Hola, chicas:

Aquí venimos de nuevo a enseñaros los productos que hemos terminado últimamente, y nuestra opinión sobre ellos.

1- Prebase de ojos de Cargo (Marian):
La he utilizado muy poco, porque se ha secado enseguida. Pero tampoco me llevo ningún disgusto, porque no me gustaba demasiado.
Prefiero un millón de veces mi prebase de Rival de Loop.



2 - Manteca de amapola 'Smoky Poppy' de TBS (marox): Como siempre, la compré en promoción, porque sin ella, las mantecas de esta marca se me hacen un poco caras. Tiene un olor no apto para todos los gustos. Al principio se hace algo fuerte, con el tiempo no lo notas tanto. Hay gente que dice que recuerda a las colonias que usaban nuestras abuelas.

3 - Muestra crema 'Snail + EGF Repairing Cream' de Secret Key (marox): Me vino con algún pedido de Corea y la tenía ahí olvidada.
Obviamente un sobrecito no da para mucho. No está mal, pero me resulta algo pesada y no me la compraría.



4- Desodorante en stick sin aluminio de Nature's Gate (Marian).
Me lo regaló mi hermana en uno de sus pedidos a IHerb.
En verano, si sudo mucho o durante ciertos días al mes me abandona un poco, pero para el resto del año me protege adecuadamente del mal olor.
Ahora estoy usando uno de Queen Helene, que me está gustando mucho.

5- Loción facial perfeccionadora de Yves Rocher (Marian).
Fue un producto que me regalaron con una compra. Lo utilizaba como broche final a mi rutina de limpieza, aunque no siempre. Reconozco que con este producto no he sido muy constante, que digamos.
Aunque en la foto veis el bote vacío, aún no se había terminado. Pero llevaba mucho tiempo abierto y empezaba a tener una textura un poco pegajosa, así que lo he tirado.
Eso sí, reutilizaré el envase para alguno de mis inventos.
Marox lo ha usado esporádicamente y le pareció agradable de usar. 




6- Body spray de lavanda y miel de Bath&Body Works (Marian).
Lo he estado utilizando después de la ducha, y la verdad es que deja un olor riquísimo.
Ya sabéis que este tipo de productos me encantan.
También reutilizaré el envase para algún invento que haga.
Lo compramos en el aeropuerto de Arlanda, en Estocolmo en una tienda de la marca. 

Bueno, pues estos son todos nuestros terminados por ahora.

Here we are again with a new review of the stuff we've used up recently.

1- Eyeshadow base from Cargo (Marian).
I haven't used it that long, because it dried at once. Not that I'm sad, because I didn't like it that much anyway.
I'd take my beloved eyeshadow base from Rival de Loop any day.


2- 'Smoky Poppy' body butter from The Body Shop (Marox). As usual, I bought this at a discounted price, as TBS products are a bit overpriced at their usual RRP. The scent is not for everyone. At first it feels more overpowering yet with time you get used to it. Some people claim it smells like an old lady's perfume, like the one your granny would wear.




3 - Secret Key 'Snail + EGF Repairing Cream' sample (marox): Got this from a Korean Haul and had pretty much forgotten about it. Needless to say, a single sachet is not enough to form a well-informed opinion, but although it's an OK product, I don't feel compelled to buy it.

4- Aluminium free stick deodorant from Nature's Gate (Marian).
It was a gift from Marox, which she ordered from IHerb.
In the summertime, if I sweat a lot or during those days of the month, it's a bit uneffective.
But the rest of the year it protects me properly from unwanted bad odour.
I'm now using one from Queen Helene, which I like very much.




5- Perfectioning face lotion from Yves Rocher (Marian).
It was a gift with purchase.
I used it as the final step of my cleansing routine, but I didn't use it every day.
I must say that I haven't been using it on a daily basis.
Although you can see the empty bottle in the pic, I hadn't used it up yet.
I opened it a long time ago and the texture became a little sticky, so I threw it away.
But I'm reusing the bottle for future homemade projects.
My sister used this occasionally and found it nice to use.

6- Lavender and honey body mist from Bath&Body Works (Marian).
I've been using it after the shower, and it leaves a lovely scent.
You already know that I love this kind of stuff.
I'll be reusing the bottle as well.
I bought this at Arlanda airport in Stockholm, at a dedicated store. 

Well, these were our 'empties' so far.

Aquí estamos para contaros nuestra primera impresión acerca de un producto capilar que hemos estado probando. Se trata del tratamiento intensivo de Aussie.
Contiene extracto de menta balsámica australiana, que promete suavizar las puntas abiertas y reparar el cabello dañado, devolviéndole su suavidad e hidratación en sólo 3 minutos.
La aplicación es muy agradable, ya que no da sensación grasa, y deja el pelo suave y fácil de desenredar; y eso, en nuestras frondosas cabelleras rizadas supone muchos puntos a su favor.

Here we are, this time to tell you our first impressions about a hair care product we've been trying. It's the intensive treatment from Aussie.
It contains Australian soothing mint extract, that claims to soften hair ends and repairs damaged hair, giving its softness and moisture back in just 3 minutes.
The application is very pleasant, as it doesn't give a greasy feeling, and leaves your hair soft and easy to untangle; and this, on our lush curly hair mane gives it many brownie points.

En esta página podéis pedir una muestra gratuita (que fue lo que hicimos nosotras), y también consultar los puntos de venta, lo que nos ha resultado muy útil, porque acabaremos comprándolo algún día.
Evidentemente, al tratarse de una muestra (generosa), nuestra opinión se basa en una breve experiencia con este producto. Nos ha dado para usarla dos veces cada una.
Hemos podido comprobar que efectivamente lo tenían en uno de los puntos de venta de la ciudad, una perfumería IF.

In this web you can ask for a free sample (which is what we did), and also check the sale points, which has been very useful for us, because we'll be getting it one day.
Being as it is a sample -generous btw-, our opinion is merely based on a brief experience with the above mentioned product. We could use it twice each.
We can confirm it was indeed available on the shelves at one of the retailers listed, one of the local IF perfumeries/drugstores.

Receta / recipe: Bizcocho de zanahoria - Carrot cake.

Hola, chicas:

Definitivamente me vais a declarar "persona non grata" por compartir con vosotras otra receta dulce.
Pero como os dije la última vez, podéis hacer esta receta cuando queráis.

Ingredientes.

*3 zanahorias grandes, peladas.
*3 huevos.
*130 gr de aceite de girasol.
*230 gr de azúcar pulverizada.
*220 gr de harina de trigo.
*1 cucharada sopera de levadura en polvo.

Preparación con Thermomix.

Pulverizar el azúcar 10 segundos a velocidad 7 y reservar.
Poner las zanahorias en el vaso y triturar 3 segundos a velocidad 6.
Bajar los restos y triturar otros 3 segundos a la misma velocidad.
Añadir los huevos y el aceite y programamos 5 minutos, 37ºC, velocidad 3.
Agregar la harina, el azúcar y la levadura en polvo y programar 15 segundos, velocidad 5.

Verter la mezcla en un molde previamente untado con mantequilla y harina.
Introducir en el horno a 180ºC durante 30 minutos, más o menos.

Os puedo asegurar que está riquísimo.

Ahora que pronto llegará el buen tiempo, no me apetecerá tanto poner el horno, así que podéis estar tranquilas, que os dejaré seguir con la operación bikini.

I'm definitely not getting any points with you, with my bringing you sweet recipes day in, day out.
But like I said last time, feel free to choose another time rather than late spring to make this.

Ingredients

* 3 large carrots, peeled
* 3 eggs
* 130 gr sunflower seed oil
* 230 gr icing sugar
* 220 wheat flour
* 1 tbsp baking powder

Preparation in Thermomix/Bimby.

Put the sugar in the bowl and grind it on Speed 7. Set aside.
Put the carrots in the Thermomix bowl and blend for 3 seconds on Speed 6.
Scrape the remains off the bowl with a spatula. Blend for another 3 seconds on Speed 6.
Add in the eggs, the oil and set 5 minutes, 37ºC, Speed 3.
Add the flour, sugar and baking powder and blend for 15 seconds, Speed 5.




Pour the batter into a greased mold sprinkled with flour.
Bake in the oven at 180ºC for about 30 mins. or until golden.

It's yummy, I swear!

Now that the good weather is coming, I won't use the oven so often, so you can keep on with your bikini challenge slimming plan.

Aquí os traemos una reseña de los productos que hemos terminado últimamente.

1 - Manteca desmaquillante de manzanilla de TBS (Marox): La compré en Estocolmo y me costó al cambio casi 20€. A veces podéis encontrar alguna promoción para toda la tienda, de hasta un 40% de descuento, así que si os apetece probarla pero no queréis pagar tanto, os recomiendo suscribiros a la newsletter para estar al tanto de las promociones.

2 - Missha Tornado 2-in-1 Ampoule Mask (Marox): La compré por Ebay. Existe en tres variedades diferentes. Me ha gustado, pero me apetecía probar otra diferente.

3- Pasta de dientes "Abuelita Ceiba" (Marian):
Al abrir el tarro, huele un montón a clavo y a menta, pero no tiene ese sabor tan fuerte a menta de las pastas de dientes comerciales.
Deja una gran sensación de limpieza en los dientes. El único pero es que después de enjuagarme la boca noto los granitos de la arcilla blanca que lleva en su composición.




4- BB Cream Snail Matrix de Scinic (Marian):
He tardado bastante en terminarla, porque he tenido alguna temporada en la que no me he maquillado. Ahora que llega el buen tiempo, me quedaba un poco clara, así que creo que se ha terminado en el momento apropiado.
Ahora estoy utilizando el maquillaje mineral compacto de Sephora, que se ajusta más a mi tono de piel.

5- Barra de labios de Essence, en el tono #02 (Marian):
Hace muuucho tiempo que la compré. Todavía queda un poquito y podría apurarla más, pero ya empieza a oler a rancio y prefiero tirarla.
Esta barra de labios tiene más purpurina que color. Ahora Essence ha cambiado a mejor.












Bien, estos han sido nuestros terminados hasta ahora.

1 - TBS Camomile Cleansing Butter (Marox):
I bought it in Stockholm and I paid about €20 for it. Sometimes you can find offers for all the items sold at the store, of up to 40% off. So if you'd like to try this but you would rather not pay the regular price, I recommend you to subscribe to their newsletter to stay tuned for all their promotions.

2 - Missha Tornado 2-in-1 Ampule Mask (Marox): I bought it off Ebay. It's available in three different ranges. I liked it, but felt like trying something else. 

3- 'Abuelita Ceiba' toothpaste (Marian).
When I open the jar, it has a strong clove and peppermint scent, but it doesn't have that strong peppermint taste of store-bought toothpastes.
It leaves my teeth really clean.
The only con is that after rinsing my mouth, I notice the small white clay particles in its formula.

4- Snail Matrix BB Cream from Scinic (Marian).
It took me quite a long time to use it up, because I haven't worn make-up for some time.
Now that summer is near, the shade is too light for me, so I think I used it up at the right time.
I'm currently using the compact mineral foundation from Sephora, which matches my skintone better.




5- Lipstick from Essence, in the shade #02 (Marian).
It's been suuuch a long time since I bought it.
There's still a bit left and maybe I could stretch it more, but it smells rancid already and I'd rather toss it.
This lipstick gives more glitter than colour.
Essence now makes better lipsticks than this.

Well, these have been our 'empties' so far.

Mis Regalos de cumpleaños / My birthday presents

Hola chicas

Hoy me gustaría enseñaros los regalos que recibí y alguno que compré yo con motivo de mi cumpleaños, que celebré a finales de abril.

1- Zapatos de tacón, tienda local: Mis padres me regalaron estos zapatos de tacón alto para que de vez en cuando me arregle algo más. En el día a día tiro de prendas y calzado cómodo. Por si en la foto no se aprecia bien, son marrones.

2- Pantalón de Custo: En marzo hubo en Zamora una feria del stock, tipo Outlet. En uno de los puestos tenían muchas prendas de marcas como Guess, Desigual o Custo. Estos pantalones se quedaban a 20€. Vamos, un regalo.

En la misma feria, en otro puesto, me cogí esta camiseta de Desigual, por 15€. Es de la talla S y mi madre me tuvo que arreglar un poco la parte de abajo. Le regalé otra a nuestra madre y a Marian.

3-  Abrigo corto de piel: Creo que es de vaca, pero no lo sé seguro. Lo compraron en la peletería de unos amigos, que cerró. No pesa nada, algo de agradecer en cualquier prenda de abrigo.  Tiene un acabado como envejecido muy bonito.

Y ahora los regalos de Marian.

4 -  Reproductor mp3 de marca SelecLine (Alcampo): El reproductor mp3 que compré en Ebay hace unos meses no me ha durado nada, así que le sugerí a Marian que uno nuevo no me vendría mal. No soy partidaria de gastar mucho en estos cacharritos, puesto que los uso una o dos veces por semana.
Los auriculares son de un teléfono Nokia. 

5 - Soporte refrigerado para portátil: Mi portátil en verano se calienta hasta tal punto tras un par de horas de uso que se apaga sólo. Me hablaron de estas bases refrigeradas y Marian se ofreció a regalármela. Me gustaron más las que tenían en Amazon que las de Mediamarkt. Es de la marca Aukey, que ya conozco del altavoz externo que uso para clase. Estoy muy contenta con él, no hace nada de ruido y se nota más fresco el equipo.
Lo suelen tener como oferta flash, y aunque no es un producto caro, os podéis ahorrar unos eurillos. Por cierto, me acabo de pedir otra. 

Y como autorregalo de última hora, unas semanas después me pillé el último disco de Per Gessle, así como la caja de 10 discos 'Per Gessle Archives', que en CDON estaba tirada de precio.  Para que os hagáis una idea, en CDON la pillé a 36,95€ y en Amazon la tenían a... 149,49€. El envío son 4.95€ por pedido.
Le tenía echado el ojo desde hace tiempo, que costaba unos 100 euros cuando salió, pero obviamente el precio me echaba para atrás. Además de los 10 cds y el vinilo, tiene también un libro con fotos y comentarios de Per y Mats MP Persson.
Como véis, el disco viene además firmado. La caja contiene un vinilo, de ahí el tamaño.
El disco de Per se grabó en Nashville y tiene el estilo intimista de anteriores trabajos en sueco como 'Scener' o 'Mazarin', mi favorito.
No tiene nada que ver con lo que saca en inglés.

Today I'd like to show you the presents I got and also bought myself for my birthday, late in April.


1 - High heels, local shoe shop: My parents bought me these heels. My mum wants me to dress up for work a bit more, though my go-to shoes every day are really comfy ones. In case the picture colours are all wrong, they're brown.

2 - Custo BCN pants: There was an outlet event in town back in March. One of the stores had lots of designer brands like Guess, Desigual or Custo. These pants were marked down to just €20, a total steal.

At the same event, I got this Desigual Tee for just €15. It's a size S, so my mum had to adjust the bottom part a bit. I gave both my mum and Marian one too.

3- Short leather coat: I think it's calf leather or something. They got it from a friend's fur shop that had closed down a while ago. It's very lightweight, which is certainly an upside when it comes to winter coats. It has this distressed look to it that looks really nice.

And now, onto the presents I got from Marian.

4 - Mp3 player from SelecLine (Alcampo's house brand): The one I bought on Ebay a few months ago stopped working recently and I suggested Marian she could get me a new one. I'm not one to spend much on these devices, as I only use them a couple of times a week.  The earphones pictured are from an old Nokia phone.

5 - Laptop Cooling Pad: My laptop gets so hot in the summer after barely two hours of use that it shuts off on its own. I was advised to try these pads and Marian offered to be the one to get it for me. I liked the ones available at Amazon better than those at Mediamarkt., though. I wan't new to the brand Aukey, as it's the same manufacturer of my external bluetooth speaker that I use in class.
I'm very pleased with it. It is really quiet and can tell my laptop feels cooler when in use. 
It is a returning daily offer at Amazon, so check those deals out if you want to save a few euros. Not that it is too expensive anyway. 

And a last-minute gift-to-self, Per Gessle's latest Swedish solo album, as well as the PG Archives 10-cd box that was a total steal at CDON.  I paid €36.95 at CDON while this sold for a whopping €149.49 at AmazonSpain. Shipping is €4.95 per order.

I've had my eye on this for a while. It was about €100 when it first came out and the price was the only thing putting me off snatching it without a backward glance. Not this time. Besides the 10 cds and vinyl, it also contains a book with photographs and comments from Per and Mats MP Persson.
As you can see in the pic, Per's solo album is signed. The box contains a vinyl, which explains the size. Per's latest Swedish solo album was recorded in Nashville and has that intimate vibe his solo work in Swedish has in spades. Nothing to do with his releases in English.

Probando StriVectin SD - Testing StriVectin SD.

Gracias al sorteo que ganó marox en DelicateHummingbird hemos podido probar un kit de minitallas de productos antiedad de StriVectin.
El kit consta de tres productos: un exfoliante retexturizante que contiene 22ml, una crema concentrada antiarrugas y estrías también de 22ml y un concentrado antiarrugas para los ojos de 7ml.

Thanks to the giveaway hosted by Delicate Hummingbird that marox won, we've had the chance to try out this anti-aging kit from StriVectin.
The lot consists of three products: a Retexturizing Scrub containing 22ml/0.75 oz, a concentrate for Stretch Marks and Wrinkles also containing 22ml/0.75 oz and an Eye Concentrate for wrinkles containing 7ml/0.25 oz.
In Spain, StriVectin products are sold exclusively at Sephora.

A continuación, os contamos un poco más en detalle nuestras impresiones sobre cada uno de ellos.
Up next, a more detailed opinion on each of these products.

1- Crema concentrada antiarrugas StriVectin SD: Ha sido el primer producto del kit StriVectin que hemos terminado. Evidentemente, tras un par de semanas utilizándola no podemos esperar milagros, pero tampoco nos ha impresionado especialmente. Deja la piel hidratada, al igual que otras cremas de menor precio. La hemos utilizado como crema de noche. Tiene un ligero efecto mentolado en la piel, que no molesta ni perdura en exceso en la piel. El tamaño venta es bastante generoso, yo diría 150ml y creo que cuesta 49€ en Sephora.

1- Concentrate for stretch marks and wrinkles Strivectin SD: It's been the first product in the StriVectin set we've used up. After only a couple of weeks of use, you cannot obviously expect any miracles in your complexion, but we're not very impressed by it all the same. It does moisturize your skin, like many other cheaper creams will do. We've been using it as a night cream. It does have a slight mint effect that you can feel on your skin, but it's not overpowering or feels uncomfortable. Full-sized product comes in a quite generous tube, I think it contains 150ml and costs 49 EUR at Sephora.
2- Concentrado antiarrugas para el contorno de ojos: de fácil aplicación, se desliza perfectamente sobre la piel (muy importante cuando se trata de la piel del contorno de los ojos), dejando un acabado "jugoso". Tiene un ligero efecto refrescante, que a ninguna de las dos nos ha molestado en absoluto, aunque se nota más que en el producto anterior. Además, se pasa enseguida.
En cuanto al efecto antiarrugas..., ninguna de las dos tenemos arrugas en esa zona. De todos modos, pensamos que lo de "antiarrugas" se refiere a que cuida la piel de la zona para evitar que aparezcan (o para retardar su aparición).
La cantidad que trae el tamaño de prueba (7 ml) da para bastantes aplicaciones. Aún no hemos terminado el envase, así que tendremos contorno de ojos para rato.

2- Eye concentrate for wrinkles: it's easy to apply, it glides perfectly over the skin (very important issue when we talk about the delicate skin on the eye area), leaving a 'juicy' finish. It has a slight refreshing effect, which didn't bother us at all though it was more noticeable than on the previous product. Besides, this effect disappears in a few minutes.
And about the antiwrinkle effect..., none of us have any wrinkles on that area. Anyway, we think that 'antiwrinkle' means that cares of the skin of that area to prevent their appearance (or delay it).
The amount of this mini size (7 ml) is generous enough to enable plenty of applications. We haven't finished it yet, so we will be able to use this eye contour cream for quite a long time.3- Exfoliante retexturizante: Tiene los gránulos ni muy finos como para no notar el efecto, ni muy gruesos que irriten la piel. Como conclusión, exfolia bien la piel del rostro sin irritarla. Obviamente, hay que tener mucho cuidado de no aplicar esta crema en el contorno de los ojos.
Nos ha gustado mucho a las dos, aunque Marian dice que si tiene que elegir, prefiere su exfoliante de Dr. Brandt, que os enseñó *aquí*.

3- Retexturizing scrub: its particles are not so small that you can't notice the effect, but not so big that they can irritate the skin. To sum up, it exfoliates the facial skin without irritating it.
Obviously, you must be very careful not to apply this cream on the eye contour.
We both like it, although Marian says that if she has to choose, she will prefer her exfoliating face cream from Dr. Brandt, which she showed you *here*.

Piratas de Decathlon - Decathlon hackers.

Hola de nuevo:

Cuando os hablé de la overlock que compré recientemente en Lidl, os dije que había comprado en Decathlon una bolsa de deporte que me servía perfectamente para guardarla.

Aunque seguramente no estaré transportando la overlock de un lado para otro, sí quiero tenerla protegida, por eso decidí tunear la bolsa, haciéndole un acolchado.

When I told you about the overlock machine I recently bought at Lidl, I told you that I had bought a sports bag at Decathlon, which was OK to carry it.

Though I surely won't be carrying the overlock back and forth, I would like to keep it well protected; that's why I decided to hack the bag, making a cushioning.

Ahora os preguntaréis por qué he titulado esta entrada "Piratas de Decathlon". Pues bien, porque el producto que he comprado para hacer el acolchado también es de Decathlon.

Se trata de *esta* colchoneta de espuma para aerobic, que mide 140x50 cm. Me costó 2,75 €.

Now you'll probably be wondering why I titled this post 'Decathlon Hackers'. Well, I got the product I used for padding the inside at Decathlon. It's *this* fitness mat, measuring 140x50 cm. I paid 2.75 EUR for it, but price in the UK is £2.99.

Tomé las medidas oportunas, corté la espuma y la forré con una tela para este fin que compré en el mercadillo (o como lo solemos llamar, "el Corte Inglés de los domingos").

Este tuneo ha sido la forma de estrenar la overlock, para rematar los bordes de la tela.

I took all the measurements, cut the mat to size and lined it with a piece of fabric I bought for this purpose at the street market (or as we use to call it, 'the Sunday Department Store').

This hack has been the best way to use the overlock for the first time, to overcast the edges of the fabric.

Una vez metido el acolchado dentro de la bolsa, pruebo a meter la máquina, y queda perfectamente protegida. ¡Misión cumplida!

Once the cushioning is placed in the bag, I try to put the machine in it, and it's perfectly protected. Mission accomplished!
