Hola, chicas:
Hoy le toca el turno a la siguiente entrega (y la última) de nuestra visita a la ciudad de Varsovia. Podéis leer la *primera*, *segunda* y *tercera* parte en los enlaces correspondientes.
Día 4.
Empezamos el que será nuestro último día completo en la ciudad.
Como el día anterior nos fue tan bien con Google Maps, elegimos la misma aplicación para planificar nuestras visitas.
Visitamos el Palacio Wilanow, adonde llegamos en autobús, y después caminamos unos minutos hasta llegar a la entrada del palacio. En esta ocasión sí que estaba mejor indicado que otras atracciones turísticas.
Aquí sí que pudimos visitar el interior del palacio, y la verdad es que no nos decepcionó en absoluto.
Algo que nos pareció curioso fue que de algunos cuadros expuestos en los distintos salones del palacio, había réplicas en miniatura, transparentes y en relieve, para que las personas ciegas puedan tocarlos y percibir cómo es el cuadro en cuestión.
Tras visitar el palacio, estuvimos dando un paseo por los jardines.
Las composiciones florales eran preciosas y muy cuidadas.
Entre la visita al palacio y el paseo por los jardines, nos llegó la hora de comer.
Así que volvimos en autobús hasta nuestra siguiente parada.
Comimos en un restaurante con temática egipcia (muy bien, por cierto, aunque las raciones eran exageradamente grandes).
Después de comer, fuimos caminando hacia el Museo Chopin.
No tardaréis mucho en verlo, pues no es muy grande.
Había unas pequeñas cabinas interactivas, donde podías escuchar fragmentos de sus obras. Se activaban con la tarjeta de entrada al museo.
Al salir del museo, vimos La Oca de Oro, de la que dice la leyenda que podía hacer rico a aquel que la encontrara, siempre y cuando no se compartiera esa riqueza.
Ya que Marian se había traído un pequeño trípode y sus filtros para la cámara, decidió hacer alguna foto artística de esta fuente.
Y también hizo un apaño con uno de sus filtros para que yo pudiera hacer lo propio con mi modesta compacta.
Había una parte de la ciudad vieja que nos quedó por ver, así que decidimos intentarlo de nuevo.
Finalmente, conseguimos llegar a la plaza del mercado, que estaba muy animada, con gente sentada en las terrazas de los restaurantes, y puestos de venta de artesanía.
Y en el centro de la plaza, la sirenita de Varsovia, que también tiene su leyenda al respecto.
Disfrutamos de la fantástica tarde dando un paseo y cómo no, haciendo algunas fotos.
De vuelta al hotel, no quería dejar pasar la ocasión de hacer una parada en el centro comercial *Zlote Tarasy* poco antes del cierre, donde estuvimos dando un paseo y tomando un helado antes de volver al hotel a hacer las maletas.
Día 5.
De vuelta a casa.
Tras hacer el registro de salida en el hotel, nos dirigimos a la estación central de tren de Varsovia, y compramos el billete hacia el aeropuerto.
Nuestro vuelo de vuelta salió a tiempo, y creo recordar que aterrizó incluso antes de la hora prevista.
Y en esta ocasión, sin problemas para Marian por sus vértigos.
Tras recoger las maletas, en las máquinas expendedoras de Renfe compramos el billete de vuelta a Zamora en primer lugar, y a continuación, el billete de Cercanías desde el aeropuerto a la estación de Chamartín.
Así podíamos aprovechar la misma opción combinada que en el viaje de ida.
En cuanto al billete de Renfe, nos decidimos por la opción más barata, que era el último tren del día, así que pasamos unas cuantas horas en la estación de Chamartín.
Os adelantamos que las aprovechamos bastante bien.
Y tras un día agotador, llegó la hora de coger el tren. En sólo hora y media, llegamos a nuestro destino.
Pues bien, esto ha sido todo.
Ahora, a pensar en el destino de nuestras próximas vacaciones.

Day 4.
This would be our last full day in the city. Since we lucked out getting around Warsaw using Google Maps earlier, we used the stuff again to plan our sightseeing again.
We headed to Wilanow Palace on the bus, and then walked for a few minutes until we got to the entrance. This time there were signposts telling people how far the sights were.
We did see the Palace and it was definitely worth it.
There was something unusual about the different rooms and it was the fact that there were small replicas made of perspex of some of the paintings on display to help blind people feel what the people or things in them looked like.
After seeing the palace, we strolled around the gardens. The floral arrangements were really beautiful, with a lot of attention to detail.
By the time we finished touring the place, it was time for lunch, so we got the bus to our next stop.
We stopped at an Egyptian restaurant. The food was delicious, although servings were too hearty for us.
After lunch, we walked to Chopin Museum. It is a small museum that doesn't take long exploring. There were some interactive booths where you could hear fragments of his pieces. They were accesible with the visitors' entrance cards.
Right after the visit, we saw the nearby Golden Duck, which according to legend could turn rags into riches for whoever found it, provided you didn't want to share those riches.
Since Marian had her tripod and filters with her, she took some artsy photos of the fountain. And also helped me try my hand with my humble camera using one of her filters.
There was a part of the Old Town we had yet to see, so that's where we were headed to next.
We got to the Market Square, bustling with activity, with people sitting in the cafés and many stalls selling crafts.
And in the middle of the square is the Mermaid Statue that has its own legend too.
We had a great evening wandering the streets and also taking more pictures.
On our way back to the hotel, we stopped by the *Zlote Tarasy* mall shortly before its closing time, exploring the place and eating some icecream before returning to the hotel to pack.
Day 5
Homecoming day.
After checking out in the hotel, we headed to Warsaw Central Station and bought our ticket for the airport.
Our return flight was on time, and I seem to recall we even landed earlier than scheduled.
I'm happy to report Marian had a vertigo-free landing this time. Yay!!
After collecting our luggage, we first bought our return ticket to our final destination, Zamora, from one of the machines and then the ticket for the commuter train to Chamartín Station.
That way we could utilize the same combo deal we used a few days earlier.
As for the return ticket to our hometown, we chose the cheapest one Renfe had available, so we had to wait for several hours in Chamartín.
Let us just tell you we certainly made excellent use of that time.
And finally, after an exhausting day, it was time to take our train. In just an hour and a half, we got to our final destination.
Well, this is all for now.
Now we'll have to think of what place to visit on our next summer holidays.
