UDLS/NOTW: ANNY 'Secret of love'.

Aqui os traigo uno de los últimos esmaltes que *compré*. Como sabréis, es una marca de venta exclusiva en perfumerías Douglas.
Ultimamente me estoy portando muy bien: al ordenar el cajón del maquillaje he sido consciente de lo mucho que ha aumentado mi colección en unos años y me he propuesto intentar gastar alguno. ¿Lo malo? Que no tengo tiempo casi ni de pintarme.

Día 1: Por la tarde, aplico una capa de la base de P2, seguida de una generosa de este esmalte del Douglas. Remato con una capa del BTGN de Essence.

Here I am to show you one of the latest polishes that I *bought*. As you may already know, this brand is sold exclusively at Douglas perfumeries.
I'm being a good girl lately, after realising how much my makeup collection has grown in the last few years. The pros of sorting my makeup drawer at my parents'. The con? I'm so busy these days I barely have time to dab some makeup on.


 

Day 1: In the evening, I apply a coat of my P2 base, followed by a somewhat generous one of this polish from Douglas perfumeries. I finished it off with a coat of the Essence BTGN top sealer.

Day 4: I took it off in the morning. Wear was pretty good, considering we've been doing some cleaning at home this week.

Have you tried any ANNY polishes? We always found their prices a little bit off-putting (they're usually around 10 EUR), but this time they had a big discount and were only 4.99 EUR.. 

Dia 4: Me lo quito por la mañana. Ha aguantado muy bien, para haber estado de limpieza.

¿Habéis probado algún esmalte de ANNY? A nosotras nos echaba un poco para atrás el precio (unos 10€), pero los que compramos estaban rebajados a 4,99€.

UDLS/NOTW: ANNY 'Summer dream'.

Seguro que os estaréis preguntando por qué para una manicura hacemos una entrada común, puesto que normalmente las hacemos sólo para mostraros nuestras compras o los productos que hemos terminado.

Pues bien, la razón es que esta semana hemos coincidido las dos en hacernos la manicura con el mismo esmalte. No nos hemos puesto de acuerdo. Lo juramos.



Pensamos que un esmalte en este color rosa claro era muy adecuado para la primavera. Lo vistéis en *esta* entrada de compras.

Vamos a enseñaros a continuación al trío protagonista de esta manicura.

Como veis, el top coat que hemos usado ha sido el de Seche Vite, pues a Marian todavía no se le ha terminado.

Este esmalte de ANNY es muy cubriente, y una capa generosa ha sido suficiente para dejar un color homogéneo en toda la uña.

En cuanto a la duración del esmalte, Marian está contentísima (gran compra), porque le ha durado 6 días. Nos costó rebajado 4,99€.
A Marox le duró un poquito menos, pero también le da buena nota.

You'll surely be wondering why we're writing this as a joint post, as we usually do this only when we show you our hauls or the items we've used up.

OK, the reason is that this week we've used the same polish for our manis. There has been no agreement. We swear.

We thought this polish in a pale pink shade was really appropriate for the spring. You saw it as part of *this* haul post.

Now here come the three main characters.



As you can see, we've used Seche Vite as top coat, because Marian has not used hers up yet.

This polish from ANNY has an excellent coverage, so much that one generous coat was enough to provide an even finish on the nails.



And as far as lasting time is concerned, Marian is very pleased with this polish (great purchase!), because she could keep her mani on for 6 days in good conditions. It was discounted at €4.99.
Marox's mani lasted less, but the polish gets good grades from her all the same.

Compras varias acumuladas - Sundry haul.

Hola, chicas:

Aquí estamos de nuevo para enseñaros los productos (de maquillaje o no) que hemos comprado últimamente.

Primero vamos con las compras potinguiles.
Podéis ver, de izquierda a derecha y de arriba a abajo, los esmaltes de ANNY "Summer dream" y "Secret of love", el esmalte de Essence "Grey-t to be here" y el nº 81 de Andreia, en un tono que resulta difícil de describir.
Los esmaltes de ANNY nos costaron 4,99€ cada uno, porque los tenían en oferta en Douglas. El de Essence no recuerdo cuánto fue, y el de Andreia unos 2€. Marox lo compró en una tienda de productos de peluquería de un centro comercial.



Y ahora os enseñamos las compras no potinguiles.
No es nada especial, pero sí muy útil.
Como cada vez son menos los supermercados que dan las bolsas, siempre viene bien llevar una de éstas en el bolso.
Además, sólo cuestan 1,95€ cada una.

Bueno, esto ha sido todo por el momento.
Sabemos que no es mucho, pero es que intentamos "portarnos bien".

Here we are again to show you the items, either make-up related or not, that we've bought recently.

Let's see our make-up related purchases first, shall we?.
You can see, from left to right and up to down, the ANNY polishes  'Summer dream' and 'Secret of love', the Essence polish  'Grey-t to be here', and no.81 from Andreia, in a shade really difficult to describe.
The polishes from ANNY were €4.99 each, because there was an special offer at Douglas. I can't remember how much the polish from Essence was, and the Andreia one cost about €2. Marox bought it at a beauty supplies store located inside a mall.

Now move onto the non make-up related ones.
They're not uncommon items at all, but they're very useful.
Most of the supermarkets charge for their plastic bags, so it's a good idea to bring one of these in your purse.
Besides, they only cost €1.95 each.



Well, this is all for now.
We know it's not much, but the fact is we're trying to 'be good' and behave.

De compras por Berlín (V)- Haulin' in Berlin (V): Douglas

Hoy os traigo la que, en principio, será la última entrega sobre las droguerías alemanas. Ya os adelantaba en la última entrada que hablaría de las perfumerías Douglas.
Esta cadena de perfumerías, presente en varios países europeos entre ellos nuestro país, en Alemania es el equivalente a Sephora. En algunas de sus tiendas, podemos encontrar marcas como M.A.C. o Benefit, no así en las dos que visitamos mi hermana y yo en nuestra estancia.

Al hablar de Douglas utilizo la palabra 'perfumería' ya que allí encontramos principalmente productos de gama media-alta en cosmética y perfumería, no tanto droguería como era el caso de cualquiera de las que hemos mencionado en otras entradas.



I'm back with probably the last installment in our German drugstore series. I mentioned in my last post that the next one would be about Douglas.
This chain of perfumeries, with stores in many European countries, among them Spain, is the German equivalent to Sephora. In some of their stores we may find high-end brands like M.A.C or Benefit, though this was not the case in the ones we visited while in Berlin. When talking about Douglas I'd like to emphasize the use of word 'perfumerie' as it specializes in medium and high end brands and sells cosmetics and perfumes rather than just drugstore products as was the case with the other stores we have mentioned in previous blogposts.

Las que visitamos se encontraban en dos centros comerciales, el Alexa y el Postdamer Platz Arkaden, si bien sólo compramos en la segunda.
Dentro de las marcas de gama media, encontramos marcas alemanas como la muniquesa ArtDeco -con su famosa prebase de sombras, la más barata dentro de su categoría - y Beyu, supuestamente submarca de la anterior.




The stores we visited were part of a Shopping Centre, within the Alexa and the Postdamer Platz Arkaden, though we only purchased something in the second. In the medium-price range, we have some German brands like ArtDeco from Munich -with its bestseller eyeshadow primer, the cheapest one in its category- and Beyu, which is supposedly a second brand of the former.

También disponen de stand de la firma sueca Isadora, con por ejemplo sus famosos e imitadísimos esmaltes de acabado craquelado o "crackling". Douglas dispone también de maquillaje de su propia marca, con por ejemplo paletas de sombras redondas similares a las de Nyx. Hablando de Nyx, en algunas ciudades alemanas están empezando a comercializarla aunque más caras de lo que podemos encontrar por Internet (Ebay).

Como productos low-cost en algunas ciudades se puede encontrar la firma italo-turca Flormar, en la que podemos encontrar esmaltes de uñas, sombras y coloretes de buena calidad y bajo precio.
En el Douglas del P.P.Arkaden había un stand de esmaltes de Catrice, donde compré mi ansiado Clay-ton my Hero. Debería haber estado rebajado puesto que era uno de los tonos que retiraban, pero bueno, no me puedo quejar porque ya lo había dado por perdido.

There's also a display of Isadora cosmetics from Sweden, with the popular and much-duped crackling topcoats. Douglas has its own line of cosmetics as well with round eyeshadow palettes similar to the Nyx ones. Speaking of Nyx, the brand is slowly being introduced in some of their stores, though more expensive than if bought online through Ebay, for instance.

On the low-cost spectrum, in some German cities you may find the Italian/Turkish brand Flormar with some interesting products such as nail polishes, eyeshadows and blushes. The Douglas at the PPArkaden had a small Catrice nail polish display next to the checkout, where I got my beloved Clay-ton my Hero. It should have been half-price or something, but I paid full price for it but well, since I had almost given up any hope of finding it I guess I can't complain.

Centrándome ya en las dos tiendas que visitamos, hay otras marcas que quiza os puedan interesar. Recientemente, han empezado a vender esmaltes de la marca OPI, eso sí a 16 € cada uno. También encontramos una marca que yo desconocía, ANNY -aparentemente de EEUU- del mismo tamaño y con un precio que rondaba los 9 € y algunos tonos de lo más interesantes.
En concreto, recuerdo un posible clon del preciosísimo "Paradoxal" de Chanel que habría comprado de no ser porque sólo quedaba el tester. En la tienda de Postdamer Platz ni siquiera estaba. Era el tono 'Must Have'- ¿Verdad que es una preciosidad? **Babas**Babas** (Nota: Definitivamente, necesito iconos)










And now, going back to the Douglas stores we did visit, there are some other brands that may catch your eye. They have recently started selling OPI -at €16 a bottle, ouch!!. Another new brand to Douglas and one I had never heard of was ANNY -apparently from the US- that offer the same amount of nail polish in some very interesting colours at € 9 per bottle. In particular, there was a possible dupe for the gorgeous 'Paradoxal' by Chanel I would have gladly purchased were it not for the fact that the only remaining bottle was the tester -and not even that was left in the Postdamer Platz store. It was the shade 'Must Have'. Isn't she a beauty? **Drooling** (I *need* some icons)

Definitivamente, para mí sí que es clon del Paradoxal.
P.D: Ya era hora de que los swatches de Pinkmelon tuvieran fotos decentes.
