Mis regalos y autorregalos de cumpleaños / Birthday gifts

¡Hola de nuevo!
¿Os apetece cotillear lo que me han regalado y me he regalado por mi reciente cumpleaños!
Pues seguid leyendo.

1- Kit ADN de *MyHeritage*: Sólo faltaba yo de hacerme el test en la familia y Marian me lo regaló. Pidió que me lo enviaran a mí directamente. Mandé mi muestra el día 4 de abril.
Haré una entrada dedicada sobre mi experiencia.

2 - Pigmento Focallure de Aliexpress: Marian me compró este pigmento en un tono tornasolado de esos que tanto me gustan.
No trae 'stopper' con agujeritos, así que tendré que ir con cuidado cuando lo use.
Os recuerdo que las transacciones en Aliexpress os pueden generar cashback (*Topcashback* es la que más suele dar).

3 - Bálsamo desmaquillante casero (hecho por Marian): No os preocupéis, que en breve compartirá la receta con todas vosotras. Me vino muy bien, porque el que me había comprado yo aún estaba de camino desde Corea.



4 - Impermeable rojo (mercadillo local): Mis padres me regalaron este impermeable en una reciente visita al mercadillo local. Marian se compró otro en otro tono. Costó 29€ y es la talla M. La capucha cubre bien la cabeza, no como otras prendas que te queda a medio tapar. No sé si se aprecia muy bien en la foto, pero tiene lunares pequeñitos.
Ya lo he estrenado y la verdad es que daba calor, ya que el material es como de plástico, que al fin y al cabo es el material más impermeable que existe.

Con el dinero que me dieron, me compré alguna cosilla, que luego os enseño.

Y por mi parte, me autorregalé lo siguiente:

1 - Bálsamo desmaquillante de moringa de ENature: El de Heimish ya va por la mitad y me gusta tener repuesto de lo que voy terminando. El envío ha sido bastante lento, hasta el punto de tocar fondo en el de Heimish sin que me hubiera llegado éste.
Contiene sólo 75 gramos y me costó 22,06€ (vendedor goodplaza). No recibí ninguna muestra.

Le tenía echado el ojo a una paleta de W7, aunque al final piqué con lo siguiente:

2 - Paleta de sombras Imagic de Aliexpress: Sumando el envío, esta paleta cuesta 6,48€.
Para el uso diario, las paletas resultan más prácticas que las sombras individuales. Esa ha sido mi excusa.
A ver si llega pronto, que ya está tardando.

3 - Brocha imitación Ita de Nars: Dudé entre comprarme una brocha tipo abanico, que algunas parecían aparatosas de guardar y al final me acordé de ésta, de la que todo el mundo hablaba hace unos años. Eso sí, ni de broma estaría dispuesta a gastarme lo que vale la original. La imitación además es de pelo sintético, mientras que en la auténtica es de cabra.  Quiero usarlo para el iluminador y quizá la pruebe también para colorete.
Lo cierto es que primero la pedí por Aliexpress- costaba 2,10€-, pero el vendedor ha cancelado el pedido sin explicación, así que la acabo de pedir por Ebay.

4 - Paleta de sombras 'Everchanging' de Focallure, de Aliexpress también: Con envío incluído, la paleta cuesta 4,25€. El vendedor ha tardado bastante en procesar el pedido, pero curiosamente, fue lo primero en llegar.
Os dejo un par de fotos para abrir boca, pero  prometo un post especial con chuaches de esta paleta tan popular.
Algunos tonos mates son polvorientos, pero lo cierto es que por lo general pigmenta de maravilla. Ya la he usado dos veces y de momento muy contenta.

Con el dinerito que recibí, me compré unas zapatillas para el verano.

5 -  Zapatillas de Deichmann: Costaron 19,90€. No traen la suela con Memory Foam como sí otros modelos de esta tienda, así que he aprovechado otras que tenía. Resulta que mi número, el 39, está agotado en toda España. El modelo que sí las traía, estaba agotado en mi número también. No es la primera vez que me pasa en esta tienda.
Las llevé una tarde por casa con calcetines para que se fueran adaptando y no me hicieran daño, ya que acostumbro a llevarlas sin calcetines. Sólo he tenido ocasión de usarlas un día después de eso y de momento, bien.

6 - Pulsera para Miband 1S: Digamos que ésto no es un capricho sino más bien una necesidad. La que tenía está en las últimas, ya que en alguna ocasión se me ha salido la Miband. Ya de paso, he querido probar un sistema diferente.
El envío ha sido muy rápido: la pedí el día 30 de abril y me llegó el 15 de mayo.

Y aparte de esto, tengo pendiente de recibir un pequeño pedido a Buyincoins con un par de tonterías.
Y puesto que mis existencias de perfume van menguando, puede que me compre uno.

Wanna take a peek into my birthday presents and the stuff I treated myself to?
Then read on.

1 - *MyHeritage* DNA Kit: I'm the last one in the family taking the test and Marian bought me the kit to do it. She had it delivered directly to me. I sent my sample on April 4th.
I'll write a dedicated post to my experience when the time comes.

2 - Focallure pigment from Aliexpress: My sister knows how much I love duochrome shades like this and got me this pigment. It doesn't have a stopper, so I'll have to be extra careful when I use it.
Quick reminder: You can get cashback from your Aliexpress orders (*Topcashback* is usually the most generous site).

3 - DIY Cleansing Balm (made by Marian): Don't worry, she'll soon be sharing the recipe with you all. This was very handy, as the one I'd ordered myself was still on its way from Korea.

4 -  Red rainproof coat (local flea market): My parents wanted to give me something and got this during a recent visit to one of the local flea markets. Marian bought herself another one in a different colour. It was €29 and it's a size M. The hoodie covers my head as it should, unlike similar items that only cover about half.
Don't know if it shows on the pic, but it has small polka dots.
I have used it once and I was sweaty afterwards, as the fabric is like plastic, which undoubtedly is the best waterproof material there is.

And this is what I treated myself to:

1 - Moringa Cleansing Balm from ENature: I was halfway through the Heimish one I'm currently using and I like to keep a backup before the stuff I'm using is done. Shipping was slowlier than usual, to the point I'd hit bottom on the Heimish one before I got the new one.
This only contains 75 ml and cost €22,06 (from seller goodplaza). I didn't get any samples with my order.

I'd had my eye on a W7 palette but ended up getting the following.

2 - Imagic Eyeshadow Palette from Aliexpress. This palette is all the rage right now. Palettes are more convenient for everyday use than singles, that was my excuse to try this.
Adding shipping, this was €6.48.
Hopefully, it won't take much longer to get here.

3 - Fake Nars Ita Brush: I've had my eye on a few fan brushes, but they seemed a bit bulky to store and then I remembered about this brush and all the hype there was about it a few years ago. There's no way I'd splurge on the real thing and besides, the bristles on this are synthetic while the real one is goat hair. I intend to use this for highlighter (which I seldom use) or even blush.
Here's the thing: I originally ordered this from Aliexpress - adding shipping, this was only €2.10, but the seller cancelled shipment without any explanation, so I ordered it again, now off eBay.

4 - Focallure 'Everchanging' Eyeshadow Palette: This was €4.25, with free shipping.
Processing time by the seller took a while, but surprisingly it was the first item I got.
Here are a couple teasers. You'll have a dedicated blog with swatches soon.
Some matte shades are a bit crumbly, but on the whole, the colour payoff in this palette is outstanding and I've already used it twice. So far, so good.

And with the cash I got, I bought myself a pair of summer sneakers.

5 - Deichmann sneakers: These were €19.90. They don't have memory foam insoles, as others from this store, so I had to reuse another pair. You see, my size, 39, is sold out nationwide and the other model I like which had them was not available in my size either. unfortunately, this is not the first time that's happened to me at this store.
I wore them first at home with some thick socks, as I wear these on bare feet.
The current weather has only allowed me to wear them once after that and I had no issues.

6 - Replacement stainless steel and silicone strap for Xiaomi MiBand 1S: This was actually something I really needed, as my existing strap was beginning to fail in effectively securing the MiBand. It was the perfect occasion to try a different kind of strap. 
Shipping was really fast, as I ordered this on April 30th and got this on May 15th.  

And besides all this, I'm awaiting a small order from Buyincoins with a couple of knick knacks. And given the fact my fragrance stash is running low, I may get myself a new one.

Compras Vitacost y Buyincoins

Hola, chicas:

Aquí vengo a enseñaros mis compras en estas dos tiendas.

1 - Compras en Vitacost:

- Desodorante de Queen Helene con extracto de menta: Tiene un precio en la web de 3,69 dólares. Es de los desodorantes naturales más económicos. No contiene sales de aluminio ni glicol de propileno. He tenido una especie de sarpullido (que resultó ser psoriasis) en las axilas y durante unos días estuve utilizando otro de otra marca. Temí que estuviera dando reacción o algo y me daba pena porque me gustan y tengo unos cuantos de reserva.
Pasado lo peor del brote, he vuelto a usarlos sin problema.

-  Loción para manos y cuerpo de Jäsön con aloe vera: La compré para mi madre. La otra se la dejó en Zamora. En la farmacia casi todo lo que le vendían tenía una composición bastante regulera. Tiene un precio de 6,69 dólares. Ésta no la ha estrenado aún, aunque sé que la otra le gustó.



- Champú con biotina y bambú de Nature's Gate: El Boo Bamboo que estoy usando ahora mismo estaba agotado, así que probaré éste a ver qué tal. Trae más cantidad y es más barato. Ya os contaré cuando lo use.
Ahora mismo lo tienen a 4,14 dólares, más barato aún de lo que me costó.

-  Aceite de argán de Acure Organics: Lo tenían a tan sólo 4,99 dólares, así que lo eché al carro. De momento lo he usado un par de veces, sólo y mezclado con otros productos en el rostro.
El envase venía como aceitoso, pero no parecía faltar producto. Lo ideal sería que viniera mejor precintado.

2 - Pedido a Buyincoins: Creo que hacía un par de años que no pedía nada a esta web china. Me alegra saber que devuelve cashback con Topcashback.
Pedí alguna cosa más, pero os enseño lo que creo que más os puede interesar.

- Brochas para ojos: Tenía alguna un poco viejita y pedí éstas. No están mal, aunque creo que de momento, me han gustado más las brochas de rostro de esta tienda que las de ojos. Son tres modelos diferentes de brochas, aunque la forma de dos de ellas es muy, muy similar.

Bueno, eso ha sido todo por el momento. Contadnos en los comentarios qué soleis comprar en estas tiendas.

Here I am to show you my latest purchases at these two online stores.

1 - Vitacost Haul:

- Mint Julep Queen Helene deodorant: Available for $3.69. It is one of the cheapest natural deodorants out there. It does not contain aluminium or propylene glycol.
A few weeks ago I had a rash in my armpits and am using another version from the same brand but switched to a different deodorant altogether. The rash turned out to be a new plaque of psoriasis, so this was not the culprit. I'm glad because these are nice and I still have a few backups.

-  Aloe Vera hand and body lotion from Jäsön: I bought this for our mum, cause the other one I got her is in our other home in Zamora. Most of the stuff she was offered at the chemist's had a rather poor ingredient list full of junk. This is very affordable at $6,69.
She hasn't used this bottle yet, although I know she likes it.



- Biotin and Bamboo Enriching shampoo from Nature's Gate:  The one I'm currently using from Boo Bamboo was sold out, so I ordered this instead. The bottle is bigger and is cheaper, so let's see how that goes.
Right now it is on sale for just $4.14, cheaper than what I paid when I ordered mine.

- Acure Organics Argan Oil: For just $4.99 I had to order this. So far, I've only used it a couple of times, on its own and blended into other products on my face.
The cardboard packaging was greasy after transit, but the jar seemed full. Ideally, this should come sealed to prevent leaking.

2- Buyincoins Haul: It'd been a couple of years since I last placed an order there. I'm glad to see it's cashback eligible with Topcashback.
I ordered a few more things not pictured, but I was hoping this would pique your interest more.

- Eye brushes: I have a few that show some wear and tear and ordered this. They're nice, although I'd say I've been more impressed with the face brushes that I've tried from them. These are three different eye brushes, although it would seem two of them are the same, as the bristles have the same shape.

Nuestras brochas de maquillaje de Buyincoins / Our Buyincoins Makeup Brushes

¡Hola!

Hoy venimos con una reseña un poquito diferente, ya que no se trata de un producto de cuidado facial o de maquillaje, sino de un elemento indispensable a la hora de maquillarnos: las brochas.

No nos gusta gastar demasiado en brochas, especialmente ahora que hay bastantes alternativas.

Aunque no tenemos demasiadas brochas de Buyincoins, sí que nos gustaría hablaros un poco en detalle de ellas, especialmente puesto que hemos dejado de enseñaros los pedidos que hemos seguido haciendo a esta tienda online china -más espaciados que antes.

Brochas recomendadas:

- Brochas tipo "Yachiyo de NARS": Oficialmente se llama 'Pro Cosmetic Goat Hair Makeup Rattan Brush'. Se trata de unas brochas cuyo mango de madera sin tratar está forrado de una especie de fibra, de ratán, por lo visto. Las cerdas presentan un corte en punta y son muy suavecitas.
Existen dos versiones de *esta brocha*, una en color blanco y otra negra. No obstante, como véis en las fotos no se diferencian sólo en el color del mango y las cerdas, el corte también es diferente.
Tenemos las dos, la blanca (marox) y la negra (marian). Marox suele utilizar esta brocha para difuminar el colorete -vamos, para corregir los excesos en la aplicación y no ir como Heidi por la vida. Ha probado alguna vez la negra, pero si tuviera que escoger sólo una, prefiere la blanca.

- Brocha mofeta tipo "187 de MAC": Ha sido la última adquisición de Marox. Compró sólo una para ver si merecía la pena o era una birria, sin saber que supuestamente era un clon de dicha brocha. La podéis ver *aquí*.
Sólo podemos compararla con la mofeta de KIKO y de momento, ésta de BIC gana por goleada: En su primera lavada no ha desteñido y sólo perdió UN pelo. De la 106 de KIKO mejor no hablo, que a día de hoy -que he lavado para la foto- aún deja pelos en la cara al usarla. Sí, también soltó pelos para la ocasión. Ggrr.
La brocha de Kiko es más pequeña y tiene el mango más corto, como podéis ver.

- Brocha de corte plano tipo 'Everyday Minerals': En la tienda se llama 'Environmental Flat Top Buffer Makeup Bamboo Brush'
Es la brocha que utilizamos para aplicar los polvos translúcidos, pero también el maquillaje mineral. No la he probado con bases o BB Creams. Las cerdas son supersuaves. La de marox vino con unos cuantos pelitos más largos, que cortó facilmente con una tijerita. Nada grave.

Recientemente, incluímos una en un sorteo.

NO recomendamos:

- La brocha de difuminar 'Tapered Blending Eye Shadow Brush': Tenemos dos de *estas brochas* y no son ninguna maravilla. Las cerdas son muy ásperas, de tamaño es quizá demasiado grande como para difuminar una sombra ya aplicada en el párpado. Es aprovechable para aplicar un toque de una sombra más oscura para marcar la V o para destacar las cejas aplicando una sombra blanquita. Al lavarla pierde muchos pelos y no gana tampoco en suavidad.
Sé que la calidad de las brochas puede variar según la remesa, pero por mi parte, reitero lo dicho: que os ahorréis vuestro dinero y NO la compréis.

Hi there!

Today we have a somewhat different review for you, as we won't be reviewing any skincare or makeup items but a few much-needed tools when putting on our makeup: brushes.

We don't really like to splurge on brushes, especially with so many cheap alternatives out there.

Although we don't have an awful lot of Buyincoins brushes, we did want to tell you a little bit more about the ones we do have, especially considering we haven't shared with you previous Buyincoins orders. We don't order from this Chinese online shop as often as we once used to.

Recommended brushes:

- 'NARS-Yachiyolike' brushes: The official name is 'Pro Cosmetic Goat Hair Makeup Rattan Brush' and the handle of these brushes is covered by some (rattan?) fiber to protect the untreated wood underneath. The bristles are pointy and really really soft.
There are two different versions of *this brush*, one in black and another one in white. You'll see in the pictures that the only difference between them is not merely the colour, though.
We own both brushes, the white one (marox) and the black one (marian). Marox likes to use hers to blend out excess blusher -i.e. she wouldn't dare leave the house à la Heidi-.
Marox has occasionally tried the black one though she'd go for the white one if she could only choose one.

- 'MAC 187-like brush: It's been Marox's latest purchase, without knowing it was a knockoff from said brush. She was curious to see if it was any good or was a piece of *hit.
We can only compare *this brush* with our KIKO stippling brush and so far, this cheap brush beats that by a wide margin: the first time we washed this, there was no visible discoloration and only shed ONE bristle. Don't get me started about the 106 KIKO one -which I washed for the picture-, because loose bristles still get on your face when you use it. And yes, it did shed more bristles too. Jeez!
The KIKO one is smaller and has a shorter handle, as you can see.

-Flat top 'Everyday Minerals-like' brush: In the store this goes by the name 'Environmental Flat Top Buffer Makeup Bamboo Brush' .
This is the brush we use to apply translucent powder, as well as mineral makeup. We haven't tried it for foundation or with BB Creams.
The bristles are silky soft. The one marox uses came with a couple of overlong bristles that she trimmed easily, though. No big deal.

We DO NOT recommend:

- The 'Tapered Blending Eye Shadow Brush': We own two of *these* and are nothing to write home about. The bristles are too harsh, it's on the big side to be used for blending a shade that's been already applied. It is 'useable' for applying a pop of a darker colour on the crease or to highlight you brows with an off-white shade. It sheds too many bristles when washing it and doing so makes no difference to the softness of the bristles.
I know the quality of their brushes may change depending on which batch yours is, but still...
In other words, keep your money and DON'T get this brush.

Primer pedido a Abbamart - First Abbamart order.

Hola de nuevo, chicas:

Tenemos el blog un poco abandonado, con unas cuantas entradas en borrador, así que vamos a ver si poco a poco lo actualizamos y vamos publicando cosas.

Os presentamos ahora el pedido que hizo Marox a Abbamart hace ahora un par de meses. (¿Entendéis ahora lo que digo en el primer párrafo?).

Algunos de los pinceles de maquillaje de Marox (y alguno de Marian) estaban ya para pocos trotes, así que pidió estos que vais a ver.



Son 2 pinceles de pelo de cabra para aplicar sombra, otros dos para difuminar (uno de cada para cada una), y un peine doble para cejas y pestañas para Marian, que sustituirá al de Marionnaud, que os enseñó recientemente.

Ya que hacíamos la sesión de fotos de estos pinceles para el blog, se nos ocurrió comparar éstos con el de difuminar sombras de Deliplus (uno de los que Marox tiene ya tan maltrecho).

En cuanto a longitud del mango, no hay mucho que comentar. Como veis en la foto, el mango del de Deliplus es más largo.



Y en cuanto a longitud del pelo, el de aplicar sombra de Abbamart tiene la misma longitud que el de difuminar sombra de Deliplus.
Y comparando éste último con su homólogo de Abbamart..., en fin, sobran las palabras.

Dejando a un lado estas pequeñas diferencias sin importancia, hemos de decir que son pinceles que se manejan muy bien, y su pelo es extrasuave.

En cuanto al precio, no puede ser mejor.
Ninguna de estas brochas superó los 3 dólares. También es cierto que Marox aprovechó un descuento por el Black Friday, en el que además de una rebajilla en el precio de las brochas, también se ahorró los gastos de envío.
Así que hemos decidido que cuando tengamos que renovar alguno más de nuestros pinceles, Abbamart será un sitio a tener muy en cuenta.

The blog is a bit unattended lately, with some posts on queue, waiting to be published, so we hope to update it little by little and post a few entries.

We're showing you now the stuff Marox ordered from Abbamart two months ago (Do you understand now what I meant in the first paragraph?)

Some of Marox's (and also Marian's) makeup brushes were ready for the glue factory, so she ordered these ones you're about to see.

They are two white goat eyeshadow brushes and two fluffy blending brushes (one for each of us), and a lash and brow comb for Marian, to replace the Marionnaud one she showed you recently.

While making the photo shooting of these brushes for the blog, we came up with the idea of comparing them with the blending brush from Deliplus (one of Marox's most beaten-up brushes).

Talking about the length of the handle, there's not much to comment. As you see in the pic, the handle of the Deliplus brush is longer.

As for the bristle length, the eyeshadow brush from Abbamart is the same length as the blending brush from Deliplus.
And comparing this one with its counterpart from Abbamart..., well, no more words. Let the pictures do the talking.




Setting aside these tiny differences with little importance, we must say that these brushes are very handy, and their bristles are extrasoft.

And their price couldn't be better.
None of these brushes cost more than $3.
But to be honest, I must say that Marox seized a special offer for the Black Friday, in which she could also spare the shipping costs, besides the discount the brushes already had for the occasion.
So we've decided to take a look at Abbamart's brush catalogue when we have to replace any more of our brushes.

Nuestro pedido a Buyincoins / Our Buyincoins order

En una de las entradas dedicadas a mi colección de esmaltes, comenté que apenas me quedaban espacios en mis ruedas de muestras y que había hecho un pedido a Buyincoins. A diferencia de las anteriores, en esta ocasión el pedido lo hice no por Ebay sino a la tienda online Buyincoins. Al igual que Ebay, la forma de pago es mediante Paypal, lo que me daba cierta tranquilidad. Bueno, eso y las críticas positivas que he leído últimamente.

In one of my posts featuring my nail polish collection, I mentioned that I was running out of empty spaces in my nailwheels and I let slip that I'd ordered new ones from Buyincoins. Unlike the previous ones, this time around I decided to place my order not on Ebay but at this online store. Paypal is the payment method there as well, so that gave me confidence on the store's reliability.

¿Queréis ver qué fue lo que pedimos? Hay de todo y no todo lo que hemos pedido tiene que ver con el maquillaje, pero hemos decidido enseñarlo igualmente, por si os sirve.
Los artículos de Buyincoins se sirven sin caja, pero vienen perfectamente protegidos con plástico de burbujas. Los gastos de envío (envío normal) son gratis, aunque yo al ser la primera vez preferí pagar algo más de un euro para que me llegara certificado. El envío ha transcurrido sin problemas y ha sido bastante rápido, así que probablemente la próxima vez opte por el envío ordinario.

Wanna see what we got? There's a little bit of everything, and not all is make-up related, but we'd like to share that too, anyway, in the hope that you may find it useful. The items purchased at Buyincoins do not come in a cardboard box but wrapped in bubble wrap. Shipping (standard) is free, though as I was a new customer there, I opted for signed-for delivery with tracking. I had to pay a little more than a euro for that. Shipping was fast and without any problems whatsoever, so I'll probably choose the standard free shipping next time.

Podéis encontrar bolsas similares en Ikea, pero como -de momento- por aquí cerca no hay, decidimos probar estas. Tenían una oferta de 3x2 en las de 50x70cm. Ya hemos usado dos y la tercera será para mi madre. Queríamos ver si servían para algo o eran, hablando en plata, una mierda. Aunque la calidad probablemente sea inferior a las de otras tiendas, si tenéis un poco de cuidado y paciencia, cumplen su función. Al sistema de cierre lateral tipo zip cuesta un poco cogerle el punto. Como yo no tengo paciencia, de eso se encargó la "manitas" de la casa, Marian, que os ha ha preparado un video en su canal por si os interesa ver cómo funcionan.





You can find similar items at Ikea, for instance, but since there's no Ikea around here (yet), we decided to check these out first. They had an offer on the 50x70cm space bags, B2G3. We've used two of them so far and will give the other to our mum to try. We wondered if these were any good, considering the low price or were just crap and destined to begin and end their days on the dustin upon arrival. Although I suppose the quality of these is considerably lower than those available from other stores, if you're careful and patient, they do the job. The side ziplock is a bit tricky to deal with. As I have little patience myself, I left that handy, delicate job -lol- to my sister, the acknowledged DIYer here. She's done and uploaded a video to her YT channel for you to watch if you're interested in these bags.

* Fundas expandibles para brochas / Brush guards:

Están disponibles en dos versiones, en un único ancho y de un metro de longitud, que son las que hemos pedido y en un paquete surtido de quince. Están pendientes de estreno.

These are available in two sorts, a 'one size fits all' one metre long, which are the ones we've ordered and in an assorted bag including 15 guards. Haven't used them yet.



* Ruedas de muestra / Nailwheels:

Pedí un total de diez. Podéis comprarlas sueltas o bien en lotes de cinco. Son ligeramente más blanquecinas que las del vendedor de Ebay que utilicé para las de ese tamaño. Marian y yo las compartiremos como buenas hermanas.

I ordered a total of ten. These are available individually or in lots of 5. These are slightly whiter than my previous set of the same kind from Ebay. Marian and I will be sharing those, as good sisters do.

Hazlo tú: Limpiador de brochas – DIY: Brush cleanser.

Desde que sé algo más sobre maquillaje (gracias a blogs de belleza y a las gurús de YouTube), me he ido haciendo con varios pinceles.

Para mantenerlos limpios, existen dos opciones: lavarlos diariamente (con el inconveniente de que tardan varias horas en secarse) o bien utilizar una solución limpiadora, que los deja limpios y listos para usar en un par de minutos.

Since I know a bit more about make-up (thanks to beauty blogs and gurus on YouTube), I have purchased some brushes.

To keep them clean, there are two options: either washing them daily (with the drawback of taking several hours to get them dry), or using a cleansing solution, which leaves them clean and ready to use in a few minutes.

El problema de las soluciones limpiadoras es que suelen ser un poco caras; si os maquilláis a diario y/o tenéis muchos pinceles, la gastaréis enseguida.

The main problem of these cleansing solutions is that they're a bit expensive; if you use make-up on a daily basis and/or you have many brushes, you'll run out of it at once.

Así que os propongo hacer un limpiador de brochas casero. Es muy fácil (y barato). ¿Os interesa? Pues seguid leyendo.

So I propose you to make your own brush cleanser. It's very easy (and cheap). Are you interested? If so, keep on reading.

Para hacer el limpiador de brochas vais a necesitar:

-Un frasco atomizador.

-Agua

-Alcohol

-Un chorrito de líquido lavavajillas (si usáis “el milagro antigrasa” poned sólo unas gotas).

-Un chorrito de champú para bebé

To make this brush cleanser you need:

-A bottle with spray.

-Water

-Alcohol

-A trickle of dishwashing liquid (if it's very concentrated, add just a few drops).

-A trickle of baby shampoo.

Llena el frasco de agua hasta la mitad, y rellena la otra mitad con alcohol. Ahora añade las gotas de líquido lavavajillas y el chorrito de champú para bebé.

Ya tenemos nuestra solución limpiadora para brochas, que se puede usar tanto para brochas de pelo natural como de pelo sintético. Ahora agitamos bien, y lista para usar.

Add one part of water, and another one of alcohol. Now add a few drops of dishwashing liquid and the trickle of baby shampoo.

There we are, we have our own brush cleanser, which can be used for both natural and synthetic hair brushes. Now shake well, and it's ready to use.

En esta entrada os enseño las brochas que me traje de Berlín, para formar parte de mi colección "potinguil". Pero no simplemente por aumentar la colección así, sin más. Tenía ganas de jubilar mi vieja brocha retráctil de polvos, que pierde pelos cada vez que la uso. Así que aproveché este viaje para comprar una sustituta para ella, y de paso, compré otras dos brochas más, que también os voy a enseñar.

In this post I'm going to show you the brushes I brought from Berlin, the new members of my 'brush family'. But I didn't just want to increase my brush collection, just like that. I was very eager to say goodbye to my old retractable powder brush, which loses hairs each time I use it. So I had already made up my mind about the need to buy a new one, but as it always happens, I ended up buying two others, which you can also see in this post as well.

Aquí arriba veis las dos brochas de Catrice que compré. La primera, mi nueva brocha de polvos. Todavía no la he usado, sólo la he tocado para ver si era suave o no. Y ¿es suave? ¡No, lo siguiente!
Y la segunda, es para aplicar sombra y también es muy suave. En la información de la funda dice que también vale para difuminar, pero todavía no he podido comprobarlo.
Las compré en Ihr Platz. La de polvos me costó 4,49€ y la de sombras 2,29€.
En la foto no se aprecia bien, pero tienen el tamaño perfecto para llevarlas de viaje.

These are the two Catrice brushes that I bought. The first one is my new powder brush. I haven't used it yet, I just touched it to see how soft it was. Saying this brush is soft is an understatement. The second one is an eyeshadow brush and is also very soft. It said on the protective little bag it came in that it can be used for blending, but I haven't tried that yet.
I bought them at Ihr Platz. The powder brush was €4.49 and the eyeshadow one €2.29.
You can't really tell from the picture, but they're the perfect size for travelling.


Tenía ganas de tener una mofeta, para aplicar coloretes muy pigmentados, y había oído hablar muy bien de ésta. Tampoco quería gastarme mucho dinero, así que KIKO me pareció la opción perfecta. Es la "Brush Face 106", y me costó 12,90€. La compré en la tienda KIKO que hay en el Centro Comercial Alexa.

I've wanted a stippling brush for some time to apply very pigmented blushes, and I've heard this was a good one. I also didn't want to spend a fortune on it, so KIKO seemed a good choice. This is the 'Brush Face 106', and was €12.90. I bought it at the KIKO store in Alexa Shopping Centre.

Ya están en su nuevo hogar: una manta de brochas que me hice hace algún tiempo.

Now they're at home: a brush roll I made myself some time ago.
