Parecidos razonables/Reasonable lookalikes: Chicogo 'Zeigeist' - Orly 'Space Cadet'.

Hola, chicas:
Esta es una de esas entradas que pensé que tenía subidas desde hace tiempo, y me he dado cuenta de que ni siquiera la había escrito. Por lo visto, sólo estaba en mi cabeza.

Cuantos más productos de maquillaje tenemos, más fácil es encontrar parecidos entre unos y otros. Esto es lo que ha ocurrido con estos dos esmaltes que os voy a enseñar.



Uno de ellos es el esmalte de Chicogo "Zeigeist", que pudísteis ver *aquí*. Lo compramos hace tiempo en el mercadillo (esa fuente inagotable de gangas potinguiles).

El otro es el esmalte "Space Cadet" de Orly, uno de los favoritos de Marox, y que a mí también me encanta. Lo vísteis *aquí*.

Por supuesto, no son clones exactos.
Se parecen más en el color que en el acabado y la cobertura, como podéis ver.

El esmalte de Orly necesita más capas para conseguir la misma cobertura. Además tiene un acabado foil.

Cada uno tiene su propio estilo, pero ambos son preciosos. ¿No os parece?

This is one of those posts that I thought I had uploaded a long time ago, and then realized that I had not even written it. It was only in my head.

The more make-up products we own, the easier it is to find lookalikes between them. This is what happened with these two polishes I'm showing you now.

One of them is the polish 'Zeigeist' from Chicogo, which you could see *here*. We bought it some time ago at the local street market (you know, that endless source of make-up bargains!).

The other one is 'Space Cadet' from Orly, one of Marox's favourites, and one I also love. You could see it *here*.



Of course, they're not exact dupes.
They are more similar in terms of shade than in finish or coverage, as you can see.

The polish from Orly needs more coats to get the same colour payoff. Besides, it has a foil finish.

Each one of them has its own style, but both are gorgeous. Don't you think so?

Hoy me gustaría enseñaros una manicura que lucí hace ya algunas semanas.

Today I want to show you a mani I sported a few weeks back.

Día 1: Tras más de una semana sin pintarme las uñas -se me rompieron dos-, decido estrenar este esmalte que encontramos en el mercadillo y que os enseñamos en su día *aquí*. Aplico una capa de la base de P2 y después una capa generosa de este esmalte. Smaltoitaliano comentó que este esmalte tendrá ya unos diez años, pero a pesar de eso no tuve problemas con la fórmula. Quizá tiraba un poco a espesa, pero como digo, no tuve ningún problema. Es un precioso color granate tornasolado, que según le de la luz se ve cobrizo. Un esmalte duocromático muy recomendable, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que sólo nos costó un euro.

Day 1: After more than a week without polishing my nails -two of them got broken- I decide to use for the first time this polish we bought at the local street market and that we showed you recently *here*. I apply one coat of the P2 base and then a generous one of this polish. Smaltoitaliano commented at the time that this lacquer was an oldie dating probably to ten years ago, though I had no issues formulawise. If something, it was slightly on the thick side, but like I said, no issues whatsoever. It's a gorgeous maroon duochrome shade, which I can only praise, considering we only paid one euro for this baby.

Al menos de momento, no aplico topcoat, ya que quizá le haga una estampación encima, porque a este paso, se me va a olvidar cómo se hace. Seca bastante rápido.

Se me parece mucho a uno que tenía en mi wishlist, así que la revisaré para quitarlo.

At least for the time being, I don't apply any topcoat as I might stamp over this later, because at this rate I'm going to forget how that is done. Drying time was quite good.

It reminds me of a certain polish in my wishlist, so I'll take a look at that to remove it.

Día 4: Me quito el esmalte antes de lavarme el pelo, sin haber estampado ni nada. Tras haber pasado el día limpiando, empezaba a tener desconchones. He notado que se me desgastaron las puntas.

Como con la cámara de Marian no conseguimos captar bien del todo el efecto tornasol de este esmalte, pruebo con mi cámara pequeña, que lo clava. Tiene huevos que mi Samsung ES10 - una cámara de menos de 100€ - en mis inútiles manos lo consiga y no lo haga una réflex en manos de Marian, que es de las que se empolla los manuales de instrucciones, tutoriales en Internet y todo lo que haga falta para sacarle el jugo.

Day 4: I took it off before I washed my hair, without having done any stamping or anything. After spending the day cleaning, I began to experience some chipping. I also noticed some tipwear.

As we didn't really get to capture the duochrome effect of this, I take a chance with my smallest camera and it nails it. Actually, it's a bit rich that my Samsung ES10, which was less than 100 EUR and handled by Dummy Me, and a DLSR in the hands of Marian who usually studies the user's manuals, sees online tutorials and whatnot to make the most of it could not.
