Wet n Wild 'Comfort Zone' - Look

Hola:

Hi,

Today I have a short 'n sweet post for you, simply to show you a quickie look I created a few days ago with the 'Comfort Zone' palette from Wet n Wild that I won on Schni's giveaway.

I couldn't find my brushes so had to do with the applicator included on the palette, and well, let's just say it did the job. Then, when I located my brushes I blended the different eyeshadows with the discontinued Blending brush from Mercadona.
I used the colours on the right side of the palette for this look. I lined my upper lashline with an automatic eye pencil from Max Factor that I finished shortly after this. The mascara I used was Clubbing from Bourjois in brown. I don't like it one bit, you get an exaggerated amount of product on the wand, scraping off the excess against the tube is a challenge and then the half-bald wand makes a clump-free application near impossible. I don't know if I got a defective one or what.

Like I said, a very quick EOTD with lots of grounds for improvement, though the eyeshadows are definitely worth it.

Since I know a bit more about make-up (thanks to beauty blogs and gurus on YouTube), I have purchased some brushes.

To keep them clean, there are two options: either washing them daily (with the drawback of taking several hours to get them dry), or using a cleansing solution, which leaves them clean and ready to use in a few minutes.

The main problem of these cleansing solutions is that they're a bit expensive; if you use make-up on a daily basis and/or you have many brushes, you'll run out of it at once.

Pues seguid leyendo.

So I propose you to make your own brush cleanser. It's very easy (and cheap). Are you interested? If so, keep on reading.

To make this brush cleanser you need:

-A bottle with spray.

-Water

-Alcohol

-A trickle of dishwashing liquid (if it's very concentrated, add just a few drops).

-A trickle of baby shampoo.

Add one part of water, and another one of alcohol. Now add a few drops of dishwashing liquid and the trickle of baby shampoo.

There we are, we have our own brush cleanser, which can be used for both natural and synthetic hair brushes. Now shake well, and it's ready to use.

Nuestros esmaltes de OPI (II) - Our OPI nail polishes (II)

UDLS / NOTW: OPI 'Get me to the Taj on Time'.

'Get me to the Taj on Time' is a gorgeous nude/French manicure colour with a hint of shimmer. It's the second polish from OPI that I'm sharing with you and was part of a lot of three *click here to see my other OPI* that I purchased from Ebay UK. It was listed as 'new' but like I told you I have enough reason to suspect it wasn't. As a matter of fact, it took me ages to just open the bottle with dry polish all around the bottle neck making opening it almost impossible. I actually meant to use this the week before and had to give up and choose something else instead.

Application was good, though maybe consistency was a little on the thick side especially when compared to other polishes, though it was not problematic at all.

Day 1: Around midnight, I applied a coat of calcium gel from Schlecker and then a thick one of this OPI. I didn't put any top coat on it because I wanted to cheer this nude polish up with a little something in the stamping department. Drying time was good.

Day 2: No sign of chipping or tipwear. Good sign.

Day 3: In the morning I used the image plate on the Essence stamping kit and did the same design on two nails in each hand, index and ring finger, with the Essence Stampy! in black. I applied some SV on those nails.

Day 4: After spending the morning in the kitchen, I have some sizeable chipping on both index fingers, but being such a light shade they're not that noticeable. I like that about these kind of colours.

Day 5: I removed this right before a cleaning session and hairwash. Strangely enough, the chipping was right before -without reaching- where the images I stamped started.

Did you like it? There's only one more OPI left, but as it's the one my sister chose to keep, she'd better do the talking.

*************

I don't know about you, but here at my parents' back home it's baking hot, so I strongly advice you to find a cosy, cool place in the shade. How about this?

Parecidos Razonables / Reasonable Lookalikes (V): Label Whore vs. Comfort Zone Wet n Wild

We're back with another comparison post for our 'Reasonable Lookalikes' series, though this time around we won't be showing you two nailpolishes that are close to one another but two eyeshadows.
If you've read the last few entries we've uploaded, I suppose this comparison won't come as surprising.

We ordered the 'Label Whore' e/s from Too Faced from an online store based in the UK, LookFantastic and the 'Comfort Zone' palette from Wet n Wild was part of the first prize marox won on Schni's blog giveaway. One of the eyeshadows contained in this 8-pan palette is indeed very similar to Label Whore.

The texture feels similar in both, they are very silky and very pigmented. There was something that caught our eye: the colour on the WnW is closer to the Too Faced one when swiped on your fingertip, but when we swatched that from our finger onto the back of the arm, for some strange reason part of the closeness is lost, as some brownish undertones that were not as noticeable before now are. I think the pics reflect quite well what I'm talking about.

For non-US residents, the brand Wet n Wild can be purchased online in places like Ebay or Non Pareil Boutique, etc. In the States, it's available at drugstores and pharmacies like Walgreens, Walmart, Target, CVS and RiteAid. Obviously I didn't get hold of this using any of those, so I have no idea of the availability. I doubt the US stores I mentioned ship anywhere outside the US. I do know there are Walmarts in other countries in America, but nothing more than that.

¡Gracias Schni! / Thanks, Schni!

I recently entered the giveaway one of our followers, Schni, organized to celebrate her first 100 followers. Check out her blog if you haven't already: you'll find plenty of product reviews and not only about makeup. She had a triple giveaway and the undersigned was one of the lucky winners. In fact, I won the first prize. Wanna see it?

Prize came as you can see really well protected in a box, wrapped in a silky tissue paper with white foam 'worms'. Much better than parcels from some stores, honestly.

Well, let's get to the best part, which is what was inside. An eyeshadow palette from the US brand Wet n Wild, in particular the 8-eyeshadow palette in 'Comfort Zone'. The other item is a Clinique lipgloss that comes in a squeeze tube. It's quite big and the colour is very natural. Perfect for the summer.

And here are some swatches. In the pics, all eyeshadows were swatched without a base/primer and dry. The pigmentation is excellent and they're very silky and quite big. It's a pity Spanish drugstores don't take the plunge and bring cool foreign brands like Wet n Wild, Hard Candy, Milani, Catrice and so on. Right now, all of them look the same and walking into one drugstore chain or other makes no difference at all, they all carry the same high-end and mid-priced brands -L'Oreal mascaras are 5 USD in the States, 'just like here' -note the irony. To make things worse, discounts and offers in Spanish brick & mortar drugstores are only applied to the more expensive ones. But since the profit they make on lower-end brands is smaller, they're not for it. Grrr.
Thankfully some online stores here like LadyBelleza, Maquillalia o Maxwapa are already carrying several lesser-known brands but it's always nice to be able to snoop around the display, try the testers, see the colours and all that. That's why I'm/we're so eager to visit the Beautik store that will soon be opened in Salamanca, lol.

Btw, the German exam results came out yesterday: Pass... 9 (out of 10)!

I don't know if you remember our mentioning that when we went to Madrid, we checked out every Sephora with a Too Faced counter, as we'd ordered something from our local Sephora several months ago that was proving to be very hard to find.
In one of our visits to Sephora we were told to try the Internet, which is what we finally did to get our greedy hands on ... *** Drumroll ***

¡Por fin!... La sombra 'Label Whore' / At last!! Our 'Label Whore' eyeshadow!

Well, actually we got two, for the both of us. Marian had meant to give this to marox on her birthday which is in April, but after spending so much time waiting for it and drooling in front of the tester at the Two Faced counter, we decided to order two of them.
Marian placed an order at LookFantastic, an online store based in the UK. Payment was made via Paypal and delivery took about a week. Shipping was free -for a limited time?-, which is great.

It's a gorgeous eyeshadow, very special and full of nuances. It may appear too dark and sparkly, but it's very wearable. We've used this for several daytime looks and it's beautiful.
Although we don't like to spend too much on a beauty product, we did think this eyeshadow was worth it for the reasons stated above. We obviously respect those who are willing to fork out €16 on a MAC eyeshadow for highlighting, such as 'Vanilla' but we felt that would be a waste of money in our case when our beloved Essence has some nice e/s for that purpose. We've already hit pan on the one in the 'Secrets of the Past' LE matte palette and Marian bought a similar one in Berlin as backup.
So we decided to invest that money in a unique eyeshadow as 'Label Whore' is.

We thought of comparing this eyeshadow with another one from Essence, to see whether they were the same size or not, and we don't know if we're right but, don't you think they're the same size? We think so. Look.

At the moment we don't want to depot this eyeshadow, because the box is very nice, but if it falls down and the box gets broken, then we already know that it will perfectly fit into the empty palette Marox bought from BF (one for her and another one for Marian) and that we still have to properly show you.

Aquí podéis ver cómo queda. / Here's a quick swatch.

¿Os habéis dado algún caprichito (potinguil) últimamente?
Have you satisfied any make-up lemmings recently?

Últimas adquisiciones de Essence/ Latest addition to the Essence make-up family

Hola a todas:

Hi everyone,

We've paid Bustillo (the store that sells Essence here) several visits lately, and our make-up family has increased.
Marian did the most damage (hard to imagine, is it?), and left the shelves trembling so to speak, lol.
There was also a small gift from Marox.
Enough talking. Here are some pics, and a bit of info on the different items.

Marian brought home the three eyeshadows in the picture on the first shopping spree. The one on the left is a salmon-pink shade with shimmer (though the particles are very small and subtle). The second one is a light green, matte and very beautiful. We'll have to think of a look for this eyeshadow.

The third one is a light green shade as well, though I can't really tell if it's shimmer -as Essence claims- or more like holographic imo.

Vamos con la segunda tanda de compras.

Let's go now with the second shopping spree.

All the eyeshadows you see here are matt effect. Marian fell in love with them at once. Now they're at their new home.

She also purchased the eyeliner brush. She already had the Metallics LE one, but she didn't like how it worked with the Alverde gel liner she bought in Berlin. She was looking for an angled one, and finally she found it. Now she'll have to practice.

Fácil, ¿no?

As we already told you in the beginning of this post, there was a gift from Marox to her big sister among all these things. We're giving you a clue: it's not the sharpener. Easy, huh?
OK, as there still were some things from the last LE, the 'Blossoms' one (here), she bought the 'Bloom-a-loom' nailpolish, a beautiful lilac shade with reflections of the same colour, which we don't know yet if they will be noticeable on the nails.
Marian loved Marox's 'Found my love' nailpolish, but she wanted to give her something different. We can say that it's been a hit.

Y os preguntaréis, ¿y Marox qué compró? Bueno, pues compró la sombra "Jazzed Up" y la "It's my party".

You'll probably wondering about Marox's purchases. Well, she bought the eyeshadows 'Jazzed Up' and 'It´s my party'. Oh, she also bought her sought-after gel liner in black (that was missing in her collection), in the shade 01 'Midnight in Paris'.

If you look closely, in the upper part of the pic you can see Molly's legs; she, as usual, has to be where the action is, and didn't want to miss this photoshoot.

*** And as she was well at ease during the photoshoot, she needed no encouragement at all to practise one of her favourite passtimes: sinking her teeth into whatever is handy, from shoelaces, computer cables to the lid from one of the eyeshadows, as in this case.*******

Nuestros esmaltes de Deliplus / Our Deliplus nail polishes - #80

Deliplus #80: Gris Plomo - Un acierto / A hit

I had written this entry a while ago and since we're still editing the pics for our latest haul and stuff, I thought this could be a good time to share it with you.

I have another Deliplus polish for you. Deliplus is the cosmetics house-brand from Mercadona supermarkets in Spain. I shared with you another Deliplus fave polish *here*.

This was one of their latest releases. It came out last winter, I believe. It's a dark grey shade with a foil finish, with great coverage. Mercadona describes and refers to this as 'Lead Grey'. It's a great lacquer from Deliplus and for €2.50 you get a polish comparable to high-end ones for a fraction of the price. My Midnight Kiss from China Glaze *see here* comes to mind.

In the pics I'm wearing one coat of protective base coat from Basic, available from Schlecker drugstores, a thick one of this and another one of Seche Vite. If you load your brush carefully, you can get away with one coat to paint your nails.

Although the colour range available in Deliplus cannot be compared with what you can find in brands within the same price range available here (i.e. Essence), I think this polish is different and definitely worth it. It's not another of those classic reds, pinks or pearly whites that fill most Spanish nail polish racks to boredom.

The foil finish this lacquer has is worthy of what you would get from high-end brands, so if you live/are in Spain and are looking for something along these lines, check it out on your nearest Mercadona supermarket.

Posible look flamenco / Flamenco make-up proposal

Hola:

Hi,

If you've been following us for some time, you'll probably know that the place we have our flamenco dance lessons will have a small end-of-course festival. In order to avoid last-minute nerves and lack of inspiration, here's a look I tried this week.
Gadirroja kindly suggested adapting several looks she'd done for her blog that matched the dance outfit I have to wear. The one you see is the first one I did and the one I liked the most.

It's a smokey eye using blue shades, though I toned it down with some pink near the tear duct. I used two Essence matte eyeshadows we bought this week but haven't got round to show you yet. For the outer V, I used the NYX eyeshadow in 'Morocco' -it's not matte, but not too shimmery either. Since this is a stage make-up I wanted to keep the eyes as matte as possible, because the stage lights will literally eat any makeup you've put on and glitter/shimmer is also your worst enemy.
I lined my eyes using the black gel liner from Alverde -I borrowed this from my sis. It's not bad, but it took me a while to get used to the texture (as opposed to the Essence one I've been using lately).
Gadirroja suggested going for pink lips, either a pale pink or something bolder -which is what I used, for the same reasons I explained above. It's from Kiotis by Stanhome and is also from my sister. I'd say it's a raspberry red if asked, but again, don't trust my colour descriptions too much. My mum is the artist in the family, not me.

And this is the skirt I have to dance with. It's from a girl from last year's group and was soooo long for me (I'm 5'6''/ 1.68 cm, but either this girl was a basketball player or wore it under her armpits, granpa style.) My mother had to adjust it for me, but it has so much fabric it ends up slipping through my waist, so I'll fix it with some safety pins to be extra safe. I don't want it to get in my way and end up in a rather unelegant heap on the floor - ;)

As for the dance itself, my group is doing one of the styles or 'palos' called caracoles -with fan, to make it more complicated, lol- by the late Enrique Morente (to the song 'Como reluce', which is very complicated to keep track of the compás, because this man didn't stress the beat with his lyrics, as most singers do). We've been rehearsing a lot lately, but even so it can either turn out passable or a disaster 'straight for the lions', quoting my instructor (think the Roman circus). Disaster as in all of us out of time all the time, with no coordination in our movements as a group, with one of us forgetting a combination and all of us frozen on the spot while others burst into giggles -believe me, it HAS happened. I've been dancing in front of an audience for a couple of years, but with my previous instructor we had learnt the steps by heart with months in advance and could dance all our numbers (I think I had like six different ones last year) with our eyes closed. This year, we finished putting together the choreography last month. Btw, my former dancemates are performing tonight.

Today it's time to say thanks to two of our subscribers, who kindly decided to include us in their awards.
With some delay, we acknowledge the first one, given by La Loca de los Esmaltes, from the blog Todos los esmaltes son pocos. If you don't know her yet, check out her blog. Highly recommended.

And now it's time to tell 10 things about us and pass the award onto ten other blogs.

1. Marox doesn't need much to shed a tear: a good book/movie have made her shed a few - i.e. The English Patient. Marian needs more than that, she's a tough lady.

2. Marox's favourite colour is purple -anything purple has more pulling power than a magnet, being clothes, accesories or make-up. Marian also loves purple.

3. Marox is a Taurean and as most Taureans is quite stubborn. Marian is a Virgo and like most Virgoans is quite patient and a perfectionist.

4. Marox loves reading: she can read a book for a couple of hours non-stop. Not that Marian doesn't like reading, but if she reads in bed, she falls asleep at once, so she may need a few months to finish a book.

5. The only movie Marox regrets having paid to see at the cinema was 'Conspiracy Theory' (starring Julia Roberts and Mel Gibson). Something similar happened to Marian with the movie 'Open your eyes', the second film by Alejandro Amenábar. When we went out of the cinema, we had the feeling of not having understood a thing.

6. Marox's favorite perfume is 'Flower' by Kenzo. Marian's is 'Aire' by Loewe.

7. Marian is a technophile. At home, she's the one who does the setting, programming and so on. She was brave enough as to format her PC herself.

8. Marox took up self-defense lessons some years ago and had so much fun she had Karate instruction for a couple of years. She got a yellow belt. She wasn't very good at it -she was no Bruce Lee, but she had a very good time.

9. Both Marox and Marian love taking pictures. When they go on a trip, they take hundreds of them: of the 'thing', with the 'thing'..., of anything that gets their attention. As you can imagine, Molly has a ton of them. Any moment is good for that.

10. Marox was never able to learn to ride a bike. Marian could never be able to walk with high-heeled shoes (although she would love to, because she thinks they are very elegant).

Y ahora toca pasárselo a otros diez blogs / And now, it's our turn to pass it on:

RdL #51 / Catrice #230 'Clay-ton my Hero': Comparativa - Side by side comparison

In our Reasonable lookalikes series we've shown you several polishes that are very similar to one another already, but just gave you a bottle and nailwheel comparison *here*. I felt like doing a more comprehensive comparison as I've often seen in other blogs – Sasha has some excellent ones. I think you'll get to see the differences -yes, there are- better, though they're not too different to make sporting nails painted with two different colours odd.

I didn't want to add any extras that could distort the comparison -as a high shine quick-drying topcoat like Seche Vite would. I'm not wearing anything that wasn't essential, like a protecting base coat. I tried to apply the same amount of polish, but I think I might have been a little bit more generous with my Clay-ton.

As I've never been very good at describing colours or nuances, I'll let the pictures do the talking as much as I can.

As most pictures in this blog, photos were taken in daylight, with indirect light. They were done with my sister's Nikon D3000 DSLR, with the flash compensation setting on so as to better capture the colours without the blinding flash or overexposed/burned image you would get with a standard camera.

Day 1 -At midday I apply one coat of P2's 'Base and Care Coat'. Left hand: thumb, middle finger and pinky -one coat of RdL. Left index and ring finger with Clay-ton, that I also apply on my right thumb, middle finger and pinky. No Seche Vite, but both are quite shiny all on their own and drying time was good as well. The Catrice is more opaque, though both leave slightly VNL and I might have applied a heavier coat of Clay-ton.

Day 3: Tiny chipping on my right index (RdL). This mani is holding up like a champ, as if you remember I had no SV or topcoat of any sort on it.

Did you like it? I hope so, because I have another one lined up, ;)

I had my German Speaking test a few hours ago. I think I did well. Now, I'll have to wait until the results come out.

We're back with another DIY tip today. My mother was given a set of napkin holders a long time ago, made from gardening fence mesh. This material is available from any hardware store and probably from larger specialized stores like AKI and Leroy Merlin in Spain (Michael's/Walmart/Home Depot in the US, perhaps??). The one we use in this tutorial is white and the squares are 5mm in size -I've seen them in green and with 10mm squares-. Many people here use this to cover the bars in balconies to prevent the accidental fall of both children and pets and also to prevent children from stucking out their head through the bars as well as for gardening. I'm enclosing a link with a photo of the said material from a local supplier, so you can see what it looks like, what it's made of and so on.

By chance, one day we came up with the idea of using the smallest napkin holder in that set as a soap basket, once we realized the usual plastic or natural stone soap dish did not keep it properly, in the sense that it was still wet a few hours -or even the next day- after use. I don't think I need to state how unhygienic a wet bar of soap is, with bacteria growing all over the place. You need to store your soap in a container that allows it to air and get dry as soon as possible. If you know what I mean and are fed up of finding your solid shampoo or soap bar day after day all slimy and just disgusting to look at, let alone use in your shower, keep on reading.
Another advantage of this basket is that your soap/shampoo bar will last a lot longer. Guaranteed. Something you'll probably appreciate considering how pricey solid shampoos are, as opposed to your everyday liquid shampoo.

Since we had run out of mesh, we went to the nearest hardware store and bought a piece of 20cm/8 in. of width -lucky for you we bought my sister a ruler with both metric/imperial units, lol!. This will be enough to make several soap baskets, maybe four of them. We paid €0,64, if I'm not mistaken. You will also need needle and thread to both create a rim around each piece and later sew the different pieces together. My sister bought a small hank of crochet thread at a Chinese Euro store: it says nº12 -whatever that means- and cost €0,60. If you don't have any, search through your sewing basket before you buy it, as other type of thread might do the trick. I'm thinking the thread that's used for cross-stitching might do, but since my sewing skills are close to nil, I leave that to your better judgement.

To cut the different parts, my sister used her beloved self-healing cutting mat and rotary cutter, which she got from Ebay. I hope she shows that to you in more detail some other time, because they totally rock. Of course you can do this with a good pair of scissors, but it will be more time consuming. Our mesh was a bit uneven -like lopsided or something- but it doesn't have to affect the end result. Or so we hope, especially because the one pictured is meant for something important.

Now Marian will explain to you how she made it.

As marox has already told you, the first thing you have to do is to cut all the pieces, carefully cutting all the sharp edges. When you're done, you have to go around each piece with the thread. You can watch here how I did it.

Once this step is done, it's time to 'sew' all the pieces together: join the piece of the base to the ones at the sides, and after that, all these ones between them. You have to do this the same way as you watched before, but this time take with the needle and thread the two pieces together, giving it the shape it'll have afterwards.
And to finish, you have to join the handle to two opposite side pieces, preferably the two longest ones.
I know all this explanation could be a little bit confusing, so it's better for you to see some photos of the process.

Did you like it? If so, I encourage you to make one. I assure you that making it is easier than explaining the making off.

Edit: Here's a picture of the original napkin holder that inspired our soap baskets. Ours are hanging from a ribbon, strand or similar -attach yours by that to your sponge holder or anywhere you can in your shower cubicle.

I've been meaning to write my weekly summary of this week's news for a while, but I've been busy with my German exam (I'll have the Speaking on June 15th), flamenco rehearsals almost daily and so on. I don't know if you find these entries interesting, but I like writing them all the same, and anyway, this is the 'Independent Republic of our Blog', lol.

This week's (inter)national news had to be the 'cucumber crisis'. Germany -the Hamburg region- and other European countries like Sweden have had several cases of food poisoning caused by E. Coli, a bacteria often associated with fecal contamination. And what does it have to do with Spain? That's what I'm wondering too, but the fact that Spain -the province of Almeria in particular- is often referred to as 'Europe's vegetable garden' meant we got the shortest straw, so to speak.

For some reason, Frau Cornelia reached the conclusion, completely unfounded and with no evidence whatsoever to back her claims, that the culprits had to be... cucumbers.... Spanish cucumbers in particular. As we say in Spanish, an idiot is wanted to put the blame on.

As a consumer, it pains me to throw away a single food item either because I miscalculated and bought too much or because it has taken me too long to use it, even if it's a single orange. I've had my eyes full of TV footage this week showing tons and tons of healthy vegetables being thrown away, simply because this Frau Cornelia pointed to where the Pyrenees -and for many, Europe- end. Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, who I've always considered a competent lady, did not intervene. Was it her personal 'vendetta' for those undiplomatic words our President Zapatero uttered 'Angela Merkel is a failure'?. That's a bit rich coming from him, a bit like the kettle calling the frying pan dirty bottom.

After the local and/or regional electoral fiasco, our government is focusing their attention on choosing a candidate willing to set himself up as a martyr in the general elections expected for 2012 and did not defend our farmers and their products with the force the occassion demanded.

After all, since the economic crisis began, 'only' 450,000 businesses have disappeared and the German government will neither apologize nor compensate the Spanish growers for the economic losses and damage to the prestige of their products. They will merely carry out a campaign to promote Spanish products.

I honestly doubt they would have put the blame on say, Sarkozy's France and managed to get away with it.

Trivia: In Spain, when you want to say you don't care, don't give a toss/damn about something, we say that something 'matters to us a cucumber (or a pepper)'. A context or providing examples usually helps with idioms. Let me give you one: 'Our cucumbers matter to our polititians a cucumber'. See?.

After the elections, some town councils and regional governments are already changing hands, with mayors and town councilors ensuring they leave the premises clean and tidy. So 'clean' that in some places they're disposing of 'private?' documents in king-sized garbage bags and vans. How efficient! I don't know about you, but I feel tempted to invite them to tidy up my room or closet, because that's one house chore I'm always lazy at... But, please not the way they're doing it... at 3 a.m!!

Caption: GlobalColor - In support of Spanish produce: With every purchase, we'll give you a cucumber. 'We're with you, cucumber'.

But going back to the topic on this post, luckily for us, ordinary citizens do care about our poor cucumbers. Today, on the way back from the Post Office to send Amigas Makeup the giveaway prize -with a 'stopover' at Bustillo, i.e.: Essence- I found this poster in full display at a shopwindow (a place selling painters' supplies for home décor) and snapped a quick shot with my mobile because I thought it would be perfect to illustrate my summary of this week's news.

And these two bloggers had a home-made gazpacho (with its customary cucumber) for lunch as a starter today.

"Mi no entender".

In sports, our Nadal won another Roland Garros Grand Slam, with its share of scandal, with the French audience hurling insults and booing at him for no reason. Je ne comprends pas.

As I'm writing this, I'm watching the F1 Practise 3/Qualifying to be held again in Canada, after several years off the circuit. Let's see how our Nano and his Prancing Horse do, because depending on the week and track it resembles a donkey -to my utter dismay. He ended on P2 at the Monaco Grand Prix, but P1 is playing very hard to get.
