Beautik: Apertura de tienda online / New online store

¡Hola!

Quizá ya lo sepáis, pero yo lo acabo de descubrir gracias al último post de ENIX *aquí*. Beautik, la cadena de perfumerías preferida por muchas, por la variedad de marcas disponibles, en las que la calidad no está reñida con el precio, dispone ya de tienda online.

This post may not come as a surprise for some Spanish readers, but I just found out thanks to ENIX latest blogpost *here*. Beautik is the place to go for the widest range of budget-friendly makeup brands here in Spain and to make your shopping experience even better, they now have an online store.

Personalmente, tan sólo he comprado en Beautik en tienda física (*Salamanca*), así que no os puedo hablar de aspectos como rapidez en el envío y demás.
A primera vista, os dejo mi apreciación personal de los pros y los contras.

I have only made my purchases at one of Beautik's brick & mortar stores (*Salamanca*), so I cannot speak from experience in terms of delivery times and so on.
At first glance, these are my thoughts on the pros & cons.

PROS:

- Variedad de marcas disponibles: Essence, Catrice, NYX, Prestige, Eco Tools, Layla, Sally Hansen, etc.
- Varias formas de pago: tarjeta de crédito, transferencia bancaria (Banesto).
- Gastos de envío gratis a partir de 50€ (el pedido mínimo son 10€).

PROS:

- Great assortment of brands: Essence, Catrice, NYX, Prestige, Eco Tools, Layla, Sally Hansen, etc.
- Several methods of payment available: credit card, wire transfer (Banesto).
- Free shipping for orders >50€ (minimum order amount is 10 EUR).

CONTRAS:

- No se puede pagar por Paypal
- Los gastos de envío dependen del lugar de residencia: península, Baleares o Canarias.
- El envío mediante Correos sólo está disponible para los pedidos de Canarias, Ceuta y Melilla.
- ¿Pedidos internacionales?

CONS:

- No Paypal payment available.
- Shipping costs vary depending on location: mainland Spain, the Balearic or Canary Islands.
- Shipping with the Spanish postal service is only available for orders from the Canaries, Ceuta and Melilla.
- No international orders?

Pecando en Bustillo - Giving in at Bustillo

Ayer a última hora nos pasamos por una de las tiendas que vende Essence y de las que os hablamos *aquí*, en concreto por la del centro que no es a la que vamos habitualmente y para nuestra sorpresa, no sólo tenían la discontinuación, sino que además ... (redoble de tambor): ¡han traído el mueble de tratamiento!.

Yesterday evening we popped into one of the beauty supply stores that sell Essence here we already blogged about *here*, i. e. the one downtown which is not the one we usually go to and to our surprise, not only did they have the items to be discontinued on clearance, but they also... *drumroll* have brought the second Essence display, the nail art one!

Así que como ya habréis deducido por el título de la entrada, nos hemos saltado la potidieta autoimpuesta y hemos cogido unas cosillas. Marian se compró el topper de purpurina 'Circus Confetti' y una de las sombras 'Taupe of the Pops' que véis en la foto. Para marox son los guantes, el pincel para delinear y la otra sombra topo.





And as you may have guessed from the title, we cheated on our self-imposed make-up diet and grabbed a few things. Marian got the glitter topcoat in 'Circus Confetti' and one of the 'Taupe of the Pops' eyeshadows. Marox got the nail & hand care gloves, the eyeliner brush and the other taupe eyeshadow.

Y al regresar, en otra tienda de productos de peluquería llamada 'La boutique del peluquero' nos llevamos otra sorpresa en el escaparate: la colección de esmates de craquelado de China Glaze. Ni idea de los precios o de si tienen más colecciones. Por lo visto, también tienen cosas de Peggy Sage, que estaban justo al lado en otro estante del escaparate y del que ya no hice foto con el móvil.

And on the way home, we passed by another beauty supply store called 'La boutique del Peluquero' and got another surprise when we stole a glance at the shop window: the China Glaze crackle collection. No idea of prices or availability of the brand beyond that LE. Apparently, they also have some Peggy Sage stuff, though I didn't snap any pic of that other shelf with my cellphone.

De visita por nuestra tienda de productos de peluquería / Visit to our beauty supplies shop

La única tienda que vende Essence en nuestra ciudad es en realidad una tienda de productos de peluquería, que últimamente está trayendo cosas interesantes. Recientemente, ha traído Catrice, aunque no el mueble completo, sino sólo algunas ediciones limitadas. Ahora mismo tienen cosas sueltas de la 'Big City Life' y acaban de traer la 'Hidden World'. Las fotos están hechas con el móvil y por Marox, lo cual explica que se vean peor de lo acostumbrado.




The only store that sells Essence in this town is actually a local beauty supplies store that has lately incorporated some interesting stuff. They recently started selling Catrice -unfortunately not the entire display- but only some LEs. Right now they have some leftovers from the 'Big City Life' TE and the just arrived 'Hidden World'. The pictures in this post were taken with our mobile phone and by Marox, which explains the lower quality than usual.

Aparte de las marcas habituales en este tipo de establecimientos como Cazcarra / Ten Image para maquillaje, también vende brochas para todos los bolsillos: Kubo Beauty para quienes no les importe gastarse un poco más y UBU para las que prefieren una opción más económica. Esta última marca podéis encontrarla en Beautik, si no nos falla la memoria.
Los productos de peluquería que vende, aparte de la linea profesional de L'Oreal, son de la firma italiana Intercosmo, que pertenece a The Colomer Group. Marian está ahora utilizando un gel activador de rizos de esa marca.

Beside the usual brands these stores carry here like Cazcarra/ Ten Image for make-up, they also sell brushes to suit every budget: Kubo Beauty for those who don't mind splurging a bit and UBU for those with a more modest budget. If our memory serves us right, this brand can also be found at Beautik stores.
Their haircare range, besides the professional L'Oreal line, are from the Italian brand Intercosmo, that belongs to The Colomer Group. Marian is currently using a curl activating gel from that brand.

En una de nuestras últimas visitas, descubrimos que habían traido unos sellos de nail art de la marca Nailxpress, que hasta hace poco (Subflava y Poemas) eran desconocidos en nuestro país y no eran muy conocidos fuera tampoco. Posteriormente, los hemos visto también en nuestra perfumería Douglas y parece ser que también está en Beautik. A diferencia de las placas de estampar, no hace falta raspador alguno y tras retirar el exceso de producto varias veces, se hace la estampación directamente desde el propio sello.

In one of our latest visits, we discovered they had also brought a small display with rubber nail art stamps that until very recently (Subflava and Poemas) were unheard of here in Spain and not very widespread in other places either. Since then, we've also seen these at our local Douglas perfumery and apparently, are now also available at Beautik. Unlike stamping plates, no scraper is needed and after removing the excess polish several times, stamping is done directly from the stamp.

En cuanto a Essence, para nuestra sorpresa, habían repuesto el mueble por completo ya que la discontinuación no la pondrán hasta finales de mes (veremos si no es más tarde). Tenían la 'Cristalliced', de la que Marox sólo compró un esmalte. También compró un peine "raqueta" para quitar los enredos con el pelo mojado, como los que usan en muchas peluquerías. Es de la marca Eurostil, que también encontramos en esta tienda y en otras similares.
De momento, sólo lo he usado una vez y me ha gustado. Me ha desenredado el pelo muy rápidamente.






As for Essence, to our surprise the display was fully restocked as they won't be having the Essence discontinuation/sales until the end of the month (experience tells us it'll probably be later). They had the 'Cristaliced' TE and Marox only got one polish. She also got a 'racket' comb to untangle hair when wet, as used by many hairdresser's. It's from the brand Eurostil, also sold at our local beauty supplies store and at many others.
So far I've only used this comb once, but it got the job done very easily and quickly.

Novedades de Catrice en Alemania / Catrice new releases hit Germany

Las novedades de Catrice comienzan a estar disponibles en las droguerías alemanas. Los primeros chuaches e impresiones nos los ofrece Samira, de Kunterbuntes aus meinem Alltag, *aquí*. A lo largo de la semana hablará de más productos, que tendrá la oportunidad de probar de primera mano junto a otras blogueras alemanas en Frankfurt en la presentación que ha preparado Catrice. De modo que estad atentas a los blogs alemanes, ya que a partir de ese momento nos irán ofreciendo sus primeras impresiones -así nos haremos una idea de lo que puede merecer la pena y lo que no.
En concreto, ella ha probado varias sombras y esmaltes nuevos:

* la sombra Intensif'eye Wet & Dry Shadow en el tono '010 Black or White Swan?': sombra cocida marmolada, con base negra y vetas doradas.
* la sombra Intensif'eye Wet & Dry Shadow en el tono '050 Lunch at Tiffany's': sombra cocida marmolada, de color marrón/beige grisáceo.
* la sombra mono Absolute Eye Colour en el tono '470 Golden Evergreen', un verde oliva con reflejos dorados. Según ella, recuerda a la sombra Sumptous Olive de MAC y le ha gustado mucho.
* la sombra mono Absolute Eye Colour en el tono '500 Hip Hop on the Tree Top', un verde oscuro mate, tipo verde camuflaje, que también le ha gustado mucho.

Catrice's newest releases are slowly hitting the German drugstores. Samira, from Kunterbuntes aus meinem Alltag has just blogged about her first purchases and impressions *here*. She'll be offering her thoughts on the new products throughout the week, which she will be able to try first-hand at the Catrice Event for bloggers to be held in Frankfurt next Tuesday.
So you'd better keep an eye on the German blogs, as they will start sharing their first impressions from then on. They'll be helpful in deciding what's worth a try and what not.
In the link provided above, she talks about her first purchases in the eyeshadow and polish department:

* Intensif'eye Wet & Dry Shadow in the shade '010 Black or White Swan?': marbled baked eyeshadow, black base and golden streaks.
* Intensif'eye Wet & Dry Shadow in the shade '050 Lunch at Tiffany's': marbled baked eyeshadow, brownish/greige.
* Absolute Eye Colour in the shade '470 Golden Evergreen', olive green single eyeshadow with golden shimmer to it. According to her, it bears a strong resemblance to Sumptous Olive from MAC and is very happy with it.
* Absolute Eye Colour in the shade '500 Hip Hop on the Tree Top' single eyeshadow, matte dark green, a camouflage-green kind of colour that has her raving too.

Samira nos enseña también tres de los nuevos esmaltes de uñas de Catrice:
*"740 King Of Green": un bonito verde con un ligero shimmer, que parece semimate.
*"800 Heavy Metalilac" : pues eso, un lila metalizado muy brillante.
*"780 Welcome To Rosywood", un tono rosado cremoso que le ha robado el corazón. En la linea del Chanel Confidentiel / Deliplus #13, en mi opinión *ver*.

Samira also has swatches of three of the new Catrice polishes:
*"740 King Of Green": a beautiful shimmerish green, looks demi matte to me.
*"800 Heavy Metalilac": self explanatory, a very vibrant metallic lilac.
*"780 Welcome To Rosywood", a creme pink shade she's fell in love with. Reminds me imho of Chanel Rose Confidentiel / Deliplus #13 *here*.
