Beautik: Apertura de tienda online / New online store

¡Hola!

Quizá ya lo sepáis, pero yo lo acabo de descubrir gracias al último post de ENIX *aquí*. Beautik, la cadena de perfumerías preferida por muchas, por la variedad de marcas disponibles, en las que la calidad no está reñida con el precio, dispone ya de tienda online.

This post may not come as a surprise for some Spanish readers, but I just found out thanks to ENIX latest blogpost *here*. Beautik is the place to go for the widest range of budget-friendly makeup brands here in Spain and to make your shopping experience even better, they now have an online store.

Personalmente, tan sólo he comprado en Beautik en tienda física (*Salamanca*), así que no os puedo hablar de aspectos como rapidez en el envío y demás.
A primera vista, os dejo mi apreciación personal de los pros y los contras.

I have only made my purchases at one of Beautik's brick & mortar stores (*Salamanca*), so I cannot speak from experience in terms of delivery times and so on.
At first glance, these are my thoughts on the pros & cons.

PROS:

- Variedad de marcas disponibles: Essence, Catrice, NYX, Prestige, Eco Tools, Layla, Sally Hansen, etc.
- Varias formas de pago: tarjeta de crédito, transferencia bancaria (Banesto).
- Gastos de envío gratis a partir de 50€ (el pedido mínimo son 10€).

PROS:

- Great assortment of brands: Essence, Catrice, NYX, Prestige, Eco Tools, Layla, Sally Hansen, etc.
- Several methods of payment available: credit card, wire transfer (Banesto).
- Free shipping for orders >50€ (minimum order amount is 10 EUR).

CONTRAS:

- No se puede pagar por Paypal
- Los gastos de envío dependen del lugar de residencia: península, Baleares o Canarias.
- El envío mediante Correos sólo está disponible para los pedidos de Canarias, Ceuta y Melilla.
- ¿Pedidos internacionales?

CONS:

- No Paypal payment available.
- Shipping costs vary depending on location: mainland Spain, the Balearic or Canary Islands.
- Shipping with the Spanish postal service is only available for orders from the Canaries, Ceuta and Melilla.
- No international orders?

Pues sí, hace poco mi madre tuvo que ir a Salamanca (o como dice Bliur, Charrotown) al médico y aprovechando que allí hay Beautik *ver entrada*, pues le hice un pequeño encargo. Le preparé una estupenda lista de la compra, con fotos y todo tipo de detalles -vamos, con naranjitas, como decimos aquí- sobre lo que quería. No eran muchas cosas, pero evidentemente, no quería que mi pobre madre se volviera loca en la tienda buscando lo que le había pedido.

Yes, my mum had to go to Salamanca for a check-up with her doctor and since there's a Beautik store there *see related post*, I asked her to please get me a couple of things. I gave her a nice shopping list, with pictures and info about what I wanted. It wasn't much, but I obviously didn't want my poor mother to go crazy looking for my goodies.

Le pedí unas cuantas cosillas de las que me había encaprichado y que tenía (tiempo pasado) en la wishlist: dos de los topcoats de la colección Remix your Style de Essence y una crema de manos. Me apetecía probar una de las de la EL Little Bakery, pero como estaban agotadas, me trajo una diferente a la que yo tenía de la línea normal.




I asked her to bring me a few things I was lemming after that were (notice the past tense) in my wishlist: two of the effects topcoats released with the Remix your Style from Essence and a hand cream. I really wanted to try one of the creams from the Little Bakery TE, but they were all sold out so she brought me another one from the standard range, different from the one I already had.




Ya sé que en Salamanca también hay Kiko, además de un H&M que vende cosméticos, pero mi madre ya me había insinuado que no me iba a cobrar el encargo, así que no era plan de abusar.

I do know there are other great stores in Salamanca, such as Kiko or an H&M that sells cosmetics, but my dear mother had hinted that she was not going to charge me anything for the order and taking unfair advantage of that would have been wrong.

Y mirad qué estuvimos preparando mi madre y yo ayer por la tarde. Bendita Thermomix, sin ella, jamás nos habríamos atrevido a hacer un Roscón de Reyes y ya van como cinco años que lo hacemos.
Marian preparó el suyo también, pero para llevarlo al trabajo y compartirlo con sus compañeros del turno de noche.

¡Qué paséis un feliz día de Reyes!

And this is what my mum and I were up to in the kitchen yesterday evening. God bless Thermomix. Without it, we'd never dare prepare the famous Spanish Kings' Cake and now this is probably our fifth year.
Marian did hers too, though in her case, it was to take away and share it with her workmates from the night shift.

Compras en Beautik y KIKO Salamanca

Por aclamación popular, mientras Marian está ordenando los chuaches de los esmaltes de Marox por gamas de colores, os subimos unas fotos con las compritas de hoy en Salamanca.
Como indicábamos en el post de presentación de la nueva tienda de Beautik, aún no tenían todos los productos. Por ejemplo, de Catrice tenían algunos de los nuevos esmaltes (el 'Sir, yes Sir') pero no otros como el 'Iron Mermaiden' ni para nuestro pesar, el 'Dirty Berry' ni el 'Sand Francisco', a los que les teníamos echado el ojo -marox, al menos.
De Nyx tendrían aproximadamente veinte tonos de barras de labios y de brillos. Nos gustaron los labiales 'Medusa' y 'Lala'. La verdad es que se agradece poder probar los colores en la tienda y así evitar llevarte sorpresas, como suele suceder cuando compras por Internet. Por mucho 'chuache' que veas, hasta cierto punto vas a ciegas.
Casi mejor que no tengan todos los productos, así es más fácil no pasarse del presupuesto potinguil y da tiempo a usar y estrenar los que tenemos.

By public demand, while Marian is sorting Marox's nailpolishes by colour on her nailwheels, we thought it would be a good idea to share with you what we got in Salamanca today.

As we mentioned in our previous post where we introduced the new Beautik store, they don't have the entire range of some brands and need to restock others. From Catrice, they did have some of the newest releases (like 'Sir, yes Sir') but they didn't have others like 'Iron Mermaiden' nor to our regret 'Dirty Berry' or 'Sand Francisco', which we wanted to check out.
As for Nyx, they had about twenty lipsticks and lipglosses. We liked the lippies in 'Medusa' and 'Lala', but didn't get them. We appreciated the luxury of being able to try the different products and colours at the store and therefore avoid surprises, as usually happens when you buy something over the Internet. To a certain extent, you're always buying blind.
It's just as well they didn't have everything yet, so as not to stray from your allotted budget and have the time to go through your untrieds.

Os dejo unas fotos de las compras de Marox.

Las placas de Marox con más detalle. Como véis, ha caído una de Konad. La verdad es que teniendo las de Essence al lado tan baratitas, daba un poco de dolor de bolsillo. Pero era taan bonita. Es la M64 y me había llamado la atención hace tiempo. También hay una con unas notas musicales, que no sé si tenían, que es superbonita. Pero puesto que aún estamos iniciándonos con esto de la estampación, con estas estamos requeteservidas.

And now another one with the image plates in detail. As you can see, one from Konad into the basket went. The truth is having the Essence ones right next to them, the extra money hurt the wallet a bit. But it was sooo beautiful. It's M64 and had caught my eye some time ago. There's another one with music notes, which I don't know if they had, that is terribly beautiful as well. But since we're still pretty much novice at stamping, these babies will be more than enough for the time being.

Y ahora le toca el turno a las compras de Marian, que como véis también ha arrasado en Beautik. En su caso, compró un esmalte azul oscuro de Sinful Colors y otro azul de la línea Show your Feet de Essence. Como véis, siente cierta predilección por los esmaltes pitufo.

And now it's time to see what Marian got, who also did some damage at Beautik. As for her, she bought a dark blue from Sinful Colors and another one from the Show your Feet line from Essence. She's fond of smurf shades, as you can tell from her purchases.

Aquí te pillo, aquí te mato. Así se podría decir que ha sido esta visita a Salamanca para conocer la nueva tienda de cosmética low-cost. No teníamos muy claro si había abierto ya y como en la página web de Beautik ya no ponía "próxima apertura" en la entrada correspondiente a la tienda de Salamanca, nos decidimos a comprobarlo por nosotras mismas esta mañana.

Right here, right now. We didn't need any encouragement to go to Salamanca and check out the latest Beautik low-cost make-up store to be opened. We were not all quite sure whether it was already open but as the where to find us section on their corporate website no longer listed this as 'opening soon', we decided to take the risk and check it out for ourselves this morning.

Y sí, sí que estaba abierta y funcionando a pleno rendimiento. El Beautik de la capital charra abrió sus puertas el pasado jueves día 30 de junio, según nos informó una de las dependientas, que muy amablemente accedió a que sacáramos fotos de la tienda para el blog. ¡Muchas gracias!

And indeed it was, and working full-steam. The store opened last Thursday, June 30th, as one of the shop assistants kindly told us. She also agreed to our taking some pictures of the store for the blog. Thanks!

Aún no han recibido todos los productos que tendrán a la venta y otras cosas estaban agotadas, porque como podréis imaginar, la tienda está teniendo una excelente acogida.

They haven't received all the products available yet and a few others were already sold out, because the store is fast becoming terribly popular.

Y sin enrollarme más, os dejo con las fotos que tomó Marian, en calidad de paparazzi oficial. Le faltó hacer fotos de algunos kits de cuidado corporal y de las placas de Konad. Quizá en otra visita, porque sospecho que no será la última vez que vayamos a Beautik.
La tienda tiene un tamaño bastante majo y está muy bien aprovechada, sin dar la sensación de estar todo "atrojado".

And without further ado, here are the pics Marian snapped, as our official paparazzi. She missed only a couple of displays, namely the body care and Konad plates. Maybe we'll do that on another visit, as I suspect we'll be going back there in the future.

The store is reasonably big and well-planned, without giving the impression of everything being crammed.

Noticia de última hora / Breaking News

Beautik, la nueva cadena de perfumerías que se está extendiendo por España a pasos agigantados, conocida principalmente por ser uno de los pocos sitios que vende productos de Nyx, Catrice, Sally Hansen y Sinful Colours aquí, tiene prevista la apertura de una nueva tienda en Salamanca, o lo que es lo mismo, a una horita de mi tierra natal.
Preveo excursión veraniega y su correspondiente 'haul', aunque sea en Bus. Las palabras Salamanca centro, verano y aparcar nunca van juntas en la misma frase. ¡¡Biennn!!. Habrá que ir cuando abran, para que estén los muebles bien surtidos.. Estos salmantinos siempre se lo llevan todo, menuda potra: Kiko, un péazo Corte Inglés con una sección de cosméticos 'pá morirse'...
Lo gracioso es que encima se quejan de que es Valladolid la que se lo lleva todo. En fin, supongo que nunca llueve a gusto de todos.
Según su blog, la nueva tienda estará situada en la Calle Zamora (en pleno centro, ¡qué más queremos!), junto a la Calle del Arco -que no 'Azco' como dice en la página y la apertura está prevista para comienzos de julio. En esa misma calle, si mal no recuerdo (es que siempre confundo la Calle Toro con la Calle Zamora) hay un H&M que vende cosméticos y que nunca he podido cotillear a gusto cuando he ido.
Intentaré subir una foto con la localización aproximada de la futura tienda.




Beautik, the new chain of cosmetics dealers that is rapidly expanding throughout Spain, is opening a new store in Salamanca, that is to say, an hour away from my home town. Beautik is one of the few -if not the only one- places selling Nyx, Catrice, Sally Hansen and Sinful Colours here.
Expect a summer trip there with some 'hauling'. We can even get the bus, because the words 'Salamanca city centre' 'parking' and 'summer' seldom go together in the same sentence. Yipeee!!! We'll have to go there around the opening date, so all the displays are well stocked and ready to be raided rather than raided already.
The new store will open in early July according to their blog and will be situated in Calle Zamora, near the Calle del Arco -in the heart of Salamanca-. I think there's an H&M store in the same street or in Calle Toro - I tend to confuse them- that sells cosmetics, one that I've never been able to explore calmly whenever we go there. I'll try to upload a street map caption with the estimated location.
It's not fair that all good stores in the region always end up in Salamanca, they have Kiko, a new and huge El Corte Inglés Department Store with a cosmetics aisle to die for... And yet they have the nerve to complain that Valladolid, the capital of the Castille-Leon region gets it all. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.
