PDLS / POTW: Essence #142 'Grey-t to be here'

Espero que hayáis disfrutado del puente y que la lluvia no haya trastocado demasiado vuestros planes.   Hoy os quiero enseñar una pedicura de hace ya unos meses, que tenía en borradores. En otoño me pinto algunas veces las uñas de los pies, pero no tan a menudo como en primavera o verano.    Una capa de la base 2 en 1 de Kiko, un par de capas finas del esmalte. No usé topcoat. Al tratarse de una pedicura, los esmaltes duran mucho más. Es un tono grisáceo con pequeños brillos, sutiles pero que le dan un algo especial. Lo tengo ya desde hace varios años y sigue en perfecto estado. La verdad es que marcas como Essence o Catrice tienen unos colores muy especiales y siempre renuevan con regularidad sus gamas para estar a la última.  Por poner alguna pega, estaría bien que se animaran a sacar esmaltes de gel, para usar con lámpara. Seguro que triunfaban.   Os dejo con una foto de Pol, en su nueva camita, que ha tardado como un mes en querer usar.  Es un encanto de animal, sigue tan mimoso. Este curso está con mis padres -los yayos- ya que a mí no me dejan tener mascotas en el piso que he alquilado.     ¿Os gustan los esmaltes de Essence? ¿Os pintáis las uñas de los pies en otras épocas del año que no sean el verano? Hope you've had a nice long weekend and that the showers we've had this week didn't alter your plans too much.   Today I'd like to share with you a pedi I wore a few months ago that was in my draft posts. I do get pedis in autumn, but not as often as in spring or summer, obviously.   I used the 2-in-1 base and topcoat as a base, then a two thin layers of this polish, but no topcoat, since pedis last long enough.  This is a grey shade with micro glitter specks, subtle but enough to give it an exciting touch. I've had it for a few years and it still works like a charm. Truth be told, brands like Essence and Catrice have very nice colours and are always upgrading their range to make sure they're still on trend.  My only suggestion is they should release some gel polishes to be used with an LED lamp. I'm sure they'd fly off the shelves.      Let me finish this post with an update on Pol. There you have him, lying comfy in his new bed. It took him at least a whole month to venture inside.  He's adorable and as cuddly as always. This year he's staying at my parents -my landlord doesn't allow tenants to keep pets- so he's keeping them company during the week.   Do you like Essence nail polishes? PDLS / POTW - Opi 'A Little Guilt Under the Kilt'

Hola chicas:   Ya falta menos para la primavera. Por aquí hemos tenido algún día muy agradable, pero mejor no confiarse, que todavía tiene que venir frío. Ya hace un año del confinamiento, y aunque alguna gente ya se ha vacunado, no podemos bajar la guardia.     Hoy me gustaría compartir con vosotras una pedicura usando un esmalte de la colección de Escocia que compré en Primaprix a finales de otoño. Aunque no me suelen durar demasiado los esmaltes de esta marca, como lo he usado en los pies en esta ocasión no es un problema.     Como siempre, utilicé una capa de base y rematé con una de topcoat, puesto que algunos esmaltes al secar pierden algo de brillo. Como esperaba, la duración al tratarse de una pedicura fue buena.    ¿Tenéis ganas de que llegue la primavera? ¿Y de poneros la vacuna? Contadnos en los comentarios.

Hi girls,   Spring will soon be here, and we've already had some warm weather, though we're still expecting cold weather here, so let's not be reckless. It's also been a year since lockdown and although some folks have had their Covid shots, we mustn't lower our guard.   Today I'd like to share with you a pedi using one of the polishes from the Scotland OPI nail polish collection, which I bought in late autumn from a local discount supermarket, Primaprix. Although I have mixed feelings regarding this brand, since I was going to use that on a pedi, short wear time wasn't a big deal.        As always, I used both a base and a topcoat, as some polishes lose some shine when dry. PDLS / POTW: Yes Love

¡Hola chicas! Ya estamos en septiembre. Hay que ver cómo pasa el tiempo. Creo que este verano ha pasado sin darme cuenta apenas.

Hoy os traigo una pedicura con un esmalte que hace mucho que no usaba, puesto que lo tengo en nuestra otra casa. La marca Yes Love se puede encontrar en tiendas multiprecio desde hace muchos años. Os dejo un *enlace* que he encontrado, por si os apetece echar un vistazo a sus productos si no se venden donde vivís.

Apliqué una capa de la base de Essence BTGN (que está ya algo seca, dicho sea de paso) y 2 finitas de este esmalte. No apliqué topcoat, puesto que en los pies me suelen durar bien los esmaltes.
Al ser un tono tornasolado con algo de glitter, hay que tener un poco más de paciencia a la hora de retirarlo.

It's September already. Time does fly. Summer will be over before I realize.

Today I have a pedi for you, with a nail polish I hadn't used in a really long time since it's in our second home. The Yes Love brand can be found in many Spanish 'pound' shops for many years now. Here is a *link* in case you want to check out the type of products they offer if it's not available in your area.



I applied a coat of the Essence BTGN base -which is rather dry, to be honest- and 2 thin coats of this. I didn't use any topcoat since pedis last quite long on their own.

Since it's a duochrome shade with fine glitter, you need to be a bit more patient when the time comes to take it off.

And let me wrap this post up with a picture of Luna, who's now all thrilled playing ball with me. She really appreciates any toys you get her, bless her heart.

PDLS / POTW: Sinful Colors #202 'Sharon's Heart'

Hola chicas,

Aquí vengo con una pedicura, que lucí a principios de junio. Como véis, me lo tomo con calma, jeje.
Apliqué una capa de la base 'Extreme Last' de Essence y una generosa de este esmalte. No apliqué top coat, puesto que en los pies suelen durar bastante de por sí.

Y como este post tampoco da mucho más de si, os dejo con nuestras peludas, Luna y Molly, que han pasado unos días juntas (pero no revueltas) de vacaciones.

Here I am with a pedi I sported in early June. As you see, I'm taking things easy. Chill mode ON, lol.
I applied a coat of the Essence 'Extreme Last' basecoat and a generous coat of this. I didn't use any top coat, since pedis are quite long-lasting on their own right.

And since there isn't much to add today, here are our furry ones, Luna and Molly, who spent a few days together (yet apart) during the holidays. 

PDLS/POTW: Essence 'Oh my glitter!'.

Hola de nuevo:

En esta entrada os enseño mi más reciente pedicura, con el esmalte "Oh my glitter!" de Essence.
Es en tono morado, con pequeños brillitos de colores. Quizá describirlo como glitter sería demasiado.

Encima, apliqué el top coat de alto brillo de Essence, que es el que suelo utilizar en mis pedicuras.

Y ahora, un consejo:
Nunca os pintéis las uñas con poca luz. Yo me las pinté de noche, con la única iluminación de una luz indirecta, y el color no ha quedado uniforme.

In this post, I'm showing you my latest pedi, with the Essence 'Oh my glitter!' nail polish.

It's a purple shade with small multicolor particles. Calling them glitter would be too much.



On top, I applied the 'High shine top coat' from Essence, which is the one I always use for my pedis.

And now, let me give you some advice:
Never polish your nails with low light. I polished them at night, just under indirect lighting, so the colour is not uniform.

POTW / PDLS: Deliplus #891

¡Hola chicas!

¿Qué tal lo lleváis? Por aquí parece que en unos días pasaremos a la fase 2, pero incluso ahora ya se nota que la ciudad poco a poco retoma el ritmo y hay más vidilla en las calles.
El tiempo de momento no es todo lo bueno que cabría esperar, pero puesto que ando corrigiendo y haciendo exámenes, casi lo prefiero.

Hoy quiero enseñaros mi primera pedicura de la temporada. Lo cierto es que compré este esmalte hace ya bastante, en otoño creo y he tardado en usarlo puesto que el color me parecía más adecuado para el verano o el otoño. Recuerdo que el año pasado, en 2018, tuvieron un tono similar, pero cuando quise hacerme con él se había agotado.

La única referencia al tono es el número 891 en letra muy pequeña en la parte trasera del bote. Eso, y que parece ser de una gama de secado en un minuto.
Buscando más *información*, veo que se lanzó en agosto de 2019.
Al ser de la marca *Deliplus*, sólo se venden en los supermercados españoles Mercadona.

Ignoro si todavía estará a la venta, aunque lo dudo. 

Me pareció un tono perfecto para las uñas de los pies. Aunque aún no me he puesto sandalias, me alegra verme las uñas coloridas en la ducha. Llamadme tonta.

Creo recordar que apliqué una capa de base de Essence y dos de este esmalte. Cubre bastante bien aunque hay que tener cuidado de que no queden marcas.

Al usarlo en las uñas de los pies, la duración es siempre buena.

How is it going, girls?

Over here we're supposed to enter the second stage in the lockdown-easing measures. But even now, you can feel that the city is slowly recovering its pace and it is much livelier.
The weather isn't as good as you would expect, but since I'm marking exams and testing students I prefer it that way.

Today I want to share with you my first pedi this season. The truth is I bought this polish some time ago - in the autumn I think- and it's taken me a bit to use it. I thought the shade was more fitting for the autumn or summer. They did have a similar shade in a previous collection in 2018 but by the time I decided to get it, it was sold out or no longer available.

The only reference to any shade is the number 891 in really small print at the back of the bottle. That and the fact that it seems to be part of a 1-minute, quick-drying line.
After searching the web for more *info* on these, they were launched in August 2019.

It is by the brand Deliplus and as such is exclusively sold at *Mercadona* supermarkets in Spain.
I have no idea whether this is still available but it's unlikely.

I thought it'd be the perfect shade for a pedi. Although I haven't taken out my sandals yet, seeing my toenails in a colourful shade brings a smile to my face. Even if I only get to see them in the shower. Call me silly.

I seem to recall I applied a coat of an Essence basecoat and two of this shade. The colour payoff is fairly good, but you need to be a bit more patient on application to prevent streaking.

Since I used this for a pedi, wear time is always good.

Mi primera pedi de 2020 - My first pedi of 2020.

Mientras tengamos a este condenado bicho circulando libremente por ahí, tengo prohibido pintarme las uñas de las manos (y maquillarme, y darme crema hidratante en la cara cuando voy a trabajar...).
Y es que el coronavirus se fija increíblemente bien al esmalte de uñas y a las cremas y maquillajes.

Así que me pinto las de los pies, que esos todavía están tapaditos.
Y cuando voy al trabajo, con la cara lavada. Sin nada más.

He utilizado este esmalte granate de Basic (Schlecker), y como top coat, el High Shine Top Coat de Essence.
Ambos los tengo desde hace un porrón de años, pero se mantienen en buenas condiciones.

Bueno, nada más por esta entrada.

As long as we have that darn bug roaming freely out there, I'm banned from painting my fingernails (or wear make-up or use face cream when I go to work...)
Here's the thing: Covid-19 will stick incredibly well to nail polish, creams or make-up.

So that's why I have to settle for pedis, since toenails are still well covered.
And when I go to work, it is with a bare face. That's it.



I used this maroon shade from Basic (Schlecker) and as a top, Essence's High Shine Top Coat.
I've had both for ages but they still work like a charm.

Pedicura bicolor / Two-tone pedi - Catrice + Alessandro

Hoy me gustaría enseñaros la que fue mi última pedicura veraniega. Como soy muy vaga para hacerme florituras en las uñas últimamente, pues me conformo con darle un poco de vidilla usando dos tonos diferentes.

Los elegidos han sido el tono 450 Sand Francisco (ya descatalogado, imagino) de Catrice y el esmalte de Alessandro en tono marrón que compré en un TK Maxx de Varsovia y que vistéis en la entrada de *compras* correspondiente.

Como curiosidad, comentaros que el esmalte de Alessandro estaba usado. Vale que la tienda vende productos con descuento, pero creo que esos detalles deberían cuidarlos más y no vender productos ya usados.

Utilicé como base el Fast&Shiny Base & Topcoat de Kiko, seguido de un par de capas del esmalte de Catrice y una del de Alessandro, que es bastante cubriente. Como esmalte de acabado, usé el Poshé.

De momento, no me las he vuelto a pintar, aunque no descarto hacerlo. Soy de las que le gusta pintarse las uñas de los pies de vez en cuando -y que le zurzan a la psoriasis- hasta en invierno. Así pongo un toque de color y parece que el frío se hace más llevadero.

Today I'd like to share with you the pedi I last sported this past summer. Since I'm way too lazy to do anything fancy on my nails lately, all I can do is spice them up by using several shades at the same time.

The chosen combo for this was an oldie from Catrice, 450 Sand Francisco -which I presume is no longer available- and a brown polish from Alessandro (no name) that I bought at TK Maxx in Warsaw and shared with you on a *Haul*.

Incidentally, there is something I'd like to say about this Alessandro polish and it is the fact that it was already used. I get that they sell heavily discounted items, but I think they should ensure items are new, at least.

My base was Kiko's Fast & Shiny Base & Topcoat, followed by two coats of the Catrice shade and from the Alessandro one, which is a one-coater. My topcoat for this pedi was Poshé. 

I haven't painted my toenails since, although I may do so in the future. I'm one of those people who paints her toenails -and to hell with my darn nail psoriasis-  even in winter.
That way I spruce up the cold season a bit and make it more tolerable.

What about you? Do you also get pedis once the summer's over?

PDLS / POTW: Skeyndor & RivaldeLoop - Pedicura bicolor / Two-colour pedi

Si digo que hace cosa de un año que no me pintaba las uñas de los pies, podéis creerme. Entre la psoriasis ungueal, el frío y la falta de tiempo, pues he tenido mis pinreles un poco abandonados. 

En la foto podéis apreciar que utilicé dos tonos bien distintos en esta pedicura. El de Skeydor lo vistéis hace poco en una manicura y el de RivaldeLoop es uno de mis favoritos, que lo mismo vale para un roto que para un descosido.
Al ser una pedicura, he podido lucirla durante bastante tiempo y quizá podría haberla apurado algo más, aunque me apetecía cambiar.

If I told you it's been about a year since I last gave myself a pedi, you'd better believe me. Between my nail psoriasis, the cold and the general lack of time, I've pretty much ditched most forms of pampering, one's one feet included.

As shown in the pic, I used two very different shades for this pedi. The Skeyndor one featured in a recent mani and RivalDeLoop's taupe polish is one of my faves, a true all-rounder.
Like any pedi, you can sport this for quite some time before taking it off. I could have stretched it even further, but I felt like a change, though.

PDLS/ POTW: China Glaze 'I'm Indi-a Mood for Love

¡Hola a todas!

Me parece mentira traeros una pedicura. Hace una eternidad os conté que tenía la uña del pie izquierdo fatal por algo que no se sabía si eran hongos, psoriasis o qué.

Pues desde entonces, sigo batallando con ella. He probado distintos tratamientos tópicos, láser e incluso tratamientos orales, sin conseguir demasiado.
Mi podólogo ya no sabe qué hacer conmigo y me dará otra sesión cuando acabe el tratamiento oral que sigo ahora.
He llegado a la conclusión de que esta combinación de psoriasis y hongos, debido al componente de psoriasis -que por si no lo sabéis, va por brotes- tendré temporadas en las que mi uña tendrá un aspecto casi normal y otras en las que dará pena verla.



En la última visita al podólogo, le dije que pensaba pintármelas para el viaje, sí o sí. Una vez al año, al menos, no quiero sentir vergüenza al llevar sandalias.
Hablando de sandalias, las que llevo las compré este verano en unos puestos que pusieron a finales de junio aquí en Burgos durante las fiestas. Creo recordar que me costaron 12 euros. Son comodísimas y muy monas. ¿No os parece?

En cuanto a la pedicura, utilicé la prebase Nail Envy, en todas las uñas salvo la afectada, donde usé el tratamiento Ciclochem con el que estoy ahora. Apliqué dos capas de este esmalte de OPI que ya os he enseñado en otras ocasiones. Cuando pasó un minuto, apliqué una capa de Poshé para que secara antes.

He lucido esta pedicura durante unos 10 días. Se veía bien todavía, pero debía retomar el tratamiento.

Hi everyone!

It feels so strange me posting a pedi. It's been a lifetime ago since I told you my big toenail on my left foot was in a really poor state.
I wasn't sure whether it was caused by fungus or psoriasis.

I've been battling with the condition and my nail's unsightly state since then. I've tried every topical treatment under the sun, pills and even laser treatment. It has never subsided completely, unfortunately.  
My podiatrist doesn't know what to do with me anymore and suggested giving me an extra laser treatment once I've left the meds I'm currently on.
I've come to the conclusion that this combination of psoriasis and fungus, due to the nature of psoriasis coming in flare-ups, means there will be times when my nail will look almost normal and other times where it will be downright gross to look at. 



 During my latest visit to the podiatrist I told him that I intended to wear them painted for my upcoming trip, no matter what. At least once a year I don't to feel bad or being glanced at by how poorly my toenail looks when wearing sandals.
On the subject of sandals, the ones I'm wearing in these photos were bought late in June at the local fair, here in Burgos. I seem to recall I paid €12 for them. They're really comfy and pretty. Don't you agree?

As for the pedi, I used Nail Envy on almost all nails. On the affected nail I used the topical treatment I'm currently on, Ciclochem. I applied two coats of this OPI polish I've shown you a few times before. After a minute or so, I gave my nails a coat of Poshé for faster drying and longer lasting.

I had this pedi on for about 10 days. It still looked nice, but I had to continue my prescripted treatment.

Productos Terminados #39 / 'Finito' Products #39.

Hi girls,

Bienvenidas a una nueva entrega de productos terminados.

1 - Bálsamo labial 'Yes To' de bayas: (marox) Lo he llevado en el bolso durante bastante tiempo. Es agradable de usar y no me costó caro (lo compré en los Precios Locos, si mal no recuerdo), aunque el mecanismo falló y lo doy por terminado aunque aún quedaba un poco.



2 - Desmaquillante de ojos casero (marox): Lo estaba usando muy esporádicamente y estaba un poco feo, además de que el bote dispensador dejó de funcionar (lo compré en Buyincoins). Ahora mismo estoy usando el agua micelar de Garnier.

3 - Recambios cepillos Oral B: Como sabéis, los compramos en el mercadillo local por 5€ los paquetes de 2 recambios y 8€ los de 3. Son los modelos Dual Clean (marox, izquierda) y Trizone (Marian, derecha). Estamos encantadas con nuestros cepillos eléctricos, así que los seguiremos comprando. 



4 - Crema reparadora de grietas para pies de Sairo (Marian).
Ni me acuerdo de cuándo compré esta crema, pero sé que la compré en Alcampo (algo es algo).
La he tenido olvidada en el cajón bastante tiempo. Y es que sólo me acuerdo de hidratar mis talones en verano, y cuando llevo sandalias, que es cuando más se resecan.
Hace unos días decidí mimar un poco mis pies y ya quedaba tan poquito de esta crema que la terminé.
Hay que tener un poco de cuidado al aplicarla, porque después te puedes resbalar.
Salvo eso, nada que objetar.
No sé por cuál me decidiré ahora.

5 - Jabón natural de jazmín (Marox).
Compré este jabón en una feria de artesanía hace un par de años, creo.
Lo mejor, su olor.
Tanto es así, que Marian, después de hacer la foto a la cajita, ha decidido dejarla abierta (con los restitos de jabón que quedaban) en su armario para que se lo perfume.
Lo peor, que hacía poca espuma y enseguida se rompía en trozos pequeños, así que no repetiré, ya que los de TBS me han parecido fabulosos.

Welcome to another installment of our 'Empties' series.

1 - 'Yes To' Berry Lipbalm: (marox). I've had this in my purse for a good while. It's a nice product and it's value for money, as I bought it at the Sephora Sales. The twist up thingy stopped working, so I'm considering it as Empty even though there's still some product left.

2 - DIY eye makeup remover (marox): I was using this only once in a while and it was looking a bit gross. Besides, the pump dispenser no longer works (I purchased this at BIC). I'm currently using Garnier's micellar cleansing water.



3 - Oral B brush head replacements: As you know, we usually get these from the local flea market for €5 per 2-pack and €8 per 3-pack. These are the Dual Clean (marox, left) and Trizone (Marian, right) brush heads. We're delighted with our electric toothbrushes and needless to say we'll repurchase.

4 - Foot repairing cream from Sairo (Marian).
I can't remember when I bought this cream, but I do know where (Alcampo, a shopping mall).
I forgot it somewhere in a drawer for quite a long time. I only remember to moisturize my feet in the summertime, when I wear sandals, because it's when the skin of my feet gets dry the most.
Some days ago I decided to pamper my feet. There was a little bit amount of this cream left, so I finally used it up.
I have to be very careful when applying it, because after that, you can slip off.
Except that fact, nothing to complain about.
I don't know yet which one I'll be using from now on.



5 - Jasmine natural soap (Marox).
I got it in a crafts fair two years ago, I think.
The best is its scent.
In fact, after taking the picture of the box, Marian decided to leave it opened (with the tiny pieces of the soap in it) inside her wardrobe.
The worst thing of it is that it made just a little foam, and it broke easily into small pieces. That being said, I won't repurchase, as TBS ones were awesome imo.

Primera pedicura del 2015 - First pedi in 2015.

Comienza la temporada de pedicuras para mí, y aquí os traigo la primera.

He utilizado el esmalte "Blue Star" de Lumene, que compré en Estocolmo. 
Como base, utilicé el gel de calcio de Basic, y como top coat, el "High Shine top coat" de Essence, que sólo utilizo para las pedicuras, como ya sabréis.



Me gusta usar tonos oscuros para las pedicuras, porque me parece que combinan mejor con la ropa o el calzado que llevemos. Aunque por otra parte, creo que los colores vibrantes también quedan muy bien para verano.

Es una lástima que estos días no pueda lucir mis pies (que tampoco son nada del otro mundo, como podéis ver), porque está lloviendo, y creo que tenemos para unos días.

Esto es todo por ahora.

The pedis' season has just started for me, so here you are the first one.

I used the polish 'Blue Star' from Lumene, which I bought in Stockholm.
As a base, I used the calcium gel from Basic, and the 'High shine top coat' from Essence on top, which I only use for my pedis, as you'll probably know.

I like using dark shades for my pedis, because I think they match better with any colour of clothes or sandals.
On the other hand, I also think that vibrant shades look great now in summertime.



It's a pity that I can't show my feet now (which they're nothing special, by the way), because it's now raining, and I'm afraid we will have more rain for the following days.

Pedicuras de verano - Summer Pedis

¡Hola chicas!

Hemos recopilado en este post algunas de las pedicuras que hemos lucido este verano.
Marox decidió mandar su psoriasis a la porra por unos días y como véis, se pintó las uñas de los pies en un par de ocasiones.

En esta primera foto de la columna de la izquierda, podéis ver en primer lugar, el pie de Marox y el piecito de Marian. Se aprecia la diferencia de tamaño, ¿verdad?
Marox lleva sus uñas pintadas con el esmalte de Essence #133 'Oh my glitter', y Marian las lleva pintadas con el esmalte "Dinner for 2" de Sephora, un rosa fucsia muy vibrante.

En la primera foto de la columna de la derecha, podéis ver cómo luce el esmalte de Essence #02 'I like', de la EL Blossoms, en el pie de Marox.
Por la misma fecha, Marian decidió hacerse una pedicura utilizando este mismo esmalte.
¡Palabrita del Niño Jesús que no fue a propósito!

Today we've prepared a compilation featuring some of the pedis we've sported this summer. Marox decided to send her nail psoriasis packing so to speak for a few days and, as you can see, painted her toenails a couple of times.

The first photo in the left-hand column shows first Marox's foot and Marian's tiny one beside it. Notice the difference in size, don't you?
Marox painted her nails with Essence #133 'Oh my glitter' polish and Marian used 'Dinner for 2' by Sephora. It's a very vibrant fuchsia.

In the first pic of the right-hand column you can see how the Essence #02 'I like' from the Blossoms LE looks on Marox's feet.
Around the same date, Marian decided to use exactly the same lacquer for her pedi. She swears it wasn't on purpose!
But Marian took no pictures of that pedi, so unfortunately there are none to share and you'll have to trust her word.

Seguro que en estos días habéis visto a más blogueras publicar posts similares. Me temo que yo también cedí a la tentación de los gastos de envío gratis y pedí unas cositas a las que les tenía echado el ojillo.
Hice el pedido el día 23 de junio, lo enviaron el 25 y yo lo recibí el día 3 de julio. No está mal, ¿verdad?
Si queréis ver qué eché a la cesta, seguid leyendo.

En primer lugar, debo decir que sólo os puedo enseñar 4 de los 6 artículos que compré, puesto que los dos restantes serán un detalle para Marian por su cumpleaños, así que tendréis que esperar aún un par de meses para ver lo que le cogí.

1 - Champú hidratante de Giovanni 'Smooth as Silk': Si tenéis el pelo rizado o teñido sabréis lo dificil que es conseguir que el pelo no se vea estropajoso. Este champú es uno de los productos más vendidos de la marca. Presume de dejar el pelo "suave como la seda" gracias a su suave formulación, repleta de extractos naturales de aloe vera, manzana, manzanilla, naranja, gingko biloba, etc.
No contiene parabenos ni sulfatos. Aunque no llevo mucho utilizándolo, os puedo decir que hace bastante espuma para no tener sulfatos, tiene un olor cítrico agradable y no deja el pelo especialmente enredado ni con sensación de tirantez. De momento, estoy contenta con él.
Lo alternaré con los champús de Bubbly.

 2 - Champú para cuero cabelludo problemático 'Everclean' de Home Health: El producto está indicado tanto como para tratar la caspa como para la psoriasis y dermatitis. Contiene ácido salicílico y extractos naturales de aloe vera, alquitrán natural (de pino), miel, cola de caballo, ortiga, etc.
No contiene parabenos, aceites minerales, derivados del petróleo ni ftalatos. Tampoco está testado en animales. Aún no lo he usado, pero imagino que sea tan suave como el otro que tengo de esta marca.
Lo tenéis a la venta *aquí* por 7,18 dólares.

3 - Exfoliante para pies "bastón de caramelo" de Deep Steep: (marox) Andaba buscando un exfoliante para pies grandecito para tener en mi otra casa y me llamó la atención *éste*. Tiene un precio de  9,95 dólares y trae 256ml.
La acción exfoliante la realiza el azúcar que contiene. En su composición encontramos menta, vainilla, manteca de karité, aceite de coco y de girasol, entre otros.
Con la piel mojada, la acción exfoliante no se nota apenas (parece que el azúcar se derritiera o integrara con los demás ingredientes) pero con la piel seca sí que se nota, así que tenedlo en cuenta si os decidís a probarlo. Al aclarar la piel se nota que está muy hidratada, pero sin resultar excesivo. El olorcito es sobre todo mentolado, pero muy dulce.

4 - Desodorante en stick sin aluminio con lavanda y aloe de Nature's Gate: (marox) Durante los días de calor o en ciertos días del mes he notado que el clásico desodorante de piedra de alumbre "me abandona" así que he pedido éste a ver qué tal. Siento si no os resulta muy interesante incluir este tipo de productos en estos posts, pero a nadie le gusta comprar un producto que no funciona muy allá. 
Lo tengo pendiente de estrenar, pero prometo contaros qué tal va en cuanto lo pruebe lo suficiente.

You've probably read similar posts from other bloggers out there these days. I'm afraid I wasn't able to resist the free shipping offer Iherb announced and ordered a few things I'd had my eye on for a while.
I placed my order on June 23rd, it was shipped on the 25th and I eventually received it on July 3rd. Not bad, right?
If you want to check out what I added to my cart, keep reading.

First of all, I should say I can only show you 4 out of the 6 items I ordered, as the remaining 2 will be a gift for Marian's upcoming birthday. You'll have to wait a couple of months then to see what she got from me.

1 - Deep moisture 'Smooth as Silk' shampoo, from the brand Giovanni: If you have curly or processed hair, you'll know how hard it is to have hair that does not resemble straw. This shampoo is one of the brand's best sellers.  It claims to moisturise your hair with its gentle formula, full of natural extracts such as aloe vera, apple, chamomile, orange, gingko biloba and others.
It does not contain parabenes and is sulfate-free too. Though I have not been using this long, I can tell it lathers well for a sulfate-free shampoo, has a pleasant citrusy scent and does not leave hair tangled or too squeaky clean. So far, I'm happy with it.
I'll use it when I'm not using the Bubbly/Bodyline ones.

2 - 'Everclean' Shampoo for itchy scalp from Home Health: Suitable for treating problematic scalp associated with dandruff, psoriasis and dermatitis. It contains salicidic acid and natural extracts from aloe vera, pine tar, honey, horsetail, nettle, etc.
It is paraben, mineral oil, petroleum and phtalates free and has not been tested on animals.
Available *here* for 7.18 USD.

3 - Deep Steep Sugar Cane Foot Scrub: (marox) I was looking for a decent-sized foot scrub to keep at my other home and I was drawn to *this*. Price is 9.95 USD and it contains 9 oz / 256ml.
The exfoliation is sugar-based and the ingredients include mint, vanilla, shea butter, coconut and sunflower seed oils, among others.
On damp skin the exfoliation is barely noticeable -it seems the sugar melts and blends into the other ingredients-, but on dry skin it is much more evident and efficient. Bear this in mind if you add it to your shopping cart. After washing off, the skin is moisturised and soft, without leaving a sticky or greasy film. The scent is very minty yet sweet.

4 - Aluminium-free Lavender & Aloe Deodorant Stick from Nature's Gate: (marox) I've noticed that my crystal deodorant is not my best ally during the hottest summer days or in certain days of the month, so I went and ordered this for a change. You may think my including this item in a Haul & Review post is not very interesting, but noone likes buying something that doesn't do much, right?
I haven't tried this yet but promise to give you my thoughts on this as soon as I'd had the chance to test it properly.

Mis regalos de navidad / My Xmas presents

¿Qué tal se han portado Papá Noel y los Reyes Magos con vosotras? Yo no me puedo quejar, como podéis ver a continuación.

En primer lugar, recibí de Marian lo siguiente:

1 - Esta preciosa pulsera esmaltada es una imitación de las pulseras Frey Wille que ví por primera vez en Viena hace ya unos años. Las originales cuestan unos 1000€ y estas imitaciones chinas de Aliexpress como podréis imaginar, son muucho más económicas.
Sin embargo, el acabado está muy cuidado y tiene un curioso cierre. El vendedor cuidó también la presentación, ya que mandó la pulsera en una bonita cajita.

2 - Exfoliante corporal 'Tradition de Hammam' de Yves Rocher: Marian sabe que éste es uno de mis exfoliantes favoritos y que hacía tiempo que no lo probaba, así que en una visita a Yves Rocher me compró uno. Todavía no lo he abierto, aunque *ya* os hemos hablado otras veces de sus virtudes. Esta tienda suele tener ofertas de 2x1 ó descuentos varios, que vienen bien porque sin descuentos vale 23€, que me parece demasiado.

3 - Exfoliante de pies lisos de lavanda de Yves Rocher: Y siguiendo con los exfoliantes, Marian sabía también que le tenía echado el ojo a este exfoliante para pies y decidió regalármelo también por Navidad. Aunque aún no puedo llevar las uñas de los pies pintadas - mis supuestos "hongos de las uñas" han resultado ser un caso rebelde de psoriasis en las uñas - al menos me gusta que se vean cuidados a la vista y suaves al tacto.



4 - Bálsamo reparador para pies de lavanda de Yves Rocher: Al igual que el anterior, otro producto para tener los pies hidratados y suaves.

5 - Funda para guardar el libro electrónico sujeto con el colchón, hecha por Marian.
Para hacerla, aprovechó un trozo de tela que le quedó de cuando hizo la tapicería para la butaca y el reposapiés que os enseñó en su día.
Me he llevado una grata sorpresa, porque no me lo esperaba.

Por parte de mis padres, aparte de algo de dinero -que siempre viene bien- recibí lo siguiente:

6 - Anillo de plata bañado en oro rosa: Comprado en una tienda local (Zenz, en Zamora).



7- Pendientes de bisutería oro rosa: Comprado en la misma tienda que lo anterior. Como este tipo de pendientes suelen darme alergia, procuro no llevarlos varios días seguidos. Quedan muy bonitos puestos y me gusta que no lleven cierre de tuerca.

8 - Colonia "Como la noche" de Deliplus (Mercadona): Se me terminó la que estaba usando -y que pronto veréis en otra entrega de productos terminados - así que decidí probar una diferente. Sé que las de Deliplus tienen muchas adeptas, así que me decidí por esta, puesto que leí que recordaba a dos de mis perfumes favoritos: J'Adore de Christian Dior y Lolita Lempicka. Precio: 9€/100ml.
Aunque no es un parecido muy notable, me gusta como huele.

A continuación, un autorregalo:

9 - CD / DVD 'Travelling the world' de Roxette: Pues sí, me dí un caprichito y me hice con el último lanzamiento de mi grupo favorito, a los que tuve el placer de ver en concierto en el 2001 en Barcelona y diez años después en Tallinn (Estonia) -*aquí*-.
Lo pedí a Amazon -*aquí*-, que como siempre, ofrece un servicio de primera y un precio muy competitivo. Existe una versión en BlueRay.

Y por último, un gasto importante con el que no había contado para nada. Afortunadamente, tanto mis padres como Marian me ayudaron con un pellizquito.
Hace un año se me ocurrió la "brillante idea" de cambiar de coche, porque el que tenía -comprado importado de segunda mano- ya llevaba bastante conmigo y mis padres me animaron a que me cogiera un modelo mejor, "más coche", también comprado importado de segunda mano. Pues para mi desgracia, ese coche "mejor" lo he tenido que vender en el plazo de un año, tras llevar gastados cerca de 2.000€ en arreglos. Eso para mí, que odio conducir y apenas lo he usado -conmigo ese coche no habrá hecho ni 50 km de carretera, bastante más en ciudad-, es inadmisible. Lo dicho, que en 10.000km de uso no me parece ni medio normal semejante desembolso.
Así que tras recorrer varios concesionarios de la competencia, encontré un coche de Km0 (bueno, con 6km, para no mentir), ya matriculado, que tenía todo lo que yo necesitaba: cambio automático, sensores de aparcamiento, etc.
Lo cierto es que es un modelo bastante más grande de lo que estaba acostumbrada y me gusta (compacto de buen tamaño), pero me lo dejaron a buen precio, venía muy bien equipado y me dieron bastante por el coche que entregaba.

Espero tener mucha más suerte con mi tercer coche, aunque el "estreno" no ha sido todo lo bueno que habría sido deseable: Al montarme las ruedas de invierno que yo ya tenía en el concesionario, me estropearon -la máquina la  pinchó- una de las ruedas traseras  y me tocó cambiar ese par de ruedas.
Ya os imaginaréis qué gracia me hizo el tema, pero me consuelo pensando en que el coche es tan inteligente que me avisó del problema y con otro coche, hubiera conducido feliz en la ignorancia con grave riesgo de sufrir un reventón, con todo lo que eso conlleva.
El concesionario ha aceptado hacerse cargo del 50% de la factura. Confío en que ese sea el único problema que me dé en mucho, muuucho tiempo.
*Edito: Hoy día 15 de enero me lo han pagado.

Did you get many presents from Santa and the Three Wise Men? As for myself, I cannot really complain, as you can see below.

To start with, I received the following presents from Marian:

1 - This gorgeous enamel bracelet is a copy of the Frey Wille ones I first saw in Vienna some years ago. The original ones cost around €1,000, whereas these Aliexpress Chinese copies are waay cheaper.
Cheaper, definitely, but not cheap-looking. I was pleasantly surprised by the polished look this one has. The clasp is very curious and the seller made his due by sending the bracelet in a beautiful gift box.

2 - Yves Rocher 'Tradition de Hammam' Body Scrub:  Marian knows this is one of my fave body scrubs and that I hadn't used this in a while, so she got me a tub during her last visit to the Yves Rocher store. Haven't opened it yet, though we've *already* told you why we like it so much. The store usually has 2x1 offers or discounts of some sort, because otherwise this costs €23 with no such things, which is way too much imo.



3 - Lavender Foot polishing scrub from Yves Rocher: And on the subject of scrubs, Marian also knew that I had my eyes on this foot scrub and added it to her shopping basket this Christmas. Though unfortunately I still cannot wear nail polish on my toenails - it turned out my alledged 'nail fungus' was actually a really bad case of nail psoriasis - I like to take care of my feet so they look nice and soft to the touch.

4 - Lavender Foot Repair Balm from Yves Rocher: Just like the previous one, another product to keep my feet moisturized and soft.

5 - Handmade case for my e-reader, made by Marian. To be used to store the device under the matress.
She used a piece of fabric that was left when she made the upholstery for both her armchair and footstool that you could see in this blog.
It's been a big surprise for me, because I didn't expect it.



And from my parents, these are the gifts I got, besides some money -which always comes handy.

6 - Pink gold plated silver ring: Bought from a local store.

7 - Golden pink earrings: Purchased from the same store as the above. As I usually get a rash after wearing these sort of jewellery, I try not to wear them for many days straight. They look very pretty when worn and I like the fact that they don't come with screw backs.

8 - 'Como la noche (Like the night) Deliplus fragrance: I'd finished the one I'd been using -soon to be featured in another Empties post - so I decided to find a quick replacement in my latest visit to the nearest Mercadona supermarket. I know their range of fragrances have lots of fans, so I chose this after reading it reminded people of two of my favourite perfumes: J'Adore by Christian Dior and Lolita Lempicka. Price: €9 per 100ml.
Though it's not a spot-on resemblance, I like the scent all the same.

And next, this was a present to myself:

9 - 'Travelling the World' CD/DVD by Roxette: So what, I treated myself to a little something this XMas and bought the latest release of my favourite band, whom I had the pleasure of seeing live in concert both back in 2001 in Barcelona and then again 10 years later in Tallinn (Estonia) -*here*.

And finally, a large investment I had not been planning to make this Christmas. Thankfully, both my parents and Marian chipped in with some needed funds.
About a year ago I had the 'brilliant idea' of getting a new car, because my first car -a second-hand imported model- had already been with me for a good while and my parents were pushing me to buy myself a "better, more proper car", a second-hand import too.
Well, unfortunately I just had to sell this "better car" about a year later, because I had spent almost €2,000 in repairs. To me, who abhor driving and only drive if pushed - this second car had barely been taken on the road by me, making 50km at most, most of my driving was downtown- this was unacceptable. I didn't think it was
After visiting several local cardealers from rival makes, I found a car with almost 0Km (with 6km on it, to be exact), already licensed, which had everything I needed it to have: automatic transmission, parking sensors and others.
The truth is that this new car is larger than what I was used to and like (a good-sized SUV-type), but I got a pretty good deal, the car was really almost fully equipped and they gave me a decent enough amount of money for my former car.

I really, really hope to be luckier with my third car, though I'm afraid the first trip with it wasn't exactly uneventful: when mounting my former winter tyres, the guys at the car dealer's garage damaged -well, the machine made a flat on it- one the rear tyres and I had no choice but to replace both. 
You can imagine how pissed off I was, though in its favour I have to say the car's diagnosis system informed me of the problem straight away. In any other car, I might have gone on driving, blissfully ignorant and could have had a blow-out, which would have scared the s*it out of me for life. The car dealer has agreed to refund me 50% of the bill. I trust this will be the only problem with it in a really long, long time. 
*Edit: I got the refund today, 15th January.

Verano 2013: Pedicura con #211 Deliplus - Summer of 2013: Pedi with #211 Deliplus.

Aquí vengo con una entrada rapidita para enseñaros la pedicura que me hice con este esmalte de Deliplus.

¿Os gusta? Os enseño al trío protagonista.
En primer lugar, apliqué una capa de la base de calcio de Basic, después una capa de este esmalte, que tiene muy buena cobertura, y después, el top coat de alto brillo de Essence, que como sabéis, reservo para las pedicuras.

Esta pedicura me ha durado puesta entre 2 y 3 semanas en perfecto estado.

Bueno, esto es todo por el momento.

I'm back here with a quick post to show you my latest pedi with this polish from Deliplus.

Do you like it? Well, let's now see the three main stars of the show.



First of all, I applied a layer of the Basic from Schlecker base coat, then one coater polish followed by the high shine top coat from Essence to finish, which as you'll probably know, I use only for my pedis.

This pedi has lasted in good conditions for 2-3 weeks.
