UDLS / NOTW: NYC & Essence.

¡Hola a todas!

Hacía tiempo ya que no os subía una manicura. Lo cierto es que hacía tiempo que no dedicaba un ratín a pintarme las garritas.

Para esta manicura, utilicé tres esmaltes: el de NYC que ya os he enseñado otras veces y que queda tan alegre para el verano y el de Essence en los dedos anulares y que tiene unos pequeños brillitos dorados. Apliqué en todas las uñas el esmalte de efectos de Essence 'Waking Up in Vegas'. No os preocupéis si no lo encontráis ya, porque los hay muy parecidos.
Usé la base y el topcoat de Essence que tanto me gustan, de la línea Better Than Gel Nails, aunque no os los muestro.




Me pinté las uñas un lunes y me aguantaron en perfecto estado hasta el jueves, sin desconchones. Creo recordar que me las despinté al día siguiente.

Me despido comentándoos que tenéis rebajas de hasta el 50% en una selección de productos de The Body Shop, hasta el 27 de julio. Daos prisa porque algunos vuelan.

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I last uploaded a mani. The truth is that it's taken me some time to grab my stash and paint my claws.

Anyway, this is what I used for this mani: the first polish out of three is the bright pink from NYC that is so sunny and perky, totally summery. I also used the coral shade from Essence, but only on my ring fingernails as an accent. I topped all nails with the special effects polish 'Walking Up in Vegas' that Essence launched long ago. No worries if you can't find it anymore, as there are lots of dupes out there.



Not pictured but used all the same were my trusty Essence Better than Gel Nails base and top coats.
I painted my nails on a Monday and they were in mint condition until Thursday, with no chipping whatsoever. If my memory doesn't fail me I think I removed the polish the next day.

Productos terminados #33 - 'Finito' products #33.

Aquí venimos con una nueva reseña de los productos que hemos acabado últimamente.

1 - Manteca corporal de papaya, de The Body Shop (Marian).
Ha sido la primera manteca que he probado de esta marca, y obviamente no será la última, porque ya estoy usando la de arándano azul, y tengo esperando la de moringa.
Me encanta cómo hidratan estas mantecas, y el olor que dejan.
Lo que sí os puedo decir es que dependiendo de la variedad, tienen una textura más mantecosa o más fluida.
Esta de papaya está entre las primeras. A pesar de su textura mantecosa, se extiende bien.

2 - Agua micelar de algas marinas de Ziaja (Marian).
No está mal, pero tampoco es como para tirar cohetes. Retira bien el maquillaje, pero hay que insistir mucho. Como la utilizo para desmaquillar los ojos, no creo que frotar y frotar sea una buena idea.
De momento, no repetiré con ella.

3 - Máscara de pestañas "Big bold", de NYC, en el tono "extra black" (Marian).
Me ha gustado bastante. Deja las pestañas muy negras y sin grumos de producto.
Me costó acostumbrarme al grosor del gupillón. Parecía que me lo iba a meter en el ojo. ¡Qué miedo!
De momento, no voy a repetir con ella, pero tampoco la descarto totalmente.



4 - Lápiz de ojos automático de Yves Rocher, en tono negro (Marian).
Con éste sí que no voy a repetir. Me ha decepcionado muchísimo.
Cuando lo compré, buscaba un lápiz khol (de esos gordotes), y me dijeron en la tienda que ese producto estaba descatalogado, pero que lo había sustituído éste.
Tururú que te ví. Vamos, ni parecido.
Pigmenta poquísimo, y precisamente buscaba una alta pigmentación.
Además, los productos de Yves Rocher, a no ser que estén en promoción, o utilices un cupón de descuento, no son precisamente baratos.
Pigmentan cien mil veces más los de Essence, por ejemplo, por mucho menos dinero. Y también son resistentes al agua.

5 - Manteca de karité de Yves Rocher (Marox).
Como veis en la foto, no está terminado.
Es un producto que he usado muy poco, y llevaba tanto tiempo abierto que huele a rancio, así que creo que llegó el momento de darlo por terminado.
Lo he estado utilizando para hidratar la zona de los codos, por ejemplo.

Bien, estos han sido nuestros "terminados" hasta el momento.

Hi ladies,

Here we are once again ready to give you our thoughts on our latest 'Empties'.

1- Papaya Body Butter from TBS (Marian): It's been my first from the brand and it won't be the last. I'm currently using the blueberry one and the moringa one will be next.
I love how moisturising these are and the scent.
One thing I should mention is how different the texture is depending on the variety, as these body butters can be thicker and more buttery or can go on more smoothly. The papaya one belongs to the former, though despite the buttery consistency it still goes on quite smoothly.

2- Sea weed micellar water from Ziaja (Marian): Not bad, but this is nothing to write home about in any case. I use this cleansing water to remove my eye makeup and I honestly don't think it's a good idea to rub my eyes repeatedly with this.
For the time being, I won't repurchase.



3- 'Big Bold' NYC mascara in the shade 'extra black' (Marian): I liked this a lot. You get really black lashes with no clumps. Getting used to the huge wand took some time, though. I was afraid I'd poke it into my eye, no kidding!
I won't repurchase for now, though I'm not ruling that out entirely.

4-  Automatic eye pencil in black from Yves Rocher (Marian): I will definitely NOT buy this again. It's been a huge disappointment.
When I originally bought this, I was looking for a khol pencil -one of those thick ones, you know- and was told it was discontinued but had been replaced with this.
My a*s. Not even close.
The colour payoff is really lame, exactly the opposite of what I was looking for.
Besides, Yves Rocher products aren't exactly cheap unless there's a sale, voucher or promotion of some sort.
The Essence ones are a million times better in terms of pigmentation and at a fraction of the cost. And are waterproof too.



5 - Yves Rocher shea butter (marox):  As you can see in the picture this is far from being used up. I haven't used this very often and unfortunately it has gone off, so no other choice but to throw it away.
I was using this to keep my elbows and other extremely dry areas moisturised.

Look "Red Bean Pie".

Como os dije en *esta* entrada, aquí os traigo el look que me hice hace unos días para un evento.

Siempre me suelo maquillar a juego con la ropa que llevo, así que busqué los colores más parecidos que tenía.
Aquí podéis ver lo que he utilizado.

En el rostro, he utilizado mi prebase de ArtDeco (que hacía tiempo que no utilizaba), y encima, mi BB cream Luminous Silk. Ahora ya no la mezclo con nada, pues la verdad es que unos minutos después de aplicarla, ya no se ve tan clara. Como corrector,  usé uno en barra de Deliplús, que compré hace tiempo y tenía sin estrenar. He decidido usar mis "potis tristes".
Como colorete, he usado el de Alverde en el tono "Flamingo".
También usé el dúo "Be a perfect 10" de Benefit (el bronceador para contornear y el iluminador).

En los ojos, utilicé mi prebase de Rival de Loop (ya no queda mucho), y después, la sombra "Red Bean Pie" de NYX (de ahí el nombre del look), en el párpado móvil. Para marcar la cuenca, usé la sombra marrón oscura mate de la paleta "Undressed" de MUA. Para marcar la V externa, utilicé la sombra gris oscura con brillos. También usé esta misma sombra bajo las pestañas inferiores.
Y para iluminar, utilicé la sombra color vainilla de esta paleta.
Para la línea superior de pestañas, usé el delineador líquido en negro de P2, y el lápiz negro automático de Yves Rocher para la línea de agua de las pestañas inferiores.
Como máscara de pestañas, usé la Big Bold de NYC.



Para los labios, utilicé el Megashine Lipgloss de NYX en el tono "Burgundy". Hay que tener cuidado al aplicarlo, pero la verdad es que me encanta su pigmentación, y el color es precioso.

Bueno, esto ha sido todo por el momento.

As I told you in *this* post, here I am to share with you the make-up look I wore some days ago for a special occasion.

I always tend to match the colours in my make-up with those of my clothing, so I looked for the most similar ones that I had.
This is what I used.



For the face, I used my ArtDeco Face Primer -which I haven't used for a long time-, and on top, my Luminous Silk BB cream. Now I'm not mixing it with anything else, because after a few minutes it's not that light. As a concealer, I used one from Deliplus that comes in a stick, which I bought a long time ago and had unused. I've decided to use my 'long time forgotten make-up stuff'.
As a blush, I used the one from Alverde in the shade 'Flamingo'.
I also used the duo 'Be a perfect 10' from Benefit (both the bronzer and the highlighter).

As for the eyes, I used my eyeshadow primer from Rival de Loop (there's not much left), and after that, the 'Red Bean Pie' eyeshadow from NYX this look gets its name from on the upper lid. For the crease, I used the matt dark brown eyeshadow from the 'Undressed' palette from MUA. To mark the outer V, I used the dark grey one with shimmer, which I also used for the lower lashline.
And to highlight the browbone, I used the vanilla eyeshadow from this palette.
For the upper lashline, I used the liquid eyeliner in black from P2, and the automatic eye pencil in black from Yves Rocher for the waterline.
As for the mascara, I used the Big Bold from NYC.

For the lips, I used the Megashine Lipgloss from NYX in the shade 'Burgundy'. I had to be very careful when applying it, but I truly love both its great pigmentation and beautiful shade.

Ya sabéis que este tipo de entradas no suelen ser muy habituales en este blog, pero hace unos días me hice este look que he querido compartir con vosotras.



La verdad es que es muy simple, y no he usado muchas sombras, así que tampoco tiene nada de especial, pero aun así, espero que os guste.

Os enseño a continuación todo lo que he utilizado.



Rostro:

*BB cream de Holika Holika "Luminous Silk" en el tono Light Beige.
*Corrector en crema Deliplus, en el tono 02.
*Polvos sueltos "Noche y Día", para matificar (no aparecen en la foto. Ooops, se me olvidó).
*Colorete Alverde en el tono "Flamingo".
*Dúo bronceador/iluminador de Benefit, en el tono "Be a perfect 10".

Ojos:

*Prebase para sombras Rival de Loop Young (qué gran hallazgo). Sale en la foto junto a los productos de rostro. Un despiste.
*Paleta de sombras "You Rock!" de Essence, de la edición limitada del mismo nombre.
He utilizado las sombras que están marcadas con una flecha.
*Delineador líquido de P2 en el tono "black".
*Máscara de pestañas "Big bold" de NYC en el tono "extra black".

Labios:

*Labial líquido de L'Oreal HIP, en el tono "780 Indestructible".
Ocurre una cosa muy curiosa con este labial, y es que tinta un poco el labio, pero no lo deja con un tono rojo amarronado, como se ve recién aplicado, sino que vira un poco al rosa.

Bueno, esto ha sido todo por el momento.

You already know that this kind of posts are a bit unusual in this blog, but some days ago I made this look, which I wanted to share with you.

It's really simple, and I haven't used many eyeshadows, so it's nothing special, but I hope you like it anyway.

Now I'm showing you all that I used.

Face:

*'Luminous Silk' BB cream from Holika Holika, in the shade Light Beige.
*Cream concealer from Deliplus, in the shade 02.
*'Noche y día' loose powder, to set the foundation (they don't appear in the pic. Ooops, I forgot).
*Blush from Alverde, in the shade 'Flamingo'.
*Bronzing/highlighting duo from Benefit, in the shade 'Be a perfect 10'.

Eyes:

*Eyeshadow base from Rival de Loop Young (what a great discovery). It appears in the pic among the products used for the face. A little mistake.
*Eyeshadow palette 'You Rock!', from Essence, from a limited edition with the same name.
I've used the eyeshadows marked in the pic with an arrow.
*Liquid eyeliner from P2 in the shade 'black'.
*'Big bold' mascara from NYC in the shade 'extra black'.



Lips:

*Liquid lipstick from L'Oreal HIP, in the shade '780 Indestructible'.
It happens quite a strange thing with this liquid lipstick. It dyes lips a little, but not with its red brown original shade, as it's once applied, but it turns to a pinky shade.

Well, this is all for now.

Compras varias acumuladas / Sundry Haul

Una vez más, aquí estamos para enseñaros los productos que hemos comprado últimamente.

Once again, here we are to show you the stuff we've bought recently.

1- Contorno de ojos 'Scinic Aqua EX gel eye cream': El contorno de ojos de Biocura que he estado usando hasta ahora va llegando a su fin, y como el de ALDI no me ha entusiasmado como para repetir, decidí recurrir una vez más a la cosmética coreana. Tras visitar mil páginas, me decidí por éste. La estética de la marca me recuerda bastante a Biotherm, si bien la composición de este contorno coreano es mucho más natural y trae 30ml, el doble que la mayoría de este tipo de productos.
Como nota negativa, la crema no viene precintada por dentro, cosa que me sorprendió bastante.

2- Máscara de pestañas NYC "Big bold mascara" (Marian), en el tono "Extra black".
Aún no la he estrenado. Esperaré a que se me acabe la que estoy usando ahora.
Ya os contaré qué tal me va, pero por lo que nos dijo la dependienta, es uno de los productos más exitosos de la marca.
Costó 3,59€.

3- Máscara de pestañas NYC "City Curls" en el tono "Black" (Marox).
Creo que tardaré en estrenarla, porque aún tengo bastante de la máscara de pestañas que estoy utilizando ahora, así que la reseña de este producto tardará lo suyo. Os preguntaréis entonces por qué la compré. Pues bien, porque había una oferta de 3x2 que había que aprovechar. Además, las máscaras de pestañas de Essence misteriosamente desaparecen de los stand, así que habrá que darles una oportunidad a éstas de NYC.
Costó 2,89€.



Los 3 productos que os vamos a enseñar a continuación los hemos en Carmyn Make-up, una tienda local de maquillaje a bajo precio, que también tiene tienda online.

4- Peeling enzimático de algas marinas de Ziaja (Marox).
Teníamos ganas de probar algún producto de la marca, a juzgar por su éxito entre youtubers y blogueras españolas varias.
No he probado nunca un peeling enzimático, así que ya os contaré mi experiencia.
De momento, la primera impresión ha sido buena: tiene un olor y textura agradables, no me ha dado reacción y la piel me quedó suavecita tras retirarla. Costó 3,99€.

5- Agua micelar de algas marinas de Ziaja (Marian).
Después de la grata experiencia que supuso para mí probar el agua micelar de Nocibé, que compró Marox en París, y que os enseñamos *aquí*, y aprovechando que esta marca tiene muy buenos precios, decidí comprar este agua micelar de Ziaja. Había varias donde elegir, pero ésta era más adecuada para pieles de 30 ó más años (como la mía).
La he probado para retirar el maquillaje de los ojos y los restos del maquillaje del rostro, y la verdad es que me ha gustado mucho.
Arrastra la suciedad y/o el maquillaje sin esfuerzo, y no escuece la piel (ni los ojos) en absoluto.
Me da en la nariz que este tipo de producto me va a gustar.
Costó 4,50€.



6- Mascarilla facial de rosa mosqueta de Ziaja.
Viene en prácticos sobres monodosis (aunque seguro que da para más de una aplicación).
Está formulada con ácido hialurónico, por lo que promete un efecto rejuvenecedor.
Reduce arrugas profundas e incrementa la firmeza y elasticidad de la piel.
Cuesta 0,80€ cada sobre.
Ambas hemos decidido comprar este producto.
Aunque después de probar un sobre no podremos, lógicamente, hablaros de los efectos sobre nuestra piel, sí os hablaremos de nuestras primeras impresiones.

Bien, estas han sido nuestras poticompras hasta el momento.

1- 'Scinic Aqua EX gel eye cream': I have almost used up the Biocura eye cream I've been using and since I'm not head over heels in love with this ALDI product, I decided to turn to Asian skincare once again. After checking out countless sites, I ended up ordering this one. The brand's packaging reminds me of Biotherm, though the INCI of this Asian cream contains mostly natural extracts and gives you 30ml, twice the amount Western brands usually give you.

The only con is that the tube was not sealed, which I found odd.

2- 'Big bold' mascara, from NYC (Marian), in the shade 'Extra black'.

I haven't used it yet. I'm waiting until I finish the one I'm using now.

I'll tell you how it works when I finally try it. According to the sales assistant, this is one of the most successful products from this brand.

It cost €3.59.

3- 'City curls' mascara from NYC, in the shade 'Black' (Marox).

I think it'll take me a while to use it, because the one I'm using at the moment is practically new, so don't expect a review of this soon.

You'll probably be wondering why I bought it. Well, because there was a 3x2 offer we had to seize.

Besides, Essence mascaras tend to disappear from the displays, so for a change we'll give these ones from NYC a chance.

It was €2.89.

The next 3 items were purchased at Carmyn Make-up, a local low cost make-up store, which also sells online. 

4-  Marine algae Smoothing enzyme peeling from Ziaja (Marox).

We were very eager to try some stuff from this brand, being as it quite popular among Spanish youtubers and bloggers all around the net.

I've never tried an enzyme peeling, so I'll let you know how this works for me when I do. 
My first impression is positive: it has a pleasant scent and texture, it didn't break me out or anything and my skin felt smooth after washing this off. It was €3.99.

5-Marine algae micellar water from Ziaja (Marian).

Being pleased as I was with the micellar water from Nocibé, which Marox bought in Paris that we showed *here*, and considering that this brand is sold at very reasonable prices, I decided to buy this one from Ziaja.

There were several ones to choose from, but this one was the suited for +30 yrs. skin (as mine is).

I've used it to remove both my eye and face make-up and it works great. I like it very much.

It removes dirt and/or make-up effortlessly, and it doesn't leave an itchy/stingy feeling at all (even on eyes).

I sense I'm going to like this kind of product. It was €4.50.

6- Rose butter face mask from Ziaja.

It comes in single-use sachets (although I'm sure there is enough amount for more than one application).

It's formulated with hyaluronic acid, which claims to have rejuvenating properties.

It reduces deep wrinkles and increases skin firmness and elasticity.

Each sachet is €0.80.

We both got one of this.

We are aware that a single sachet won't be enough to tell anything about the effects on the skin, but at least we'll be able to give you our first impressions.

Well, these were our most recent make-up related purchases so far.

UDLS / NOTW: Wild & Crazy W89 Amnesia (estampado / stamped)

¿Nos echábais de menos? Bueno, pues ya estamos aquí una vez más con una manicura.
Hacía siglos que no me hacía una estampación, así que aunque sea sencillita, ha estado bien comprobar que no he perdido práctica.

Estos han sido los esmaltes utilizados:

- 1 capa de la base de Basic de las droguerías Schlecker
- 1 capa generosa del esmalte W89 Amnesia de la marca Wild & Crazy, adquirido durante mi viaje a Estonia.
- 1 capa generosa del esmalte #04 Love me Tender, de la EL de Essence '50's Girls'.
- Esmalte de NYC en el tono #247 Prince Street para estampar: Como no era demasiado espeso, lo dejé secar sobre la placa unos cuantos segundos antes de raspar.
- Plan B: Una capa de la base de Gosh para holográficos. ¿Para qué, pensaréis? El Seche Vite que tenía aquí en Zamora estaba más tieso que la mojama y tuve que improvisar, jeje.

Con todo, la manicura me ha durado una eternidad puesta, sobreviviendo a un lavado de pelo como una campeona.

Did you miss us? Well, don't. We're back with another mani. It was ages since I actually added some stamping to my nails and as simple as it is, it was nice to check I hadn't lost practise.

Here are the polishes I used to create this mani:

- A coat of my Basic by Schecker drugstores basecoat.
- A generous coat of the Wild & Crazy polish in the shade W89 Amnesia, purchased during my trip to Estonia.
- A generous coat of the Essence polish #04 Love me Tender, from the 50's Girls LE.
- NYC polish in the shade #247 Prince Streeet for stamping. Since it wasn't too thick, I let it dry for a few seconds on the plate before scraping it off.
- Plan B: A coat of the Gosh basecoat for holos. What for, you may wonder? You see, the Seche Vite bottle I kept here in Zamora was stiff-dry and I had to improvise, lol.

All in all, this mani lasted a long time on me and even survived a hairwash like a champ.

UDLS / NOTW: NYC #247 Prince Street

Hoy vengo a enseñaros el segundo esmalte de NYC que compré en IF y que os enseñé en su día en un post de compras.

Today I'd like you to meet the second NYC polish I bought at the local IF perfumery some time ago, previously shown as part of a haul post.

Día 1: A última hora de la tarde, aplico una capa de la base de P2 seguida de una generosa/dos de este esmalte. No tengo intención de aplicar topcoat, ya que me gustaría añadirle algún tipo de decoración. Me sale alguna burbujilla en varios dedos, que no sé muy bien a qué se deba. Al igual que el otro esmalte que compré junto a este, la fórmula se nota algo líquida, pero se trabaja bien. La verdad es que el color queda muy vistoso en las uñas.

Day 1: Late in the day, I apply a coat of my P2 base followed by a heavy-handed one/two of this lacquer. I don't plan on using topcoat, as I intend to add some sort of nail art to it. I got some bubbles in several nails, dunno why. Just like with the other NYC I purchased with this, the formula seems a tad thin though it applies surprisingly well. As for the colour, it is quite eyecatching on the nails.

Día 2: Por la tarde, aplico una capa del Can't cheat on me de Essence, que hacía siglos que no usaba. Queda muy bonito, aunque evidentemente, el tono de base ya no se ve demasiado.

Day 2: In the afternoon, I apply one coat of Can't cheat on me from Essence, which I last used ages ago. The result is very pretty indeed, imo, though I have to admit the base colour is hard to see now.

Día 5: Después de una mañana de limpieza, se me desconcha la uña del dedo corazón derecho y un poco el anular, así que me lo quito.

Day 5: After a morning of housework, my right middle fingernail gets chipped, with some minor chipping on my ring finger, but I decide to get it off.

En cuanto a duración, encantada con estos esmaltes de NYC.
Very pleased with these NYC lacquers regarding lasting time.



Y me despido con mi canción favorita del 'Travelling', el último disco de mis queridos Roxette. Por cierto, que en las tiendas de aquí, estaba "Missing" o a un precio prohibitivo, así que no me tocó más remedio que comprarlo por Ebay... a Argentina. Espero que la Kirschner no me lo expropie. ;)
And I'm off with my fave song out of 'Travelling', the latest album of my good old Roxette, which incidentally was MIA in the local stores or was downright outrageously expensive, so had no other choice but buy it off Ebay... from an Argentinian seller. I hope Mrs. Kirschner does not decide to expropriate it from me. ;)

UDLS / NOTW: NYC #264 Lincoln Square Lavender

Hoy quiero enseñaros el primero de los esmaltes de NYC que compré aprovechando que tenían un descuentillo en IF y que os enseñamos *aquí*. La verdad es que sólo tenía otro esmalte de esta marca, pero en otro formato. ¿Queréis saber qué me ha parecido? Pues seguid leyendo.

Today I want to show you the first of the NYC polishes that I bought during a nice promotion the local IF perfumery & drugstore had. You can see it with the rest of our purchases in *this* haul post. I actually only had another lacquer from this brand, but that had a different format. Want to see how I liked this one? Keep on reading.

Día 1: Por la noche, aplico una capa de la base de Basic (Schlecker). Cuando está seca, aplico una capa generosa de este esmalte y como es tarde, para evitar sorpresas, una de Seche Vite -que está ya bastante espeso dicho sea de paso, a pesar de haberle añadido un par de veces Seche Restore-.

Day 1: At night, I apply one coat of my Basic (Schlecker) basecoat. Once dry, I apply a generous coat of this and to prevent any nasty surprises, another one of Seche Vite -which is quite thick, despite having added Seche Restore a couple of times already.

Día 2: Las fotos corresponden a este día.

Day 2: Pictures were taken then.

Día 5: Me está aguantando estupendamente esta manicura. En la mano derecha, tan sólo se notan las puntas desgastadas desde hace un par de días, y eso que esta mañana tocaba limpieza (con guantes). Ni un desconchón, así que sospecho que repetiré con la marca si veo algún tono que me guste (y no tenga ya, jeje).

My right hand only shows some signs of tipwear from the last couple of days, but not a chip despite having spent the morning doing some cleaning (with gloves, of course). I got a feeling I'll be trying more from this brand, if I find a shade I like (and don't own anything similar already, lol).

Mucho decir que estamos servidas de muchos potis, pero la carne es débil y hemos vuelto a pecar con algunas cosillas.

So much for saying we had enough makeup for a good while, but oh, the flesh is weak and we've given in and bought a few goodies.

1- Rouge Allure Lacquers de Chanel y barra de YSL: Creo que en otras ocasiones os hemos comentado que en el mercadillo de aquí suelen tener cosas interesantes. Allí hemos encontrado por ejemplo, los productos de *L'Oreal HiP*, que como sabéis, no se venden en España. Pues en una visita que hizo Marox al mercadillo que ponen los miércoles cerca de aquí, no pudo dejar estas maravillas en el puesto. Por desgracia, en el último puesto en el que compró, tenían los productos tres euros más baratos. ¡Qué rabia! La barra de YSL y uno de los labiales líquidos de Chanel costaron 8 euros y los dos restantes, 5€.




1- Chanel Rouge Allure Lacquers and YSL Lipsticks: I think we've already told you about the local street market and how every now and then they bring some interesting makeup stuff. We got our *L'Oreal HiP* from there, and it's a brand that is not sold here in Spain. Well, in an unplanned visit to the market that is held on Wednesdays in the neighbourhood, she couldn't walk past and leave these goodies behind. Unfortunately, some of these products were €3 cheaper on the second stall she visited. It sucks when that happens!! The YSL lipstick and one of the fluid cream lip colours from Chanel were 8 EUR each and the other two, 5 EUR.

2- Monogotas coco Deliplus (Marian): Para utilizar mientras marox no está, ya que no soporta el olor a coco. Junto con la de vainilla y la de mora, ahora se puede encontrar de forma permanente en los supermercados Mercadona, al módico precio de 1,65€. Por cierto, que en la última visita a Mercadona, nos hemos fijado en que la crema corporal de argán ha subido de precio y ahora cuesta 1,90€, es decir, diez céntimos más cara.



2- Monogotas body lotion from Deliplus (for Marian): She'll use it in marox absence, as she cannot stand coconut-scented products. It is now sold on a permanent basis, together with the vanilla and blackberry ones for the very friendly price of 1.65 EUR. By the way, during our latest visit to Mercadona, we noticed the Argan oil body cream has also suffered from the brand's price rise policy and is now 1.90 EUR, that is, 10 cents more expensive.

3- Body Spray "Azul de Agua" de Deliplus: Un nuevo lanzamiento, que venía acompañado de un gel de baño y una crema corporal en formato tubo, que no compramos. Nos gustan mucho este tipo de productos, especialmente para después de la ducha. Costó 2,50€.



3- 'Azul de Agua (Water Blue)' Body Spray from Deliplus: Another Mercadona launch, that came teamed with a shower gel and a body cream in a tube, which we didn't get. We like these kind of products very much, especially after the shower. Price: 2.50 EUR.

Han traído estos nuevos esmaltes para el verano. Traen sólo 6ml -como los de la 'I love Jeans'- y cuestan 1,99€.

These LE summer nail polishes were just in. They only have 6ml -like those in the 'I love Jeans' - and cost 1.99 EUR.

Como veis, habían arrasado con las "Color Tattoo" de Maybelline. Sólo quedaba el tono morado, y todos los envases estaban abiertos y "chuacheados".
Después estuvimos probando los últimos jumbos y delineadores de Deliplús.

As you can see, the Maybelline 'Color Tattoo' display was raided. The only shade left was the purple one, but all the jars were opened and swatched.
Then we played around with the latest jumbos and liners from Deliplus.

4- Esmalte Astor Fashion Studio tono #179: Aunque esta marca española se venden en muchos sitios (Mercadona, Alcampo, y droguerías y perfumerías varias), fue un detallito de marox para Marian comprado en una perfumería local. Marian los había visto en Alcampo y le llamó la atención este tono. Era el más especial de los que había en el expositor, en buena medida por los brillitos tan bonitos que tiene. Recuerda mucho al 'Sew Psyched' de Essie.




4-Astor nail polish from the Fashion Studio line, shade #179: This Spanish brand is available from many different stores (Mercadona, Alcampo as well as many drugstores and perfumeries), it was a small gift marox made Marian, purchased at a local drugstore. Marian had seen these at Alcampo and this shade caught her eye. It was certainly the most special colour in the display, greatly due to the gorgeous shimmer it has. It's very similar to 'Sew Psyched' from Essie.

5- Esmaltes magnéticos de Yes Love (tiendas multiprecio): Nos costaron dos euros cada uno y justo los acababan de recibir. Había muchos colores y con distintos efectos al aplicar el imán, pero marox escogió estos dos por el colorido y el dibujo algo diferente que hacía el imán. Hemos hecho una pequeña prueba al rapidillo en las ruedas de muestra y funcionan estupendamente. Eso sí, huelen un poquillo. Traen 15 ml y el imán en la tapa -que sospecho, se puede quitar y dejar un segundo tapón interno para manejar el imán sin tener que andar abriendo y cerrando el bote. Son los tonos 6 y 7 (de la versión 2.0 de esmaltes magnéticos de Yes Love).




5- Magnetic lacquers from Yes Love (euro stores): These were 2 euros each -though price varies depending on the store- and they were just in. There were many different colours to choose from as well as several magnetic effects. We did a quick test and they work really well, though are perhaps a bit smelly. Each bottle contains 15ml and magnet is included on the cap -which I suspect can be removed to reveal a second inner cap, making application easier without having to open and close the bottle to use the magnet each time. These are shades 6 and 7 (of the 2.0 version of Yes Love magnetic polishes).

6- Esmaltes mini Bourjois (marian): Los tonos no tienen nombre, sino número. El tono 87 'Beetle Apparition', como podéis ver en las fotos, es una copia del famoso 'Péridot' de Chanel. Suponemos que estará bastante lograda, puesto que Bourjois es la segunda marca de Chanel. El tono 88 'Bleu Petrole' recuerda al "Underwater" de Essence *aquí*. En las perfumerías IF tenían una promoción de 2x5€, a la que hay que sumarle un 20% de descuento que estaban poniendo, así que salió cada esmalte por 2€. Son esmaltes muy pequeñitos -3ml/0.10 fl.oz-, así que mejor aprovechad a coger un tono un poco diferente.

Cuidado: La referencia del esmalte desaparece al retirar del todo el precinto.
Watch out: The lacquer's reference will disappear if you peel off the seal completely.

6- Mini Bourjois nail lacquers (marian): Shades don't have names but numbers. Shade 87 a.ka. 'Beetle Apparition' as seen in the pictures is a clear dupe of the famous 'Péridot' from Chanel. Our guess is this should be a fairly good dupe, given that Bourjois is Chanel's youngest sister brand. Shade 88 a.k.a. 'Bleu Petrole' is reminiscent of the Essence 'Underwater' *here*. IF Perfumeries were just having a 2x€5 promotion on this, as well as an additional 20% off, so we only paid 2 EUR for each. These are rather tiny, with only 3ml/0.10 fl.oz, so you'd better grab a unique shade.




7- Esmaltes NYC gama 'In a New York Minute' (marox): Comprados en la perfumería IF, que por cierto, justo estaba poniendo un 20% de descuento en todos los productos de uñas y un 10% en alta gama. No sé por cuánto tiempo. Son los tonos #264 Lincoln Square Lavender y #247 Prince Street, que recuerda un poco al 'Poison Me, Poison You' de Catrice. Con el descuento se quedaron en 1,59€ cada uno y traen 0.33 fl oz/9,7ml, así que yo creo que han sido una buena compra. Puesto que siempre nos quejamos de que aquí en España nunca hacen descuentos interesantes, creo que es de recibo felicitar a IF por tener un detalle así, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que no hemos comprado productos caros de por sí.




7- 'In a New York Minute' NYC lacquers (marox): Purchased also at IF perfumeries, where all nail products were 20% off and high end stuff was 10% off. I don't know how long the promotion will be on for. The shades are #264 Lincoln Square Lavender and #247 Prince Street, which looks similar to 'Poison Me, Poison You' de Catrice. Thanks to the nice discount, these were just 1.59 EUR each and have 0.33 fl oz/9,7ml, so I think these were a great deal. Complaining as we often do about not having any interesting deals here in Spain I think it is only fair of us to point how cool this IF promotion is, considering we didn't buy any expensive stuff after all.

En Marionnaud no compramos nada, pero estuvimos un buen rato explorando el mueble de GOSH. Aquí tenéis unos chuaches de los lápices de ojos.

We didn't get anything at Marionnaud, but we spent a good while exploring and playing around with the goodies in the GOSH display Pictured are swatches of most of their eye pencils.

Compras de ropa en 'El Corte Inglés de Oportunidades' - Clothes Haul at 'El Corte Inglés Outlet'

Hace ya unos meses os enseñé *aquí* unas compras de ropa que hice en el "Centro de Oportunidades de El Corte Inglés" que tenemos en mi ciudad.
De vez en cuando, nos gusta darnos una vuelta por allí, a ver si hay sólo "purrela" o algo que merezca la pena.

A few months ago, I showed you a clothes' haul *here* at my local 'El Corte Inglés Outlet'. Every now and then we like to check it out, to see if they have just crap or some real good stuff.

Hoy hemos pasado un buen rato rebuscando entre los "burros" abarrotados de ropa y mi madre y yo nos hemos llevado en total 8 prendas. En esta ocasión, no hemos pillado ningún chollo de primeras marcas, pero sí cosas muy apañadas.

We paid the store a visit this morning and after a thorough search of the hangers, both my mother and I got some items, a total of 8 to be exact. We didn't get designer bargains this time, but some nice clothing all the same.

El pantalón clarito, tiene como unos cosidos simulando desgaste. Es de la marca
October y de la talla 42. Pagué el precio original, 12€. Sospecho que es una marca específica para el Outlet, pero me quedaba como un guante y ahí no lo iba a dejar, jeje.
The light blue jeans have fake rips/fraying done with stitches. The brand is called October and is a Spanish size 42. I paid the original price, 12 EUR. I suspect it's a brand specifically conceived for the Outlet, but fitted like a glove and I just didn't have the heart to leave it there, lol.





El pantalón gris, tiene unos adornos como de serigrafía. Es de Green Coast, de la talla 42. Como mi madre le quitó la etiqueta enseguida, no sé si el precio era el de la etiqueta de la foto (antes 24,95€, ahora 9€) o el del siguiente, que es de la misma marca y la misma talla. A éste mi madre le ha tenido que remeter la cintura por tres sitios porque estaba como dada de sí, muy raro, pero por lo demás, me quedaba como un guante.


The grey jeans have like a spray-painted design along the legs. The brand is Green Coast by ECI, size 42 again. My mother cut the tag as soon as we got home and therefore I'm not sure if the price is the one pictured (Before 24.95 EUR, now 9 EUR) or the next one which is the same size and brand. My mother had to make adjustments on this one at my waist in three different places (it seemed as if it had been outstretched or something, really weird), but the rest fitted like a glove.


El pantalón negro es con efecto desgastado un poco. Talla 42 de Green Coast.

También encontré una blusita rosa calada muy mona, de la marca Zendra (ECI) Petite, talla 38. Precio: antes 39,90€, ahora 6€.
La camiseta amarillita es también de Green Coast. Talla 40. Antes 7,90€, ahora 3€. Procuraré no ponérmela en presencia de mi madre, que es muy supersticiosa (el amarillo, por desgracia le trae malos recuerdos).

I also found this cute pink openwork blouse, by ECI brand Zendra Petite, size 38. Price: Before 39.90 EUR, now 6€. The long yellow T-shirt is also by Green Coast. Size 40. Before: 7.90 EUR, now 3€. I'll try not to wear this in my mother's presence. She's terribly superstitious about yellow (it brings her bad memories).

Y en esta otra foto, el último pantalón que me compré. La tela es muy ligerita y con mucha caída, ideal para estos calores y en color khaki. Son "diferentes" y para mi desgracia (soy un desastre), se arrugan con la mirada. Se lo probó mi madre y no le convencía, así que al final me lo llevé yo.
La marca es Southern Cotton, en la talla 38. Precio: antes 55.90€, ahora 12€.




And finally, the last pair of pants I got. These are very lightweight and they hang well, ideal for the hot summer weather and khaki. Different from what I usually get and unfortunately for Careless Me, crease horribly. My mum tried these on but said they didn't suit her, so I grabbed them instead. Brand is called Southern Cotton, size 38. Price: Before 55.90 EUR, now 12 EUR.

Y de postre, os dejo con una foto borrosilla con mi móvil del stand de NYC que tienen en este ECI de Oportunidades. Hoy no estaba tan zarrapastroso como suele estar.




And for dessert, a blurry phone pic of the NYC counter they have at this ECI Outlet. Thankfully today it wasn't as shabby-looking as it usually is.

¡Menos mal que no tenía pensado comprarme ropa en las Rebajas! Pero qué le voy a hacer, no me puedo resistir a una ganga.

It's just as well I hadn't planned on getting any clothes at the sales! But what can I do, I love a bargain!

Como apunte final, no sé cómo algunas podéis comprar una ropa -estupenda, dicho sea de paso Gadi- por Internet, sin tocar, sin probar. Y ya unos zapatos sí que no. Chapada a la antigua que es una, si queréis. Si aquí según las marcas hay diferencias de tres tallas, sinceramente, me dejáis "anonadá" con vuestras compras ropiles.

As a final note, I don't know how some ladies -i.e. Gadi, for instance- can get some lovely clothing bought online, without touching or trying anything on. And even shoes, that totally beats me. Call me old-fashioned if you like. Here in Spain, take for instance my clothes haul today, you can have 3 different sizes depending on the brand or fit, I honestly don't know how you achieve that feat, clothes shopping online.
