Mis regalos y autoregalos de Navidad / Xmas gifts for me and from me.

¡Hola a todas!

Hoy me gustaría enseñaros los regalos que me han hecho tanto Marian como mis padres.
Como veréis por el título, yo también me he hecho unos cuantos autorregalos, porque no sé vosotras... pero yo me quiero un huevo.

Voy a empezar por las cosas que me he comprado yo.

1- Contorno de ojos de baba de caracol de Scinic: Se me está acabando el que tengo de esta misma marca y había pensado comprarme el GoBack de Etude House, pero cuando lo fui a pedir apenas quedaban y el precio era bastante caro. No sé si sea de edición limitada o qué. Decidí no complicarme y probar éste de Scinic, que como ya habréis adivinado si nos seguís, es una marca que nos da buen resultado.
 En el mismo pedido encargué un fluído multiacción para nuestro padre de esta marca, ya que no sabíamos qué regalarle.
Hice el pedido a este *vendedor*, que mandó muestras de una CC Cream y de una mascarilla para hombre.

2 -  Mascarilla peel-off de colágeno de Anskin: Esta mascarilla en tamaño profesional no contiene alcohol y se presenta en formato polvo, que debemos mezclar con una proporción menor de agua.
La he usado sólo dos veces y me gustó mucho cómo me dejó la cara, si bien tengo que medir las proporciones como dios manda y no 'a ojo' para que así resulte más fácil retirarla. No hay que dejarla secar más que unos minutos, o de lo contrario cuesta retirarla. Como el bote es enorme, le daré a Marian para que la pruebe.
La pedí por Ebay a *este* vendedor, que no mandó ni una mísera muestra.

3 -  Espátulas mezcladoras para mascarillas: Para usar con la mascarilla anterior. Pedí tres para que mi madre y Marian también puedan usarla con esta mascarilla u otras. Justo han llegado esta mañana, a tiempo de una foto rápida para ilustrar el post.
Las compré por Ebay a este *vendedor*.

4 - Pedido a *iHerb*, que os mostraré en una entrada independiente- entre otras cosas, porque me acaba de llegar ayer después de un mes. Os adelanto una foto de familia.
Ya sabéis que tenéis un descuentillo en vuestro primer pedio utilizando el código de otro cliente. Usad alguno, el mío (NBB297) o el de quien sea, ¡pero usad uno, que "la pela es la pela"!.

Y ahora paso a los regalos propiamente dichos, con alguna sorpresa que para nada esperaba. En el caso de Marian, no sé qué sería de ella si no tuviera acceso a mis listas de deseos y de seguimiento. Lo de mi hermana es como las "indirectas" de los *anuncios* de la presente campaña navideña de El Corte Inglés.


5 - Visera noche y día para coche: Como la que anuncian en la teletienda.... pero muuucho más barata si la compráis por Ebay como hizo Marian. Cuesta un poco ajustarla al parasol, pero de momento va bien. Sólo he probado el filtro para el sol, pero sé que el amarillo funcionará bien para la noche / poca luz ya que tanto Marian y yo tenemos gafas sin graduar con este filtro y se ve mucho mejor.

6 - Cascos para el ordenador de NGS: No sé qué hago, que destrozo los cascos aunque sean de los buenos. Los que me regaló Marian anteriormente (de conexión USB de Logitech) los tengo hechos una pena. Los de Marian, igualitos a los míos están casi como nuevos. La calidad del sonido no es tan buena como en los que tenía, pero están bien para un uso cotidiano.
Los compró en Carrefour, aunque luego los ha visto mucho más baratos por Internet.

7 - Esmaltes y colorete de Catrice y paleta de sombras 'Welcome to the Pleasuredome' de MakeUpRevolution: Marian tiró de wishlist y me cogió estas cosillas en *Primor* aprovechando la oferta del Black Friday. Al igual que otra gente, tuvo problemas con el envío, que tardó ¡unas dos semanas!. Una pasada para un pedido nacional.
De momento no he probado apenas nada, pero en las navidades fijo que estreno algo. El colorete lo he usado un día y queda muy bonito. Es precioso y muy ponible y la paleta parece muy versátil al no llevar sólo tonos neutros.

8 - Peeling enzimático 'Oxygen Micro Essence Peeling' de Missha: Marian fisgó mi watchlist de Ebay y decidió comprarme este producto. Sólo lo he usado una vez, por lo que aún no estoy lista para dar una opinión formada del producto. Aplicamos dando un pequeño masaje, dejamos actuar unos minutos y retiramos dando otro masaje que eliminará el producto y las pieles muertas. Aunque tiene alcohol en su composición, no me resultó agresivo. El vendedor incluyó una muestra de una crema de manos y de una hidratante de aguacate de Tony Moly.



Los dos regalos siguientes están relacionados y han supuesto toda una sorpresa.

9 - Ipad Mini 2 y funda: Pues sí, mis padres (especialmente mi madre) se emocionaron yendo de compras y me compraron algo que no habría imaginado ni en un millón de años. Reconozco que me llamaban la atención las tabletas pero no soy de gastarme un pastizal en un artículo tecnológico habiendo alternativas más baratas (Android frente a IPhone, por ejemplo) o sin saber si realmente le voy a dar tanto uso como para amortizar el gasto. Este dispositivo tiene una pantalla de 7'9'', que me parece perfecto para poderlo llevar de un sitio a otro. Dispone de 16 GB de memoria y conexión a Internet vía Wifi.
La funda fue regalo de Marian, que se decidió por ésta ya que tiene cierre imantado.
Todo esto se compró en Carrefour.

Apenas he tenido tiempo de configurarlo y trastear unas cuantas veces con él. Tengo de camino un protector de pantalla de cristal templado de Ebay, que confío quepa con la funda puesta.

10 - Pulsera y pendientes: Los trajeron de un viaje reciente. Aún no los he estrenado, pero curiosamente sí que me he comprado unos pendientes muy parecidos a la pulsera.

Today I'd like to show you the presents I got this Christmas from Marian and our parents. As you can tell from the post's title, I'm also including a few things I treated myself to. I don't know about you, but I really love myself!

I'll start off with what I bought myself.

1- Scinic Snail Eye Cream: I'm running out of the one I'm using from the same brand and I'd planned on getting Etude House's GoBack, but it was practically sold out everywhere or pricier than before. No idea if it was a limited edition or something. I took the easy way out then and ordered this instead. You know we like this brand a lot, as it works great for us.
I also ordered a multitasking fluid for men in my order, as we didn't really know what to get our dad. 
This is the *seller* I got it from, who sent me a CC Cream sample in a tube and a sheet mask for men.  

 2 -  Anskin Collagen Peel-off Mask: This salon-quality (& sized) mask is alcohol-free and comes in a powder that you must mix with water -with more powder than water.
I've only used this twice but I really liked how my skin felt afterwards, though I confess I need to measure the ingredients properly rather than doing it by eye to peel it off more easily. You shouldn't leave this on for more than a few minutes, as it dries too much, making it more difficult to peel off.
Since the jar is so big I'll give some Marian so she can try it herself.
I bought it off Ebay from this *seller*.



3 - Mixing Spatulas for face masks: I ordered this to be used with the above mentioned product. I ordered three so my mum and Marian could use it with said mask or with other products. They arrived this very morning, just in time to publish this post today with a quick snap.

 4 - *iHerb* order: I'll show you this properly in an specific post, as I received it yesterday - a month after ordering. I'm including a picture as an appetizer, though. LOL.
As you're well aware, you will have a discount on your first order by using another customer's code. Feel free to use mine (NBB297) or someone else's, but please be smart and use one, for goodness sake!!

And now, onto the presents I got from my family, including a surprise I wasn't expecting at all. As for Marian, I don't know what she'd do if she couldn't steal a glance at my wishlists and watchlists. She's like the people at this year's ECI department stores' commercials (see *video in Spanish*, where people ask their loved ones for hints to help them buy their presents. I.e.: (The first people in the video: Incidentally, are you allergic to gold or silver?, LOL)

5 - Day & Night Car Visor: Just like the one for sale on the homeshopping channel... but much cheaper as Marian ordered these off Ebay.  Attaching it to the car's sunvisor took a while, but so far so good. I've only tried the Day filtre, but I know the Night one will work great as both Marian and myself have a pair of unprescripted glasses with a yellow filtre and you see a lot more with them.

6 - NGS headphones for laptop: I don't know why but most of my headphones end up totally trashed, no matter how expensive they are. The ones I'd got from Marian before (a USB set from Logitech) are a mess. And it's just me, because hers look brand new. The sound quality is not nearly as good as with my current ones, but they're good for the average user. 
Purchased at the Mall, but they can be found much cheaper online.

7 - Catrice nail polishes and blusher and MakeUpRevolution Eyeshadow Palette in 'Welcome to the Pleasuredome':  Marian had a look at my wishlist and ordered this on Black Friday. Like many other people, she had some issues with the store, Primor regarding shipping, which took much longer than usual, about two weeks! Way too long for a domestic purchase. She's only tried on the blusher, which looks really pretty and suitable for everyday wear and the palette seems really versatile as it does not only contain neutrals.







8 -  'Oxygen Micro Essence Peeling' from Missha: Marian again sneaked into my Ebay watchlist and ordered this. I've only used this once, not long enough to form a proper opinion. You have to massage the product gently into the skin, wait a few minutes and then massage again to remove the product and the impurities off your skin. Although it contains alcohol, I didn't find it harsh.
The seller included two samples, one of a hand cream and an avocado moisturiser from Tony Moly.

And these two presents are obviously related and were a totally unexpected surpise.

9 - Ipad Mini 2 and cover case: Yes, my parents (esp. dear old mum) got a bit carried away going shopping and bought me something I'd never have guessed, not in a million years.
I recognize tablets got my eye but I'm not one to spend a fortune on a gadget when there are cheaper alternatives out there (i.e. Android vs. IPhone) or when I'm not even sure I'll use it enough to get my money's worth. The device has a 7'9'' inch screen, an ideal size to carry it with you anywhere. It has 16 GB of in-built memory and comes with WiFi connectivity.



Marian bought me the case and she liked this particular model as it came with a magnetic fastener.

I've barely had time to do the set-up and use it a handful of times. I've ordered a tempered glass screen protector off Ebay that is currently on its way and that hopefully will fit the case.

10 - Bangle and earrings: They bought this while on holiday recently. I haven't worn them yet, though I did get a pair of earrings that are very similar to the bangle.



We got some money from our uncle too, which always makes a great present, doesn't it?.

Favoritos del 2014 / Favourites in 2014

Nunca hemos escrito una entrada de este tipo en el blog, pero nos pareció interesante compartir con vosotras los que han sido nuestros productos favoritos este año.

Maquillaje.

1-  Maquillaje mineral compacto Sephora (Marox) en el tono 26 medium peach: Las dos lo hemos usado y nos encanta. Resulta muy cómodo el que venga en formato compacto, más fácil de trabajar que en polvo -ya que por mucho cuidado que tengas, siempre desperdicias producto y ensucias-. Marox lo suele usar con la esponjita que trae, bien por el lado blanco "con pelitos" para una cobertura más ligera o por el otro. Es ideal si no tenemos mucho tiempo, para llevarlo de viaje, etc. Lo volvería a comprar sin dudarlo y Marian se comprará uno cuando termine su maquillaje mineral en polvo. Lo bueno es que fue una compra a ciegas, ya que no vimos reseñas del producto por Internet. No contiene bismuto, a diferencia de algunos productos de por ejemplo, Bare Minerals.
Al ser de la marca Sephora, es probable encontrarlo con algún descuento.

2- Corrector Catrice (Marian).
Hace poco que os enseñé este producto, y la verdad es que estoy encantada con él.
Sin duda fue una buena idea dejarme aconsejar por la dependienta, porque ha sido un gran acierto.
Tiene una cobertura fantástica y se extiende fenomenal.

3- Automatic kajal de P2 (Marian).
Otro producto que os enseñé hace poco. Cuando se me terminó el que compré en Berlín pensé que no volvería a encontrar otro igual... hasta que Carlilla se ofreció para hacer de poticamella.
Como comprenderéis, no me lo pensé dos veces. Sabía que uno de los productos que iba a pedir sería éste.
Es muy cremoso y pigmenta una barbaridad, incluso en la línea de agua, cosa que no he conseguido con otros.

4- BB Creams asiáticas.
De las que hemos probado hasta la fecha, no habido ninguna que no nos haya gustado.



5- Paleta de sombras "Undressed" de MUA (Marian).
Le estoy sacando muchísimo partido, y sin duda ha sido uno de mis favoritos en 2014.
Ahora tengo que tener cuidado, porque de tanto usarla, se ha estropeado el cierre.
Obviamente, la foto que veis es de cuando la compré, toda nuevecita.
Ahora en varias de las sombras he tocado fondo.

6- Prebase de sombras Rival de Loop Young.
Este es otro producto que pudimos volver a tener cuando Carlilla nos dio la ocasión.
Es la mejor que he probado hasta ahora, y cunde muchísimo.

Cosmética facial.

1- Emulsión Scinic de ácido hialurónico (marox): Llevo gastado poco menos de la mitad y estoy muy contenta con este producto. En verano es muy agradable de usar y no deja sensación grasa en absoluto. Se absorbe rápidamente. Como única pega, estaría bien que tuviera dosificador.
Además, los productos de esta marca no siempre resultan fáciles de encontrar.

2- Limpiador Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Foam de Innisfree (marox): Las dos hemos probado este producto y nos está encantando. Hace una espumita muy agradable y la piel queda muy suave. El producto cunde un montón, ya que sólo necesitamos la cantidad equivalente a un garbanzo. Normalmente lo uso como segundo paso en mi ritual de doble limpieza.

3- Aceite limpiador 'Asian Sensations' de Belle (Eroski).
Retira fenomenal el maquillaje (o BB cream), y tiene una suave fragancia que no desagrada en absoluto. La pega es que con el cierre de muchos supermercados Eroski es más difícil de encontrar. Nos gusta más incluso que el Gold Progress de Mercadona, que hemos recomprado varias veces, ya que es más ligero.



4- Agua micelar de Garnier (Marian).
La utilizo para desmaquillar los ojos, y me va genial. No tengo que frotar y frotar para retirar el maquillaje. Eso es muy importante para mí.

Productos corporales.

1- Mantecas de TBS.
De las que hemos probado hasta ahora, no ha habido ninguna que no nos guste.
Aunque según la variedad, las hay más mantecosas o más fluidas, todas hidratan la piel a la perfección.
Sin duda repetiremos el próximo año.





Cabello.

1- Champú "El gran suave" de Bubbly.
Nos encantan estos champús sólidos.
Hemos probado otros de otras marcas, pero no nos han convencido. Nos quedamos con éstos, con los que también repetiremos en 2015.



2- Potion 9 de Sebastian.
Nos encanta este producto. Deja los rizos definidos, y no es un producto pegajoso (algo que odiamos), ni deja el pelo acartonado.

Uñas.

1- Poshé.
Nos encanta lo rápido que seca, y el brillo que da a las manicuras. Además, el pincel llega hasta el fondo del bote (no como ocurría con el Seche Vite).



2- Top sealer 'Better than gel nails' (Marox).
Es una alternativa más que aceptable al producto anterior. Tarda un poquito más en secar, y hay que dejar secar un poco más el esmalte que apliquemos debajo.
La ventaja de éste, para las que no os guste comprar por Internet, es que lo podéis encontrar en tiendas físicas que vendan Essence que tengan mueble de tratamiento.


3- Lima de cristal de Kiko (Marox): La tengo desde hará cuatro años tranquilamente y sigue como el primer día. A diferencia de las limas de cristal chinas, ésta no pierde la superficie rugosa. La pena es que no haya más tiendas físicas de KIKO. Por 2,50€ no encontraréis nada mejor.



Estos han sido nuestros productos favoritos.

We've never written one of those Favourites posts, but we thought you'd appreciate that we'd share with you the products that we've loved this year.

Make-up.

1- Sephora compact mineral make-up (Marox) in the shade 26 medium peach:
We both have used it and we love it. The fact that it is a pressed powder makes it more convenient than a loose powder, as no matter how careful you are, you waste more product and it is messier.
Marox usually applies it with the sponge included, either with the white side for a lighter coverage, or with the other one.
It's great for those days when you are in a hurry and for travelling. I'd definitely repurchase it with my eyes closed, and Marian will get one for her, as soon as she uses up the mineral loose powder she has.
The truth is that it was a blind purchase, since we couldn't find any reviews online. It doesn't contain bismuth, unlike some products from leading brands such as Bare Minerals.
Another upside is that as this is a Sephora branded product, you can usually find an offer voucher.

2- Catrice concealer (Marian): I recently showed you this and the truth is I'm very pleased with it. It was no doubt a good idea to follow the shop assistant's advice, because it's been a hit.
Coverage is excellent and it is easy to spread and blend.

3- P2 automatic kajal: Another product I shared with you recently. After using up the one I'd bought in Berlin I was fearing I'd never be able to find a similar one... until Carlilla offered to smuggle this all the way from Germany to us.
Needless to say I didn't need to think twice and said yes. I knew for sure this would be one of the products I'd ask her to get for us.
It's very creamy and the colour payoff is incredible, even in the waterline, which is other products' weak spot.

4- Asian BB Creams: Out of the ones we've tried so far, we have yet to be disappointed with them.



5-  'Undressed' Eyeshadow Palette from MUA (Marian).
I'm using it a lot, and it certainly is one of my favourites in 2014.
Now I must be very careful with it, because since I've been using it that much, the lock is broken.
Obviously, the picture you see was taken right after I bought it, when it was brand new.
Now I've hit pan on some of the eyeshadows.


6- Eyeshadow base from Rival de Loop Young.
This is another item we could buy again when Carlilla gave us the chance.
It's the best one I've tried so far, and a little product goes a long way.

Skincare.

1- Scinic Hyaluronic Acid Lotion (marox): I've used almost half the bottle and I like it very much. It's lightweight and pleasant to use in the summer, with no greasy feeling whatsoever. It is quickly absorbed. My only criticism has to do with the lack of a pump. 
Besides, this brand is quite hard to find sometimes.

2- Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Foam Wash (marox): We've both used this and love it. It lathers nicely and leaves your skin feeling really soft afterwards. A little goes a long way with this, as you only need a pea-sized amount. This is usually the second step in my double cleansing ritual.

3- 'Asian Sensations' oil cleanser from Belle (Eroski): This cleanser from this Spanish supermarket store brand is great to remove makeup and the scent is very subtle. The downside is that it is now harder to find, as many Eroski supermarkets have closed down recently.
We like this even more than the oil cleanser from Mercadona supermarkets, as this is lighter.

4- Garnier micellar cleansing water (marian): I use this to remove my eye makeup and I love it. I don't have to rub the area over and over again to get the job done, which is a must for me.



Body care.

1- TBS body butters: The ones we've tried so far were all great. Depending on the range, they can be thicker and more buttery or more fluid, but they all do a great job at keeping your skin moisturised.
It goes without saying we'll get more next year.

Haircare.

1- 'Big Softy' Bubbly shampoo bar: We love these shampoo bars. We've tried others but were not as happy with them as with these. We'll stick to these and will use them again in 2015.

2- Sebastian's Potion 9: We love this product. Curls are defined yet not sticky or stiff.

Nails.

1- Poshé fast-dry topcoat: We like the fact that it is quick-drying. Besides, the brush gets all the way to the bottom of the bottle -unlike the Seche Vite one-.

2- Essence 'Better than Gel Nails' top sealer (Marox): This is a great alternative for the previous product. Drying takes a little bit longer and you have to wait a bit for your base colour to dry, but it's a great product all the same.
One of the pros of this for those of you who don't like shopping online is that it is more readily available, as it can be found in stores that have the Essence 2-metre counter.



3- Glass nail file from Kiko (marox): I've had this for a good four years and it's still in mint condition. Unlike other glass nail files from China, the filing surface does not wear off over time. I just wish there was a KIKO store here. You can't beat it at €2.50.

These are our favourites this year.

UDLS / NOTW: Gina Tricot 'Turquoise Dust'

Hola, chicas:

Espero que hayáis pasado una Nochebuena fantástica, y que Papá Noel os haya traído muchas cosas. Aunque quizá prefiráis esperar a los Reyes Magos.

Confesamos que en nuestra familia nos hemos dado los regalos como una semana antes de Nochebuena, porque somos unos ansias todos.

El esmalte que os enseño hoy fue una de mis adquisiciones en nuestro último viaje. La cadena de ropa Gina Tricot de la capital sueca tiene su propia linea de maquillaje y lo que más nos llamó la atención fueron sus *esmaltes*.

Me decidí por este, que me recordó mucho al 'Mermaid's Dream' de Deborah Lippmann. Buscando por internet, he visto que de hecho es así y que tienen otros esmaltes imitando a los de DL. Además, no están testados en animales.
Podéis ver una comparativa de los dos esmaltes en *este* enlace. El de Deborah Lippmann es el más cubriente, evidentemente, pero el color y el efecto están bastante conseguidos. Para que el de Gina Tricot quede cubriente habría que dar cuatro capas.

En las fotos, llevo un par de capas del esmalte Turquoise Dust únicamente. Sí, me pudo el ansia durante el viaje y lo estrené allí mismo. Nunca llevo esmaltes en el neceser porque sé que seguro que alguno se viene conmigo fijo de regreso y porque sé que si los llevo es probable que no tenga tiempo de usarlos.



La duración creo que fue de unos dos-tres días, normal con el ajetreo y al no llevar nada más.
El esmalte como podéis ver no es del todo opaco, pero creo que eso es algo que se podría mejorar poniendo una base blanca u otro esmalte debajo.
El glitter que lleva hace que tengáis que tener algo de paciencia a la hora de retirarlo.

Hace mucho que no me despido con música, así que aquí va una canción de un grupo que he descubierto hace poco y que no logro quitarme de la cabeza. ¡Dadle al play!
Está claro que voy contracorriente, ya que lo normal en un día como hoy sería cerrar una entrada con un villancico o algo así. Pues no, el tema es de lo más cañero.

We hope you had a great Christmas Eve, and that Santa was good to you and brought you many presents. Maybe you prefer to wait for The Three Wise Men.

We confess that in our family we gave each other our presents about a week before Christmas Eve, because we're such 'hurry warts' we can't wait to see each other's faces as we open up our presents.

The polish I'm sharing with you today was one of my purchases during our recent trip to Stockholm this summer.

The clothing store chain Gina Tricot had its own make-up brand and we were drawn to their *nail polishes* almost at once.
This one caught my eye, as I suspected it could be a decent enough dupe for Deborah Lippmann's 'Mermaid's Dream'.
I searched online for this later and found that it was indeed considered so. The brand apparently has other DL dupes.

Another plus is the fact that their polishes are cruelty free.

*Here*'s a side by side comparison of the two, where you'll see the Deborah Lippmann one comes out the winner in terms of coverage and opacity, but I'd say they nailed the colour and effect all the same. This Gina Tricot polish would need around 4 coats to be opaque.

In the pics I'm wearing Turquoise Dust on bare nails. Yes, I was so eager to try it that I had to use it right there and (almost) then. You get the idea. I never carry nail polishes in my travel vanity case, as I know that I'll return home with a few or I won't have time to use the ones I pack.



 I'd say wear time for this was two to three days -the usual, more or less- not bad considering I wore this on bare nails with no top coat.
The polish is not fully opaque in the pics but this could be solved using it for layering or over a white base polish.
Removal will take a bit longer because of the glitter, so take your time.

It's been a while since I last wrapped up a post with some music, so here's some ear candy. I discovered the band recently through this song and I can't get it out of my head. Just hit play!
It seems I'm somewhat going against the grain by not including a Christmas song as an ending on a day like today. What can I say? I chose an uptempo song, why not?

UDLS/NOTW: Lumene "43 Blue Star".

Hola, chicas:

Aquí vengo a enseñaros mi última manicura hasta ahora.

El protagonista principal es este esmalte de Lumene, que compré en nuestro viaje a Estocolmo. Os lo enseñamos *aquí*.
Es un esmalte en un tono azul oscuro con reflejos en distintos tonos de azul.
No me lo esperaba, pero la verdad es que ha tenido mucho éxito entre mis compañeras de trabajo, que hasta me preguntaron que qué esmalte era.

Aquí podéis ver a todos los protagonistas de esta manicura.



Primero apliqué una capa del gel de calcio de Basic, después dos finas capas de este esmalte, y por último, el top coat de Poshé, para terminar, que me encanta, porque da un brillo precioso.

He quedado encantada con la duración de este esmalte. He llevado esta manicura durante... ¡¡una semana!!



Tengo algún otro esmalte de la marca por probar, así que ya los iréis viendo.

Hi girls,

Here I am to share with you my latest mani so far.

The lead character in this mani is this Lumene nail polish that I brought home from our recent trip to Stockholm. You saw it in the corresponding Haul post *here*.
It's dark blue and shows different variations of blue under different lights. I wasn't expecting that and it was certainly eyecatching enough, as my workmates all praised it and went as far as asking what nail polish I was wearing.

And here's the rest of the cast.

I first applied a coat of my Basic calcium gel and then another two thinnish coats of this lacquer. I topped it with some Poshé, as I love the shine it gives to my manis.



I'm head over heels in love with this lacquer's staying power. I wore this for... a week!!

I have another polish from this brand awaiting its turn to shine, so expect another Lumene at some point.

Productos terminados #33 - 'Finito' products #33.

Aquí venimos con una nueva reseña de los productos que hemos acabado últimamente.

1 - Manteca corporal de papaya, de The Body Shop (Marian).
Ha sido la primera manteca que he probado de esta marca, y obviamente no será la última, porque ya estoy usando la de arándano azul, y tengo esperando la de moringa.
Me encanta cómo hidratan estas mantecas, y el olor que dejan.
Lo que sí os puedo decir es que dependiendo de la variedad, tienen una textura más mantecosa o más fluida.
Esta de papaya está entre las primeras. A pesar de su textura mantecosa, se extiende bien.

2 - Agua micelar de algas marinas de Ziaja (Marian).
No está mal, pero tampoco es como para tirar cohetes. Retira bien el maquillaje, pero hay que insistir mucho. Como la utilizo para desmaquillar los ojos, no creo que frotar y frotar sea una buena idea.
De momento, no repetiré con ella.

3 - Máscara de pestañas "Big bold", de NYC, en el tono "extra black" (Marian).
Me ha gustado bastante. Deja las pestañas muy negras y sin grumos de producto.
Me costó acostumbrarme al grosor del gupillón. Parecía que me lo iba a meter en el ojo. ¡Qué miedo!
De momento, no voy a repetir con ella, pero tampoco la descarto totalmente.



4 - Lápiz de ojos automático de Yves Rocher, en tono negro (Marian).
Con éste sí que no voy a repetir. Me ha decepcionado muchísimo.
Cuando lo compré, buscaba un lápiz khol (de esos gordotes), y me dijeron en la tienda que ese producto estaba descatalogado, pero que lo había sustituído éste.
Tururú que te ví. Vamos, ni parecido.
Pigmenta poquísimo, y precisamente buscaba una alta pigmentación.
Además, los productos de Yves Rocher, a no ser que estén en promoción, o utilices un cupón de descuento, no son precisamente baratos.
Pigmentan cien mil veces más los de Essence, por ejemplo, por mucho menos dinero. Y también son resistentes al agua.

5 - Manteca de karité de Yves Rocher (Marox).
Como veis en la foto, no está terminado.
Es un producto que he usado muy poco, y llevaba tanto tiempo abierto que huele a rancio, así que creo que llegó el momento de darlo por terminado.
Lo he estado utilizando para hidratar la zona de los codos, por ejemplo.

Bien, estos han sido nuestros "terminados" hasta el momento.

Here we are once again ready to give you our thoughts on our latest 'Empties'.

1- Papaya Body Butter from TBS (Marian): It's been my first from the brand and it won't be the last. I'm currently using the blueberry one and the moringa one will be next.
I love how moisturising these are and the scent.
One thing I should mention is how different the texture is depending on the variety, as these body butters can be thicker and more buttery or can go on more smoothly. The papaya one belongs to the former, though despite the buttery consistency it still goes on quite smoothly.

2- Sea weed micellar water from Ziaja (Marian): Not bad, but this is nothing to write home about in any case. I use this cleansing water to remove my eye makeup and I honestly don't think it's a good idea to rub my eyes repeatedly with this.
For the time being, I won't repurchase.



3- 'Big Bold' NYC mascara in the shade 'extra black' (Marian): I liked this a lot. You get really black lashes with no clumps. Getting used to the huge wand took some time, though. I was afraid I'd poke it into my eye, no kidding!
I won't repurchase for now, though I'm not ruling that out entirely.

4-  Automatic eye pencil in black from Yves Rocher (Marian): I will definitely NOT buy this again. It's been a huge disappointment.
When I originally bought this, I was looking for a khol pencil -one of those thick ones, you know- and was told it was discontinued but had been replaced with this.
My a*s. Not even close.
The colour payoff is really lame, exactly the opposite of what I was looking for.
Besides, Yves Rocher products aren't exactly cheap unless there's a sale, voucher or promotion of some sort.
The Essence ones are a million times better in terms of pigmentation and at a fraction of the cost. And are waterproof too.



5 - Yves Rocher shea butter (marox):  As you can see in the picture this is far from being used up. I haven't used this very often and unfortunately it has gone off, so no other choice but to throw it away.
I was using this to keep my elbows and other extremely dry areas moisturised.

UDLS / NOTW: Isadora 731 Silver Sky.

Aquí estoy de nuevo, para enseñaros mi última manicura hasta ahora.

Día 1: Aplico una capa de la base de Essence BTGN. Cuando seca, una capa generosa de este esmalte. El pincel desde luego es lo que anuncia la marca: ancho, ancho, tanto que cubre la uña prácticamente de una pasada. Cuando ha secado un poquito, añado una capa del top coat de Essence de la misma gama.



Día 5: Me lo quito ya que el día anterior al lavarme el pelo se empezó a desconchar el esmalte. Algunas de las fotos que acompañan este post están hechas poco antes de quitármelo.

La verdad es que este primer coqueteo con los esmaltes de la marca Isadora ha sido muy, muy positivo. Rara vez me dura tanto un esmalte puesto. El pincel me ha parecido cómodo y rápido.
No descarto probar alguno más si los encuentro a buen precio. Este esmalte lo compré en Suecia, en la sección de cosmética de los almacenes Ahlens, dentro de unas cajas con productos rebajados. Me costó 29 coronas (3,21 €).

It's time for me to share with you my latest mani so far.

Day 1: I applied a coat of the Essence BTGN base sealer. Once dry, I added a generous coat of this lacquer. The brush is definitely what the brand claims: very, very wide, enough to cover your nails in one swipe. A couple of minutes later I applied a coat of the Essence top sealer from the same range.



Day 5:  I removed the polish, as it had started to chip the day before after washing my hair. Some of the photos in this post were taken shortly before removal.



The truth is that I'm extremely pleased with my first Isadora nail polish, especially as far lasting power is concerned. I can seldom wear a polish for so long in decent condition. As for the brush, it was very convenient and easy to work with.
I don't rule out trying more polishes from Isadora, as long as I find them on sale.
I purchased this at the beauty hall of an Ahlens department store outlet. I paid 29 SEK for this (3.21 EUR).
