Hola, chicas:

Aquí venimos con una nueva reseña de los productos que hemos terminado últimamente.



1- Aceite desmaquillante "Gold Progress" de Deliplus: Nos ha encantado, así que siempre procuramos tener repuesto.
Aunque dice que está indicado para pieles secas, a nosotras nos ha ido bien; eso sí, lo aclaramos después con jabón u otro limpiador más adecuado para nuestro tipo de piel. Así matamos dos pájaros de un tiro y hacemos una doble limpieza.
Dos pulsaciones son suficientes para retirar el maquillaje.
Precio: poco más de 5€.



Os preguntaréis por qué lo usamos si no está indicado para nuestro tipo de piel. Pues bien, porque retira perfectamente todo el maquillaje, incluso el resistente al agua.
Nos os imagináis cómo retira las BB creams.

2- Manteca corporal "Aphrodisiac Smoothie" de Bubbly: Bueno, no sé si es afrodisiaco, pero la verdad es que nos encanta el olor, lo mucho que cunde y la sensación de hidratación que deja en la piel. El precio: 5€.

3- Gel limpiador con lima y pepino de Essence (línea My Skin).
Este sí es un limpiador más adecuado para nuestro tipo de piel, pero por sí sólo no retira bien el maquillaje, así que hemos estado usándolo después del que os hemos enseñado en el punto 1. La verdad es que hacen buena combinación, aunque por ahora, no la volveremos a comprar.

4- Crema hidratante con aloe vera de Deliplus (Marox).
La hemos usado las dos (Marox más que Marian), y la verdad es que está muy bien.
No deja una sensación grasa en la piel, aunque tampoco es una crema matificante, obviamente.
Marox la ha estado usando como crema de noche, y a la mañana siguiente sí ha notado la piel más descansada, aunque de momento, no repetirá. Precio: No llegó a 3€, creo.



5- Crema hidratante Inositol para primeras arrugas, de Yves Rocher (Marian).
Marian estuvo usando un tarro tras otro (o una recarga tras otra, que hay que cuidar del medio ambiente) de esta crema durante un tiempo (lo que quiere decir que le iba muy bien) hasta que sucumbió a los encantos de la cosmética asiática.

Esto ha sido todo por el momento.

Here we are again with a new review of the products we've ended up recently.

1- 'Gold Progress' make-up remover oil from Deliplus: We love it, so we always try to have another one as backup.
Although it's indicated for dry skin, we didn't have any problem using it; anyway, we always rinse it with soap or another facial cleanser more appropriate for our skin type and thus kill two birds in one stone with a double cleansing routine.
Two pumps are enough to cleanse your face off makeup.
You'll probably be wondering why we use it if it's not indicated for our skin type. Well, it perfectly removes all our make-up, even the waterproof one.
You can't imagine how well it removes BB creams.
Price: A little over €5.

2- 'Aphrodisiac Smoothie' body butter from Bubbly/Bodyline: I don't know if it's really aphrodisiac, but we truly love its scent, its high body, and the moisturizing feeling it leaves on the skin. Price: €5.



3- Cleansing gel with lime and cucumber from Essence (My Skin range).
This one really is a more suitable cleanser for our skin type, but it doesn't remove all the make-up just by itself; that's why we've been using it after the one we've just shown you on number 1.
Anyway, they make a good team together, though we won't be repurchasing for the time being.



4- Moisturizing cream with aloe vera from Deliplus (Marox).
We both have been using it (Marox has used it more than Marian), and the truth is that it's really good.
It doesn't leave a greasy feeling on the skin, although obviously it's not a mattifying cream.
Marox has been using it as a night cream, and the following morning, her skin feels like 'renewed'. She won't be repurchasing for now. Price: Less than €3, I think.

5- Inositol moisturizing cream for the first wrinkles, from Yves Rocher (Marian).

Marian was using jar after jar (or refill after refill, because we are environmentally conscious, you see) of this cream for quite a long time (which means this was really good for her), until she fell head over heels in love with Asian cosmetics.

Compras varias acumuladas / Sundry haul

Lo hemos vuelto a hacer. No hemos podido resistirnos a comprar alguna cosilla últimamente.

1- Base peel-off de Essence y brillo de la EL 'Rebels' (liquidación):
En una visitilla a Bustillo, me hice con dos de estas bases (la otra fue un detallito para mi madre) y ojeando la cesta de liquidación ví este brillo de labios. Me gustó que fuera un tono ponible y más pigmentado de lo que suelen serlo los brillos de esta marca.

2 - Perfumes de equivalencia "La botica de los perfumes": Marox se compró el de Lolita Lempicka (que estaba mucho mejor logrado que el de Saphir) y Marian el de Aire de Loewe, que le gusta mucho.
Fuimos a la tienda el mismo día que la inauguraban (sin saberlo, fue casualidad). No creáis que somos tan famosas en el mundo bloguero como para que nos inviten a este tipo de eventos, jaja. Que conste que no nos importa en absoluto.
Junto con nuestra compra, nos regalaron 2 bolígrafos con perfumador incorporado. Son monísimos.

Esto ha sido todo por el momento. No es mucho, lo sabemos, pero ya queríamos publicar esta entrada, que lleva ya un tiempo en borrador.

We've done it again. We couldn't help ourselves and got a few things lately.

1- Peel-off basecoat from Essence and (discontinued & discounted) lipgloss from the 'Rebels' LE: On a recent visit to Bustillo, the local beauty supplies store I got two of these basecoats (the other one was a small gift for our mum) and after a quick look at the basket of discounted products, I also grabbed this lipgloss. I was drawn by the wearable shade as well as the fact that this is more pigmented than your regular Essence lipgloss.

2 - Imitation perfumes from 'La botica de los perfumes': Marox got herself the Lolita Lempicka one (which was a lot more true to the original than the Saphir version) and Marian the 'Aire de Loewe' that she likes so much.
We visited the store the same day they were opening (we had no idea, it was by chance). Don't think we are so famous in the blogger community to be invited to events, lol. Not that we mind that, anyway.
Together with our purchase, we were given these two ballpoint pens with perfume sprinkler. They're supercute.

This is all for now. It's not a big haul, we know that, but we wanted to publish this post we've had on queue for quite a long time.

Primer pedido a iHerb - First iHerb order

Hola:

Con motivo de la fiebre consumista pre-navideña (ofertas "Black Friday") me animé a hacer un pedido sorpresa a la tienda-herbolario estadounidense iHerb. Digo "sorpresa" porque no le dije nada a Marian, así que no tenía ni idea de qué se encontraría cuando abriéramos la caja.
Dicho esto, pedí lo siguiente pensando tanto en ella como en mí.

1. Champú fortalecedor del cabello con biotina, de Avalon Organics.
Para no tentar a la suerte, preferí esta vez usar un champú destinado a humanos, así que me decidí por éste que veis.
Además, Marian ha leído una reseña que le deja en muy buen lugar, así que creo que no me va a decepcionar. Es uno de los productos más vendidos de la tienda.



2. Biotina en cápsulas.
Para prevenir la caída del cabello atacando por todos los frentes. Puesto que la biotina no se absorbe por vía tópica, habrá que ayudar a nuestro cabello tomándola por vía oral.




3. Champú para psoriasis de Home Health.
Seguimos con los champús. No sé si he comentado alguna vez en el blog (creo que sí) que tengo psoriasis en el cuero cabelludo, que me produce muchos picores y tal descamación que parece que tengo caspa.
El principio activo de este champú es el ácido salicílico, y además está enriquecido con aceite de zanahoria, de jojoba, aloe vera, alantoína y extractos de hierbas.
Promete aliviar el picor, la rojez y la irritación que se asocian con la psoriasis y la dermatitis seborreica.



4. Cápsulas de propóleo.
Alguna vez le había oído decir a Marian que el propóleo es muy bueno para prevenir y combatir infecciones: por ejemplo, esos catarros que nos atacan en invierno.
Es una sustancia fabricada por las abejas y que utilizan para proteger su colmena de las bacterias y hongos.
Entre otras, se le reconocen propiedades antisépticas, antibióticas, inmunoestimulantes, antiinflamatorias..., incluso también cicatrizantes y epitelizantes (de hecho, también tiene usos en Dermatología).
Por supuesto, este producto no debe ser utilizado en personas con alergia a las abejas o los productos fabricados por éstas, pero no es nuestro caso.

5. Harina de algarroba.
Es una alternativa saludable al cacao, más baja en calorías y con menos grasas. Por eso se utiliza mucho en alimentos dietéticos.
Tiene azúcares naturales, por lo que no es necesario añadir azúcar.
El chocolate preparado con esta harina no tiene teobromina, un excitante que contiene el cacao.
Además, tiene propiedades antidiarreicas. El fruto del algarrobo, por el contrario, tiene efecto laxante, por su contenido en mucílago.

Hasta aquí, el pedido.
Además, iHerb incluyó como regalo un par de muestras: una de infusión de rooibos con vainilla y cítricos, y la otra muestra de un suplemento de vitamina C.
No hemos probado ninguna de las dos.

Using the Black Friday offers as an excuse, I decided to place a surprise order at iHerb, the US-based natural products online store. Surprise because I didn't say a word to Marian, so she had no idea what she'd find when we opened the box.
Having said that, I ordered the following with both her and myself in mind.

1. Biotin-enriched fortifying shampoo from Avalon Organics.
This time around, we decided to use a shampoo specifically made for humans and this is the one I chose.
Besides, Marian recently read a review praising this product to the skies, so I doubt we'll be disappointed. It's one of the store's best selling products.

2. Biotin in capsules.
To prevent hairloss to attack it on all of the fronts. Due to the fact that biotin doesn't absorb topically, we will have to help our hair taking it oral way.



3. Shampoo indicated for psoriasis from Home Health.
We keep on talking about shampoo. I don't know if I ever told you in this blog (I think I've done) that I suffer from psoriasis in my scalp, which produces me itching and so much scaling that it seems I have dandruff.
The active substance of this shampoo is salicilic acid, and it's also enriched with carrot oil, jojoba oil, aloe vera, allantoin and herbal extracts.
It promises to relieve all the itching, redness and irritation associated with psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis.

4. Propolis in capsules.
I once heard Marian saying that propolis was very good to prevent and fight infections: for example, those common colds we often suffer from in winter.
It's a substance made by bees and used for protection of the beehives from bacteria and fungus.
It's recognised as having many properties, such as antiseptic, antibiotic, immunostimulan, anti-inflammatory..., even healing properties as well (in fact, it's also used in Dermatology).
Of course, this product can't be used by people with any allergies to bees of the products made by them, but this is not the case.



5. Carob powder.
It's a healthier, low-calorie and low fat alternative to cocoa. That's why it's used in diet food.
It has natural sugar, so there's no need to add sugar.
Chocolate made with this powder doesn't have theobromine, an stimulating substance in cocoa.
Besides, it has antidiarrheal properties. However, the carob fruit, has a laxative effect, due to its content in mucilage.



Well, these have been all the items we ordered.
Besides, iHerb also included as a gift a pair of samples: a rooibos with vanille and citrus fruit tea bag for infusion, and a sample of a vitamin C supplement.
We haven't tried yet any of these.

"En construcción" - 'Under construction'.

No, no es que estemos haciendo modificaciones en el blog.
En alguna de nuestras últimas entradas os pedimos disculpas por nuestras largas ausencias, pero es que en estas últimas semanas estamos muy liadas, con pinturas de casas (la mía y la nueva de mis padres), cambio de muebles en ambas, mudanzas y demás.
Tengo la casa que parece "un hospital robado". Marox dice que suba fotos de cómo la tenemos ahora, pero a eso sí que me niego, jeje.

Bueno, del antes no subo fotos, pero de mi salón con sus nuevos muebles sí subiré, (reconoceréis alguna cosa que os enseñamos en el blog), cuando ya lo tenga todo colocadito.

No, we're not changing things in our blog.
Some posts ago, we apologized for our absence lately, but we've been (and still are) very busy these past weeks, painting our houses -not ourselves- (mine and our parent's new flat), changing furniture in both, move and so on.
My apartment is a complete mess right now. Marox suggested me about uploading pictures of how it looks now, but I refuse to do it, lol.

Well, I'm not uploading any pics of 'before', but I'll upload pics of my living-room with its new furniture (you'll probably recognize some things we've shown you in this blog), when I put everything in its place.

Until then, we'll try to post, but we can't promise anything. I hope you understand.

UDLS/NOTW: KIKO #399 (holográfico/holographic).

Aquí vengo con mi última manicura hasta ahora.
Hace poco os enseñamos nuestras últimas compras en KIKO, entre las que se encontraba este esmalte holográfico en color champán, que me encantó. Podría decirse que fue amor a primera vista.

Primer día: Aplico una capa generosa del Fix Base Coat de GOSH, y después, dos capas finas de este precioso esmalte, y Seche Vite encima, como siempre.

Segundo día: pequeños desconchones en la mano derecha han hecho su aparición.

Tercer día: fotos. Decido hacerlas antes de que mi manicura se arruine por completo.
Podéis ver el aspecto de esta manicura en la mano derecha. Los que fueran pequeños desconchones se han hecho más grandes.

I'm back to show you my latest mani so far.
Not so long ago, we showed you our latest haul at KIKO. Among our goodies, there was this holographic nail polish in a champagne shade, which I loved. I could say it was love at first sight.

First day: I apply a generous coat of the Fix Base Coat from GOSH, and after that, two thin coats of this gorgeous polish, and Seche Vite on top, as usual.

Second day: very small chippings on the right hand are making their appearance.

Third day: pics. I decided to take them before my mani was completely ruined.
You can see how the mani looks on my right hand. Those small chippings became bigger.



Fourth day: I remove the polish, and then... my nails are tinted in a horrible orange colour. This had never happened to me before. 
I always use base coat just to avoid this. 

After the initial shock, I've left my nails 'resting' for a few days, and though that orange colour hasn't completely disappeared, now it's not that noticeable.

Have you ever had such a weird experience like this? 
  

Cuarto día: me quito el esmalte, y entonces... mis uñas se han teñido de un horroroso color naranja. Esto no me había pasado nunca.
Siempre uso base para evitar precisamente esto.

Después del susto inicial, he dejado "descansar" mis uñas unos cuantos días, y el color naranja, aunque no ha desaparecido del todo, es menos evidente.

Y vosotras, ¿habéis tenido alguna extraña experiencia de este tipo?

Primer pedido a Abbamart - First Abbamart order.

Hola de nuevo, chicas:

Tenemos el blog un poco abandonado, con unas cuantas entradas en borrador, así que vamos a ver si poco a poco lo actualizamos y vamos publicando cosas.

Os presentamos ahora el pedido que hizo Marox a Abbamart hace ahora un par de meses. (¿Entendéis ahora lo que digo en el primer párrafo?).

Algunos de los pinceles de maquillaje de Marox (y alguno de Marian) estaban ya para pocos trotes, así que pidió estos que vais a ver.



Son 2 pinceles de pelo de cabra para aplicar sombra, otros dos para difuminar (uno de cada para cada una), y un peine doble para cejas y pestañas para Marian, que sustituirá al de Marionnaud, que os enseñó recientemente.

Ya que hacíamos la sesión de fotos de estos pinceles para el blog, se nos ocurrió comparar éstos con el de difuminar sombras de Deliplus (uno de los que Marox tiene ya tan maltrecho).

En cuanto a longitud del mango, no hay mucho que comentar. Como veis en la foto, el mango del de Deliplus es más largo.



Y en cuanto a longitud del pelo, el de aplicar sombra de Abbamart tiene la misma longitud que el de difuminar sombra de Deliplus.
Y comparando éste último con su homólogo de Abbamart..., en fin, sobran las palabras.

Dejando a un lado estas pequeñas diferencias sin importancia, hemos de decir que son pinceles que se manejan muy bien, y su pelo es extrasuave.

En cuanto al precio, no puede ser mejor.
Ninguna de estas brochas superó los 3 dólares. También es cierto que Marox aprovechó un descuento por el Black Friday, en el que además de una rebajilla en el precio de las brochas, también se ahorró los gastos de envío.
Así que hemos decidido que cuando tengamos que renovar alguno más de nuestros pinceles, Abbamart será un sitio a tener muy en cuenta.

The blog is a bit unattended lately, with some posts on queue, waiting to be published, so we hope to update it little by little and post a few entries.

We're showing you now the stuff Marox ordered from Abbamart two months ago (Do you understand now what I meant in the first paragraph?)

Some of Marox's (and also Marian's) makeup brushes were ready for the glue factory, so she ordered these ones you're about to see.

They are two white goat eyeshadow brushes and two fluffy blending brushes (one for each of us), and a lash and brow comb for Marian, to replace the Marionnaud one she showed you recently.

While making the photo shooting of these brushes for the blog, we came up with the idea of comparing them with the blending brush from Deliplus (one of Marox's most beaten-up brushes).

Talking about the length of the handle, there's not much to comment. As you see in the pic, the handle of the Deliplus brush is longer.

As for the bristle length, the eyeshadow brush from Abbamart is the same length as the blending brush from Deliplus.
And comparing this one with its counterpart from Abbamart..., well, no more words. Let the pictures do the talking.




Setting aside these tiny differences with little importance, we must say that these brushes are very handy, and their bristles are extrasoft.

And their price couldn't be better.
None of these brushes cost more than $3.
But to be honest, I must say that Marox seized a special offer for the Black Friday, in which she could also spare the shipping costs, besides the discount the brushes already had for the occasion.
So we've decided to take a look at Abbamart's brush catalogue when we have to replace any more of our brushes.
