Receta: Bizcocho de zanahoria - Recipe: carrot cake.

Hola, chicas:

Hacía tiempo que no os traía una receta.
Y como buena golosa que soy, la receta es dulce.

Aquí tenéis los ingredientes:

*3 zanahorias grandes peladas.
*3 huevos.
*130 gr aceite de girasol.
*230 gr azúcar pulverizada.
*220 gr harina de trigo.
*1 sobre de levadura química.
*Canela al gusto.

Preparación en Thermomix (o cualquier otro robot de cocina).

Pulverizar el azúcar durante 10 segundos en velocidad 7 y reservar.
Poner las zanahorias en el vaso y triturar 3 segundos a velocidad 6.
Bajar los restos de las paredes del vaso y volver a triturar 3 segundos a la misma velocidad.
Añadir los huevos y el aceite y programar 5 minutos, 37ºC, velocidad 3.
Agregar la harina, el azúcar, la canela y la levadura en polvo y programar 15 segundos a velocidad 5.

Verter la mezcla en un molde previamente untado con mantequilla y harina.

Introducir en el horno a 180ºC durante aproximadamente 30 minutos (yo lo tuve 45, porque con 30 todavía estaba crudo, pero supongo que dependerá de cada horno).

El resultado es este que veis, y de sabor está buenísimo.

 Hi ladies,

It'd been a while since my last recipe. And considering I have a sweet tooth, it had to be a dessert.

Here are the ingredients:

*3 large carrots, peeled.
*3 eggs
*130 gr sunflower seed oil (or another flavourless oil)
*230 icing sugar
*220 gr wheat flour
*1 sachet baking powder
*Cinammon to taste



How to make it (on the Thermomix or any other food processor).

Grind the sugar by pulsing it for 10 seconds, Speed 7. Then set aside.
Put the carrots in the Thermomix bowl and blend for 3 seconds, Speed 6.

Scrape any leftovers from the bowl and blend again for 3 more seconds, Speed 6.

Add in the eggs and the oil and set 5 minutes, 37ºC, Speed 3.
Then add the flour, sugar, cinammon and baking powder and set 15 seconds on Speed 5.

Pour the batter into a pre-greased mold sprinkled with some flour.

Bake in the oven at 180ºC for about 30 minutes (mine had to be in for 45, as it was still uncooked so keep an eye on your oven).

The result speaks for itself and let me tell the taste was out of this world.

Compras Rebajas / Sales Haul 2019 (II)

Hola de nuevo, chicas:

En esta segunda entrega os enseñamos las compras de belleza y maquillaje durante el periodo de rebajas -si bien no todo estaba rebajado-.

Comenzamos con las compritas en Sephora:

1 - Neceser con minitallas de Belif (marox): Hablan tan bien de esta marca que este neceser era una buena oportunidad para probar cinco de sus productos más conocidos. Algunos productos son engañosos con el tamaño, como son los tarritos, con 5 y 10 ml respectivamente.
Aún no los he probado. Lo ideal sería hacerlo en un viaje, pero me conozco y seguro que luego no me los llevo.

2 - Mascarilla arcilla rosa Sephora (marox): En su día compré la morada -de la que aún me queda bastante- porque no tenían la rosa. Me gusta porque no se seca del todo y deja la piel hidratada. El formato me parece fantástico y da para mucho más que los 4 usos que pone. Al menos a mí, que me gusta aplicar una capa fina de producto. 

3 - Mascarilla tissú matificante anti-imperfecciones de té verde (marox): Como últimamente me ha dado por este formato de mascarillas, encontré una rebajada, como véis en la foto. No entiendo por qué las demás no estaban rebajadas. Además, en la web suelen tener más rebajas. En fin, supongo que las ofertas no coinciden y siempre podemos coger unas cosas en tienda y otras en la web.
No la he usado aún. Está fabricada en Taiwán, y como es habitual allí, la mascarilla va protegida por una película que hay que retirar.
Realmente no tengo muchos brillos ni imperfecciones en la piel, así que quizá se la ceda a mi hermana.

Y ahora viene la compra capricho. **Redoble de tambor**

4 - Set minitallas iluminador y colorete de Nars (marox):  Me apetecía hacerme con un iluminador bonito. Como no pude hacerme con el de Nyx en polvo que vino hace poco con una revista ni tampoco en tienda con el de WetnWild -ambos con muy buenas opiniones- vi este set que la marca lanzó por Navidad. Son los tonos Dolce Vita y Capri.
Hubo un pequeño percance: el iluminador vino roto, totalmente desprendido del "pan" y Marian tuvo que descambiarlo por otro kit.
Ya los he usado y la verdad es que quedan preciosos. El tamaño está muy bien para ser una minitalla.

5- Cracker de Origins (Marian).
Incluye 6 minitallas de estos productos:
*Contorno de ojos refrescante.
*Tratamiento de manos rejuvenecedor.
*Espuma limpiadora facial.
*Gel hidratante energizante.
*Gel dermoabrasión suave.
*Mascarilla de carbón activado.



Todavía no los he estrenado, pero tienen muy buena pinta todos.
Me costó 25€.

6- Mascarilla facial de arándanos, de Skin Food (Marian).
Ya sabéis lo mucho que nos gusta la cosmética coreana.
Así que quise aprovechar los precios locos de Sephora para hacerme con esta mascarilla.
Todavía no la he estrenado, porque tengo varias en uso, y quiero ir terminando productos.

Con nuestra compra, nos dieron varias muestras, todas de su marca: un minitinte labial, unas toallitas exfoliantes y un maquillaje.

In this second and last installment we're sharing with you all the beauty and makeup items we bought during the sales season. Mind you, not everything was discounted.

Let's start with our Sephora Haul, shall we?

1 - Belif  'Bestsellers on-the-go travel kit' (marox): Everyone seems to rave about this brand, so this kit seemed a good way to try five of their bestselling items.
The size of some of them is a bit misleading, like the jars which are only 5 and 10 ml respectively.
Haven't tried any of them just yet. The best thing would be using them for travel, but knowing myself I may end up forgetting and getting my usual products instead.

2 - Sephora Pink Clay Mask (marox): Some time ago I got the purple one because this one was sold out. I like the fact that they don't dry out completely and leave your skin plump and moisturized. I think the format is incredibly convenient and I can stretch a lot beyond the stated 4 uses. At least I can, since I like to apply thinnish layers of face masks.

 3 - Green Tea Mattifying & anti-blemish Sheet Mask (marox): I've jumped into the sheet mask bandwagon lately and found this lonely mask on sale. I don't really understand why they didn't do the same with the others. Besides, in-store sales at Sephora are different (i.e. worse) than those online. I guess their sales don't match up and one can always get some things in-store and others on their website.
It's made in Taiwan and like most Taiwanese sheet masks these come with a protective film you need to peel off before using.
I don't really have oily or blemish-prone skin, so I may give this to my sister. 

And now comes what I splurged in. **Drumroll**

 4- Travel-sized Highlighter and Blush kit from Nars (marox): I really wanted to get a nice highlighter. Since I was unable to get my hands neither on the powder Nyx one that came as a recent freebie with a Spanish magazine nor on the WetnWild one -both with excellent reviews- I saw this lovely set that Nars put out for Christmas, including the shades Dolce Vita and Capri.
There was a small setback: the highlighter in the kit was broken, completely separated from the pan and Marian had to take it back and get a new one.
I've used them both and they're gorgeous. They look great on the skin and the size is decent enough for a travel product.

5- Origins cracker (Marian).
It includes 6 minisize products:
*Refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff.
*Rejuvenating hand treatment.
*Frothy face wash.
*Energy-boosting gel moisturizer.
*Nature's Gentle dermabrasion.
*Active charcoal pore-clearing mask.

I haven't used them yet, but they all look great.
I paid €25.

6- Cranberry face mask, from Skin Food (Marian).
You already know how much we like Korean skincare.
So I wanted to make the most of the Sephora sales (called Crazy Prices here in Spain), and bought this mask.
I haven't used it yet, because I still have some in use, and I'd like to use stuff up.



Together with our purchase, we got some samples from their brand: a mini lip stain, exfoliating wipes and make-up.

Compras Rebajas 2019 / Sales Haul 2019 (I)

Hola, chicas:

¿Pensábais que no íbamos a picar con las rebajas? Pues sí. Esto es lo que compramos.

Os enseñamos primero las compras de ropa en rebajas.
En primer lugar, unas compras en Koroshi, tienda con una estética similar a Desigual, pero con precios mucho más normales y buenas promociones.

1 - Pantalón vaquero gris (marox): El precio original era de 39,99€ y estaba rebajado a 19,99€. Es la talla 40 (tienen desde la talla 34 a la 44). Me gusta que el tejido es algo elástico, que siempre se ajusta mejor al cuerpo.

2 - Pantalón vaquero azul oscuro (marox): Al igual que el anterior, marcaba 39,99€ y se quedó en 19,99€. Tiene la pata algo más ancha que el gris. La tela es también un poco elástica.

3- Pantalón vaquero azul claro (Marian).
Es la talla 40. Marcaba 39,99€ y se quedó en 17,99€. Al igual que los anteriores, el tejido es elástico.

4- Pantalón vaquero azul oscuro (Marian).
También en la talla 40. Marcaba 42,99€ y se quedó en 19,99€. El tejido también es elástico.

Me encantan los detalles que ambos tienen en la cinturilla y los bolsillos traseros.

5- Pijama "In Extenso" (Marian).
Había desechado uno que se me había deteriorado mucho, y lo he sustituido por éste.
Marcaba 14,99€ y se ha quedado en 8,99€.
Lo compré en Alcampo.
Es muy cómodo y calentito.

6- Botines Pitillos (Marian).
En una reciente visita a Zamora, compré estos botines. Los últimos que compré estaban los pobres hechos polvo, porque les he dado mucha caña.
Ya los he estrenado, y puedo deciros que son comodísimos.
Me costaron 59€.

Y ahora os enseñamos lo que compramos en Gangamanía, una feria de stock en Burgos.

7- Botines Xti (Marian).

Me gustaron mucho tanto el color como el diseño, y el detalle que tiene atrás.
Aunque tiene el tacón más alto de lo que yo suelo llevar, me pareció bastante cómodo.
También es cierto que me las probé unos minutos. Espero que sigan siendo cómodos cuando les dé tralla.



8- Jersey azul con detalles plateados (Marian).
Me gustó mucho el color (casi es igual que el de los botines), y los detalles plateados no son estridentes. Es muy calentito, perfecto para estos días de frío.
En la foto veis que marcaba 49,95€. Pagué por él 18€, así que realmente fue una ganga.

9 - Zapatillas Xti (Mar): También las compré en esta feria. Tenían una promoción y comprando dos pares -éstos míos y los botines de Marian- salían a X€.
Las he usado ya varias veces. La derecha entra mejor que la izquierda, que me cuesta bastante meter. No sé vosotros, pero mi pie izquierdo es siempre más problemático en cuanto se refiere a calzado. Una vez puestas, son bastante cómodas -aunque no tanto como mis Sketchers Hollywood Rose-. Me gustan éstas porque al ser oscuras pegan con todo y tienen el detalle de los brillos que les da un toque sin ser muy cantosas.

Did you think we let the sales pass us by empty-handed? No, we didn't. Here are the clothes we got during the sales.

First off, a few things from Koroshi. We love their Desigual vibes for a fraction of the price. Besides, they have promotions on a regular basis.

1 - Grey Jeans (marox): It was marked down from €39.99 to €19.99. It's a size 40 -their stock ranges from a size 34 to 44)-.
I like the fact that the fabric is a bit stretchy, as they hug the body better.

2 - Navy Blue Jeans (marox): Again, marked down from €39.99 to €19.99. The bottom leg is slightly wider than on the other pair. The fabric is stretchy as well.

3- Light blue jeans (Marian).
It's a size 40. It was marked down from €39.99 to €17.99.
As the others above, the fabric is a bit stretchy.

4- Dark blue jeans (Marian).
It's also a size 40. It was marked down from €42.99 to €19.99.
It also comes in a stretchy fabric.



I love the decorations both of them have on the waist band and back pockets.

5- 'In Extenso' pyjamas (Marian).
It's a replacement for another one that was really well-worn.
It was marked down from €14.99 to €8.99.
I bought it at Alcampo supermarket.
It's very warm and comfy.

6 - Ankle boots from Pitillos (Marian): I got this on a recent trip to our hometown, Zamora. The ones I'd last bought there are looking a little bit worse for wear, because I've worn them pretty much nonstop.
I have already worn this new pair and they're really comfortable too. These retailed at €59. 

And finally, the stuff we got at a local discount fair, Gangamanía.




7 - Xti Ankle Boots (Marian): I liked both the colour and the design, as well as the laces at the back.
Even though the heel is higher than what I usually wear, it felt fairly comfortable. That being said, I only tried them for a few minutes, so I hope they will be equally comfy as they get through the wars.

8- Silvery Blue Jumper (Marian):
I really liked the colour -almost the same as in the boots-  and the fact that the silver threading is not very gaudy. It is very warm, perfect for the cold weather.



You'll see what this retailed for in the pic, €49.95, but was marked down to €18, so it was a bargain indeed.

9 - Zapatillas Xti (Mar): Also bought at the fair. They had a special deal that if you bought two (these and the ones Marian got) you paid x€ for both. The left shoe is a lot harder to put on than the right one. I don't know about you, but my left foot is slightly bigger than the right one and that's why I sometimes struggle when shopping for footwear.
Once you have them on, they're quite comfy, although not as much as my Sketchers Hollywood Rose-. What I like about these is the fact that they're black, as you can combine them better and the silvery specks give it a nice touch without them being too flashy.

Libros / Books: Brooklyn - Colm Tóibín

Hoy os traigo reseña bibliográfica, que hacía siglos, del último libro que he leído. He tardado en leerlo porque no he tenido mucho tiempo y también porque el Reader no va muy fino últimamente. 

 Brooklyn es la sexta novela del afamado escritor irlandés Colm Tóibín, situada a caballo entre Brooklyn e Irlanda a principios de los 50 y que tiene como protagonista a una joven dispuesta a cruzar el océano para forjarse una nueva vida.

En un pequeño pueblo del sudeste de Irlanda, Eilis Lacey es una chica de familia humilde que, como tantos otros, no encuentra trabajo en la Irlanda de la postguerra, de modo que, cuando se le ofrece un puesto en Norteamérica a través de un sacerdote irlandés de Brooklyn, no duda en aceptarlo aunque ello suponga dejar a su frágil madre y a su hermana en su Enniscorthy natal.

Poco a poco, Eilis se abre paso en el Brooklyn de los años cincuenta gracias a su trabajo en unos grandes almacenes en Fulton Street y, a pesar de la nostalgia y del exilio, encuentra incluso un primer amor en Tony, un joven italiano con una gran familia que poco a poco se gana su afecto.
Inesperadamente, sin embargo, trágicas noticas de Irlanda le obligan a regresar, poniendo en riesgo la promesa de una nueva vida.

Leí esta novela tiempo después de ver la película, que disfruté mucho. Es una historia tranquila y suele ser una recomendación que hago a quienes quieren ver una película en versión original sin agobiarse.

He disfrutado la novela casi tanto como la película, sufriendo con la joven Eilis la nostalgia de sus primeros meses en Brooklyn, y disfrutando cómo poco a poco va ganando en confianza en sí misma. En cuanto a los personajes secundarios, Tony me gustó más en la película, como quizá también Rose por tener mayor protagonismo.

En definitiva, una historia para disfrutar sin ser de las que dejan huella.

Today it's time to review my latest read. It's taken me a long time to finish, partly because time was at a premium and also because my EReader has been acting funny lately.

 Colm Tóibín's sixth novel, Brooklyn, is set in Brooklyn and Ireland in the early 1950s, when one young woman crosses the ocean to make a new life for herself.

Eilis Lacey has come of age in small-town Ireland in the years following World War Two. She cannot find a job in the miserable Irish economy until an Irish priest from Brooklyn offers to sponsor Eilis in America--to live and work in a Brooklyn neighborhood "just like Ireland"--she decides she must go, leaving her fragile mother and her charismatic sister behind in Enniscorthy.

Eilis finds work in a department store on Fulton Street, and when she least expects it, finds love in Tony, a blond Italian from a big family, slowly wins her over with patient charm. But just as Eilis begins to fall in love with Tony, devastating news from Ireland threatens the promise of her future.

I read this novel after having seen the film. The film is one that I recommend anyone interested in seeing films in English but without being overwhelmed by the experience. 

I enjoyed the novel almost as much as I did the film. I shared Eilis homesickness during her first few months in Brooklyn and loved seeing her blossoming into a confident young woman. As for the rest of the characters, I did like the Tony in the film a bit more, just like with Rose, as I felt her role was stronger in the film.

Anyway, a heartwarming story to enjoy, even if it does not leave a long-lasting mark on you. 

Compras varias acumuladas / Sundry Haul 2019 (I)

Aquí estamos de nuevo para enseñaros nuestras últimas compras.

1 - Colonia 'Magic Chic' de Deliplus (Mercadona): Hablaban muy bien de esta colonia por Internet. Creo que ya tiene un tiempo. Como tengo un par de body sprays a punto de terminarse, pues los sustituiré por ésta. Se la encargué a Marian, que tenía que ir al supermercado Mercadona a por unas cosillas. Es baratita, como 2 o 3 euros y trae 300ml. El envase es reutilizable, al ser un plástico tipo 5.
Alguna gente decía que el olor recordaba al de la colonia Anaïs Anaïs Premier Delice.

 2 -Desodorante Dove sin aluminio: Lleva extractos de té verde y pepino. De vez en cuando me gusta probar algo sin aluminio que se encuentre en supermercados y que no se tenga que comprar al extranjero por internet. Comprado en Primaprix, por 1,55€.

3 - Mascarilla puntos negros Revox (marox): La compré en Arenal, para sustituir a otra coreana que ya estaba en las últimas y que costaba mucho extender.
De momento la he usado sólo una vez y va bien. Apliqué una capa finita de mascarilla en la nariz, entrecejo y barbilla y retiré con  cuidado unos minutos después, cuando se secó.
Ya no recuerdo el precio.

4 - Revista Glamour Febrero (marox): Le tenía echado el ojo desde que anunciaron el regalo el mes pasado. Me llevé una sorpresa para bien, ya que no creí que fuera a traer una crema de manos en formato 100ml. La crema hidrata genial las manos, aunque el olor tan... raruno no es que me entusiasme.
También disponible la variedad de rosa inglesa y de karité. Tentada estoy de pillar alguna más, ya que en tienda cuestan 12€.

5 - Revista Cosmopolitan mini, Febrero (marox): Por ese precio, no está nada mal. Los cascos, sin tener una calidad brutal, como es lógico, se escuchan bastante bien y resultan útiles para ver videos en la tablet o el móvil en casa.

6 - Mascarilla hidrogel Pure & Care, de Primaprix: La vi otras veces en la tienda, pero valía casi 5 euros y como que no estaba dispuesta a pagar tanto por un tratamiento que en principio es de un sólo uso (aunque a veces podamos aprovechar la esencia sobrante). La última vez que estuve en la tienda costaba 1,95€, un precio mucho más normal. La composición parece bastante buena. Todavía no la he utilizado, pero cuando lo haga, tendréis mis impresiones en algún post de Terminados.

Here we are again to show you our latest purchases.

1 - Eau de Toilette 'Magic Chic' from Deliplus (Mercadona supermarkets): I heard several people raving about this online. It's not a new release. I have a couple body sprays on their last legs and this will replace them when the time comes. I asked Marian to get it for me, since she had to go there to grab some other groceries. It's very affordable, about 2 or 3 euros and contains 300ml. The bottle can be repurposed after use, as it is a type-5 plastic.
Some people commented the scent reminded them of Anaïs Anaïs Premier Delice.

2 - Dove aluminium-free deodorant: It contains green tea and cucumber extracts. Every now and then I like to try aluminium-free deodorants that can be found on supermarkets or drugstores, that you don't have to order online from abroad.
I bought this at a local Primaprix discount supermarket for €1.55.

3 - Revox Blackhead peel-off mask for marox:  I bought this at a local drugstore, Arenal, to replace a Korean one that was on its last legs and that I had a really hard time spreading.
So far, I've only used this once and works fine. I applied a thin coat on my nose, between my brows and on my chin and then peeled it off when it dried out.
I don't remember the price.

4 - Glamour magazine, February issue (marox): I had my greedy eye on this ever since they announced what the next freebie would be. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the hand cream came in the large 100ml tube. This cream provides excellent hydration for dry hands, despite the... erm... funky smell. Also available were the British rose and Shea range. I'm tempted to grab some more, as these retail at €12 in store.

5 - Cosmopolitan Pocket edition, February issue (marox): Not too bad for the price. The headphones are decent enough and are handy to watch videos on your tablet or smartphone at home.

6 - Hydrogel face mask 'Pure & Care', from Primaprix: I'd seen this on previous trips to the shop but was about 5 euros and I wasn't that eager to try it and fork out that much on a treatment that is supposed to be single use -even if you can sometimes use the remaining essence the next day-. The last time I was there it was priced much more affordable, at €1.95. The ingredient list looks quite good too. I haven't tested this yet, but no worries, I'll give you my two cents about it in an Empties post when the time comes.

Productos Terminados / 'Finito' Products 2019 (II)

Hola, chicas:

Aquí estamos para enseñaros los productos que hemos terminado últimamente.

1 - Desodorante Queen Helene:  Nos gusta utilizar desodorantes sin aluminio. Estos son bastante económicos, aunque hay que  comprarlos por Internet, en Vitacost o iHerb.
No son tan efectivos como los desodorantes tradicionales, pero claro, también son más sanos.

2 - Mascarilla tissú Holika Holika de Açai: Venía súper impregnada, tanto que me ha sobrado esencia como para 4 veces más. Cerré el sobrecito con una pinza y lo guardé en el frigorífico para conservarlo bien.

3 - Mascarilla nocturna de Laneige: Me ha durado bastante, ya que recomiendan usarla de 1 a 2 veces por semana. He ido alternando esta mascarilla con otros productos.
Lo cierto es que está muy bien. Es de esos productos coreanos que merece la pena probar, aunque sea sólo una vez.
De momento no repetiré, porque tengo en uso una de Narukö y tengo mascarillas de tissú también por gastar.
Podéis encontrarla en multitud de tiendas online, aunque yo la compré por Ebay.

4 - Mascarilla tissú de rosa de Innisfree: Me ha gustado mucho. Con razón es una de las mascarillas de este formato más populares. Si bien con otras marcas he notado frescor e hidratación, con ésta también he sentido un efecto tensor. Sobró también esencia para un par de días más.

5 - Esmalte base 'Nail Envy' de OPI (marox): Aunque todavía quedaba como la mitad del bote, se había espesado. Eso no es lo peor: las últimas veces que lo he usado, con distintos esmaltes, me ha sacado un montón de burbujas en las manicuras, así que sintiéndolo mucho, se ha ido directo a la basura.

6 - Bálsamo limpiador casero (marox): Fue un regalo de Marian. Aunque acababa de comprar uno coreano, decidí utilizar éste primero al no llevar conservantes. Lo cierto es que ha aguantado bien sin estropearse. La textura es bastante aceitosa y cuesta un poco repartirlo, pero ha cumplido su función. Como envase aprovechó el del bálsamo desmaquillante de TBS.

7 - Bálsamo labial Biocura (Aldi): Es una lástima que aquí no haya Aldi, porque tienen algunos productos muy apañados, como éstos bálsamos labiales. Vienen en un paquete de 3 y creo que no llega a 2€. Solemos aprovechar cuando estamos en nuestra tierra para acercarnos hasta Aldi y hacernos con algunos de sus productos.

Here we are again to show you our latest empties.

1 - Queen Helene deodorant: We like to use aluminium-free deodorants and these are quite affordable. The downside is that you need to order them online, from stores like Vitacost or iHerb.
They're not as effective as traditional deodorants, but since those are not as healthy I guess it's better this way.

2 - Holika Holika Açai Sheet Mask: This came super drenched in essence, to the point that I had leftover serum for 4 more applications. I used a clothes peg to close the pouch and kept it in the fridge to make sure it was good to use.

3 -  Laneige Sleeping Pack: This has lasted quite a long time, since the recommended use is once or twice a week. I used other things as well.
I honestly really enjoyed trying this. I'd say it's one of those K-beauty items you should try at least once.
I won't repurchase for now, as I'm currently using another one from Narukö and have several sheet masks to use too.
Available from countless online stores, I got mine off Ebay.

4  - Innisfree Rose Sheet Mask: I truly enjoyed this one. It's a bestselling sheet mask for good reason. Whereas with others I could feel my skin feeling fresh and moisturized, this one gave me a tightening effect too. There was enough leftover essence for two more applications.
 

5 - OPI 'Nail Envy' Basecoat (marox): Still half full, it had thickened out. The worst thing is that the last few times I used it, regardless of the polish I used on top, it created a gazillion tiny bubbles on that.
Needless to say, I had to throw it away.

6 - Homemade Cleansing Balm (marox): Marian made this for me, even though I had just bought a Korean one. Since hers did not have any preservatives, I decided to use that first. Truth be told, it has held up without going bad. It is a bit oily and harder to spread than store-bought ones, but it did the job.
The container was a recycled one from TBS's cleansing balm.

7 - Biocura lipbalm from Aldi: It sucks that there's no Aldi here, since they have a handful of skincare items worth trying and repurchasing, like these lipbalms. These come in a 3-count and are less than €2. We usually grab some stuff from Aldi whenever we are in our hometown.
