Estamos en abril, primavera y mes del autismo, un trastorno que se cree que afecta a una de cada 10.000 personas. En varios blogs, varias chicas (Nailnoir, Abby, etc) han dedicado una manicura a llamar la atención al respecto, así que aquí estamos yo y un esmalte pitufo, que es el más cantoso de toda mi colección. Lo he usado muy pocas veces en las manos, casi siempre cuando he llevado las uñas más cortas si alguna se me había roto. En los pies sí que lo habré usado más.
We're in April, it's spring and also Autism awareness month. Autism is a disorder that is believed to affect one out of 10,000 people. Several bloggers (Nailnoir, Abby, etc) have created a mani to increase awareness about it, so here we are, me and one of my smurf polishes, definitely the boldest in my stash. I've seldom used this in my fingers, usually when my nails were shorter because of a breakage, but rather on my toes.
Conocí la marca Ivsty como casi todas las españolas potiadictas, gracias a un video de Isasaweis que había probado un par de esmaltes de esta marca y sorprendida de lo bien que funcionaban, fue corriendo a por más. Es una marca que en España se vende en tiendas multiprecio o 'de los chinos'. Existen varios formatos de estos esmaltes, aunque los que mejor funcionan son los que tienen este envase -de los cuadrados hablan bastante mal. El precio varía según la tienda donde los compréis. Los míos me costaron 0,75 €. Compré otro igual para mi hermana y un morado con brillos plata que ya os enseñaré más adelante.
I heard about the brand Ivsty like most Spanish makeupholics, thanks to a video from the lovely Isasaweis who had tried a couple of polishes from this brand and marvelled at how well they did, went running back out for more. This brand is sold in Spain at Euro stores or 'Chinese stores' and has different ranges and formats, though the ones with this bottle work best -the square ones are reportedly said to be crap. Price varies depending on the store, but mine were €0.75 each. I got another bottle of this shade for my sister and a purple with silver glass flecks I'll show you some other time.
Al tratarse de un tono bastante pigmentado y de un color muy fuerte, no os recomiendo que lo apliquéis sin base. Yo la uso siempre, me pinte con el esmalte que me pinte, pero ya sabéis que los tonos azules y verdes en particular os pueden dejar un recuerdo desagradable en vuestras uñitas si no lo hacéis. **Y no miro a nadie**
Después de una capa de base, apliqué otra generosa de este esmalte y otra de Seche Vite. La duración en mi caso, lo normal, tres días en condiciones. Las fotos de los chuaches no son muy allá porque las hice yo con mi pequeña gran cámara. Las retocó mi hermana con gimp para que el color quedara más real, ya que estos tonos suelen ser una pesadilla a la hora de fotografiar y éste no fue la excepción. La primera está sacada con flash y la segunda sin, aunque creo que es evidente. Me hubiera gustado probar con la Réflex de mi hermana, pero cuando tuvo tiempo de hacerme fotos el esmalte ya estaba en las últimas.
Since this is a heavily pigmented shade and a very in-your-face colour, I strongly recommend that you use a base coat. I always use it, no matter what polish I'm wearing, but you know that blue and green shades can leave you a very nasty memory in your nubbins if you skip it **And I'm not thinking about anyone in particular**.
After my base coat, I applied one thickish coat of this one and then another one of Seche Vite. Durability in my case was the usual three days, decent looking. The swatch pics are so-so because I took them myself with my big small camera. My sister edited them with gimp to make them more colour accurate, as these shades are usually a nightmare to photograph and this was no exception. One was taken with the flashlight on and the other one without it, as you have probably noticed. I would have liked to try my sister's DSLR but by the time she had some time to spare for a few shots this polish was no longer looking its best.
Por lo demás, el pincel se trabaja bien y la aplicación es buena. La única pega que le pongo a estos esmaltes es que con la forma tan extraña que tiene el bote, no soy capaz de cerrarlos bien y siempre me queda el tapón torcido. Si os fijáis en el video de Isabel, a ella le pasa igual.
Anyway, the brush is nice and so is application. The only downside to these polishes is the odd-shaped bottle with makes it impossible for me to screw them right after using them. The bottle cap is always crooked, lol! Isabel has the same problem if you pay attention to the video.

P.D. Teniendo en cuenta que hoy es la final de la Copa del Rey entre el F.C. Barcelona y el Real Madrid, con este color, creo que queda claro quien quiero que gane. ¡ Baaarcçaaa ! ¿Sonará el Waka-Waka en Mestalla?
P.S.: Considering it's the King's Cup final tonight between F.C. Barcelona and Real Madrid, with this colour there's no doubt which one I'll be rooting for. Baaarcçaaaa ! Will they play the 'Waka-Waka' at Mestalla Stadium, I wonder.

Edito: Perdimos, por lo que no hubo Waka Waka ni celebración alguna. Pero como Sergio Ramos rompió la Copa, dudo que el Real Madrid vuelva a ganarla en mucho tiempo. ¡El que no se consuela es porque no quiere!
Edit: We lost, so there was no Waka Waka or celebration whatsoever. But since Sergio Ramos broke the Cup -or rather dropped it and the RM bus ran over it, lol-, I doubt Real Madrid will win it again. You know, every dark cloud has a silver lining!
