Compras Rebajas 2020 / Sales Haul

Hola, chicas:

¿Qué tal lleváis el confinamiento? Nosotros al menos estamos ya todos en la misma ciudad. Mi padre tuvo una arritmia y estuvo unos días ingresado. Afortunadamente se encuentra muy bien.
Aquí venimos a enseñaros nuestras compras en las rebajas. Parece que fue hace un siglo.
Más vale tarde que nunca.

1 - Set Nars 'Torrid' (marox): Está claro que no se me puede sacar de casa. Marian y yo bajamos al centro a ver la decoración navideña antes de que la quitaran, un 5 de enero y para mi sorpresa, en el Sephora del centro ya habían empezado a poner rebajas. Como véis, me cogí este set de colorete y bálsamo labial con color del tono 'Torrid', que por lo visto es la versión "potente" del Orgasm. El precio rebajado fue de 18€.



2 - Pijama Harry Potter de Women' Secret (marox): Pues sí, con la excusa de las rebajas, piqué con otro. La parte de arriba, como la anterior, es muy abrigadita. El pantalón me quedaba muy ancho, pero afortunadamente tengo quien me lo ha sabido arreglar. El pijama era una talla L.

3 - Vestido Ralph Lauren de Zalando Privé (marox): A finales de febrero, con idea de estrenarlo en una cena con las compañeras de Burgos, me pillé este 'Little Black Dress' de Lauren de Ralph Lauren. Por 55,90 (sumado ya el envío) es un chollazo, porque esta marca tiene muy buena calidad. A precio Inditex tengo un vestido para toda la vida. Lo pedí en una talla menos -la 38 / 4 USA- que el que me compré el año pasado, que me queda un pelín grande. La referencia de éste sólo pone 'Dress Black Svet'
Tengo intención de estrenarlo por mi cumple en unos días, aunque sea para celebrarlo en casa.
No consigo que me queden bien las fotos al ser negro, así que os dejo una 'en condiciones' de la web de Zalando.

4 - Vaqueros y jersey de Köröshi (marox):
Ya van varias visitas en rebajas a esta tienda y en todas he picado con algo. En esta ocasión, con unos vaqueros y un jersey. Los vaqueros se quedaron en 19,99€ y el jersey, creo recordar que 15,99€. Los vaqueros son de la talla 40 y el jersey una... XS, ya que era de tipo oversize.

5 - Maquillaje mineral Sephora (marox): No sé si lo están retirando de tienda para dejarlo sólo online, pero no lo tenían a la vista en el stand y la chica que me atendió lo sacó de un cajón debajo del mueble. Sentiría mucho que lo retiraran porque me encanta, ya sea para utilizarlo sólo en los días en los que no tengo muchas ganas de pintarme pero quiero ir bien o para matificar y dar un tono más cálido a mi CC cream.
¿Conocéis algún otro maquillaje mineral compacto?

6 -  Toallitas quitaesmaltes Sephora (marox): Me parecieron muy prácticas para llevar de viaje -cuando se pueda, que no creo que sea pronto-. Por sólo 2 euros, se vinieron conmigo. No las he estrenado aún.

7 - Gel antibacteriano Sephora (marox):  Andaba buscando uno pequeño, para poder llevar en el bolso. Aprovechando la visita a Sephora, me hice con éste que estaba muy bien situado en la caja. Al ser de almendra, no reseca tanto como otros y huele muy rico.

8- Gel limpiador facial de coco Sephora (Marian).
Me costó 2€ en los precios locos.
Todavía no lo he probado, pero ya sabéis que todo lo que pone "coco" me llama.

9- Chaqueta y pantalones de Koröshi (Marian).
No recuerdo lo que me costaron, pero creo que fueron unos 20€ cada prenda.
La chaqueta ya la he estrenado.
Los pantalones aún no, pero lo haré en breve.

Hi girls,
How are you dealing with the lockdown? We are now at least spending it in the same city. Our father had an arrhythmia and spent a few days in hospital. Thankfully he's doing great.
Here we are ready to show you our purchases during this year's sales. It seems like it was a century ago, but better late than never, don't you think?

1 - Nars 'Torrid' Set (marox): This goes to show you can't take me out because I'll do some damage. Marian and I went downtown to see the Christmas decor before it was taken down and to my surprise, that January 5th Sephora already had some sales going. As you see, I got this set, containing a mini blush and lip balm in the shade 'Torrid', which apparently is Orgasm's more badass cousin. It was down to €18.

2 - Harry Potter Women' Secret pyjama (marox): Yes, I did give in again -blame the sales- and got another one. The top part is really warm and cozy. The bottoms were strangely large, nothing that my skilled mum and sister couldn't fix with a sewing machine.
I got these in a size L.

 

3 - Ralph Lauren dress from Zalando Privé (marox): I ordered this in late February with the idea of wearing it to a work dinner party with my female colleagues from Burgos. At €55.90 (I've added in the shipping) this Little Black Dress is a steal. At Inditex prices I have a top-quality piece. This time I ordered a size 38 / US 4, since the last one was a tad too loose. The label only reads 'Dress Black Svet'.
I intend to wear this on my birthday in a couple of days, even if I celebrate it at home, in lockdown.
I can't seem to get a decent picture of it since it's black, so I'm including one from Zalando's website.  

4 - Köröshi Jeans and Jumper (marox): I've been to this shop a few times during different sales and I never walk away empty-handed. The jeans were down to €19.99 and the jumper was €15.99, if memory serves. The jeans were a size 40 and the jumper was in an... XS, since it was an oversize model.

5 - Sephora Pressed Mineral Foundation (marox): I don't know whether they're discontinuing this to leave it as an online-only item, as it was nowhere to be seen in the Sephora counter. When I asked the salesgirl about it, she got it from a bottom drawer she pulled open.
Have you tried any other pressed mineral foundation in case this is indeed being discontinued?

6 - Nail polish remover wipes, Sephora (marox): These seemed really convenient for travel -whenever that is possible again, don't see that happening any time soon-. At only €2, they came home with me.
Haven't had a chance to test them yet.

7 - Antibacterial gel, Sephora (marox): I'd been looking for a pocket antibacterial gel for a while. This was very conveniently located by the checkout at Sephora and since I was there already...
It isn't as drying as others out there, since it contains almond oil and it does have a nice scent to it. 

8- Face coconut cleansing gel, by Sephora (Marian).
I paid €2 for it at the Sephora sales.
I haven't used it yet, but you already know that everything with the word 'coconut' seems to call me.

9- Cardigan and trousers from Koröshi (Marian).
I don't remember what I paid for them, but I think they were about €20 each garment.
I've already used the cardigan, but not the trousers (though I'll be using them soon).

Nuestras compras en Oslo - Shopping haul in Oslo.

En esta entrada os enseñamos nuestras compras en Oslo.

1 - Crema de manos de Korres, con aceite de almendra y manteca de karité (marox): En las perfumerías de Oslo tenían una sección de minitallas bastante apañada. Me gustó ésta, aparte de por la composición, por el formato. El tapón es difícil que se abra en el bolso por accidente.

2 - Mascarillas para varias dosis de AllAboutMe: Tenían una promoción, así que nos llevamos varias. Una peel off y otra de arcilla rosa y granada Marox, y Marian la de arcilla negra y arcilla verde.
Esta marca está fabricada en Corea para IT Cosmetics. No contienen microplásticos de ningún tipo.
Nos gusta mucho este formato, ya que al tener un tapón de rosca se conservan muy bien una vez abiertas y suelen dar de sí bastante, más de los 3 usos que prometen.





3- Mascarilla tisú de algas marinas de The Body Shop (Marian).
La compré en el aeropuerto de Oslo, para gastar las últimas coronas noruegas que me quedaban.

Ahora os enseñamos "las cosas de comer" que compramos durante nuestro viaje.

4- Tableta de chocolate con arándanos.
Siempre nos gusta comernos una onza de chocolate a media tarde.

5- Brunost, "queso marrón" típico de Noruega.
El sabor nos recuerda al queso en porciones ("quesitos"), con un toque caramelizado.
A nuestros padres no les hizo mucha gracia, pero a mi hermana y a mí nos encantó. Está buenísimo. No dejéis de probarlo si váis a Noruega.
A Molly también le ha gustado, puesto que viene a pedirnos un poquito cuando nos ve comerlo.



6- Salchichón de alce.
Estos nórdicos aprovechan todo tanto del reno como del alce.
Tiene un sabor muy intenso, al igual que la carne de reno.
Nos ha gustado mucho.

In this post we're showing you what we bought in Oslo.

1 - Korres almond oil & shea butter hand cream (marox): Drugstores in Oslo had a fairly big selection of travel-sized items. I liked this one, not only as it has a clean ingredient list but also because of the cap. It's hard for one of those to accidentally open in your purse.

2- Face masks for several uses from AllAboutMe: They had a promotion, so we got a handful of these. A peel off one (pink pearl), and a pink clay pomegranate one for Marox and Marian got the charcoal (black clay) one and the green tea (green clay) one.
This brand is manufactured in Korea for IT Cosmetics. They contain no microplastic.
We really like this mask format, with the cap helping preserve all the goodness inside once open and besides these always allow more than the advertised 3 uses.





3- Seaweed sheet mask from The Body Shop (Marian).
I bought it at Oslo airport, to spend the last Norwegian Crowns I still had.

 And now we want to show you the 'food stuff' we got during our trip.

4 - Blueberry Chocolate bar. We like to have a square as an evening pick-me-up. 

5- Brunost or 'Brown Cheese' which is typical from Norway. The flavour reminded us of those 'The Laughing Cow' cheese snacks, but with a fudgy, caramelly touch.
Our parents are not too daring when it comes to trying out foreign stuff, but my sister and I both LOVED it. It's delicious and one thing you need to try if you ever go to Norway.
Molly liked it very much too, she always asks for some when we're eating a bit.

6- Elk cured sausage: Scandinavian peoples certainly make the most of both reindeer and elk.
It does have a strong flavour, same thing with reindeer meat. We really enjoyed it.

Compras Rebajas 2019 / Sales Haul 2019 (I)

Hola, chicas:

¿Pensábais que no íbamos a picar con las rebajas? Pues sí. Esto es lo que compramos.

Os enseñamos primero las compras de ropa en rebajas.
En primer lugar, unas compras en Koroshi, tienda con una estética similar a Desigual, pero con precios mucho más normales y buenas promociones.

1 - Pantalón vaquero gris (marox): El precio original era de 39,99€ y estaba rebajado a 19,99€. Es la talla 40 (tienen desde la talla 34 a la 44). Me gusta que el tejido es algo elástico, que siempre se ajusta mejor al cuerpo.

2 - Pantalón vaquero azul oscuro (marox): Al igual que el anterior, marcaba 39,99€ y se quedó en 19,99€. Tiene la pata algo más ancha que el gris. La tela es también un poco elástica.

3- Pantalón vaquero azul claro (Marian).
Es la talla 40. Marcaba 39,99€ y se quedó en 17,99€. Al igual que los anteriores, el tejido es elástico.

4- Pantalón vaquero azul oscuro (Marian).
También en la talla 40. Marcaba 42,99€ y se quedó en 19,99€. El tejido también es elástico.

Me encantan los detalles que ambos tienen en la cinturilla y los bolsillos traseros.

5- Pijama "In Extenso" (Marian).
Había desechado uno que se me había deteriorado mucho, y lo he sustituido por éste.
Marcaba 14,99€ y se ha quedado en 8,99€.
Lo compré en Alcampo.
Es muy cómodo y calentito.

6- Botines Pitillos (Marian).
En una reciente visita a Zamora, compré estos botines. Los últimos que compré estaban los pobres hechos polvo, porque les he dado mucha caña.
Ya los he estrenado, y puedo deciros que son comodísimos.
Me costaron 59€.

Y ahora os enseñamos lo que compramos en Gangamanía, una feria de stock en Burgos.

7- Botines Xti (Marian).

Me gustaron mucho tanto el color como el diseño, y el detalle que tiene atrás.
Aunque tiene el tacón más alto de lo que yo suelo llevar, me pareció bastante cómodo.
También es cierto que me las probé unos minutos. Espero que sigan siendo cómodos cuando les dé tralla.



8- Jersey azul con detalles plateados (Marian).
Me gustó mucho el color (casi es igual que el de los botines), y los detalles plateados no son estridentes. Es muy calentito, perfecto para estos días de frío.
En la foto veis que marcaba 49,95€. Pagué por él 18€, así que realmente fue una ganga.

9 - Zapatillas Xti (Mar): También las compré en esta feria. Tenían una promoción y comprando dos pares -éstos míos y los botines de Marian- salían a X€.
Las he usado ya varias veces. La derecha entra mejor que la izquierda, que me cuesta bastante meter. No sé vosotros, pero mi pie izquierdo es siempre más problemático en cuanto se refiere a calzado. Una vez puestas, son bastante cómodas -aunque no tanto como mis Sketchers Hollywood Rose-. Me gustan éstas porque al ser oscuras pegan con todo y tienen el detalle de los brillos que les da un toque sin ser muy cantosas.

Did you think we let the sales pass us by empty-handed? No, we didn't. Here are the clothes we got during the sales.

First off, a few things from Koroshi. We love their Desigual vibes for a fraction of the price. Besides, they have promotions on a regular basis.

1 - Grey Jeans (marox): It was marked down from €39.99 to €19.99. It's a size 40 -their stock ranges from a size 34 to 44)-.
I like the fact that the fabric is a bit stretchy, as they hug the body better.

2 - Navy Blue Jeans (marox): Again, marked down from €39.99 to €19.99. The bottom leg is slightly wider than on the other pair. The fabric is stretchy as well.

3- Light blue jeans (Marian).
It's a size 40. It was marked down from €39.99 to €17.99.
As the others above, the fabric is a bit stretchy.

4- Dark blue jeans (Marian).
It's also a size 40. It was marked down from €42.99 to €19.99.
It also comes in a stretchy fabric.



I love the decorations both of them have on the waist band and back pockets.

5- 'In Extenso' pyjamas (Marian).
It's a replacement for another one that was really well-worn.
It was marked down from €14.99 to €8.99.
I bought it at Alcampo supermarket.
It's very warm and comfy.

6 - Ankle boots from Pitillos (Marian): I got this on a recent trip to our hometown, Zamora. The ones I'd last bought there are looking a little bit worse for wear, because I've worn them pretty much nonstop.
I have already worn this new pair and they're really comfortable too. These retailed at €59. 

And finally, the stuff we got at a local discount fair, Gangamanía.




7 - Xti Ankle Boots (Marian): I liked both the colour and the design, as well as the laces at the back.
Even though the heel is higher than what I usually wear, it felt fairly comfortable. That being said, I only tried them for a few minutes, so I hope they will be equally comfy as they get through the wars.

8- Silvery Blue Jumper (Marian):
I really liked the colour -almost the same as in the boots-  and the fact that the silver threading is not very gaudy. It is very warm, perfect for the cold weather.



You'll see what this retailed for in the pic, €49.95, but was marked down to €18, so it was a bargain indeed.

9 - Zapatillas Xti (Mar): Also bought at the fair. They had a special deal that if you bought two (these and the ones Marian got) you paid x€ for both. The left shoe is a lot harder to put on than the right one. I don't know about you, but my left foot is slightly bigger than the right one and that's why I sometimes struggle when shopping for footwear.
Once you have them on, they're quite comfy, although not as much as my Sketchers Hollywood Rose-. What I like about these is the fact that they're black, as you can combine them better and the silvery specks give it a nice touch without them being too flashy.

De compras en Varsovia - Shopping in Warsaw.

Aquí estamos para enseñaros lo que compramos durante nuestras vacaciones en Varsovia.

1- Esmalte "Sensationail" para manicura de gel (Marox).
Lo compré en TKMaxx. Lo he usado sólo una vez y después lo regalé. No porque no me gustara.



2- Esmalte de Alessandro, en color topo (Marox).
También lo compré en TKMaxx.
Al cambio costó alrededor de 1,25€.
Ya lo he utilizado para una pedicura.

3- Pastillero con estuche.
También lo compramos en TKMaxx.
Este se lo hemos regalado a nuestra madre, y le ha encantado. Lo del estuche es un puntazo. Es monísimo.



4- Zapatillas flexibles (Marox).
Marian tiene unas de este estilo que le regalaron en una despedida de trabajo.
Fue el típico regalo de broma. Lo que no se imaginan sus antiguas compañeras es que las usa muchísimo en los viajes.
Pues bien, yo tenía ganas de unas así.
Las vi en Rossmann y no me pude resistir.
Hace tiempo compré otras en Primark, pero el elástico no se ajustaba bien y se me salían todas. Éstas ajustan bien sin apretar en ningún momento. 

Ahora os enseñamos nuestras compras en Inglot.

En algunos de nuestros viajes hemos entrado en las tiendas de Inglot, pero nunca habíamos comprado nada... hasta ahora.

5- Duraline (Marox).
Me imagino que ya sabéis lo que es.
Es un líquido para trabajar las sombras, y que éstas se adhieran mejor al párpado y duren más. También sirve para "revivir" productos que se han ido secando con el paso del tiempo.



6- Paleta Freedom System (Marian).
Compré esta paleta para 4 sombras.
Me encanta el sistema de cierres imantados.

7- Sombras Inglot (Marian).
Después de comprar la paleta, había que llenarla.
Me gustaron mucho las sombras "degradadas". Es como tener 3 en 1.
Compré las sombras 122, 31, 124 y 605.



Hasta aquí nuestras compras en Varsovia.
Bueno, también compramos los típicos souvenirs y algunos regalos para la familia.

Como os contamos en la última entrada sobre nuestro viaje, pasamos mucho tiempo en la estación de Chamartín, y lo aprovechamos al máximo.

Todo lo que compramos fue en The Body Shop. Aprovechamos una oferta de 3x2 que estaba a punto de terminar.

8- Manteca de almendras (Marox).
¡¡Por fin!! Después de tanto tiempo buscando esta manteca sin éxito, por fin la encontré, después de que haya estado años retirada. Volví a verla hace poco en la web y pregunté por ella.
Es que la primera vez que la probé me encantó, y cuando la quise reponer, fue totalmente imposible.

9- Manteca de melocotón (Marox).
Dentro de las que estaban incluidas en la oferta, fue una de las que más nos gustó en su momento, junto con la que compró Marian, que os enseñará a continuación.

10- Manteca de frambuesa (Marian).
La que más me gusta del mundo mundial es la de moringa, pero esa no estaba en la oferta (qué pena), pero ésta de frambuesa también me gustó mucho. Me encantan los olores afrutados para los productos de cuidado corporal.

Bueno, pues esto ha sido todo.

Hi there, gorgeous

Here we are ready to share with you what we bought during our stay in Warsaw.

1 - Gel polish 'Sensationail' (Marox): I bought it at TK Maxx. Have used it only once to test it and then gave it away, not because I didn't like it.

2 - Alessandro nail polish in taupe (Marox): Again, a TK Maxx purchase. It was about €1.25. Have already used it on a pedi.



3 - Pill case. Another TK Maxx find. We got this for our mum and loved it. The shiny zippered case is really cool and cute.

4 - Fuzzy slippers (Marox): Marian has something similar that was actually a prank present she got from her former workmates at a farewell party. What they have no idea is how she's used hers for travelling.
Anyway, I really wanted to get something similar. I found these at Rossmann and couldn't stay away. A long time ago I got another pair from Primark, but the elastic on those was way too loose and flimsy and they would slip out all the time. These won't budge but at the same time they're comfy.



And now it's time to show you what we got on Inglot.

There have been several trips where we've come across the odd Inglot store, but had never bought anything... until now.

5- Duraline (Marox): I guess you know what this is. This fluid helps eyeshadows stick to your lid and last longer. It also brings dried out products back to life.

6 -  Freedom System Eyeshadow palette (Marian): I bought this 4-pan palette with 4 eyeshadows. I really like the magnets that keep the palette closed.



7 - Inglot Eyeshadows (Marian): After getting the palette, I had to fill it out, didn't I?
I really liked their gradient shadows, as it's like having a 3 in 1. I bought shades no. 122, 31, 124 and 605.

That's it for our Warsaw Haul. In addition to this, we also bought the odd souvenir and a couple presents for the family.

As we mentioned in the last installment of our Warsaw travel series, we had several hours to kill in Chamartín train station in Madrid and we certainly made good use of said time.

Everything we got was from The Body Shop, who were having their last days of sales.

8 - Almond Body Butter (Marox). It was about time!! I'd been searching for this for sooo long, and it was sadly discontinued. I'd seen it back on their website and I asked the shop assistant about it.
It's the first one I ever tried and loved it so much I was really bummed not to find it again.



9 - Peach body butter (Marox): This was another butter that was part of their sales. I've tried it before and enjoyed it enough to get it again, same as Marian did with hers.



10 - Raspberry Body Butter (Marian): My holy grail butter will always be their Moringa one, but that's sadly never on sale (just my luck!). The raspberry one is nice too, especially if you're fond of fruit-scented body products.

Mi última gran adquisición: Nikon D5600 - My latest great purchase: Nikon D5600.

Hola, chicas:

Aquí estoy para enseñaros mi última gran adquisición: la cámara reflex Nikon D5600.

Os preguntaréis si se me ha estropeado la D3000. Pues la verdad es que no. Funciona como el primer día.

La idea inicial fue renovar el cuerpo de cámara (los objetivos me valen), y luego vender por eBay el antiguo, aprovechando que todavía funciona, y poder sacar algo de dinero para compensar la compra de la nueva cámara.

Pero la idea inicial ha cambiado.
No sé si os he contado que la pasión por la fotografía me viene de familia. Mi abuelo era fotógrafo, y mi padre también lo fue durante unos años (lo dejó a principios de los 80).
Así que he pensado regalarle la D3000 (de hecho ya la tiene él), y que redescubra la fotografía.
Cada vez que le hablo de archivos RAW le hacen los ojos chiribitas, así que tengo que ir poco a poco.
Pero bueno, ya se va acostumbrando a hacer fotos con ella.
Si mi abuelo levantara la cabeza... eso de hacer fotos sin carrete...



Bueno, a lo que iba, que me disperso.
En casi 8 años desde que compré la D3000, han cambiado algunas cosas.
La D5600 tiene más resolución: 24 Mpx frente a los 10,2 de la D3000. Pero no todo en la vida son los megapíxeles.

La diferencia principal, para no entrar en tecnicismos y aburriros con esta entrada, es que la D5600 graba vídeo en full HD (la D3000 no graba vídeo; sólo hace fotos).
Lo del vídeo reflex es nuevo para mí, así que tengo que aprender algunas cosillas antes.

Se me ocurre una manera de inaugurar esta capacidad de mi nueva cámara, así que permaneced atentas.

Otra característica de esta cámara es la pantalla abatible, que creo que va a ser muy útil para grabar vídeo, pero también para la fotografía macro, por ejemplo.
La pantalla es táctil, algo a lo que aún me tengo que acostumbrar. Ya he tocado la pantalla con la nariz al acercar el ojo al visor, y sonó un pitido (nada grave).

He comprado esta cámara por eBay (ha sido la compra más cara que he hecho en esta plataforma), pero la experiencia ha sido muy positiva.
Aproveché un cupón de descuento del 10% sólo para la app.
El precio inicial de la cámara, con el objetivo 18-55 VR, era de 525€, pero con el descuento se quedó en 475€, así que genial.
Pero lo cierto es que en otras tiendas online la tenían MUCHO más cara, a 899€.
La compré a *este* vendedor, y llegó a través de UPS un día antes de que comenzara el plazo previsto de entrega, así que la experiencia no ha podido ser más positiva.

Ahora sólo me toca sacarle el máximo partido posible.

I'm really excited to show you my latest great purchase: my new DSLR, the Nikon D5600.

You'll probably be wondering if the old D3000 broke down. No, it still works like a charm, like on day one.

The initial idea was to renew the camera body (I can use my lenses with the new one), and then sell the old camera body on eBay. Considering it still works I could get some money to offset buying the new one.



But the initial idea changed.
I don't know if I told you that my passion for photography runs in the family.
Both my father and grandfather were photographers (they quit in the early 80s).
So I thought about giving my father the D3000 (in fact he already has it), and let him rediscover photography.
Every time I tell him about RAW files he looks at me nonplussed, so I guess I'll have to take it easy.
For now, he's getting used to taking pictures with it.
If my grandfather was alive... taking pictures without a roll film would definitely leave him speechless.

Anyway, I digress.
Since I bought the D3000, almost 8 years ago, some things have changed.
The D5600 has more resolution: 24 Mpx, compared to the 10.2 of the D3000.
But megapixels are not the most important thing.

I don't want to bore you with technical terms. The main difference is that the D5600 records video at full HD resolution (the D3000 just takes photos; no video at all).
Everything about DSLR video is completely new for me so I will have to learn some things before.

I already have an idea on how to use this new feature, so stay tuned.

This new camera has a Vari-angle monitor, which I think will be very useful not only for video but also for macro photography, for example.
I'm getting used to the touchscreen. I already touched the screen with my nose when looking through the viewfinder, and then I heard a beep (nothing serious).



This has been my most expensive purchase at eBay, but the experience couldn't have been more positive.
I was lucky enough to put a 10% off coupon to good use, only available for the app.
The initial price of the camera, with the 18-55 VR lens was 525€, but after redeeming the coupon during the purchase process, I finally paid 475€, which was great.
I saw it on other websites at €899, which is MUCH more expensive.
I ordered it from *this* seller and arrived through UPS one day before the delivery deadline began, so another point for them.

Now all I have to do is try to make the most of it.

De compras en Barcelona - Shopping in Barcelona.

Como siempre en nuestras entradas de viajes, os enseñamos lo que hemos comprado en Barcelona, entrada que sirve de colofón a nuestra serie sobre esta ciudad.

1 - Manteca TBS: Si recordáis, Marian estuvo un poco pachucha uno de los días, por lo que decidimos tomárnoslo con calma y pasar el rato en la zona de tiendas de Sants y dando un paseo. Una de nuestras paradas fue en The Body Shop y aprovechamos que estaban de rebajas.

Aunque había varias mantecas rebajadas, decidí hacerme con ésta, ya que no la había probado aún.



2- Gel antibacteriano de mango de TBS.
Me parece perfecto para llevar en el bolso. Así, podremos limpiarnos las manos aunque no tengamos un lavabo cerca.

3- Crema de manos de leche de almendras y miel de TBS.
Otra que es perfecta para llevar en el bolso.
Podremos hidratar nuestras manos en todo momento.



4- Aceite sólido para labios de TBS.
Un básico para el invierno, sobre todo, cuando nuestros labios se deshidratan por el frío.

5- Crema de manos de aceite de argán. Marox quería cremas de manos que fueran bastante hidratantes, con idea de darle alguna a nuestro padre. Claro está, no se acuerda nunca de que le hemos regalado cremas de manos y usa lo que pilla.




Lo cierto es que aún no hemos probado ninguno de estos productos.

6- Pijamas de verano, de Primark.
Sí, ya sé que se hace raro enseñaros ahora unos pijamas de verano. Con el frío que hace...
Es lo que pasa cuando tardas demasiado en escribir las entradas.



7- Luces led decorativas, de Primark.
Con estas luces hemos adornado la sala de estar estas navidades.
Funcionan con pilas.



De Primark nos encantó la sección de decoración (de donde salieron las luces led).
Tenían una cantidad de cosas... Cojines, edredones..., con unos estampados y colores preciosos.
Entraba todo por los ojos.

En nuestra visita a Barcelona, también picamos en la tienda japonesa Muji, que estaba dentro de un centro comercial.

8- Bolígrafo de 6 colores, de Muji.
No os imagináis las ganas que tenía Marox de uno de éstos. Así que cuando lo vio, no pudo resistir la tentación de meterlo a la cesta.

9- Cinta métrica, de Muji.
Esta sí que fue amor a primera vista. Directa a la cesta. Era la única que les quedaba en la tienda. Mide 2 metros. Cabe perfectamente en el bolso.
No os imagináis la de cosas que llevamos en el bolso. Así pesa.



De Muji nos llamó mucho la atención unos muebles en madera maciza, de estilo nórdico, muy minimalista.
A mi padre, le compramos un juego de minidestornilladores que le han venido muy bien. Los venden *aquí*.

El día que vimos La Pedrera, la Casa Batlló..., compramos este colgante y este prendedor de diseño modernista.
El colgante se lo regalamos a mi madre, y el prendedor me lo he quedado yo.



Marox compró esta alfombrilla para el ratón de diseño modernista para nuestro padre, a quien nunca sabemos muy bien qué regalar.

En otro de los ratos que aprovechamos para hacer compras, entramos en Lush, y compramos la crema Charity Pot. Es muy hidratante, se puede usar en cualquier zona propensa a la sequedad pero no como crema facial.
Con la compra nos dieron 2 muestras de acondicionador American Cream.

En un puesto de un centro comercial (no recuerdo cuál), vendían una especie de mini velas aromáticas que no habíamos visto nunca.
Nos dio curiosidad y compramos estas que veis. Había 7 diferentes.
Se quita el tapón, se saca la mecha y se enciende durante 20 segundos. Se apaga y se coloca sobre una superficie de manera que la vela se mantenga en vertical.
Y a disfrutar del aroma.

Y cómo no, algunos souvenirs.

Estos pendientes, que a Marox le encantaron.
La verdad es que son chulísimos. Los compró muy baratitos en unos puestos del Parque Güell.



Y nuestros consabidos imanes de nevera, incluyendo un par de ellos que a la vez son abrebotellas.

Bueno, con esta entrada de compras finalizamos nuestra serie sobre Barcelona.

As we always do, we dedicate a special post to show you our purchases in Barcelona, the final post in our latest travel series.

1 - TBS Body Butter: You may remember that Marian was a bit under the weather one day and that we decided to take it easy. We spent the afternoon at the shops in Sants station and taking a walk around the area.
One of our stops was at The Body Shop, especially since they had sales. There was a selection of marked down body butter, but I got this as I had never tried it before.

2 -  Mango antibacterial gel from TBS.
These are very handy, the perfect size for anyone's purse. That way you can have clean hands regardless of whether there's a washbasin nearby or not.



3 -  Almond Milk & Honey Handcream from  TBS.
Another travel-sized item that is a handbag essential. No excuses not to keep your hands moisturized.

4 -  Solid Oil Lip Balsam from TBS.
A winter must-have, as that's when the cold weather makes your lips be at their driest.



5 -Wild Argan Oil Handcream: Marox wanted a really moisturizing one to give our dad, but he rarely remembers we have given him any and just uses whatever is avalable.

The truth is we haven't tried any of these yet.

6 - Summer pyjamas, from Primark.
Yeah, I'm well aware that it's really odd to show summer pyjamas with this freezing weather.
This is what happens when you take too long to write your posts.



7- Battery-operated LED lights from Primark.
We used this garland to spruce up the décor in our dining room this Christmas.

We simply fell in love with Penney's home decor section -where we got the LED string from. It was homeware galore... They had anything from cushions, duvet covers, you name it. The patterns and colours were beyond gorgeous.
It was a feast for the eyes.







While in Barcelona, we could also peek into a Muji store. The Japanese retailer we visited was located inside a shopping mall.
And yes, we did buy a few things there too.

8- 6-colour ballpen, from Muji.
You can't imagine how much Marox loves these ballpens. So when she saw it, she couldn't help putting it into the basket.



9- Measuring tape, from Muji.
This was love at first sight.
It was the only one left at the store, so it went directly to the basket. The tape is two meters long. It is the perfect size to carry in your purse.
You can't imagine how full our purses are. That's why they're so heavy.

What we liked the most from Muji were their wooden furniture, nordic style.

We also bought a mini screwdriver set for our father. He found it very useful. You can find it *here*.

The day we visited La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, we bought this pendant and this hair barrette.
The pendant is a gift for our mother, and the barrette was a gift to myself.




Marox bought this modernista style mouse pad for our dad, the person we struggle the most when it comes to gifting.



One of the days we went shopping, we got into Lush, and bought their 'Charity Pot' all-purpose cream -not to be used as a face cream, though.
We were given two samples of 'American Cream' hair conditioner.



In a shopping mall I can't remember now, we found this kind of mini scented candles which we'd never seen.
We were very intrigued by them and bought these ones. There were 7 different ones.



You have to take the lid out, pull the wick out and light the candle for 20 seconds.
Then put out the candle, and place it vertically.
Now enjoy the scent.

And last, some souvenirs.
Marox bought these beautiful earrings. It was a cheap trinket that she found at an impromptu stall inside the Park Güell.
And, as usual, some magnets including a couple that are also bottle openers.
