Hola de nuevo:

Aprovechando que KIKO dispone por fin de *tienda online*, hemos hecho un pequeño pedido. Nos llegó el viernes 13/1 mediante mensajero de UPS. El paquete venía desde Italia y ha llegado todo bien. El único aspecto negativo es que el pedido mínimo era de 25 euros, así que
hemos pedido alguna cosita más hasta alcanzar ese importe. Pero bueno, hemos aprovechado que había algunas cosas interesantes rebajadas.

El artículo que más nos interesaba era de edición limitada: la famosa Mixing Solution, similar al Duraline de Inglot y otros. Al tratarse de un artículo de Edición Limitada, no hemos querido esperar mucho tiempo para no quedarnos sin él. Aún no lo hemos probado, pero tenemos pensados un par de retos para este producto. Ya os contaremos.

Hi again,

We've done a small KIKO haul, thanks to the fact that they now have an *online store*. We got our order on Friday 13/1 and it was shipped from Italy via UPS. Everything came fine. The only downside to it is the fact that the minimum order is 25 EUR and we had to therefore add some extra stuff to get there. But as Kiko had some nice discounts on several of their most popular products, it wasn't too bad.

The item we were interested in the most was from a LE, the praised Mixing Solution, similar to Inglot's Duraline and others. As it's a LE item we didn't want to wait and risk it not being in stock anymore. We haven't tried it yet, but we have some challenges with this product in mind. We're telling you soon.

Todas las sombras tienen un tacto muy sedoso, no son nada tizosas, y pigmentan muy bien.

All the eyeshadows are very silky to the touch, they're not chalky at all, and the colour payoff is great.

De repente, Marian pensó que la sombra 114 de KIKO se parecía a la "Label Whore" de Too Faced, así que como todavía le quedaba algún dedo libre, hizo un "chuache" justo al lado de la 114 de KIKO. La verdad es que pueden tener cierto parecido, pero no son clones en absoluto.

La sombra de Too Faced tiene un fondo rojizo que no tiene la de KIKO.

Suddenly, Marian thought that the KIKO 114 eyeshadow resembled 'Label Whore' from Too Faced, so as she still had one finger for this, made a swatch next to 114's from KIKO. The truth is that they have some similarities, but they're not dupes at all.

The eyeshadow from Too Faced has reddish undertones that KIKO's one doesn't.

Con lo que nos hemos llevado una grata sorpresa ha sido con el jumbo para ojos. Es de larga duración..., pero de verdad. Después de quitar los chuaches del brazo con una toallita, este es el aspecto que presentaba el chuache del jumbo.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the eyeshadow pencil. It's really long lasting, like... for real!. After removing the swatches on the arm with a baby wipe, this is what the swatch of the eyeshadow pencil looked like.

Definitely we can't get out of home. If we go out, we buy; and what do we buy? Make-up. Even on Sunday.

Seguramente estaréis pensando que los domingos las tiendas están cerradas (bueno, las de los chinos yo creo que no, pero ese es otro tema); pero para eso está el mercadillo: para salir de compras también en domingo.

You'll surely think that stores are closed on Sunday (I think it's not the same with Chinese euro stores, but that's another issue); but that's why street markets do exist: to go shopping also on Sunday.

Así que sin más dilación, voy a enseñaros lo que compramos.

So without further ado, this is what we bought.

Como veis, esta entrada bien podría ser un "haul" de L'Oreal HIP, porque todo lo que compramos es de esa marca.
Buscando y revolviendo entre las cestitas donde la vendedora tenía los productos, se me fueron los ojos a estos que veis.
Lo primero que ví fueron los dúos de sombras. Si no recuerdo mal, sólo tenían estos dos, así que no se iban a quedar en la cesta. Son el 318 "Flashy" y el 208 "Sassy". Vienen perfectamente precintados, pero supongo que los abriré para haceros los "chuaches". Además, tengo ganas de probar en persona cómo pigmentan. Todavía no hemos decidido cuál elegiremos cada una.

As you can see, this post could be a L'Oreal HIP haul, because all the things we purchased are from that brand.
Rummaging through all the beauty products the seller had in the baskets, then I had my eye on these you can see.
The first thing I saw were these eyeshadow duos. If I'm not wrong, these were the only ones in the basket, so they couldn't stay there anymore. They are 318 'Flashy' and 208 'Sassy'. Both are perfectly sealed, but I guess I'll open them to do the swatches. Besides, I'm very eager to try them on to check the pigmentation. We haven't decided yet which one we will choose.

Además, compramos estos labiales líquidos. De izquierda a derecha, 760 "Tainted", 780 "Indestructible", 660 "Euphoric", y de nuevo 760 "Tainted" (porque nos quedaremos uno cada una). De los otros dos, yo me quedaré con el "Indestructible" y marox con el "Euphoric".
No los hemos abierto todavía, pero prometemos "chuaches" (quizá los haga de todo antes de subir esta entrada).

Besides, we bought these liquid lipsticks. From left to right, 760 'Tainted', 780 'Indestructible', 660 'Euphoric', and 760 'Tainted' again (one for each one of us). From the other two, I'll choose 'Indestructible' and 'Euphoric' will be for marox. We haven't opened them yet, but we promise to do the swatches (maybe I'll do them all before uploading this post).

LDED / LOTD: Morado con Essence - Purple with Essence

¿Cómo lleváis la Navidad? Espero que bien.

Hoy regreso con otro de mis look rápidos, en esta ocasión en tonos morados, utilizando dos sombras mono de Essence ya retiradas, en el tono #16 'Go Glam' y la #19 'Disco Diva'.
La sombra más rosada, la apliqué en el párpado móvil y la morada en la cuenca. Para iluminar, la sombra color crema del trío 'Babushka's Dream' de la EL 'Secrets of the Past' que ya tenemos en las últimas.




How are those Christmas holidays going? I hope you're doing good.

I'm back with another quick look, this time in purple shades, using two now discontinued mono e/s from Essence in the shades #16 'Go Glam' and #19 'Disco Diva'. I applied the pink shade on my lid and the purple one in the crease. I highlighted my browbone using again the cream-coloured shadow in the 'Babushka's Dream' trio from the 'Secrets of the Past' LE and where we hit pan on long ago.

Para delinear, utilicé si mal no recuerdo el gel liner morado de Essence, de la colección fija. Para las pestañas, la máscara Blackmania.
En los labios, tomé prestado a Marian uno de sus nuevos pintalabios de Nyx, el Lala. Por cierto, que en mí se ve mucho más oscuro que en ella, tanto que no parece el mismo. Os dejo una foto para que podáis comprobarlo por vosotras mismas.





I think I lined my eyes using the purple gel liner from Essence, the one in the core collection. Blackmania mascara on my lashes. For my lips, I borrowed one of Marian's latest Nyx lipsticks, Lala. Btw, it looks a lot darker in me than in her, so much that it doesn't even look the same. Here's some photographic evidence to back up my claims.

Look: dorado con Catrice y Essence - gold with Catrice and Essence

Hace unos días Marian compartió con vosotras un look de ojos inspirado en Gadirroja, y aprovechando que hicimos fotos del que lucí yo ese día, he decidido subirlas.

El mío era bastante más sencillo y muy rápido, ideal para cuando tenemos poco tiempo.




A few days ago Marian shared with you an EOTD inspired by Gadirroja and, as we'd taken pics of what I wore that day, I decided to upload those too. Mine was a very easy and quick look, great for when you don't have much time to waste.

Como estoy bastante vaga, tan sólo utilicé el pincel de Smoky Eyes de Essence tanto para aplicar como para difuminar las sombras. En cuanto a sombras, utilicé la sombra de Catrice en el tono #070 'Mr. Copper's Fields' en todo el párpado móvil, aplicada encima de la prebase de Rival de Loop, seguida de la sombra marrón mate del trío 'Babushka's Dream' de la EL 'Secrets of the Past' en la cuenca. Para iluminar el arco de la ceja, la sombra color crema de esa misma paletita, que está ya bastante gastada.

As I'm a bit lazy lately I only used my Essence Smokey Eyes brush both to apply the shadows and to blend them. As for the shadows themselves, I used the Catrice eyeshadow in #070 'Mr. Copper's Fields' on the lid, on top of my Rival de Loop eyeshadow base. For the crease, I used the matte brown shadow in the trio 'Babushka's Dream' from the TE 'Secrets of the Past'. To highlight the browbone, the cream-coloured eyeshadow from the same trio, which is quite worn out.

Creo recordar que para delinear utilicé el gel liner negro de la Sunclub de Essence, aplicado con el pincelito de la EL Metallics. Por cierto, que el eyeliner que venía en las paletas de sombras nos ha sorprendido muy gratamente. La aplicación y la intensidad del color sigue siendo tan buena como el primer día. La máscara de pestañas, supongo que la Blackmania de Essence.

I seem to recall that I lined my eyes using the LE Sunclub black eyeliner from Essence, applied with the little brush that came with the Metallics TE also from Essence. By the way, the gel liner included in the e/s palettes from the said LE has been a very pleasant surprise. Application and colour payoff is as good as new. My mascara of choice that day was most likely Blackmania (now discontinued) from Essence.

Hasta hace poco, la única forma que conocía de depotar sombras, era calentando la caja de la sombra con una velita, hasta que se calentara el plástico y empezara a derretirse un poco (con lo mal que huele), y después, empujar con un cuchillo o algo punzante para que saliera el godet. Hicimos un vídeo hace tiempo en el que depotábamos sombras de esta forma.
También supe de otra alternativa en esta entrada de teufeu.

The only way I knew of depotting eyeshadows (until now) consisted of heating the eyeshadow box with a candle until the plastic started to melt (it smells horrible), and after that, pushing with a knife or something like that to get the pan taken out. We made a video some time ago in which we depotted eyeshadows this way. I also knew another way to do the same thing in this post from teufeu.

Pues bien, hoy os traigo otra forma para mí más fácil (y creo que también más segura, porque no hay que llegar a derretir el plástico) de depotar sombras. ¿Cómo? Con la placa vitrocerámica (creo que las de inducción no sirven para esto), un trozo de papel de horno, un cutter y un alfiler o un imperdible.

Well, today I'm bringing you another way easier for me (and safer, I think, because the plastic doesn't melt) of depotting eyeshadows. How? With a ceramic cooktop (I think that induction ones are not suitable for this), a piece of baking paper, a cutter and a pin (or a safety pin).

Si tenéis que depotar muchas sombras al mismo tiempo, quizá tengáis que dejar encendido el fuego al mínimo (como tuve que hacer yo), porque con el calor que quedaba en la placa después de apagada no era suficiente.
En otros videos de youtube he visto depotar sombras con las planchas para el pelo, pero como no tenemos, lo hicimos así.

If you have to depot several eyeshadows at the same time, maybe you will have to keep the cooktop on at a minimum heat (as I had to do), because the remaining heat after turning it off wasn't enough. I have watched other videos on YT in which eyeshadows were depotted with a hair straightener, but as we don't have one, we did it this way.

Como os prometí, hoy os traigo "chuaches" de las sombras y pigmentos que compramos en Amsterdam. Los esmaltes los dejamos para más adelante. Además, los hemos ido estrenando, así que los veréis en alguna entrada de "Uñas de la semana".

Tanto los pigmentos como las sombras han sido aplicados en seco y sin ninguna prebase.
A decir verdad, los pigmentos resultaban un tanto difíciles de aplicar en seco, así que cuando me haga algún maquillaje con ellos, los aplicaré en húmedo.
En cuanto a las sombras de Catrice, ninguna pega. Textura sedosa, y buena pigmentación.
Y las sombras de Essence tienen un acabado metálico precioso, y la pigmentación es buenísima.

Both the pigments and the eyeshadows have been applied dry and without a primer or base underneath. To be honest, the pigments were a bit difficult to work with dry, so when I make a look with them, I'll apply them wet. About Catrice eyeshadows, nothing wrong there. Silky texture and good pigmentation. And these Essence ones have a beautiful metallic finish, and great pigmentation.

Y aprovechando que tengo los tickets de compra, os diré lo que nos costó todo.
Los pigmentos, 2 € cada uno (estaban al 50%); las sombras de Catrice estaban también en oferta: 2 sombras por 4 €, y las sombras de Essence a 0.49 € cada una.

As I still keep the receipts, I can give you the prices of everything. The pigments, €2 each (they had a 50% discount); the Catrice eyeshadows were on special offer: 2 eyeshadows for €4, and the Essence eyeshadows, €0.49 each.

Wet n Wild 'Comfort Zone' - Look

Hoy vengo con un post cortito, simplemente para enseñaros un look rapidito que hice hace un par de días con la paleta 'Comfort Zone' de Wet n Wild que gané en el sorteo de Schni.

Today I have a short 'n sweet post for you, simply to show you a quickie look I created a few days ago with the 'Comfort Zone' palette from Wet n Wild that I won on Schni's giveaway.

Como no encontraba las brochas, usé el aplicador que viene en la paleta y bueno, digamos que para colocar las sombras en el párpado, sirvió. Luego ya difuminé con la brocha de Mercadona. Utilicé las sombras del lado derecho de la paleta. El delineado lo hice con un perfilador de Max Factor que justo se me terminó y la máscara de pestañas es la Clubbing de Bourjois, que no me gusta nada, ya que sale una cantidad exagerada de producto y con ese gupillón medio calvo que tiene, cuesta una barbaridad que no te quede apegotonada. No sé si la mía está defectuosa o es que es así.





I couldn't find my brushes so had to do with the applicator included on the palette, and well, let's just say it did the job. Then, when I located my brushes I blended the different eyeshadows with the discontinued Blending brush from Mercadona.
I used the colours on the right side of the palette for this look. I lined my upper lashline with an automatic eye pencil from Max Factor that I finished shortly after this. The mascara I used was Clubbing from Bourjois in brown. I don't like it one bit, you get an exaggerated amount of product on the wand, scraping off the excess against the tube is a challenge and then the half-bald wand makes a clump-free application near impossible. I don't know if I got a defective one or what.

Lo dicho, un look rapidito y definitivamente mejorable, aunque las sombritas me han gustado mucho.

Like I said, a very quick EOTD with lots of grounds for improvement, though the eyeshadows are definitely worth it.

El premio me llegó como véis muy bien protegido en una cajita, envuelto en papel de seda y con "gusanos" de corcho. Mejor que muchas tiendas, la verdad.
Prize came as you can see really well protected in a box, wrapped in a silky tissue paper with white foam 'worms'. Much better than parcels from some stores, honestly.

Pero bueno, vamos a lo mejor, que es lo que hay dentro. Un octeto de la marca americana Wet n Wild, en concreto la paleta 'Comfort Zone'. El otro paquetito es un brillo de Clinique en formato tubito de los de apretar. Trae mucha cantidad y es muy natural. Ahora para el verano, estoy segura de que quedará muy bonito.




Well, let's get to the best part, which is what was inside. An eyeshadow palette from the US brand Wet n Wild, in particular the 8-eyeshadow palette in 'Comfort Zone'. The other item is a Clinique lipgloss that comes in a squeeze tube. It's quite big and the colour is very natural. Perfect for the summer.



Y esta es la pigmentación de las sombras. En las fotos, las sombras están aplicadas sin base/primer y en seco. Tienen una textura muy sedosa y traen bastante cantidad. Es una pena que las droguerías españolas no se animen a traer marcas extranjeras en condiciones como Wet n Wild, Hard Candy, Milani, Catrice y demás. Ahora mismo te da igual entrar en una cadena que en otra, todas traen las mismas marcas de alta cosmética y de precio medio -lo de "medio" a veces tiene guasa, ya que una máscara de pestañas de L'Oreal en EEUU cuesta 5 $, "igualito" que aquí. Eso sí, los descuentos y ofertas sólo en las caras. Pero claro, como en marcas más baratas sacan menos tajada, así nos va. Argg.
Afortunadamente, algunas tiendas online como LadyBelleza, Maquillalia o Maxwapa sí que están apostando por otras marcas que no sean las de siempre, pero siempre está bien poder cotillear el stand y probar los productos, ver los colores y demás. Por eso tengo tantas ganas de que abran el Beautik de Salamanca, jeje.




And here are some swatches. In the pics, all eyeshadows were swatched without a base/primer and dry. The pigmentation is excellent and they're very silky and quite big. It's a pity Spanish drugstores don't take the plunge and bring cool foreign brands like Wet n Wild, Hard Candy, Milani, Catrice and so on. Right now, all of them look the same and walking into one drugstore chain or other makes no difference at all, they all carry the same high-end and mid-priced brands -L'Oreal mascaras are 5 USD in the States, 'just like here' -note the irony. To make things worse, discounts and offers in Spanish brick & mortar drugstores are only applied to the more expensive ones. But since the profit they make on lower-end brands is smaller, they're not for it. Grrr.
Thankfully some online stores here like LadyBelleza, Maquillalia o Maxwapa are already carrying several lesser-known brands but it's always nice to be able to snoop around the display, try the testers, see the colours and all that. That's why I'm/we're so eager to visit the Beautik store that will soon be opened in Salamanca, lol.

Un caprichito satisfecho / A lemming fulfilled

No sé si recordáis que en el viaje a Madrid, estuvimos recorriendo todos los Sephoras con mostrador de Too Faced, ya que en nuestro Sephora teníamos encargado un producto desde hacía varios meses y no daba señales de vida.
En una de las múltiples visitas a Sephora nos dijeron que probáramos en Internet, que es lo que finalmente hemos hecho para hacernos con... *** Redoble de tambor *****


I don't know if you remember our mentioning that when we went to Madrid, we checked out every Sephora with a Too Faced counter, as we'd ordered something from our local Sephora several months ago that was proving to be very hard to find.
In one of our visits to Sephora we were told to try the Internet, which is what we finally did to get our greedy hands on ... *** Drumroll ***

¡Por fin!... La sombra 'Label Whore' / At last!! Our 'Label Whore' eyeshadow!


Bueno, en realidad hemos comprado dos, una para cada una. Marian tenía pensado regalársela a marox por su cumpleaños en abril, pero después de tanto tiempo esperando por ella y babeando frente al tester, pues decidimos pedir dos.
El pedido lo hizo Marian a LookFantastic, una tienda online del Reino Unido. El pago fue mediante Paypal y llegó en aproximadamente una semana. Los gastos de envío son gratis -¿por tiempo limitado?, así que genial.

Well, actually we got two, for the both of us. Marian had meant to give this to marox on her birthday which is in April, but after spending so much time waiting for it and drooling in front of the tester at the Two Faced counter, we decided to order two of them.

Marian placed an order at LookFantastic, an online store based in the UK. Payment was made via Paypal and delivery took about a week. Shipping was free -for a limited time?-, which is great.

Es una sombra preciosa, muy especial, con muchos matices. Aunque parece muy oscura y con mucho brillo es muy ponible, ya la hemos usado varias veces en looks de día y queda preciosa.
Aunque no nos gusta gastarnos mucho dinero en un solo producto, esta sombrita sí que nos parecía que merecía la pena por lo especial que es. Respetamos a la gente que no tiene reparo en gastarse 16 € en una sombra de MAC para iluminar, tipo 'Vanilla', pero para nosotras es un poco tirar el dinero cuando nuestra querida Essence tiene sombritas estupendas para iluminar. Nosotras hemos tocado 'pan' en la que viene en la paleta mate de la EL 'Secrets of the Past' y Marian compró otra parecida en Berlín de repuesto. Ese dinerito hemos preferido invertirlo en una sombrita tan especial como esta.

It's a gorgeous eyeshadow, very special and full of nuances. It may appear too dark and sparkly, but it's very wearable. We've used this for several daytime looks and it's beautiful.

Although we don't like to spend too much on a beauty product, we did think this eyeshadow was worth it for the reasons stated above. We obviously respect those who are willing to fork out €16 on a MAC eyeshadow for highlighting, such as 'Vanilla' but we felt that would be a waste of money in our case when our beloved Essence has some nice e/s for that purpose. We've already hit pan on the one in the 'Secrets of the Past' LE matte palette and Marian bought a similar one in Berlin as backup.

So we decided to invest that money in a unique eyeshadow as 'Label Whore' is.

Se nos ocurrió comparar el tamaño de esta sombra con una de Essence, y corregidnos si nos equivocamos, pero ¿no creéis que miden lo mismo? Nosotras pensamos que sí. Veréis.

We thought of comparing this eyeshadow with another one from Essence, to see whether they were the same size or not, and we don't know if we're right but, don't you think they're the same size? We think so. Look.

Por el momento no tenemos pensado depotar esta sombra, porque la cajita es monísima, pero si se cae y la caja se rompe, está bien saber que cabrá perfectamente en la paleta vacía de BF que compró Marox (una para ella y otra para Marian) y que os tenemos que enseñar debidamente.

At the moment we don't want to depot this eyeshadow, because the box is very nice, but if it falls down and the box gets broken, then we already know that it will perfectly fit into the empty palette Marox bought from BF (one for her and another one for Marian) and that we still have to properly show you.

Últimamente hemos hecho muchas visitas a Bustillo, después de las cuales hemos aumentado la familia potinguil. La que más ha arrasado ha sido Marian (quién lo diría), que ha dejado el mueble temblando, jeje. Eso, y algún regalito que ha caído por parte de Marox.
Creo que lo mejor es que lo veáis, y os vamos contando.

We've paid Bustillo (the store that sells Essence here) several visits lately, and our make-up family has increased.
Marian did the most damage (hard to imagine, is it?), and left the shelves trembling so to speak, lol.
There was also a small gift from Marox.
Enough talking. Here are some pics, and a bit of info on the different items.

Marian se trajo a casa estas tres sombras en la primera tanda de poticompras. La primera sombra que veis a la izquierda es un tono salmón con shimmer (son unas partículas muy pequeñas, así que el efecto es discreto).
La segunda sombra es un verde manzana mate muy bonito. Habrá que inventar algún look con esta sombra.

La tercera sombra es un tono también verde claro, aunque no sabría decir si el efecto que tiene es shimmer, como dicen los de Essence, o más bien holográfico.

Marian brought home the three eyeshadows in the picture on the first shopping spree. The one on the left is a salmon-pink shade with shimmer (though the particles are very small and subtle). The second one is a light green, matte and very beautiful. We'll have to think of a look for this eyeshadow.

The third one is a light green shade as well, though I can't really tell if it's shimmer -as Essence claims- or more like holographic imo.

Todas las sombras que veis aquí son de efecto mate. Marian se enamoró de estas sombras en cuanto las vio. Ahora ya están en su nuevo hogar.

All the eyeshadows you see here are matt effect. Marian fell in love with them at once. Now they're at their new home.

Compró también el pincel para eyeliner en gel. Tenía el de la EL Metallics, pero para el eyeliner en gel de Alverde que compró en Berlín, aquel no le gustaba. Buscaba otro biselado, y por fin lo encontró. Ahora tendrá que practicar.

She also purchased the eyeliner brush. She already had the Metallics LE one, but she didn't like how it worked with the Alverde gel liner she bought in Berlin. She was looking for an angled one, and finally she found it. Now she'll have to practice.

Como os dijimos al comienzo de esta entrada, entre todas estas cosas había un regalito de Marox a su hermanísima. Una pista: no es el sacapuntas. Fácil, ¿no?
Pues bien, como todavía quedaban algunas cosas de la EL anterior, que aquí ha sido la Blossoms, compró el esmalte "Bloom-a-loom", un precioso tono lila con reflejos del mismo color, que aún no sabemos si serán apreciables sobre la uña.
A Marian le encantó el esmalte de Marox "Found my love", pero quería regalarle algo un poco distinto. Os diremos que ha sido un acierto.

As we already told you in the beginning of this post, there was a gift from Marox to her big sister among all these things. We're giving you a clue: it's not the sharpener. Easy, huh?
OK, as there still were some things from the last LE, the 'Blossoms' one (here), she bought the 'Bloom-a-loom' nailpolish, a beautiful lilac shade with reflections of the same colour, which we don't know yet if they will be noticeable on the nails.
Marian loved Marox's 'Found my love' nailpolish, but she wanted to give her something different. We can say that it's been a hit.

Y os preguntaréis, ¿y Marox qué compró? Bueno, pues compró la sombra "Jazzed Up" y la "It's my party". Ah, y también compró su ansiado gel liner en negro (el que le faltaba), en el tono 01 "Midnight in Paris".

Si no me equivoco, de momento, con esta quinta entrega finaliza nuestra colección de productos de NYX. En esta ocasión, os enseñaremos nuestras sombras: las de marox y las mías.
Las pidió marox por Ebay, y estaba previsto que fueran una para cada una, pero por problemas en el pedido de los glosses que no llegaba pasado más de un mes, mandaron otro equivocado, con sombras en lugar de glosses. Una vez comunicado este hecho al vendedor, nos dijo que nos quedáramos con el pedido. Y poco después (si no recuerdo mal), llegó el famoso pedido que creíamos perdido en algún lugar del mundo.
Bueno, no sé si después de toda esta explicación os habréis enterado de algo. Espero que sí.

If I'm not mistaken, Part 5 is going to be the last in our NYX products series. This time, we'd like to show you our eyeshadows, both from marox and myself.
Marox ordered these on Ebay and they were only supposed to be one for each, but our order had not arrived after more than a month had elapsed, and then they sent us a wrong order, with eyeshadows instead of glosses. Once we told the seller about this fact, he told us to keep the stuff we had received. And a few days later (if I'm not mistaken), the famous order we thought was lost somewhere on the way here, finally arrived.
Well, I don't know if you will have understood all this explanation. I hope so.

So without further ado, I'm showing you the aforementioned eyeshadows, which is the purpose of this post.

Os presento a mis sombritas de NYX. La que había pedido en principio era la última, pero la verdad es que me alegro de que se equivocaran, porque las demás son preciosas.

Now meet my NYX eyeshadows. I just ordered the last one, but actually I'm glad they made a mistake, because the rest are very nice.



Y ahora, las de marox. Ella había pedido la cuarta, pero las otras también son bien bonitas.

And now, marox's ones. She ordered just the fourth one, but the others are also beautiful.



Como veis, después de todo este lío de pedido, al final tenemos 2 sombras en común. Y todas las demás, han sido muy bienvenidas. Pobrecitas, no tenían culpa de nada.

As you can see, after all this mess, we finally have 2 eyeshadows in common. And the rest of them have been very welcome. Poor them, it was not their fault.

Haul: Mercadona...

Hace un par de horitas nos hemos pasado por Mercadona, a echar un vistazo a las novedades de la sección de cosmética: las nuevas sombras, los jumbos de ojos y de labios, esmaltes de uñas y no... ya os adelantamos que no hemos regresado con las manos vacías. La que más ha cargado -cosa rara-, ha sido Marian.

We popped into Mercadona -for more info on these Spanish supermarkets read *this* post- a few hours ago to have a look at the new goodies in the cosmetics aisle: the new eyeshadows, jumbo eye and lip pencils, nail polishes... and no, we didn't leave the store empty-handed. Marian hauled the most, for a change.

Aquí podéis ver en primer lugar las compras de Marian: cuatro de las seis nuevas sombras Platinum. Como podéis ver son sombras abombaditas (tipo 'esferas' de Kiko). Cuestan 3.90€ cada sombra. También ha comprado todos los nuevos jumbos de ojos resistentes al agua: hielo, verde menta, champagne y violeta. De los nuevos jumbos de labios sólo tenían uno de los tonos, el melocotón, pero como no nos ha terminado de convencer, allí se quedó -y mejor, porque nos hemos dejado buenos cuartos al pasar por caja. Todos los jumbos, ya sean de ojos o de labios valen 2€. Y por último, nos hemos traído uno de los tres "mini-esmaltes" que habían traido a nuestro Mercadona más cercano: el tono 213 -que como todos los tonos que llevan tres cifras en la referencia, son de edición limitada. Lo mejor: el precio -¡un eurito, chicas! Y por cierto, de mini tienen poco, ya que traen 8ml, más que otros esmaltes de otras marcas que se venden como de tamaño normal.
En la foto también podéis ver una sombra de Essence que compró hoy mismo en Schlecker, después de flamenco. Es una sombra de acabado mate en tono gris. Es la #47 'Earl Grey'.

First of all you can see Marian's purchases: four of the new range of Platinum eyeshadows -they were six in total. They are similar to the Kiko colour spheres, dome-shaped and so on. These are 3,90 EUR each. She also got all the new waterproof jumbo eye pencils : ice, mint green, champagne and violet. Our nearest Mercadona only had one of the new jumbo lip pencils, the one in 'Peach', but we didn't like that one very much and left it on the shelf. It's just as well we did, since the total amount at the checkout was quite hefty as it was. All jumbo pencils are € 2 each. And finally, she got one of the three 'mini-nail polishes' our supermarket had received: the shade 213 -note that all the shades with three figures in their reference number are limited edition items. The best thing about them was the price: just one euro, girls! And they're not that mini either, with 8ml of product, larger than those of some brands marketed as standard sized.

There's an Essence eyeshadow in the pic, because Marian popped into Schlecker right after her flamenco lesson. It's a matte grey shade, #47 'Earl Grey'.

Y las compras de Marox, que estuvo más comedida por una vez. Tres de las sombritas, el mismo esmalte y la misma sombra de Essence -regalo de Marian-. Los jumbos de ojos le parecieron demasiado cremosos, a pesar de la etiqueta 'waterproof'.

And next are Marox's purchases, more restrained for a change. Three of the eyeshadows, the same nail polish and eyeshadow -a gift from Marian. She thought the new jumbo eye pencils were too creamy for being really waterproof.

¿Os han gustado nuestras compritas? Vale, ya sé lo que estáis pensando, que las fotos os han sabido a poco. Bueeeenooo, pues aquí tenéis otra sesión de spy-cam con el móvil de Marox. La verdad es que han quedado bastante bien.

Did you like what we got? Ok, I know what you're thinking, you couldn't get enough of them! Well, we're feeling generous today so here you are, another session of spy-cam courtesy of marox's mobile phone. Truth is they turned out real fine.

El expositor de las nuevas sombras Platinum. De izq. a dcha.: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 y 06. La 02 nos pareció demasiado purpurinosa (muy discotequera, vamos) y la 06 (que veis "chuacheada" en el dedo) nos recordó bastante a una de nuestras sombras de Nyx, la 'Morocco', que os enseñaremos muy pronto.

Y estos son los nuevos esmaltes de edición limitada, al menos los que habían llegado a nuestro Mercadona. ¡Venga, Marías, un eurito! ¡La que no se pinta las uñas es porque no quiere, oiga! (Léase con voz 'vendedora de mercadillo')

And these are the new LE mini-lacquers, at least the ones available at our nearest Mercadona supermarket. Come on, ladies! Only one euro, one euro each! (Read in a street-seller voice).

En el foro Vogue, que estuve visitando antes de ir a Mercadona para hacerme una idea de lo que me iba a encontrar, he visto una foto con varios esmaltes más de los nuevos. Son de la usuaria 'marykilla' y los tonos que véis son los siguientes: Naranja Nº 208 (no sale en la *revista*), Verde turquesa Nº 213, Rosa Nº 215, Malva Nº 211 y Rojo 210.

I paid a quick visit to the Deliplus thread on the Vogue Spain forum to get an idea of what to expect and found this picture, uploaded by the user 'marykilla'. Como ya os dijimos en un post anterior, habíamos hecho fotos de la paleta de la You Rock, y de los “chuaches”. Pues bien, ahora os las vamos a enseñar.

As we already told you on a previous post, we had taken photos of the 'You Rock' eyeshadow palette, and also of the swatches. OK, you're going to see them right now.

La estética de la paleta me recuerda (salvando las distancias, por supuesto), a las de las ediciones limitadas de Too Faced o Urban Decay.

The packaging of this palette reminds me (up to a point, of course) of those from Too Faced or Urban Decay LEs.

Como veis, los colores son bastante ponibles. Hay uno que me ha encantado, y es el primero por la izquierda de la fila de abajo. A ver qué look me invento usando esta sombra.

Las sombras pigmentan muy bien, aunque he de decir que cuando intenté pasarlas del dedo al brazo, la pigmentación se había reducido a la mitad. No las he probado todavía con pincel.

As you can see, the shades are very wearable. There's one shade that I love, the first one (from the left) on the second row. Now I have to think of a look using this eyeshadow.

These eyeshadows are very pigmented, although I must say that when I tried to swatch them on my arm (from my fingertips), the colour payoff was not that good. I haven't tried them with a brush.

La paleta trae también un lápiz de ojos en negro y un aplicador 2-en-1: por un lado un pincel y por otro un aplicador de espuma. En la tapa tiene un espejo de un tamaño bastante aceptable.

El lápiz lo probé en la mano, y puedo decir que es muy cremoso, y que me costó mucho quitármelo. También pigmenta muy bien.

The palette includes also an eyepencil in black and a 2-in-1 applicator: a little brush on one side and a foam applicator at the other. It also has a decent-sized mirror on the lid. I tried the pencil on my hand, and I can say it's very creamy, and actually took me a while to take it off. Pigmentation was also very good.
