Probando, probando: Mixing Solution de KIKO (II) - Testing, testing: Mixing Solution from KIKO (II).

Como os prometí, aquí os traigo la segunda prueba que le hicimos a nuestro Mixing Solution de KIKO. ¿Qué hicimos? Intensificar el color de un pigmento (que por cierto, era ya bastante intenso de por sí), haciéndolo además, mucho más fácil de aplicar, y sin el peligro de que nos caiga el pigmento por la cara.

As promised, here I am again, with the second test we made with our Mixing Solution from KIKO.

What did we do? We intensified the shade of a pigment (which was very intense already), making it easier to apply, to prevent fallout.

La prueba es muy simple. Echamos una gota de Mixing Solution en la mano, y a continuación mojamos el pincel y cogemos un poquito de pigmento y comenzamos a aplicar. Vemos enseguida que es muy fácil de aplicar. Lamentablemente, no tengo ninguna foto de la diferencia de intensidad de color entre el pigmento solo y el pigmento con Mixing Solution.

The test is very simple. Put a drop of Mixing Solution on your hand, then damp the brush and pick some pigment and apply it. Now we can see how easy we can apply it this way. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pics for you to see the difference of the intensity of the shade between the pigment alone and the pigment with Mixing Solution.

Pero ahora que pienso, todavía tengo parte del pigmento que utilicé sin prensar, así que haré una foto y la añadiré después.

Now I'm thinking that I still have part of the pigment I used without being pressed, so I'll take a pic and upload it afterwards.

Bueno, aquí está la foto que os prometí. Como podréis imaginar, a la izquierda está el pigmento sin Mixing Solution, aplicado con un pincel. A la derecha, el pigmento con una gota de Mixing Solution.

Así que una vez recibimos el pedido, no podíamos esperar para probarlo.

A few posts ago we told you about Mixing Solution, which we ordered from KIKO online store (among other things), because of the very good reviews we had read raving about it.

So once we received the package, we couldn't wait to try it.

La primera prueba a la que le hemos sometido (porque ha habido una segunda, y quién sabe si alguna más) ha sido tratar de "revivir" un delineador en gel que se me había quedado seco, sequísimo. Lo confieso: no doy abasto a gastar tantos productos. No sé si a vosotras os ocurrirá lo mismo.

The first test we've made to it (because there has been a second one, and who knows if there will be more) has been trying to bring a gel liner that got dry back to life. I confess: I can hardly cope with so many make-up products to use up. I don't know if this happens to you too.

El resultado de esta prueba no habría podido ser mejor. Como prueba, hemos grabado un vídeo para que veáis que no hay trampa ni cartón.

The result of this test couldn't have been better. We have recorded a video as a proof of this, so you can see there are no tricks at all.

Como apunte final, os diré que después de añadir un par de gotas más de Mixing Solution, se conseguía hacer un poco más fluido el delineador en gel, y así conseguir una línea más fina, porque la primera (la que se ve en el vídeo) era un poco tosca, la verdad.

As a final note, I'll tell you that after adding a few more drops of Mixing Solution, the gel eyeliner became more fluid; that way you can get a thinner line, because the first one (which you can see in the video) was a bit rough, really.

Compras en Kiko online - Kiko online Haul

Hola de nuevo:

Aprovechando que KIKO dispone por fin de *tienda online*, hemos hecho un pequeño pedido. Nos llegó el viernes 13/1 mediante mensajero de UPS. El paquete venía desde Italia y ha llegado todo bien. El único aspecto negativo es que el pedido mínimo era de 25 euros, así que
hemos pedido alguna cosita más hasta alcanzar ese importe. Pero bueno, hemos aprovechado que había algunas cosas interesantes rebajadas.

El artículo que más nos interesaba era de edición limitada: la famosa Mixing Solution, similar al Duraline de Inglot y otros. Al tratarse de un artículo de Edición Limitada, no hemos querido esperar mucho tiempo para no quedarnos sin él. Aún no lo hemos probado, pero tenemos pensados un par de retos para este producto. Ya os contaremos.

We've done a small KIKO haul, thanks to the fact that they now have an *online store*. We got our order on Friday 13/1 and it was shipped from Italy via UPS. Everything came fine. The only downside to it is the fact that the minimum order is 25 EUR and we had to therefore add some extra stuff to get there. But as Kiko had some nice discounts on several of their most popular products, it wasn't too bad.

The item we were interested in the most was from a LE, the praised Mixing Solution, similar to Inglot's Duraline and others. As it's a LE item we didn't want to wait and risk it not being in stock anymore. We haven't tried it yet, but we have some challenges with this product in mind. We're telling you soon.

Todas las sombras tienen un tacto muy sedoso, no son nada tizosas, y pigmentan muy bien.

All the eyeshadows are very silky to the touch, they're not chalky at all, and the colour payoff is great.

De repente, Marian pensó que la sombra 114 de KIKO se parecía a la "Label Whore" de Too Faced, así que como todavía le quedaba algún dedo libre, hizo un "chuache" justo al lado de la 114 de KIKO. La verdad es que pueden tener cierto parecido, pero no son clones en absoluto.

La sombra de Too Faced tiene un fondo rojizo que no tiene la de KIKO.

Suddenly, Marian thought that the KIKO 114 eyeshadow resembled 'Label Whore' from Too Faced, so as she still had one finger for this, made a swatch next to 114's from KIKO. The truth is that they have some similarities, but they're not dupes at all.

The eyeshadow from Too Faced has reddish undertones that KIKO's one doesn't.

Con lo que nos hemos llevado una grata sorpresa ha sido con el jumbo para ojos. Es de larga duración..., pero de verdad. Después de quitar los chuaches del brazo con una toallita, este es el aspecto que presentaba el chuache del jumbo.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the eyeshadow pencil. It's really long lasting, like... for real!. After removing the swatches on the arm with a baby wipe, this is what the swatch of the eyeshadow pencil looked like.
