Probando StriVectin SD - Testing StriVectin SD.

Gracias al sorteo que ganó marox en DelicateHummingbird hemos podido probar un kit de minitallas de productos antiedad de StriVectin.
El kit consta de tres productos: un exfoliante retexturizante que contiene 22ml, una crema concentrada antiarrugas y estrías también de 22ml y un concentrado antiarrugas para los ojos de 7ml.
En España, podéis encontrar los productos StriVectin a la venta de forma exclusiva en Sephora.




Thanks to the giveaway hosted by Delicate Hummingbird that marox won, we've had the chance to try out this anti-aging kit from StriVectin.
The lot consists of three products: a Retexturizing Scrub containing 22ml/0.75 oz, a concentrate for Stretch Marks and Wrinkles also containing 22ml/0.75 oz and an Eye Concentrate for wrinkles containing 7ml/0.25 oz.
In Spain, StriVectin products are sold exclusively at Sephora.

A continuación, os contamos un poco más en detalle nuestras impresiones sobre cada uno de ellos.
Up next, a more detailed opinion on each of these products.

1- Crema concentrada antiarrugas StriVectin SD: Ha sido el primer producto del kit StriVectin que hemos terminado. Evidentemente, tras un par de semanas utilizándola no podemos esperar milagros, pero tampoco nos ha impresionado especialmente. Deja la piel hidratada, al igual que otras cremas de menor precio. La hemos utilizado como crema de noche. Tiene un ligero efecto mentolado en la piel, que no molesta ni perdura en exceso en la piel. El tamaño venta es bastante generoso, yo diría 150ml y creo que cuesta 49€ en Sephora.

1- Concentrate for stretch marks and wrinkles Strivectin SD: It's been the first product in the StriVectin set we've used up. After only a couple of weeks of use, you cannot obviously expect any miracles in your complexion, but we're not very impressed by it all the same. It does moisturize your skin, like many other cheaper creams will do. We've been using it as a night cream. It does have a slight mint effect that you can feel on your skin, but it's not overpowering or feels uncomfortable. Full-sized product comes in a quite generous tube, I think it contains 150ml and costs 49 EUR at Sephora.
2- Concentrado antiarrugas para el contorno de ojos: de fácil aplicación, se desliza perfectamente sobre la piel (muy importante cuando se trata de la piel del contorno de los ojos), dejando un acabado "jugoso". Tiene un ligero efecto refrescante, que a ninguna de las dos nos ha molestado en absoluto, aunque se nota más que en el producto anterior. Además, se pasa enseguida.
En cuanto al efecto antiarrugas..., ninguna de las dos tenemos arrugas en esa zona. De todos modos, pensamos que lo de "antiarrugas" se refiere a que cuida la piel de la zona para evitar que aparezcan (o para retardar su aparición).
La cantidad que trae el tamaño de prueba (7 ml) da para bastantes aplicaciones. Aún no hemos terminado el envase, así que tendremos contorno de ojos para rato.

2- Eye concentrate for wrinkles: it's easy to apply, it glides perfectly over the skin (very important issue when we talk about the delicate skin on the eye area), leaving a 'juicy' finish. It has a slight refreshing effect, which didn't bother us at all though it was more noticeable than on the previous product. Besides, this effect disappears in a few minutes.
And about the antiwrinkle effect..., none of us have any wrinkles on that area. Anyway, we think that 'antiwrinkle' means that cares of the skin of that area to prevent their appearance (or delay it).
The amount of this mini size (7 ml) is generous enough to enable plenty of applications. We haven't finished it yet, so we will be able to use this eye contour cream for quite a long time.3- Exfoliante retexturizante: Tiene los gránulos ni muy finos como para no notar el efecto, ni muy gruesos que irriten la piel. Como conclusión, exfolia bien la piel del rostro sin irritarla. Obviamente, hay que tener mucho cuidado de no aplicar esta crema en el contorno de los ojos.
Nos ha gustado mucho a las dos, aunque Marian dice que si tiene que elegir, prefiere su exfoliante de Dr. Brandt, que os enseñó *aquí*.

3- Retexturizing scrub: its particles are not so small that you can't notice the effect, but not so big that they can irritate the skin. To sum up, it exfoliates the facial skin without irritating it.
Obviously, you must be very careful not to apply this cream on the eye contour.
We both like it, although Marian says that if she has to choose, she will prefer her exfoliating face cream from Dr. Brandt, which she showed you *here*.

Productos terminados - Finito Products (II)

Hoy venimos con una nueva entrega de los productos que hemos terminado últimamente.

Today I have a new post featuring the products we've used up lately.

1. Missha Perfect Cover #21: Os hablé de ella hace ya bastantes meses, *aquí*. Aunque me ha encantado por su gran cobertura y acabado, hay tantísimas BB Creams en el mercado que me apetece probar otras. Gracias a María probé varias de Skin79, aunque después probé una de otra marca que me ha gustado mucho, ya que ofrecía también una cobertura excelente, aunque finalmente he comprado otra. La MPC la he aprovechado al máximo cortando el tubo y pasado el producto restante a dos tarritos de muestra de 12 ml, de los cuales uno estaba lleno hasta los topes y que estoy utilizando todavía, así que para ser del todo sincera, no la he terminado del todo. La compré a Bellogirl.

1. Missha Perfect Cover #21: I talked about it many months ago *here*. Although I totally love this one because of the excellent coverage and finish, there are so many BB Creams out there that I really feel like trying others on the market. Thanks to María I had the chance of trying a couple from Skin79, though I've tried another one since then from another brand I liked even more though it wasn't the one I bought in the end. I finished it off by cutting the tube and moving the remaining product to two 12ml sample jars and the first of them was full to the brim. I'm still using that, so to be entirely honest, this product is not completely 'finito' yet. I purchased my MPC from Bellogirl.

2. Discos desmaquillantes Carrefour Discount: Ya van varias veces que compramos estos discos para desmaquillar los ojos o quitar el esmalte de uñas. Son nuestros favoritos junto con los de la marca Iseree de Lidl y según nos cuadre hacer la compra en un sitio o en otro, usamos éstos o los del Lidl. Nos gustan porque vienen pespunteados y así es más difícil que se deshilachen. *Ojo*: parece ser que los han cambiado y ya no son 100% algodón ni tan resistentes, o eso dicen.

2. Makeup Remover Cotton Pads from Carrefour Discount: We've repurchased these a few times already, and use this both to remove our eye makeup and nail polish. We really like these as well as the Iseree ones from Lidl's own brand and get one or the other depending on where we happen to do our shopping. What we like the most about them is the stitching that makes them a lot sturdier than your average pads. *Beware*: Carrefour has changed these and they are no longer 100% cotton or that sturdy, or so they say.

3. Colonia Té Verde de Caravan: La compramos en Carrefour y es la primera que probamos de la marca y aunque nos ha gustado, vamos a seguir probando otras de otras marcas.

3. Caravan Green Tea Eau de Toilette: We bought it at Carrefour. It's the first one we've tried from this brand and even though we liked it, we'll try other brands.

4. Crema facial kit Strivectin: Ha sido el primer producto del kit StriVectin que le tocó a marox en el sorteo de Delicate Hummingbird que hemos terminado. Evidentemente, tras un par de semanas utilizándola no podemos esperar milagros, pero tampoco nos ha impresionado especialmente. Deja la piel hidratada, al igual que otras cremas de menor precio. La hemos utilizado como crema de noche. Tiene un ligero efecto mentolado en la piel, que no molesta ni perdura en exceso en la piel.

5- Agua perfumada Flor de Cerezo de Les Cosmétiques (Carrefour): Es el segundo frasco que gastamos, aunque probaremos otro diferente de esta linea por cambiar. Nos gusta usarla especialmente después de la ducha, para irnos a la cama, etc. El olor dura más en el cuerpo y en la ropa que con las de Mercadona y el pulverizador funciona mejor también.




5- Cherry Blossom body spray from Les Cosmétiques (Carrefour): This is our second bottle, though we'll try a different one from the same range for a change. We like to use this right after the shower, before going to bed and so on. The scent lasts longer in your skin and clothes than with the ones from Mercadona and the spritz pump works better as well.

6- Toallitas limpiadoras de bebé Carrefour: Aunque solemos comprar las de Mercadona, las últimas que habíamos tenido venían un poco más secas que de costumbre y decidimos probar estas, que tienen el cierre rígido como nos gusta. Las usamos principalmente para eliminar la mayor parte del maquillaje del rostro, como primer paso en nuestra rutina desmaquillante. Ahora estamos usando las últimas que compramos en Mercadona.




6- Baby wipes from Carrefour: Though we usually buy the ones from Mercadona, the last ones we'd used were a little drier than usual so we bought these instead, because they have a firm closure to keep them damp. We use these to get rid of the bulk of our makeup, as a first step in our makeup removal routine. We're currently using the baby wipes we bought on our last visit to Mercadona.

De nuevo toca hacer un pequeño repaso de los últimos productos que hemos terminado. Aunque parezca que no, a lo tonto, a lo tonto, se van terminando productos.

It's time again to give you a brief review of the latest products we've used up. Before you know it, you finish up more products than you think.

1- Contorno de ojos StriVectin (minitalla): Era uno de los tres productos que venían en el kit de prueba que os enseñamos en *este* post y que pudimos probar gracias al sorteo que ganó Marox en Delicate Hummingbird. Es un contorno de ojos muy hidratante, tanto que lo hemos reservado para usar por la noche. Tiene un ligero toque mentolado que dura en la piel unos minutos. A marox se le emborronaba la vista un poco al usarlo, no sé si será debido al mentol. Se pasa en unos minutos sin mayor problema. Junto con el exfoliante, quizá lo que más merece la pena de esta marca.




1- StriVectin Eye Cream (trial size): It was one of the three products included in the trial kit that we showed you *here* and that we could try thanks to the giveaway that Marox won at Delicate Hummingbird. It's a highly moisturizing eye contour cream, so moisturizing that in fact we saved this for our night face care ritual. It has a slightly minty scent that lingers on the skin for a few minutes. Marox experienced blurry vision for a minutes right after using it, perhaps due to the mint in it. The feeling was over after a few minutes and her eye sight went back to normal. Together with the scrub, perhaps a product to be considered from the brand.

2- Lápiz con aloe vera y naranja para las uñas de Essence (marox): Tenía este rotulador en casa de mis padres y cuando he vuelto a intentar usarlo, en vez de aceites esenciales lo que salía era una sustancia pegajosa algo asquerosilla, así que a la basura. Solía usarlo varias veces después de utilizar el quitaesmalte, para hidratar las uñas y estaba bien. No sé si lo sigan haciendo o si tiene este formato, aunque podéis encontrar algo similar en otras marcas como Basic de Schlecker. No recuerdo el precio, pero creo que costaba unos dos euros. De momento, no lo volveremos a comprar porque tenemos uno parecido que nos mandó Sarah y aceite de almendras de Deliplus, que hace el apaño estupendamente.




2- Aloe vera & orange nail care pencil from Essence (marox): I had this at my parents' and when I tried to use it again, instead of essential oils all I got from it was a gross sticky substance, so straight to the bin it went. I used to apply this several times after using my nail polish remover to keep my nails moisturized and I liked it. I don't know if you can still find this or whether it comes in the same format, though you can find similar ones in other brands like Basic from Schlecker. Don't recall the exact price, but I'd say 2 EUR-ish. We won't be repurchasing it for the time being, as we have a similar one that Sarah sent us and also a bottle of sweet almond oil from Deliplus, that also does the trick.

3- Crema hidratante antiarrugas de Deliplus: La compramos para utilizar como crema de noche y la verdad es que va bastante bien. No nos gustan las cremas muy pesadas (y menos para dormir con ellas puestas), y esta cumple con ese requisito. Ronda los dos euros, así que de precio, insuperable. No descarto volverla a comprar en el futuro. La hemos usado las dos (mi madre alguna vez suelta también).

3- Anti-wrinkles moisturizer from Deliplus: We bought this to use it as our night cream and the truth is it did the job quite well. We stay away from very rich creams (even more so to put on our face before we go to bed) and this one ticked the box. It's around two euros, so absolutely nothing to object pricewise. Will probably repurchase in the future. We both used this (occassionally so did our mum).

4- Body Spray Les Cosmétiques de rosa blanca: Ya hemos probado varios aromas y nos han gustado mucho. Pulverizan muy bien, dejan una bruma muy fina y un olor... mmmm!
Los usamos justo después de la ducha, y nos encanta el olor que deja en la piel, que además, perdura un buen rato. Aunque nos ha gustado mucho el olor de éste, el de flor de cerezo es aún mejor.

4- Les Cosmetiques White Rose body spray: We've tried several of the scents in this range and like them very much. The pump works flawlessly, spritzing a very fine mist that smells absolutely divine. Mmmm!

We use this after the shower and love the scent it leaves on the skin and also the fact that it lasts a good while.

As much as we liked the scent of this, the cherry tree flower one is even better.

5- Lápiz de ojos automático 24 h Deliplús en color negro (01): ¡Estábamos deseando que se acabara! Como diría marox, es espantihorrendo. La mina es dura como ella sola y hay que apretar mucho para que pinte. Por supuesto, no pinta nada en la línea de agua. Así que, ni que decir tiene que no lo volveremos a comprar (¡ni regalado!). Preferimos los automáticos de Essence, que además, también son de larga duración (por no hablar del kajal automático de P2; ése es ya de matrícula y además de que se desliza que da gusto, es negro negrísimo).

5- 24h Automatic Eyeliner from Deliplus in black (01): We so wanted to use this up!! To quote marox, it's crappyawful!. The lead is harder than hard and you have to apply more pressure than desired in order for it to paint. Needless to say, it's totally useless on the waterline. We won't therefore repurchase. We'd rather get the Essence ones, which are also long lasting -though not in the same league as the P2 one. That one's an absolute knockout and is blacker than black.

Hoy vengo con una entrada que por desgracia me ha tocado empezar casi de cero porque por alguna razón inexplicable, se me ha ido prácticamente a la porra cuando ya la tenía terminada. Bueno, al grano. Se trata de una entrada algo diferente, ya que tooodoo lo que os voy a enseñar no lo he comprado yo, sino que es el premio que gané en el sorteo que celebró recientemente Keto de Delicate Hummingbird. Esta bloguera alemana tiene una colección impresionante de maquillaje, y siente una especial debilidad por las marcas de lujo y las sombras doradas. Y es tan generosa, que algunos productos, los compra a pares para que sus seguidoras puedan disfrutar también de ellos.
Es la segunda vez que resulto ganadora de un sorteo, el primero fue la famosa paleta Comfort Zone que sorteó Schni. Curiosamente, las dos son alemanas.

I had to practically redo this post almost from scratch. For some mysterious reason I fail to understand, almost all of it, ready to be posted, was gone. Gggrrrr. Anyway, I have a slightly different post than usual, in the sense that what I'm about to show you is not a haul of stuff purchased by me, but the awesome prizes included in a recent giveaway that I won hosted by Keto from Delicate Hummingbird. This German blogger has a make-up collection to die for and has a soft spot for luxury brands and golden/bronze eyeshadows. She's so generous that she sometimes gets her lemmings in twos, so one of her many followers can indulge too and enjoy them.
Btw, it's the second time I'm the lucky winner at a giveaway, the first being the Comfort Zone palette from Schni's blog. Strangely enough, both are German.

Wanna see all she sent me? When our dear postman brought up the box I couldn't believe my eyes. Everything was packed very carefully and inside a toilet bag for added protection.

El premio estrella de su sorteo era la polverita 'Parure de Nuit' de Guerlain, una auténtica preciosidad y que podéis ver en la foto. Viene con un espejo y una brochita con cerdas de color turquesa, bastante más suave de lo que suelen ser los aplicadores incluídos en casi cualquier producto de maquillaje. Se trata de un producto múltiple, ya que se puede utilizar tanto como colorete y como iluminador. ¿A qué da pena usarlo? Pero tranquilas, que lo usaré con mucho mimo.




The star item in her giveaway was the 'Parure de Nuit' powder from Guerlain, the beauty pictured above. It comes with a mirror and a surprisingly soft little brush with teal bristles, unlike the standard applicators that come with most make-up products. It's a multiple purpose product, as it can be used both as a blush and a highlighter. It's so beautiful it hurts to use, but use it I shall with lots of TenderLovingCare.

Keto también incluyó un kit de minitallas de productos de tratamiento facial, StriVectin, que aún no hemos usado pero que ya os adelanto que goza de muy buena fama. En España, se vende en Sephora y no es barato precisamente, pero si nos gusta, ya procuraremos aprovechar algún descuento jugoso para hacernos con ellos. Alipopof, recientemente subió un *video* a su canal de YT en el que habla detalladamente de este producto y de sus excelencias.

Keto also included a kit of trave/trial-sized face products, StriVectin that we haven't used yet but are very eager to, due to the excellent reviews and hype. In Spain, these are sold I believe exclusively on Sephora and are quite pricey, but if we like them, we'll do our best to get them only if we can benefit from a nice discount or at the Sephora 'Precios locos' sales. The Spanish beauty guru Alipopof did a recent *video* raving about these too.
You can count on a joint review when we try these.

Como podéis ver en la primera foto, eso no era todo. Hay un kit de body milk y miniperfume de Armani Code, varias muestras de perfume y una mini máscara de pestañas de Lancôme, que reservaremos para algún viaje. La espuma de afeitar de tamaño viaje, se la he dado a mi padre, que seguro que la aprovechará también para el mismo fin.

As you can see in the first pic, that's not all. There's a an Armani Code body milk & sample perfume set, several perfume samples and a mini mascara from Lancôme that will be probably saved for some trip. I gave the travel-sized shaving foam for men to my father, who will most likely use it for that as well.
