' sales. And this time, the discounts were crazy indeed, real bargains.
We'll do the pictures do the talking, so here is what we got and the prices.

Compramos el kit "Natural Eyes" de Make Up Forever, al escandaloso precio de 20€.

Contiene dos aqua cream, en tamaño normal (en los tonos 13 y 15), y dos lápices de ojos en tamaño mini.

Teniendo en cuenta que sólo cada aqua cream cuesta más de 20€, creo que la compra merece la pena. La nº15 es especialmente bonita.

We bought the 'Natural Eyes' kit from Make Up Forever, for a mere 20€. It contains two full size aqua creams (shades 13 and 15) and two mini eye pencils.
Considering aqua creams retail for more than 20€ each, this one was definitely a keeper. Shade 15 is particularly pretty.

Compramos además dos sombras dúo de Too Faced, al precio que veis, que es algo menos de la tercera parte de lo que cuestan normalmente, así que esta compra también ha sido una ganga. Por lo visto las han retirado, ya que en el mueble actual de la marca no hay ningún dúo de sombras, así que si le tenías echado el ojo a alguno, espero que hayáis aprovechado.


We bought two eyeshadow duos from Too Faced as well, 5 EUR each, which is like a third of their usual price, so another bargain here. Apparently these are discontinued, because the current counter had no eyeshadow duos, so if you had any of these in your WL, I hope you got it.

Ahora toca repartir estas compritas como buenas hermanas. De los dúos de sombras, Marian ha elegido el "Lucky Charms" y marox el "Lovey Dovey". El problema viene en cómo repartiremos el kit de MUFE. ¿Un aqua cream y un lápiz para cada una?

Habrá que meditarlo con la almohada.

Now it's time to share these purchases as good siblings. From the two duo eyeshadows, Marian has chosen 'Lucky Charms' and marox 'Lovey Dovey'. The only problem is how to share the kit from MUFE. An aqua cream and an eye pencil each?

Surely we'll have to sleep on it.

Parecidos Razonables / Reasonable Lookalikes (V): Label Whore vs. Comfort Zone Wet n Wild

Hoy os traemos una nueva entrada de nuestros parecidos razonables, aunque en esta ocasión no vamos a presentaros dos esmaltes muy parecidos sino dos sombras.
Si habéis visto las últimas entradas que hemos subido, supongo que esta comparativa no os pillará de sorpresa.

We're back with another comparison post for our 'Reasonable Lookalikes' series, though this time around we won't be showing you two nailpolishes that are close to one another but two eyeshadows.

If you've read the last few entries we've uploaded, I suppose this comparison won't come as surprising.

La sombra 'Label Whore' de Too Faced la pedimos por Internet a LookFantastic y la paleta 'Comfort Zone' de Wet n Wild le tocó a marox como parte del primer premio que ganó en el sorteo del blog de Schni. Una de las sombras incluidas en este octeto efectivamente es muy, pero que muy parecida a la Label Whore.

We ordered the 'Label Whore' e/s from Too Faced from an online store based in the UK, LookFantastic and the 'Comfort Zone' palette from Wet n Wild was part of the first prize marox won on Schni's blog giveaway. One of the eyeshadows contained in this 8-pan palette is indeed very similar to Label Whore.

La textura de ambas sombras es muy similar, las dos son muy sedosas y pigmentadas. Hay algo que nos ha llamado la atención: el color de la de Wet n Wild se parece más a la de Too Faced al probarla en el dedo, pero sin embargo cuando la pasamos del dedo al antebrazo, por alguna extraña razón aparece un subtono marrón que no se apreciaba anteriormente y que hace que se parezca algo menos. Creo que se aprecia bien lo que quiero decir en las fotos.

The texture feels similar in both, they are very silky and very pigmented. There was something that caught our eye: the colour on the WnW is closer to the Too Faced one when swiped on your fingertip, but when we swatched that from our finger onto the back of the arm, for some strange reason part of the closeness is lost, as some brownish undertones that were not as noticeable before now are. I think the pics reflect quite well what I'm talking about.

Para los que no vivimos en EEUU, la marca Wet n Wild se puede comprar por Internet en sitios como Ebay o Non Pareil Boutique. En EEUU se puede comprar en tiendas como Walgreens, Walmart, Target, CVS y RiteAid. Evidentemente, yo no la he conseguido a través de ninguna de ellas, por lo que no tengo ni idea de la disponibilidad. Dudo que los puntos de venta que menciono sirvan pedidos a otro sitio que no sea EEUU. Sé que Walmart tiene tiendas en otros países americanos, pero no sé más que eso.

For non-US residents, the brand Wet n Wild can be purchased online in places like Ebay or Non Pareil Boutique, etc. In the States, it's available at drugstores and pharmacies like Walgreens, Walmart, Target, CVS and RiteAid. Obviously I didn't get hold of this using any of those, so I have no idea of the availability. I doubt the US stores I mentioned ship anywhere outside the US. I do know there are Walmarts in other countries in America, but nothing more than that.

Un caprichito satisfecho / A lemming fulfilled

No sé si recordáis que en el viaje a Madrid, estuvimos recorriendo todos los Sephoras con mostrador de Too Faced, ya que en nuestro Sephora teníamos encargado un producto desde hacía varios meses y no daba señales de vida.
En una de las múltiples visitas a Sephora nos dijeron que probáramos en Internet, que es lo que finalmente hemos hecho para hacernos con... *** Redoble de tambor *****


I don't know if you remember our mentioning that when we went to Madrid, we checked out every Sephora with a Too Faced counter, as we'd ordered something from our local Sephora several months ago that was proving to be very hard to find.
In one of our visits to Sephora we were told to try the Internet, which is what we finally did to get our greedy hands on ... *** Drumroll ***

¡Por fin!... La sombra 'Label Whore' / At last!! Our 'Label Whore' eyeshadow!


Bueno, en realidad hemos comprado dos, una para cada una. Marian tenía pensado regalársela a marox por su cumpleaños en abril, pero después de tanto tiempo esperando por ella y babeando frente al tester, pues decidimos pedir dos.
El pedido lo hizo Marian a LookFantastic, una tienda online del Reino Unido. El pago fue mediante Paypal y llegó en aproximadamente una semana. Los gastos de envío son gratis -¿por tiempo limitado?, así que genial.

Well, actually we got two, for the both of us. Marian had meant to give this to marox on her birthday which is in April, but after spending so much time waiting for it and drooling in front of the tester at the Two Faced counter, we decided to order two of them.

Marian placed an order at LookFantastic, an online store based in the UK. Payment was made via Paypal and delivery took about a week. Shipping was free -for a limited time?-, which is great.

Es una sombra preciosa, muy especial, con muchos matices. Aunque parece muy oscura y con mucho brillo es muy ponible, ya la hemos usado varias veces en looks de día y queda preciosa.
Aunque no nos gusta gastarnos mucho dinero en un solo producto, esta sombrita sí que nos parecía que merecía la pena por lo especial que es. Respetamos a la gente que no tiene reparo en gastarse 16 € en una sombra de MAC para iluminar, tipo 'Vanilla', pero para nosotras es un poco tirar el dinero cuando nuestra querida Essence tiene sombritas estupendas para iluminar. Nosotras hemos tocado 'pan' en la que viene en la paleta mate de la EL 'Secrets of the Past' y Marian compró otra parecida en Berlín de repuesto. Ese dinerito hemos preferido invertirlo en una sombrita tan especial como esta.

It's a gorgeous eyeshadow, very special and full of nuances. It may appear too dark and sparkly, but it's very wearable. We've used this for several daytime looks and it's beautiful.

Although we don't like to spend too much on a beauty product, we did think this eyeshadow was worth it for the reasons stated above. We obviously respect those who are willing to fork out €16 on a MAC eyeshadow for highlighting, such as 'Vanilla' but we felt that would be a waste of money in our case when our beloved Essence has some nice e/s for that purpose. We've already hit pan on the one in the 'Secrets of the Past' LE matte palette and Marian bought a similar one in Berlin as backup.

So we decided to invest that money in a unique eyeshadow as 'Label Whore' is.

Se nos ocurrió comparar el tamaño de esta sombra con una de Essence, y corregidnos si nos equivocamos, pero ¿no creéis que miden lo mismo? Nosotras pensamos que sí. Veréis.

We thought of comparing this eyeshadow with another one from Essence, to see whether they were the same size or not, and we don't know if we're right but, don't you think they're the same size? We think so. Look.

Por el momento no tenemos pensado depotar esta sombra, porque la cajita es monísima, pero si se cae y la caja se rompe, está bien saber que cabrá perfectamente en la paleta vacía de BF que compró Marox (una para ella y otra para Marian) y que os tenemos que enseñar debidamente.

At the moment we don't want to depot this eyeshadow, because the box is very nice, but if it falls down and the box gets broken, then we already know that it will perfectly fit into the empty palette Marox bought from BF (one for her and another one for Marian) and that we still have to properly show you.
