Pues sí, hace poco mi madre tuvo que ir a Salamanca (o como dice Bliur, Charrotown) al médico y aprovechando que allí hay Beautik *ver entrada*, pues le hice un pequeño encargo. Le preparé una estupenda lista de la compra, con fotos y todo tipo de detalles -vamos, con naranjitas, como decimos aquí- sobre lo que quería. No eran muchas cosas, pero evidentemente, no quería que mi pobre madre se volviera loca en la tienda buscando lo que le había pedido.

Yes, my mum had to go to Salamanca for a check-up with her doctor and since there's a Beautik store there *see related post*, I asked her to please get me a couple of things. I gave her a nice shopping list, with pictures and info about what I wanted. It wasn't much, but I obviously didn't want my poor mother to go crazy looking for my goodies.
Le pedí unas cuantas cosillas de las que me había encaprichado y que tenía (tiempo pasado) en la wishlist: dos de los topcoats de la colección Remix your Style de Essence y una crema de manos. Me apetecía probar una de las de la EL Little Bakery, pero como estaban agotadas, me trajo una diferente a la que yo tenía de la línea normal.
I asked her to bring me a few things I was lemming after that were (notice the past tense) in my wishlist: two of the effects topcoats released with the Remix your Style from Essence and a hand cream. I really wanted to try one of the creams from the Little Bakery TE, but they were all sold out so she brought me another one from the standard range, different from the one I already had.
Ya sé que en Salamanca también hay Kiko, además de un H&M que vende cosméticos, pero mi madre ya me había insinuado que no me iba a cobrar el encargo, así que no era plan de abusar.
I do know there are other great stores in Salamanca, such as Kiko or an H&M that sells cosmetics, but my dear mother had hinted that she was not going to charge me anything for the order and taking unfair advantage of that would have been wrong.
Y mirad qué estuvimos preparando mi madre y yo ayer por la tarde. Bendita Thermomix, sin ella, jamás nos habríamos atrevido a hacer un Roscón de Reyes y ya van como cinco años que lo hacemos.
Marian preparó el suyo también, pero para llevarlo al trabajo y compartirlo con sus compañeros del turno de noche.

And this is what my mum and I were up to in the kitchen yesterday evening. God bless Thermomix. Without it, we'd never dare prepare the famous Spanish Kings' Cake and now this is probably our fifth year.
Marian did hers too, though in her case, it was to take away and share it with her workmates from the night shift.
