Hola, chicas:

Aquí estamos para enseñaros lo que hemos comprado últimamente.

1- Toallita desmaquillante reutilizable Kanebo (Marox):  Ya vistéis que tiré la otra porque estaba muy viejita, así que me pedí otra por Ebay. Se la compré a *este* vendedor y me costó 7,50 dólares más otros 2 dólares el envío.

2 -  Crema depilatoria Bonté, supermercados DIA (Marox): Viene con un palito de naranjo para ayudar a extenderla y bandas para retirarla. Se calienta en un vaso con agua caliente -no hirviendo- durante un minuto. Retira bastante bien el vello y no duele tanto el tirón como con las bandas que ya traen la cera.
Me costó poco más de 3 euros.


3- Esmaltes de uñas.
Compramos estos esmaltes que veis en la foto en el mercadillo local, más otro de Essie que incluímos en nuestro sorteo.
¿Su precio? 2 € los cuatro esmaltes.
Como para dejarlos allí, ¿no os parece?




4- Báscula de cocina (Marian).
Otra compra más para cuando haga mis recetas de cosmética natural.
La compré en una ferretería cerca de donde vivo, y me costó 20€.
Pesa hasta un máximo de 5 kg, con intervalos de 1 g.

5- Peine de madera (Marox). Compré este peine en unos chinos de por aquí. Como veís no llegó ni al euro. No está barnizado pero el tacto es bastante suave. Lo estoy usando para desenredar el pelo después de la ducha y ocasionalmente con el pelo seco para aplicar algún tratamiento.

6 - Polvo de Amla (marox): El amla es muy popular en la medicina ayurvédica. Es extremadamente rico en vitamina C. No es más que el fruto de la grosella india desecada y molida. Se puede usar como ingrediente de mascarillas faciales y en el pelo, al que aporta fuerza y brillo.
De momento, lo he usado para probar si mi piel lo toleraba bien y después, añadí lo que me sobró de la prueba a una mezcla de aceites templados que me estoy aplicando una vez por semana.
En el futuro, quizá pruebe con otra marca como Khadi, que tiene certificación ecológica. Ésta la podéis encontrar en cualquier herbolario. 

7- Heimish Cleansing Balm (marox): Ya he tocado fondo con el bálsamo desmaquillante de TBS, así que he comprado esta como repuesto. Lo cierto es que quise hacerme con la versión coreana de la de Eve Lom de It's Skin, pero parece que está descatalogada, así que tras mucho mirar, me hice con ésta.
La compré en Ebay a *este* vendedor. Me costó 17,67 dólares.

Bueno, esto ha sido todo por ahora.

Here we are to show you the stuff we've bought recently.

1 - Kanebo Cleansing Chief (Marox):  You saw the state the old one was in, so I ordered a new one off Ebay. I got it from *this* seller and cost $7.50 plus another 2 dollars for the shipping.

2 - Face wax, Bonté brand (DIA Supermarkets) (Marox): It comes with an orange wood stick to help achieve a more precise application as well as bands to pull.
It is warmed in a glass with hot -not boiling- water for a minute. It removes facial hair quite well without being as harsh as pre-waxed strips.
This was a little over 3 euros.




3- Nail polishes.
We bought these plus another one from Essie we included on our giveaway, at the local flea market.
Their price? €2 for the four polishes.
We just couldn't leave them there, don't you think?

4- Kitchen scale (Marian).
Another thing that I'll use when I make my own cosmetic products.
I bought it at a local hardware store, and it was €20.
It measures weights of up to 5 kg, with 1 g intervals.

5- Wooden comb (Marox). I bought this at a local euro store, run by Chinese people.
It didn't even hit the €1 mark. It is made of unvarnished wood which feels quite soft to the touch. I'm using this to detangle my hair when I wash it and ocassionally on dry hair to help me apply treatments.

6 - Amla powder (marox):  Amla is a staple in ayurvedic medicine. It's extremely rich in vitamin C. Amla is just dried Indian gooseberries ground into a fine powder. It can be used as an ingredient in face masks and for hair, providing strength and shine.
So far I used a bit for a patch test and the remaining mixture I added it to an oil mixture for the weekly hot oil treatment I'm currently using.
In the future I'll try a different brand like Khadi, which is certified organic. The one I got is readily available in natural stores throughout Spain. 

7 - Heimish Cleansing Balm (marox):  I've already hit pan on the TBS cleansing balm, so I got this as a replacement. I tried to order the Korean dupe of the Eve Lom one by It's Skin I was lusting after, but it appears to have been discontinued and had to get this one instead.
I got it off Ebay from *this* seller. It was $17.67.

Productos terminados #40 - 'Finito' products #40.

Aquí estamos de nuevo para hablaros de los productos que hemos terminado últimamente.

1- Exfoliante corporal de chocolate de Giovanni (Marian). Fue un regalo de Marox, que compró en iHerb, aunque también lo podéis encontrar en Vitacost.
Me ha gustado mucho. Exfolia muy bien y huele aún mejor, así que no me importaría repetir con este producto.



2- Manteca corporal de arándano escarchado de The Body Shop (Marian). 
Se aplica muy bien y deja la piel hidratada.
Me encanta su olor afrutado.
Es muy posible que repita con ella, aunque sabéis que me gusta probar varias.

3- Desodorante de Nature's Gate (Marox). Comprado en iHerb, pero también disponible en Vitacost. La verdad es que me ha gustado bastante. Casi os diría que de los desodorantes naturales que he probado hasta el momento es de mis favoritos. Marian tiene uno para ella también, que aún no ha estrenado.
No obstante, como todos, durante ciertos días al mes, se me queda un pelín corto.



4- Cuarteto de correctores de Sephora (Marian).
Como veis no se ha terminado, pero hace muchísimo tiempo que lo tengo y ya huele a rancio, así que lo doy por terminado.
Llegó el momento de tirarlo.
De todos modos, prefiero los correctores fluidos.

5- Desodorante en stick Dermo, de Dia (Marian).
He estado usándolo mucho en verano, y en el resto del año durante ciertos días del mes, en que el desodorante de alumbre se me queda corto.
Me encanta el formato en stick.
No he vuelto a ver este desodorante, así que será difícil repetir con él.
De todos modos, Marox ya se ha encargado de llenarme la "despensa potinguil" con desodorantes de este formato.



6- Corrector líquido de Catrice en el tono "Ivory" (Marian).
Lo compré en Beauty Gloss, aconsejada por su dependienta, que es un encanto de persona.
Lástima que la tienda ya cerró, así que ahora no me quedará más remedio que comprar lo de Catrice por Internet.
De todas formas, ahora que sé el tono que mejor me va, siempre podría comprarlo online.
Ahora estoy usando uno de otra marca que ya os enseñaré.

Pues bien, estos han sido nuestros productos terminados hasta ahora.

Here we are with a quick review of the stuff we've used up lately.

1 -  Giovanni Hot chocolate Body Scrub (Marian). It was a gift from Marox that she ordered off iHerb, though you can also find it on Vitacost.
I like it very much. It provides a great exfoliation and smells even better, so I wouldn't mind repurchasing this product.

2 - Frosted Cranberry Body Butter, The Body Shop (Marian):
It's very easy to apply and it leaves the skin moisturized. I love its fruity scent.
I will very likely buy it again (or ask Marox to do it for me), although you know that I like trying different ones too.



3 - Nature's Gate Deodorant (Marox): Bought off iHerb, this is also available from Vitacost. The truth is I really liked this, to the point that I'd say it's my favourite natural deodorant so far. I bought Marian one too, but she hasn't got round to using hers yet.
Nevertheless, for a couple of days a month, it does fall a bit short as any other does.

4 -Concealer Quad by Sephora (Marian).
As you can see, it's not finished yet, but I've had it for a long, long time, and it has a musty smell, so I consider it as finished.
It's time to throw it away.
Anyway, I prefer liquid concealers for now.



5- Dermo stick deodorant, from Dia supermarkets (Marian).
I've been using it a lot in summer, and some days of the month during the rest of the year, when the alum deodorant falls a bit short.
I love the stick format.
I haven't seen this kind of deodorant anymore, so it'll be hard to get it again.
Anyway, Marox has filled my vanity 'pantry' with more deodorants in stick.

6- Liquid concealer from Catrice in the shade 'Ivory' (Marian).
I bought this at Beauty Gloss, following the assistant's advice, who is a very nice person. It's a pity that the store had to close down, as I'll have to get Catrice stuff online from now on.
Anyway, now that I know which shade matches me best, I could order online.
At the moment I'm using another one from a different brand that I'll be showing you soon.

¡Está claro que no tenemos remedio! Aquí venimos a enseñaros nuestras últimas compritas.

1 - Body Mists 'Cherry Chic' y 'Vanilla Dream' de Bonté: No sé si en otras ciudades será así, pero aquí lo que antes era Schlecker ahora se llama *Clarel*. Venden más o menos lo mismo que tenían en Schlecker (Essence, Basic) y bastantes cosas de la nueva marca de perfumería de los supermercados DIA, Bonté. Curiosamente, estos productos no los he visto en dichos supermercados. Aunque Marian es la que más gusta de usar estos sprays, la verdad es que estos dos olían bastante bien en el tester. Por cierto, que me llevaba el Tester en lugar de los envases que véis en las fotos. ¡Menos mal que la dependienta se dio cuenta! Se ve que no he sido la única a la que le ha pasado. Precio: 2,99€ cada uno.
He probado los dos y la verdad es que huelen muy bien y el aroma perdura más de lo que suele ser habitual en este tipo de productos. El olor de la de vainilla es quizá algo fuerte. Había otras dos fragancias disponibles, que no me entusiasmaron.



2 - Base para uñas antirotura de Essence: Aún no la he probado, la compré básicamente para tener una de repuesto. Lo compré a ciegas, ya que no había leído ninguna opinión en Internet ni nada.

3 - Esmalte sellador de secado rápido de Essence: Como ya sabéis, este topcoat me gusta mucho. Creo que tiene una gran relación calidad-precio. Lo único que no me gusta es que el envase sea completamente opaco, ya que no permite ver la cantidad que queda en el bote.



4 - Quitaesmalte sin acetona con esponjita: Recuerdo haber tenido uno de los del formato antiguo de Mercadona. Vienen bien si tenemos prisa y tenemos un esmalte un poco complicado de retirar. No lo he probado ni sé qué tal vaya. Ya os contaré cuando lo pruebe.

5 - Espuma de baño de Rituals: Compro la revista Glamour todos los meses, y dependiendo de si trae un regalo decente o una porquería, la compro sóla o no. La revista de enero viene con una espuma de baño a elegir: ésta de leche de arroz y flor de cerezo y otra de loto blanco y té verde. Escogí la primera, puesto que tengo el exfoliante de la misma gama que vino con la misma revista hace unos cuantos meses. Por sólo 3€, me pareció que comprar la revista con el regalo merecía la pena. Es de agradecer que por fin las revistas españolas traigan obsequios de calidad.
La hemos usado un par de veces y es muy agradable de usar, con un olorcito que se nota sin ser demasiado. Lo único malo es que hay que tener cuidado de separar lo suficiente la esponja, ya que sale un chorro con bastante fuerza.
Por lo visto el mes que viene la revista Glamour trae más cosas de Rituals, así que estad atentas.

What can we say, we're a hopeless case! Here we are again ready to share with you our latest purchases.


1 - 'Cherry Chic' and 'Vanilla Dream' Body Mists, Bonté: I don't know if it's the case elsewhere in Spain, but here, the drugstore that used to be Schlecker is now called *Clarel*. They sell more or less what Schlecker used to (Essence, their own cosmetics brand Basic) besides a lot of stuff from DIA Supermarkets' own skincare line, now called Bonté. Strangely enough, I haven't seen many of those in said supermarkets. Marian is a huge fan of body sprays, but it was me who was drawn by how well these two smelled in the tester bottle. Btw, it turns out I'd put said testers in my shopping basket! It was just as well the shop assistant noticed that and brought back the correct ones! It's probably happened before, I guess. Price: 2.99 EUR each.
I've tried both and they smell surprisingly well and the longevity is longer than what you'd expect for this price.
The vanilla one may be a bit too strong.
They had another two scents, but they were a bit meh, imo.



2- Anti split nail sealer from Essence:
I haven't tried it yet. I bought it so I could have one for backup, really. I didn't read any reviews of it, so I could say that I purchased it blindly.

3- Quick dry top sealer from Essence:
As you know, I love this top coat. I think it is really great value for money. The only con is that the bottle is completely opaque, so you can't see how much is left.

4- Acetone-free Dip-in nail polish remover:
I remember that I used to have one of those with the old packaging from Mercadona. They're great if we're in a hurry and we have a mani with a polish that is tricky to remove. I haven't tried it yet, so I don't know how it will work. I'll let you know when I do.



5- Shower foam from Rituals:
I buy Glamour magazine every month, and if it doesn't include a proper gift, I just buy the magazine.
The January issue comes with a shower foam from Rituals. You can choose between the rice milk and cherry flower that I got and another one of white lotus and green tea.
I chose the first one, because I already have the body scrub from the same range, which came with the same magazine some months ago.
For just €3, I thought that buying the magazine with the freebie was worth it.
I really appreciate the fact that Spanish beauty magazines are catching up with their European and American counterparts, as they are finally including good quality freebies.
We have tested it already and is very pleasant to use. The scent is noticeable yet not cloying at all. The only downside is that you have to be careful to hold your sponge at the right distance, as the spray is quite powerful. 
Apparently, next month's issue of Glamour magazine in Spain will have more Rituals freebies, so stay tuned for those.

Compras varias acumuladas / Collective sundry haul

Aquí estamos de nuevo para enseñaros unas cuantas cositas que hemos comprado últimamente, en principio, eran cosas que se nos habían terminado y que había que reponer. Aunque también ha habido algún caprichito.

Here we are again to show you some things we've purchased recently. They're things we had run out of, so we have to replace them. Though there also has been some whim.

1- Crema facial hidratante de Aloe Vera de Deliplus: Para sustituir la crema antiarrugas de Deliplus que estábamos usando como crema de noche. Existe otra versión, más pequeña y más cara, que viene en un tarro de cristal. Nos decidimos por esta porque mirando la composición, no apreciamos diferencias y esta traía más cantidad. Precio: 2€. La estamos usando las dos y de momento, nos va muy bien con ella.

1- Moisturizing face cream from Deliplus with aloe vera: To replace the antiwrinkle one from Deliplus we were using as a night cream. There is another version, a more expensive one and with a smaller amount of product that comes in a glass jar. We chose this one because we didn't find any differences in the ingredients, and has a bigger amount of cream. Price: €2. We are both using it and like it very much.

2- Toallitas desmaquillantes para piel sensible de DIA: Como ya comentamos en el último post de productos terminados, se nos habían acabado las que teníamos. El formato es algo distinto que el anterior, pero el producto es el mismo: mismos ingredientes, misma cantidad, mismo fabricante, etc. Precio: 1,25€.

2- Make-up remover wipes for sensitive skin from DIA: As we already told you on our latest post on 'Finito products', we had run out of those we were using. The packaging is a little bit different, but it's the same product: the same ingredients, amount and manufacturer... Price: €1.25.

3- Colonia Essence 'Like a First Day of Spring': ¿Dónde he podido comprar esta colonia? Ah, sí, en la nueva perfumería que han abierto aquí. Bodybell se estrena en la ciudad y no podía hacerlo mejor que trayendo Essence de nuevo a Zamora, casi una década después. Eso sí, sólo tienen el mueble normal, las cremas de manos, línea MySkin y la nueva colección de colonias entre las que escogí ésta. Eso sí, no me dieron permiso para sacar fotos. Tienen también un stand de OPI más completo que el de IF & Marionnaud y también mueble de Essie. Me he sacado la tarjeta de fidelidad, porque aunque sea durante el verano, compraré más cositas.

3- Essence 'Like a First Day of Spring' Eau de Toilette: Where did I get this? Oh, yes, It had to be in the newly opened Bodybell drugstore & perfumery, the only one in town. They couldn't have a better debut, as they're bringing Essence, a brand that returns to my hometown Zamora after an absence of almost a decade. They only have their makeup display though, as well as the hand creams, MySkin line and the new perfume range out of which I chose the one you can see above. The store also features an OPI display with a larger stock than that available at IF or Marionnaud, as well as an Essie counter. I got their club card, because at least during the summer, I'll be a frequent visitor and admittledly will give in and get a few goodies.

4- Esmaltes de Catrice "It's Rambo no.5" y "Goldfinger" (Marian): No sé para qué me prometo a mí misma que no voy a comprar más esmaltes (ya tengo muchos), porque siempre que voy a Bustillo caigo en la tentación. Los tenían en la cestita de liquidación y yo creo que querían venirse a casita conmigo, jeje. Me costaron 1.99€ cada uno.

4- Nail polishes from Catrice 'It's Rambo no.5' and 'Goldfinger' (Marian): I don't know why I always promise myself not to buy more polishes (I already have a lot of them), because everytime I go to Bustillo (local store) I fall into temptation. They were in the sales basket, and I think they wanted to come home with me, lol. They cost me €1.99 each.

5- Labiales "Rose Baby" de Chanel y #141 de YSL (Marian): Estos han sido mi más reciente adquisición en el mercadillo. Ambos son en tono rosa claro, aunque el de YSL tira un poco a lila. El de Chanel tiene un acabado "frost", mientras que el de YSL tiene un color sólido, sin purpurina ni reflejos, y es muy cremoso. Me recuerda a los labiales redondos de NYX (salvando las distancias, por supuesto). Me costaron 8 euros cada uno. Uno de ellos será para marox.

5- Lipsticks 'Rose Baby' from Chanel and #141 from YSL (Marian): These have been my most recent purchase at the local street market. Both of them are in a pale pink shade, though the YSL one leans to lilac. The lipstick from Chanel has a frosty finish, while the YSL one is in a solid colour, without any sparkles or reflections, and it's very creamy. It reminds me of the round lipsticks from NYX (differences aside, of course). They cost me €8 each. One of them will be for marox.

Here we are again ready to share with you our thoughts on the products we've used up lately.

1- Jabón artesano de nogal: Desde que probamos los jabones sólidos no hemos vuelto a usar geles para la ducha, salvo, obviamente, si vamos a la piscina (por ejemplo). Lo compramos en un puesto en una feria de artesanía el año pasado. Hace mucha espuma y no tiene apenas olor.
Este jabón en concreto está especialmente indicado para problemas dérmicos como psoriasis, dermatitis atópica, dermatitis seborreica, eczemas y hongos. Está bien, aunque no hemos notado nada especial.

1- Walnut tree handcrafted soap: Ever since we tried solid soaps, we've sticked to them except for when going to the pool, for instance. We bought this at a stall in a local craft fair last year. It lathers quite well and does not have a noticeable scent to it.
This soap in particular is specially indicated for skin problems, such as psoriasis, atopic and seborrheic dermatitis, eczema or skin infections caused by fungi. It is nice, but we didn't really see any improvement.

2- Colonia Yves Rocher de Frambuesa: Pertenece a la línea Plaisirs Nature y cuesta unos siete euros y trae 100 ml. Ahora en verano nos gusta usar colonias más fresquitas y los aromas frutales de este tipo de productos nos gustan mucho. Esta gama de productos quedan fuera de las promociones habituales de la tienda, pero no son demasiado caros.

2- Raspberry-scented cologne from Yves Rocher: It is part of the Plaisirs Nature range and costs around seven euros for 100ml. We prefer to use lighter perfumes in summer and fruity scents are usually our go-to products. This line is excluded from the store's frequent discounts and promotions, but they're not too pricey anyway.

3-Toallitas desmaquillantes piel sensible DIA (sobre todo marox): Están disponibles en versión para piel normal y piel sensible, que son las que utilizo. Las he comprado ya varias veces y están muy bien como primer paso en nuestra rutina de limpieza facial, para retirar la mayor parte del maquillaje. Las suelo complementar con otros productos, ya sean jabones o lociones desmaquillantes. Me gustan porque trae 30 toallitas y el cierre funciona bien, lo que impide que se sequen. Las nuevas vienen en un paquete un poco diferente. Precio: 1,25€ en supermercados DIA. Están fabricadas en Israel y están dermatológica y oftalmológicamente testadas. Contienen vitamina E y té verde.




3-Makeup Remover Wipes for sensitive skin from DIA (marox mainly): These are available in two versions, one for normal skin and sensitive skin, which are the ones I use. I've repurchased these several times and are quite nice as a first step in your skin cleansing ritual, removing the bulk of your makeup. I always team this with other products, either soaps or makeup remover lotions. I like these because they contain 30 wipes and the snap works great, effectively preventing the wipes from drying out. The new ones come in a slightly different package. Price: 1.25 EUR and are available from DIA Supermarkets. They're made in Israel and are dermathologically and opthamologically tested. They contain Vitamin E and Green Tea.

4- Exfoliante Yves Rocher 'Tradition de Hammam': Hemos gastado ya bastantes, aprovechando para comprarlos con alguna de las promociones de la marca. El precio normal es de más de 20 euros. No tiene un gránulo demasiado grueso pero sí que es efectivo e hidratante a la vez, gracias a los aceites que contiene. Ha sido uno de nuestros favoritos, aunque descansaremos una temporada y usaremos otro que tenemos a medias y el de Obey Your Body que os enseñamos *aquí*. ¿Tenéis algún "ranking" de exfoliantes corporales favoritos? Nos encantaría que los compartiérais con nosotras. Para marox, el número 1 imbatido hasta el momento es el de aromaterapia de Kiotis de Stanhome que podéis ver *aquí*.




4- Yves Rocher 'Tradition de Hammam *UK/US*' Body Scrub: We've used up several of these and have repurchased them only if we could benefit from any of the company's frequent discounts and promotions. Otherwise, retail price is more than €20. The scrub particles are not too big but they're effective and the product nourishes the skin at the same time, thanks to the different oils it contains. Has been a long time favourite, but we'll be taking a break from it and use another we've halfway used up and the Obey Your Body we told you about in *this* blog. What are your favourite body scrubs? For marox, top of the list and a tough one to beat is the Aromatherapy one from Kiotis by Stanhome that you can see *here*.

5- Lima de vidrio Claire's (marox): Esta fue mi primera lima de vidrio. Menos mal que luego probé la de KIKO, porque de lo contrario, habría pensado que no eran para tanto. Aunque el grano es finito, se desgasta tan rápidamente que vas dejando zonas de la lima completamente inutilizables al poco tiempo. De precio (3,50€), por aquel entonces era de las más baratas que había. Compré otra y también le ha pasado lo mismo, así que NO las recomiendo. Recuerdo que cuando estuvimos en la República Checa las había superbaratas y las había también en tamaño mini. Luego me arrepentí de no haber comprado ninguna, aunque fuera para probar.

5- Claire's Glass Nail File (marox): This was my first glass nail file. It's just as well I later tried the KIKO ones, because otherwise I'd have thought these files weren't worth the hype. The grain is fine, though unfortunately the wear is so quick you end up with useless patches throughout the file in no time. In terms of price, it was one of the cheapest ones available at the time, for 3.50 EUR. I bought another one of these and experienced exactly the same issue, so I definitely WON'T repurchase again. I remember seeing these glass files everywhere when we went to the Czech Republic for the summer holidays a few years ago. They were very inexpensive and they also had them in a pocket size. I later regretted not getting any of those instead.
