Sorpresa de Navidad - Christmas surprise.

¡Feliz Año Nuevo a todas!

Este año entre marox y yo no ha habido grandes secretos a la hora de comprar los regalos de Navidad (sobre todo algunos de ellos), pero me tenía reservada una sorpresa para mantener la emoción de abrir un regalo sin saber lo que es.
Esta sorpresa hay que anunciarla como es debido, así que me voy a poner un poco solemne.

This year there have no big secrets between marox and me regarding our Christmas gifts (mainly some of them), but she had a surprise in store for me, to keep the emotion of opening a gift without knowing what it is. This surprise is worth announcing properly (solemn mode On).

Queridas potingueras... (redoble de tambor):
¡Ya se puede comprar Catrice en Burgos! BBBiiiieeeennnn!!!!!
Pero en este caso no en Douglas, sino en Bustillo (donde compramos Essence), y además, sólo en una de sus tiendas.
De momento, sólo están disponibles las ediciones limitadas, pero quién sabe si algún día...

Dear make-up-holics... (drumroll): Now we can find Catrice in Burgos! ... Not at Douglas, but at Bustillo (the local store where we buy Essence), and besides, only at one of their stores. By now, only LEs are available, but who knows if one day...

Bueno, a lo que voy. El regalo sorpresa que marox me hizo esta Navidad fue una paleta de Catrice, de sombras y coloretes. Compró otra distinta para ella, y me dio a elegir.
La verdad es que las dos tienen colores bien bonitos y "ponibles". Aún no la he estrenado, pero seguro que pronto haré algún look con ella (y si me queda bien, lo subiré aquí).
Ahora que estoy pensando, ni siquiera he hecho swatches de ella, así que no sé qué tal pigmentan las sombras. Pero eso tiene fácil solución, y no subiré esta entrada sin haberlos hecho (y mostrado).




Well, let's go to the point. The surprise gift marox gave me this Christmas was an eyeshadow and blush palette from Catrice. She bought a different one for her, and let me choose. The truth is both of them have very nice and wearable shades. I haven't used it yet, but surely I'll make a look soon (and if it looks nice, I'll upload here). Now I'm thinking that I haven't made the swatches, so I don't know about the pigmentation of the eyeshadows. But the solution is very simple, and I'll upload this post when I have made them (and showed).

Bueno, como os prometí, os dejo con los swatches de estas paletas.

Cada una de ellas trae 6 sombras de ojos, 2 coloretes, un lápiz de ojos negro y un aplicador de doble cara: por un lado, la típica esponjita (esa que las buenas potingueras acabamos tirando a la basura); y por otro, un pincel (que no he probado, pero no creo que sea nada digno de mención).

Each one of them has 6 eyeshadows, 2 blushes, an eye pencil and a double-sided applicator: one side has the typical foam (the same one that a good make-up-holic throws it away); the other side has a brush (which I haven't tried yet, but I don't think it's worth mentioning at all).

Ahora tendremos que practicar, a ver si conseguimos algún look bueno para subir.

Nuestras paletas de Beauties Factory – Our Beauties Factory palettes.

Hace poco, marox os enseñaba las paletas que había pedido a Beauties Factory para ella y para Marian. Se trata de unas paletas vacías para 30 sombras, en las que caben sombras del mismo diámetro que las de Essence, Basic, KIKO (aunque de esta marca no tenemos ninguna... de momento), Carlo di Roma, etc.

Os dijo en su momento que ya os las presentaría como es debido. Pues bien, ya es hora.

A few weeks ago, marox showed you the palettes she ordered from Beauties Factory for both herself and Marian. They're two empty palettes for 30 eyeshadows, with the same diameter as those from Essence, Basic, KIKO (even though we don't have any eyeshadow of this brand... by now), Carlo di Roma and so on.

She told you then that she would show them to you as they deserve. OK, the time has come.

Teníamos depotadas sombras de Essence en otra paleta casera (un estuche de lata de los que venden en las tiendas multiprecio), y ahora, las hemos llevado a su nueva ubicación.

We had depotted Essence eyeshadows into a home-made palette (a metallic pencil-case we bought at a multiprice store), and now, we have taken them to their new home.

Las paletas no están imantadas. En los huecos para las sombras, tienen un trocito de cinta adhesiva de doble cara para que las sombras se queden pegadas. No es que les hayamos dado mucho trote, pues aún nos quedan de pasar sombras, pero parece que aguantan bien. Y si no, no hay problema: tenemos más cinta de doble cara.

These palettes are not magnetized. There is a piece of double-sided adhesive tape in each hole, to keep the eyeshadows firmly in place. We haven't used them an awful lot yet, as we still have to 'move' some shadows, but they're still there, lol. If not, there's no problem: we have more double-sided adhesive tape.

La paleta de Marian tiene ahora más sombras de las que aparecen en la foto, y todavía faltan de poner más (las últimas que compró).

Now Marian's palette has more eyeshadows than those appearing in the pic, and there will be more soon (the last ones she bought).
